Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue. That might be the only solution
Yes, the Director has the full MS Excel app on his Windows 8 device, but I can't expect all of our clients to go and do the same, in business many of them will have the iPhone
We may have to change the way we produce the report because of Apple's failings here, and it's not the first time that we have had to change something because Apple devices can't display them properly

How to view a position details in PO13, when the same position in viewed ..

Hi all,
How to view a position details in Po13 transaction, when the same position is viewed by some other person.
When I try this , it shows me an error message that some other person has locked it.
How to unlock it ? Is there any way where I can unlock the transaction, so that I can see the details of the same position which was viewed by the other person.

You can use the transaction SM04 to unblock it. But the other user's session will be deleted. Easier way would be to use transation PO13D to view the position.

How to find the position of view in MM02 transaction for coding BDC?

Hi Guys,
Is there any FM or BAPI Available to find the position of the view in MM02 transaction. I tried FM SELECTION_VIEWS_FIND. But getting inconsistent results
i.e Some materials it is giving correct positions but for others i am getting wrong position. So my BDC is getting failed.

Labels on Forms are not maintaining positions when viewed on a different computer

I have a project with 14 forms. The labels for the text boxes are perfectly aligned on one machine, yet when I run the project on a different machine (same screen resolution and all fonts available) many of the labels are no longer left- or right-aligned
as designed. I have experimented with changing the Autoresize settings (using Font, DPI, etc.) for the forms as well as the text alignment settings for the labels themselves, but they don't fix the problem. I am using Visual Basic (Net 4.5) in
Visual Studio 2013. Any ideas??

According to your description, the labels on forms are not maintaining positions in different machines.
I suggest you disable the AutoSize(set to false).
Or you could put the label in a panel or similar, then use Dock instead of just Anchor property.
If it still not working, you could share a little sample which can reproduce the issue. we could help you better.

Text box moves position when viewing

When doing some testing on a new home page I'm developing, one of the text boxes adjusts its position depending upon which browser I'm using. It's driving me nuts! When viewing it through Internet Explorer, the gray text box in the middle column (for now says advertise here) shifts up. I'm unsure why this is only happening to this one particular text box or what I can do to resolve the issue. I attempted to move the box down a little ways, but then when I viewed it through Firefox it looked odd being pretty far down.
Normally I'd say it's because of IE, but it's odd this is only happening to this one text box. Any thoughts?

Assuming that you have used web-safe fonts and have done a Command A in iWeb to make sure there are no box overlaps, you could try deleting the box, save, quit, reboot your Mac and then relaunch iWeb, add the box back, save and republish.
The restart will dump the redundant files out into the trash and hopefully eliminate any chance that the box is corrupted in iWeb.

Netflix not logging position / episodes viewed

Ever since the update to 5.1 Netflix generally doesn't log an episode as viewed if you compete it, so it doesn't move to next episode as it should.
You can confirm that 0 mins logged as viewed if you check your instant viewing history in account on the desktop website.
Netflix seem to confirm this bug after 3 separate lengthy online chats, yet it still isn't fixed and I think it's due to lack of complaints and this issue is annoying as you can loose which episode is next if you haven't watched something for a while.
I've tested and if you watch 10 mins of a show it logs and resumes from 10 minutes if you stop go back in.
Watch the whole show even using fast forward to credits and it logs 0 minutes viewed.
Watch 10 mins, resume then watch to end and it still resumes from 10 minutes.
Something is buggy with their code at the end of an episode so it doesn't log / update the viewing position.
Please complaint to Netflix if you can.

How to change the position of Views in IC webclient

Dear all,
Our requirement is to change the Views locations in IC Webclient Interface. like we want to see morefields view (BuAgmoreFieldViewset) in the place of Product Veiw in Identify accout work area.
In the same way in Interaction record we want to replace follow-up activity view has to be replaced with Interaction record partners view.
Kindly suggest me what sort of development is required for this requirement. How can we configure this in SAP?

