Possible fault on the line

Hi,
Hoping somebody on here can help before I pull all my hair out. Firstly, I have been having this issue since I moved into a rented house on 20th November 2012. Basically a LOT of noise on the line and a broadband connection of 0.13mb.
After going through the motions, with multiple times of IP profile resetting and having to wait 10 days for stabilisation periods and replacement of Microfilters and routers, the IP profile would ALWAYS decrease and the connection would settle on 0.13mb speed.
I eventually managed to persuade second line support to send out an engineer on Wednesday. He fiddled about with the line going to my house and replaced the master socket. He also rang up to reset IP profile etc.
He told me that there is no reason why I shouldn't get 2mb-3mb. It did all start swimmingly, with an average noise on the line of 6db (the engineer told me that 9db would probably be the norm as I am around 3km from the exchange).
Over the last couple of days, I have been keeping an eye on noise levels, speed, and the IP profile. The noise level has increased dramatically to 19db! The IP profile has dropped to 1mb and I am getting a speed of around 0.9mb.
Now my question is, is this due to the stabilisation of the line. Is the IP profile able to increase of its own free will or will it only get lower, plus will my noise levels go down? It's getting annoyingly frustrating. I am a web developer so need the internet at decentish speeds in order to work overtime for my company.
I've copied my ADSL settings for you to have a look at anyway. Any advice would be amazingly appreciated. I really don't want to wait another 8 days only for me to be in exactly the same situation again!

First day on new contract and a fault on the line....

I never normally bother writing in these forums but wanted to vent my frustrations somewhere after spending hours on the phone to BT and bascially getting no where.
Have been a BT phone customer for quite a few years and decided to move the broadband to BT in order to get the BT sport channel. The first day that my service was meant to switch providers the phone line is totally dead and obviously no broadband. When I spoke to someone, having spent ages on hold, they tested the line and found a fault. I told them how this happening on the same day as we changed contracts is a coincidence that I fail to accept. They basically said that it was a coincidence and it could take up to a week to fix. I live on a farm and therefore use the phone and internet for work and also have very limited mobile phone reception. If I had known we would have this issue when we changed contracts I'm not sure I would have bothered. We will see how this plays out from now but whilst each individual I spoke to seemed to understand and appreciate my position I basically got no where and on the first day of a new contract with BT I am left deeply unimpressed with the service.

Is it possible to get the line, an error occure on MobiLink upload (handle_error)

Is it possible to idendify the row of upload set, in which an error occured (given it's not a general fail of query), solve the error and continue?
In my current example I'm getting a unique key exception on upload I'd like to handle with some automatism.
Alternative: Waht's the best way to find such an error before trying applying data?

Not sure but the best way to trace an issue to analyze server logs.
You can set log level for "mobilink" in SCC as "debug". (Server>settings>change log level) But again,
Keeping high level for logs may reduce app performance hence not recommended for production.

Is it possible to hide part of the line in webI line chart

I had webI line chart which is showing for 2 months data, and is it possible to hide the line for only first 10 days in the line chart and continue the line after 11 th day till the end?

@rajesh: I didn't understand why should we use Relativedate() function?can you please explain little bit more. Becuase the report has customer exit written such a way that if I run the report today it will show up previous 60 days
For example:
today is 04/06/2011
so in the report date column has values and shows up like
02/06/2011
02/07/2011
02/08/2011
04/05/2011.
So now I should hide/avoid/shouldn't show First 10 days. In example above 02/06/2011, 02/07/2011,02/08/2011.....like wise 10 days so till 02/16/2011 shouldn't be shown in the report. The beginning of the report should start from 02/17/2011 till 04/05/2011..

I have lived in my perfect rural location for just over 2 years now, when I first came the broadband worked beautifully and I was pleasantly surprised at how stable/fast ot was given where I am.
Last winter we had some pretty poor weather/high winds and since then my connection has been ropey at best. I have had 2 engineers out so far and am awaiting another hopefully today. I think that the problem is caused by the line going through so many trees until it reaches the pole, the first engineer replaced the line to allow some slack for movement but still have problems. The second engineer thought he had found a fault 100m or more from the house but then reported all ok on investigation. When I called to report the problem (last 3 days no phone or internet!) the automated service kindly told me there was no fault with the line! Argh! But an engineer is due to resolve by today apparentely.....
How do we stand with the whole tree issue and interference caused as a result? The council tell me they don't cut or trim trees for phone lines but I am at the point of cancelling everything as whats the point in paying for something that doesnt work or at best is intermittent!?
Any advice/help please...

