Power Point upload,, fonts lost

When uploading powerpoint files, we use a custom templet for
all presentations, the fonts are lost. How can we insure that the
fonts stay the same?

Damon,
Quick question: Are you hosting your own content, or are you
using Adobe's server?
I ask, because at one point, Adobe had a Tech Note regarding
the use of fonts (see Tech Note
http://www.adobe.com/go/1dd95057),
but admittedly, that was an issue back with Breeze 5.1.
I did some digging around and came up with another Tech Note
regarding font usage:
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_18722,
but I think that was also another Breeze 5.1 issue.
As far as I understood, I could have sworn I saw some
information about font issues being rectified if content was hosted
on their servers, but that also meant if you were using a
"non-standard" font (meaning anything other than Arial, Helvetica,
Verdana, Times, etc), then that font set had to be installed on the
server displaying your content, otherwise, everything would default
to Arial or Times as needed.
When you say "upload powerpoint files" are you talking about
posting your deck to the Content Library for viewing in a virtual
meeting, or is the content being used merely as Training /
e-Learning material?
I'll try to do some more poking around and see if I find
anything else related to this.

  • Power Point uploaded to Content Library is losing text

Power Points (pre-2007) are losing bulleted text when uploaded to the content library, i.e., bulleted text is in original file, but missing within uploaded file (bullet is still present, just text missing). Am I missing something obvious?

I have come across the same issue today and was wondering the same thing...What is wrong?  And I am using Microsoft 2007.
    Thanks!

  • Installed Yosemite and my power point bullet fonts have gone weird. How can I revert back to original bullet point menus

Since installing Yosemite the font menu on my bullet points has changed to strange symbols.  I am using Office for mac 2011

so what are you moaning to us about? you want an older JRE, go install it. I don't know why you're taking this as some personal insult or something, it's not like anyone here is either responsible for this or can do anything about it.
Your little playground fight with MS concerns me not in the least.what playground fight? by and large, everyone here is a programmer who uses the java programming language in a professional capacity. that's got absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the JRE arguments of a few years ago. get your facts straight

  • Upload iphone video to windows power point

    i have quick time 7
    windows vista
    iphone 4
i need to upload iphone video to my pc then into microsoft power point presentation

Photos captured by your iPhone or photos that are available in your iPhone's camera roll (a photo saved from a received email or from a website is also stored in your iPhone's camera roll) are not included with the iTunes sync process except for being included with your iPhone's backup, which is created and maintained by iTunes.
You can transfer photos from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process, and the sync process for such photos is a one way transfer process only - from your computer to your iPhone. Photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process are stored in your iPhone's Photo Library, which cannot be imported by your computer.
Do you have another digital camera and if so, have you imported photos by your computer that were captured by this digital camera?
I believe Windows includes a camera and scanner wizard for importing photos from a digital camera. When your iPhone includes photos in the camera roll, it is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer.

To answer some basic questions posted to aid people in helping me. These are
I believe it is version 11 of iphoto as i tried to update but it says it has the latest update and Mac is 2 weeks old from new.
    OS is Lion.
I have just tried to look everywhere on the Mac to see where the photos might be.
There are no error messages showing on screen and it was fine before my wife did what she did. Even though we have back -ups of 95% of the pictures. I would like to know what happened so that it won't happen again.

  • Lost sound on Power Point (.pps) attachments to eMails

Since I have upgraded my Mac to MAC OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.1), I am unable to get any sound on .pps attachments to eMails (the same attachments to the same eMails received on my PC laptop do produce sound). In an attempt to maybe solve this problem, I remove OpenOffice from my Mac and downloaded anew OpenOffice 3.1.1 I still cannot get any sound. I also have the Microsoft Office suite on my Mac, installed before my upgrade to Mac OS X, and its Power Point program also fails to produce any sound for .pps slidesshows.
I do have sound on videos of any kind.
    Can you help?
    Thank you for your attention.

Mistake in title of my post. Should have read ".pps". Sorry.

  • CFFILE - uploading power point - ppt and pptx

    Hi,
How can I update the mime types in my cffile to reflect office 2007 documents.  This code not longer accepts power point:
    application/vnd.ms-powerpoint.
    Thanks!

You might try: "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.presentation" as the MIME type for pptx.  Bear in mind that the client browser specifies that MIME type, so the MIME type may not necessarily match the actual file being submitted.

  • Power Point didn't show in correct alignment

I have created a power point slide and wanted to present to my CEO. Somehow, my chart didnt show correctly when in presentation mode. Everythings fine in normal mode.

    Hi,
In regarding of the issue, I have some questions.
Which PowerPoint version did you use?
Was the presentation created in an earlier version of Point ?
Did only one chart of the slide encounter the issue?
How was the chart displayed incorrectly in presentation mode? Resize the chart, lost data or show the partly of the chart?(If you could upload some image, I'll appreciate about it)
Did you show the presentation in a projector and occur the issue?
Please try the following methods to test:
If you use a latest PowerPoint (such as PowerPoint 2013) to open a presentation created in an earlier version, please try to convert the presentation to the new format and re-open it.
If you show the presentation in a projector, please use "copy mode" to test.
    Start the
PowerPoint in safe mode. If it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins one by one.
    Repair Office.
If you upload a sample of the presentation, I'll test in my environment.