There is no easy way or direct configuration to handle this . You need a complete knowledge of all concepts in IC WebClient Cookbook , essentially View , Viewset and how to make modification in standard viewset . Once that is done you will have to Handle the Navigation using the Navigation Link concept . Apart from that you will need BSP/ Object Oriented ABAP to handle the Object Node Instantiation either in the Inbound Plug etc so that your View Context Node and Attributes are populated to be display .

Website Built with Adobe Muse: Item jumped out of position when view in browser

I created a website in Muse and I am experiencing a strange formatting issue. Take a look at this page:

All of the other pages on this site were created in the same way and layered the same way. The only thing I can see that is different is that there are 2 text blocks side by side, but why would that make a different?
Got any ideas why this would be happening? Has this happened in Muse to anyone else?

I figured out what was wrong. Somehow the items that were moving had the footer box checked. I did not check it, but the problem has been solved!

Problem with embeding the same view in dynamically created view container

              I am getiing a dump when i try to embed the same view inside the dynamically created view container of
dynamically created tabs of a tabstrip
The requirement go like this, i have 2 views in which i have have to embed the 2nd view to view1 where i have an empty
tabstrip without tabs. During runtime i create tabs as well as view containers accordingly and then try to embed view2 in tabs.

However onaction tab select i change the embeding position( 'FILE_PERS_EDIT/view container name of different tab') of the view2 an try to embed view2 in a different tab.
At this point i get a dump stating View2 already present in the window 'FILE_PERSISTENCE_WND' of component.
I think, the view2 embediing has to be removed before i add the view2 in a different tab
Kindly let me know how to remove view2 embedding from tab1 before i add a view2 to a different tab or is there any other
means to handle this problem?

Ann.: I my example, I had 3 views: VW_MAIN which embedds VW_SUB. VW_SUB has the tabs in it and VW_SUB embedds VW_CONTENT.

Window Position & Prefs "Gone"

Every time I start up or restart, any window position, size, view etc info is gone, and I get a view very different than what I had set. I have tried to delete the Finder plist, but it did not help. I did notice something extremely weird as well.
I noticed that the Finder plist is actually deleting itself about every 30 - 60 seconds when I open the ~user Library prefs, and cannot find anything that might be causing this. Repairing permissions, running utilities such as DiskWarrior etc have not helped. This condition actually exists identically on two Macs I am using. The only thing in common is that I ran an updater for Missing Sync for BlackBerry from Mark/Space Software, and took note of the condition being created on the second Mac immediately after doing this update.
I don't really want to do a full reinstall of the System, as I suspect I will still end up with this "condition" after reinstalling my working applications.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

On a full restart, any windows left open will retain their position, view, etc - but closed windows "forget" when reopened.

Trigger an event in the parent view, when popping a child view (Mobile)

So from one view I'm pushing another view with some data:

The problem I have is that in this other view I'm updating a view things in my sqlite database, so when I pop the 'EditSystem' view and return to the original, I want to run a function to requery the the sql so I can update a view things in the original view. But from what I can fugure Eventlisteners dont work across views? How do I trigger an event in the original view when I return from a child view via pop?

Is caret positioning in right-to-left oriented jtextpane corruptable?