if it is the trees that are causing the problem then it is the owners of the trees who need to trim them no openreach. obviously if that is your problem then regardless which ISP you use apart from cable you will have the same problem

How to validate the line item values in OFR - quantity , unit price and UOM

Hi All,
Is there any possibility to validate the line items like quantity, unit price and UOM against the DB and stops those invoices at verifier (1 batch =10 invoices) level if yes could you please let me know the process how to proceed further.
due to this some the invoices are coming to OFR is with incorrect quantity, UOM and unit price different from PO lines information like quantity , UOM and unit price and those invoices are not validating from the DB and these are processed to EBS and it's effecting the GL and reporting.

I did not get the exact requirement.Let me bit:
In standard AP project lines validation will try to compare the quantity , unit price and UOM of line against the database for match which actually performed on export.
So even if match fails batch will be exported.Now if you want to correct it before EBS,i think you can do it in the business process easily that you are consuming whether BPEL/BPM process.
We have done this in several projects

But If you want that to be done from OFR side i think we need to code UserExitPONumberValidate event to compare the line items values against database.I need to test this also.

How can I control the line spacing in TLF

Hello,
Is it possible to control the line spacing in TLF?
For example I might have text lines with font size of 12 (i.e. constant text height) but I would like to be able to change the space between the lines programatically.
Playing with the lineHeight property is not the best approach because in case there are images embedded in the text once lineHeight is set then the image is cut if it is higher than the line height. I really need to control the space between lines but not the lines' height.

I would like to achieve the following behavior: the gap between all text lines to be always X pixels.
My understanding how TLF handles this (please correct me if I am wrong) is that there is no gap between TextLines but one could achieve similar behavior by playing with lineHeigh. You could set it to a percentage and then this would introduce visual gap between text lines however in cases when a text line contains elements with different height (like the case with images or spans with different fontSize) then the gap will differ because it is calculated as a percentage of the overall fontSize. I don't want to have different gaps in these cases. I would like to have always (let's say) 10 pixels between each text line.
What I need is very similar to the "verticalGap" style available in the VBox container. I would like to specify the exact gap between each text line in exactly the same way.
Using "lineHeight" is not good because it depends on the height of the text/images and this leads to different gaps when I have mixture of elements with different heights. The way I set the gap should not be dependent on the height of the elements.

Intermittent problem with the line

I have an intermittent problem with my line which crackles or you miss parts of a conversation because voices spoken or listened to keep coming and going all the time or the phone cuts out altogether
Telephone the help line which said that the line was OK at that moment as they did the other time I called keeps on happening on a daily basis every time we get a call.
Next door neighbour and other neighbours around this close all linked to the same local bt or open reach cabinet all tell me they have the same problem.
Neighbours called their own phone company who rent the line off of BT who got an open reach engineer out the next day and found that the local exchange or cabinet next to the house across the road from me all the phone line coverings have corroded away and that the wires are all damaged and corroding away or rotting away.
So the local road (culdisack) has to be dug up and the exchange and wires have to be replaced from that junction box to the next junction box or exchange, what i want to know is when will this be done as all the neighbours and i have been reporting it to BT for ages but it was not till next door got their company to investigate was the problem found.
How long till we have to wait for a repair and better lines back to a good service, Months, years. when?
It would not be so bad but i have a lifeline connected to my phone so if i am in trouble it calls for help but with the fault with the line half the time it cannot get a single message or call out and before now i have been left on the floor for ages before someone came back home to get me off the floor as the box just said the phone line was disconected and could not get a dial tone or call out.

Data Migration from 11i to R12 Global - Open POs,lines, receipts & on hand upload, Is it possible to do the onhand qty upload with over riding of all receipts which uploaded against Open PO lines?

We are in a phase of data migration from 11i to R12
I was discussed with client & they wants extraction of all open POs which was generated after 01 Jan 2014 to till date in 11i.
Condition for open POs is PO qty-received qty=>0
critical Example for open PO is :PO no: 10 has 4 lines, 3lines full qty has been received & for 1 line partial qty(say 50 out of 100) received.
in this case he wants in R12 uploading as PO no:10 should entered as open PO with all 4lines & 3 lines complete receipt should be done, for 4th line partial qty i.e 50 should be received.
the question is if we upload on hand qty first, then open POs & receipts, it will increase the onhand qty in new system(mismatch of on hand qty's 11i to R12)
Is it possible to do the onhand qty upload with over riding of all receipts which uploaded against Open PO lines.
Or Please advice best solution.

