Powerpoint can't open in MacBook

I can't open my pptx file from my MacBook, I have got error which is "the server application, source file or item cannot be found. check that path and filename are correct, or try reinstalling the server application" Kindly guide me how to slove this.
Thanks you & Regards.

Your .pptx contains a link to an object (file) which can't be found, or contains an object which cannot be edited or displayed (it's an MS error message, not Mac, and the "server application" means the application which served originally the object to PowerPoint). Either your Office Mac installation is incomplete, or the presentation included some linked or embedded object from an app not available in Office Mac (eg, Access).

    I can't open iTunes, MacBook Pro 10.10.3

Did you try this section of the support document?
    Opening iTunes
It's possible that clicking the iTunes icon in your Dock or double-clicking an iTunes icon on your desktop could open (or be trying to open) an older version of iTunes. Open iTunes from the Applications folder to be sure you are opening the right version:
    Double-click your hard disk.
    Double-click the Applications folder.
    Double-click the iTunes icon.
If you notice another copy of iTunes in the Dock after following these steps, here's a way to take care of that:
    Quit iTunes.
Drag the iTunes icon out of the Dock.
Drag the iTunes icon from the Applications folder to the Dock.

  • I can't open my macbook pro.

i can't open my macbook pro. it keep asking for the password but when i key in the password. it still kep askin for the password.

Try to reset the password then.
Boot to your Recovery partition (hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and under the Utilities menu, open Terminal and type
    resetpassword
...a small app will open allowing you to select the user for whom you want to change the password. Enter the new password twice, give yourself a good hint, click OK and then reboot and use your new password.
    Couldn't be simpler...

  • PowerPoint can't open saved Keynote docs

Recently, any Keynote I make and save as a PowerPoint is corrupt. Keynote can open it fine, but PowerPoint can't. Is there a way to fix this?

Everyone is having this problem right now. Seems like there may be more to it than just the grouping issue that laurent commented about. I also read that you need to convert all graphics to RGB instead of CYMK.
I for one, don't understand why it is taking so long for them to get this figured out - they should just convert the images and groups to support PPT - I know MS cares less and will never support us Apple users. Maybe Apple could give us a break on this one...

  • Powerpoint can't open Keynote '.ppt' presentations...

    Hi,
I've just got MS Office for Mac and while Word is quite happy opening Pages documents I saved as '.doc's, Powerpoint won't open the Keynote presentations I have saved as '.ppt's. I've tried all the workarounds I've come across on the web (exporting, inserting, copying) but none seem to work.
When I try to open the '.ppt' file, the error messages I get are: first, 'Powerpoint can attempt to repair the file. If you trust the source of this file, click Repair.'; second, 'PowerPoint cannot open /Users/username/etc. because part of the file is missing'.
    All advice gratefully received.
    Tim

Try to start your mac in safe mode, i.e. switch off (by pressing the power key for some 5 sec until it switches off. then start again by pressing the power key and immediately after the startup tone press and hold the shift key until you see the apple icon.

I can't access my MacBook because I installed Mac keeper, my password doesn't work, the stupid download messed up my computer. What should I do?

Do NOT download or use the ‘MacKeeper uninstaller’ from the MacKeeper website.... as this will cause even more damage

  • I can't open my macbook. When I plug the charger the led light turn into green and orange then green then orange...

    Please help!

If you have an older MBP with a removable battery, you might experiment with removing the battery, plugging it in, replacing the battery, etc.
You might experiment with a different charger, if you have access to one.
Otherwise, you can try Resetting the System Management Controller .
Having said all that, it is most likely you will have to take the computer in to a service place for testing/repair.

I can't open my MacBook Pro. I hesitate to try and pry it open with any kind of device, because I"m worried about breaking something. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be very much appreciated!
This has happened to me before, but somehow, eventually, the lid eventually pops open.