Dear all -
Below is a serious problem. I hope I can get help from you experts out there; otherwise, I think it is a bug that should be reported to the JDK developers.
I am writing an editor using my own keyboard layout to type in Arabic. To do so, I use jTextPane, and my own implementation of DocumentFilter (where I map English keys to Arabic letters). I start by i) setting the component orientation of jTextPane to be from RIGHT_TO_LEFT, and ii) attaching a caretListener to trace the caret's position.
The problem (I think it is a bug just like what is recorded here: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/SDK-16315):
Initially as I type text in Arabic, there is one-to-one correspondence between where I point my mouse and where the caret displays, basically, the same place. However, a problem occurs (and can always be re-produced) when I type a word towards the end of the line, follow it by a space character, and that space character causes the word to descend to the next line as a result of a wrap-around. Now, as I point my mouse to that first line again, the location where I click the mouse and the location where the caret flashes are no longer coincident! Also, the caret progression counter is reversed! That is, if there are 5 characters on Line 1, then whereas initially the caret starts from Position 0 on the right-hand side and increases as more text is added from right to left, it is now reversed where the the caret now increases from left to right for the first line, but correctly increases from right to left in the second line! yes funny stuff and very hard to describe to.
So, here is an example. I wrote the code below (JDK1.6_u10, on Netbeans 6.5 RC2) to make it easy to reproduce the problem. In the example, I have replaced the keys A, S, D, F and G with their Arabic corresponding letters alif, seen, daal, faa and jeem. Now, type these letters inside the double quotes (without the double quotes) including the two spaces please and watch out for the output: "asdfg asdfg ". Up until you type the last g and before you type space, all is perfect, and you should notice that the caret position correctly moves from 0 upwards in the printlines I provided. When you type that last space, the second word descends as a result of the wrap-around, and hell breaks loose! Notice that whereas the mouse and caret position are coincident on the second line, there is no way to fine-control the mouse position on the first line any more. Further, whereas adding text on the second line is intuitive (i.e., you can insert more text wherever you point your mouse, which is also where the caret would show up), for the first line, if you point the mouse any place over the written string, the caret displays in a different place, the any added text is added in the wrong place! All this because the caret counter is now reversed, which should never occur. Any ideas or fixes?

I looked at it and indeed, I see what you describe. Sorry, but I can't shed any light. I tried to figure out what software component, or combination of components, is the cause of the problem. I see several candidates:
1) The JTextPane
2) The Document
3) RTL support
4) BIDI support
5) Interpretation (by any other software component) of the left and right arrow key
6) The font
To clarify number 6: I know virtually nothing of Arabic language (apart from it being written from right to left). I remember however that the actual representation of a letter is dependent of its position between other letters: front, middle and end. What I see to my astonishment is that it seems that the rendering is also aware of this phenomenon. When you insert an A between the S and D of ASDFG, the shape of the S changes. Quite magic.
I tried to add a second textpane with the same Document, but a different size, to see what would happen with number one if one types text in number two and vice versa.
In my first attempt, the font that you set on textpane one was gone after I set its document to number two. For me that is very strange. The font was set to the textpane, not to the document. The separation betweem Model and View seems not very clear in this case. So I now also set that font on the second textpane.
I will post the changed code so that you may experiment some more and hopefully will find the problem.

Contextual event in reverse direction ( from child TF to parent view )

Hi ,
It seems all example of Contextual events talk about mirroring input value from Parent page to Child TF running in a region and there are numerous examples out there.
What I wanted to accomplish was that an lov in a child TF triggers a contextual event and the parent TF takes the selected list of values. It needs to conduct a search based on these values and than mark the rows in a (tree)table.
What has succeeded is almost all aspects of this. I can fire the event and receive it successfully. But the problem is the the backingBean class that I create via EL is not binded to my parent pages components. The treetable component returns null.
My handler code (the handler code from the bean which you use to create the data control to listen to the cntxtual event) is almost 1:1 to as the code from the book "Oracle Fusion Developer Guide: Building Rich Internet Applications with Oracle ADF Business Components and Oracle ADF Faces", Chapter 6, page 210.

The #{backingBeanScope.ConsumerBackingBean} evaluates in my case to fine. But every component I should see as binding in the bean is null.
Since the handler is declared in the pageDef of this parent page Fragment, i assumed the last bit about it being able to get to the backing bean and hence to my components should also be possible.
If I cant refresh my components than I dont see the use of the contextual frameworks for me.

Org Chart 3.0: Position Statistics showing N/A

Hi,
When I tried to show Position Statistics (Views->OrgUnitHierarchy->Analytics->Position Statistics), every field (Vacant Positions, Occupied Positions...) in the Box shows N/A. This is not right my data have values. In the log file, I got the following. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Hi Luke,
This is caused by incorrect ABAP Add On. It looks like you need to install different Add-On, whether you're upgrading from earlier version, or a brand new installation. This is solved when we imported the correct Add-On (Delta upgrade from 3.0 to 3.0 SP1).
