Ok i posted this in the general section, but i'll post it here
ok so i created a movie in iMovie and then exported it to iDvd so i can make a few copies to give to my friends. However it gets to the end of the encoding part and stops, when i click force quit in the apple menu its says idvd not responding. so i force quit and start over again. However it happened again the second and third time. So i stopped for the day. That was two days ago. Today i decided i wanted to import a Dvd using handbrake. It got to the very end of the encoding and it stopped. The fans where still blaring but it wouldn't finish up. So now i was really worried and inserted a blank dvd again and tried to burn my project, but it got stuck again, this time right before the encoding.
Is my superdrive messed up?Hi mason mason,
how long is your iMovie project, because encoding process can take hours before it is done and sometime even it is shows the bar process already fully blue, but the process might still go on for a couple more minutes.
Did you get any error message during encoding process, if not, try to be more patient and let it flow by itself (at least for another hour).

Hi All,
I'm still struggling with the same cube and this is my 3rd post and once i fix some thing the other breaks. Please forgive me. When i process my cube i'm getting the error:
Errors in the back-end database access module. OLE DB was unable to convert a value to the data type requested for column 5.
My question is when the error says column 5 (is it the column 5 in the DSV?) or is it the column 5 in the DIMENSION list?
My next question is the DSV Query works perfectly fine , so why this error in cube? This is what i have in the query in DSV.
Please need help. In the below query both the column 5 (ArEASSIGNED TO VENDOR) in the CUBE and underlying table have the same data type and length VARCHAR(4000). Why is the process failing still?

I don't know anything about cubes, but apparently there is some mapping problem when you run it from SSAS. (I assume it is SSAS, a part of the product I'm entirely ignorant of.) I figured that if you had got tripped by the zero-based numbering, you

I'm still struggling with the same cube and this is my 3rd post and once i fix some thing the other breaks. Please forgive me. When i process my cube i'm getting the error:
Errors in the back-end database access module. OLE DB was unable to convert a value to the data type requested for column 5.
My question is when the error says column 5 (is it the column 5 in the DSV?) or is it the column 5 in the DIMENSION list?
My next question is the DSV Query works perfectly fine , so why this error in cube? This is what i have in the query in DSV.
Please need help. In the below query both the column 5 (ArEASSIGNED TO VENDOR) in the CUBE and underlying table have the same data type and length VARCHAR(4000). Why is the process failing still?

SQL Server agent job failing to back up database
I have set up a SQL server agent job to back up database on regular basis.. For some reason the back up fails.. Could not find any meaningful info in the logs.. Transaction logs are getting created for the same DB but not the database back up..
The below is my environment..

Any pointers would be helpful.. I checked the event logs and the agent logs and did not see obvious error.
ThanksI have set up a SQL server agent job to back up database on regular basis.. For some reason the back up fails.. Could not find any meaningful info in the logs.. Transaction logs are getting created for the same DB but not the database back up..
The below is my environment..
MS SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.1399.06
Windows 2003 server SP2
Any pointers would be helpful.. I checked the event logs and the agent logs and did not see obvious error.

NO answer can be provided unless you show us the error message. There can be numerous reasons for backup job to fail. See job history for details please post complete information present in job history.
Check errorlog and note what error message is there at time when the backup job failed. You could find something useful. Please learn how to post question in forum just saying I have a problem will not help both of us.

Why a "Database - General" category?
After my previous wish list - for more effective forums > during posting new questions can this be done?
This time I want to ask do we really need a "General" category after all these categories, I think this category decreases the efficiency of the posts.
Like "SQL and PL/SQL" or "Installation" there could be a "Database - Backup&Recovery" and "Database - Performance Tuning" categories but not a "General" one please, lots of people are tired of warning others for the appropriate forum category to post.