  • Correct dimensions for Power POint Slides

What would you all recommend for dimensions for Power Point slides so that they fill up the screen
with no border. My customer is cramming too much text on each slide and it is beyond title safe, going to near edge of TV screen upon viewing.
    I have sequences that are both 16 x9 (720 x 480) and 4 x3 .
    Thanks,
    Al

I agree with that much text it is not looking good on the TV that I am testing it on. On computer it is better. I thought about the color layer below the slide but the design of the slide has 2 color boxes, (one horizontal, one vertical) on it and putting a layer below doesn't look good so far.
I am probably going to have to edit each slide and shrink the font and increase the borders.
I am talking to the admin who made them today.
A bigger problem is that they have trouble playing the DVD's I make with iDVD in their PC environment. The DVD's either play jerkily or not at all compounded by the fact that the people have lost all the remotes to their DVD players and can't pick a chapter. So I am trying to come up with work around.
    Thanks for response,
    Al

  • New to apple and wondering if using keynote is easier than power point.

    Hello all,
I have only been using os x for about 6 months, and I was wondering if using keynote is easier than power point? I am in school so I need to know if keynote will save in ppt format. The school that I go to only uses MS office 97 to 2004 format for all docs and power points. Is using keynote that much different?

i find keynote MUCH easier in almost all areas. it did take me a little learning in the beginning. the main thing to know is that apple uses a floating pallet call "inspector" to control just about all the details of the presentation. they also have a "formatting bar" which is conceptually similar to the formatting bars microsoft uses in the previous versions of office (font size, etc...).
the basic entry for slides is the same, where one just types into the fields on the slides. what i find much better is the control i have in the "inspector" to fine tune anything. i've gotten completely dependent on keynotes "staging" which is how one makes the slides animate. if i have a series of bullets and a diagram, i use the staging to get the diagram to be revealed in stages and to get the bullets appear one at a time in sync with the diagram i'm explaining. nothing is more boring for an audience to have someone just stand up, thru up a slide with 100 words and read the text bullets.
i find keynote to be much easier to develop diagrams or to copy and paste in a PDF picture. then add the staging effects i need to develop the story to explain the diagram or picture. it does take a little learning how to do it the first couple times. but the interface is consistent and it's not hard to learn it.
the only aspect i find a little easier in powerpoint is the indenting style, which is controlled in one of the editing buttons in office 11 and before. keynote controls the indenting from the "inspector" instead of having a little button in the formatting bar. but in every other way, i find keynote to be MUCH easier to use. and it has other features that powerpoint doesn't have. plus iwork is very inexpensive compared to microsoft office. finally, if you are near an apple store, they have free seminars on iWork fairly often. the 1st time i used keynote, i went to the apple store workshop and got a few answers. just see how easy it is to get person to person help for microsoft office...
the only other game in town are the various releases of the open source programs, "open office" and "neo office". they are free, also read and write ppt files, but are a little harder to use than keynote and don't have as many features.
    anyway, that's my experience.
    good luck!

  • Office Web Apps 2013 not loading Power Point

  • Hello, what to do if a program crash? I was working in a power point presentation and suddenly the little rainbow circle appeared and can not close the program, thanks

Hello, what to do if a program crash? I was working in a power point presentation and suddenly the little rainbow circle appeared and can not close the program, thanks

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Press Alt, Command and Esc keys, select the crashed app and force quit it. Then, open this app again.
If you didn't save this document, it's possible that you lost the changes you made unless you have OS X Lion or Mountain Lion and they saved your document automatically

  • Importing Power Point into LCDS

I was wondering if there is a way to import preferably a Power Point presentation or a PDF document into LCDS without hours of copy/paste.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Try viewing them on an external NTSC/PAL monitor then decide. If they still look like junk you can always regenerate them in Motion, Photoshop or Illustrator.
I've never gotten a PP presentation to look good in video unless the fonts, backgrounds, etc were all selected with that output path in mind.
    good luck.

  • 3D power point images don't import

    Hello,
I have a Power Point template I'm trying to import - almost
all of the slides contain images with 3D shadings, shadows, and
    perspectives.
Once the slides are imported into Captivate, all of these 3D
effects are lost, and as a result, in several cases the diagrams
appear to be out of alignment.
What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?

    quote:
What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it?
    (1) You are misunderstanding how Captivate treats
Power Point project imports, and (2) there is nothing you can do to
    fix it.
Power Point slides are imported to Captivate as merged
(flattened) images. All transition effects are lost during the
import, with only the finished slide being imported. This is the
way Captivate treats Power Point slides and the behavior cannot be
    changed. Sorry.