I was thinking that this process would allow me to better track and understand the pallets which arrive to the site so I have set up the pallet as a material but systems doesn't allow me to order the line (pallet) without value?
Or maybe there is other way which will allow me to track the pallets within the system?

Thanks for the reply. Of all the suggestions I've received this seemed to
be most promising. I gave it a try and the problem is that when I attempt
to save as optimized a message box pops up and says I have to save my
document first. Low and behold when I save it, compression occurs. Even
when I select the options you suggest I'm left with a compressed document.

options", choose "Remove compression". Turn everything else off if you

Comparing the "line" results of two Cubesets- is it possible?

Hi all-
I had asked this previously- I'm going to try again and hopefully be clearer about what I'm hoping to accomplish. I'm open to any way to accomplish this, although in the best possible world I'd be able to keep it inside one or more cubeformulas using MDX
as needed.
Using Cubeset, I can grab a slice of an AS cube. For this example I'll use [locations] and [Jan 2014]. The resulting cubeset has 3 items:
Rock City
Orlando
Boston
Now I want to compare two measures for equality (by location), without building a pivot table or creating a cell for each of the returned locations (some cubesets will be quite large).
For example, it is important that [Hours worked] and [Hours paid] are
equal. I don't want to know if the overall sums are equal, I need to know if they are equal for each item in the Cubeset;

So in this example, the grand total is the same, but my comparison should return a False/failed result because one location paid more than they should have, and someone at the other location got underpaid.
What is the best way to compare measures at a "line item" (cubeset) level without powerpivot or pivot tables? I'd even take a VBA solution over a pivot table- I'm good with VBA, although it would still be another learning curve for me
to learn how to access the AS cube more directly and make these comparisons in VBA.
One additional complication- for some measures, I will need to round (or roundup) the individual values before comparison. If a person works 8.97 hours, we are going to pay them for 9. For other measures it will be a normal rounding to zero decimals, to
smooth out calculation differences.
If I can get the individual line item comparison but not the rounding, I'll ask the cube folks to add rounded measures to the cube for me, so that is my backup plan if it is possible to do the comparison but not the rounding.
I appreciate any/all suggestions on how to do this comparison, starting from the existing cubesets!

As I understand you are trying to add compare the values.
I am trying to look into it but as of now I have this workaround for you. You can try to create a new column having if formula that returns 1 if the cell values are equal and 0 if they are not.
At the total row we compare the sum of value of the column with if formula that we created and the sum 1128 in this case with the help of if formula again.
The formula that returned wrongvalue is IF(B5=SUM(D2:D4),B5,"wrong values"). Please let me know if it works for you. Below is the table that I worked on -

Is it possible to change the baseentry/baseline/basetype in document lines?

I have created a PO and a SO with same item in document lines separately. I want to set the BaseEntry, BaseLine and BaseType of PO lines to points to a item line in SO. My code is like below:
                po.Lines.SetCurrentLine(0);
                po.Lines.BaseEntry = xxxxx;
                po.Lines.BaseLine = 0;
                po.Lines.BaseType = 17; // Sales Order
When I called po.Update(), i got error code -5002 with error message : Item no. is missing [POR1.ItemCode][line: 1]. I am sure when i called po.Lines.SetCurrentLine(0), it points to correct line. My question is Can I update the BaseEntry/BaseLine/Base in a existing document line item?
BTW, since the PO is created separately the BaseEntry and BaseLine are all empty or -1. Now, I am using DI 2007A.
Please suggest!

Hi Gordon,
I tried it again to create a new PO with all base document info in the line item, but this time I got error message: "Base document card and target document card do not match." with code -5002. The SO and the new PO have same line item and same qty. But I don't know what does that error message mean? Is it about business partner code? But they are different, in SO it is customer and in PO it is vendor. What's possible reasone for this error message?

Is it possible to change color on the line strip/code view in CS6?

I did some research on this and cant seem to see if this can be done - I was hoping to change the color of the blue line menu on the code view screen.

I take it you're referring to that vertical line in the left hand side of Code View? I don't think it's possible to change the color. If you disable line numbers (#), it's a bit less noticeable.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 12 running on? Have you updated 12 to 12.1 Update using an opened project's Help Menu/Update? If not, please do so.
For your immediate issue, have you update the Online Services in preferences?
Where are you in the program when you get the message "Not possible to initialize on-line services".
Are you in a country outside of the USA?
There certain online services that are just not available outside the USA.
Please review and consider and then, based on your details, we will consider what next.