But I do not see it happening - when the typical forum user has a question, they want an answer but they do not want to spend a lot of time looking for the right place to find the answer .... or they would be checking the docs or asking where to find the answer in the docs.
People can not even be bothered to enter the database - general questions in the 'Database; group of forums. Instead we are seeing database questions dumping in the Feedback forum ... probably because it's the first one.
Part of the problem is there are too many sub-categories.
Part of the problem is there are too few people answering in the sub-catgories.
Databases - Installation was a fairly slow forum. I started answering there exclusively for a while. I note that the number of discussions has increased dramatically since I started responding. (I do not take credit for this, but I think perhaps having one more knowledgeable respondent helped.)
We may be dealing with the "MacDonald's syndrome" in which "popular and advertised" attracts attention. After all, the popular forums are advertised (show up more often) on OTN and Google.
So perhaps the answer is simple - start answering in a specific forum and people will be attracted to that forum. Then maybe the 'Database - General' will only attract newbies who get no answers becuase all the seriouus users are elsewhere.
The other side of the same coin isL when you are a DBA, how much time do you really spend with each of the specialty topics? How many real experts do we have in those? (I know only 1 Workflow specialist outside of Oracle for the Workflow forum, only a smnall handful in the Spatial forum, very few who are truly adept at AQ or Streams ...) -
Plan/Budget data posting back to GL
Hello, the forecast/budget data that gets created in BPC, does it need to be exported and posted back to FI GL(or whatever other software they are using for their day to day general ledger)? thanks.

From database to excel and back to database from excel - how?
Environment: db 8,10 server (HPUX), IAS (SUSE), forms6i,10+report6i,10
On principle there is no problem to get data from database to excel but there is the problem how to get data from excel back to database. I don't have intention to use APEX. The goal is to move the cursor to certain row in excel sheet and depends of data in this row call Oracle form in query only mode. Here is the solution to write URL into the excel cell but still exists the problem how to reduce number of session because each call of the form open the new session what I don't like to do.

I paid $20 to a person from the apple customer support line to have my iPod touch upgraded but it never went down. The representative who assisted me said that I would have those $20 posted back into my Visa card if it didn't go through. The service never got to happen and failed. Prior to this I made a purchase from the iTunes Store for $7.00, which they never billed me. So until I pay for the previous iTunes purchase, I am not allowed to download any applications. This is the reason why I need the $20 back from the separate request I made with apple which never worked out. Cause as soon as I pay for the previous iTunes purchase that I made apart from apple, then I could once again start to download and install applications. I have a week already without downloading apps. Please refund my money back a.s.a.p.

Webservice Connection:
From the Manage Connections, select the add and select Web Service Connection.

Problem JSF Posting back on comamndLink
I have a commandLink in JSF that is posting back instead of going to the desired destination. Does anyone know why this might be occuring? I don't get any exceptions and the browser seems to be making a request to the server, the action just never gets executed!

Are you sure that it is posting back? Sounds like a silly question, but if you e.g. just have a testing environment where you observe this, you might play with identical page designs. The URL you see in the browser will not be refreshed upon actions (server side redirect).
You should also check the rendered HTML to see, whether it meets your requirements.

I have checked the datatypes of the table and datatypes of the Pageitems, both the datatypes are same.
I have created the region using the wizard based on the VO.
My custom table having only 3 columns and History Columns.Out of 3 columns PersPersonid is Primary key column and I am assigning the sequence value to the column in create method of EO as below

Sorry to bother you again. I was wondering if this time somebody could help me figure out what am I missing because the post back fro 2 buttons I have in an ASPX page go out of the portal. I have Web Controls 2.0 installed, I have the HTTP modules in my config page, I have the prender=true in my form. Oh, If I use a link button then everything works correctly. But I do not want to use a link button. I need to use a regular buttons.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
TaniaThat is a know issue with the 2.0.1 web controls. Give the 2.1 beta a try and move ptrender="true" to the <asp:button> instead. The beta 2.1 work very well. Also, search this site for some of the "gotchyas". There is a fair amount of information on the developer center dealing with the web controls.

I have a table with several account numbers that have corresponding department ID, and I am trying to select multiple specific accounts who have data in multiple specific department ID's. This is where I started. select * table1 a, table1 b, table1 c
