You only need to have one copy of the function.
It appears that you are copying and zipping the same file multiple times.  Why?

  • Perl script running - "text file busy" error?

    Hiya--
    Recently, whenever I try to run a perl script, I get the following error:
    tcsh: nameofscript.pl: Text file busy.
    The permissions on the perl script are set to 755, and this error message occurs whether I type "nameofscript.pl" or "./nameofscript.pl" at the prompt. The initial line is of the script is
    #!/usr/bin/perl
    Has anyone else encountered this problem? I can't for the life of me figure out why it's occurring now. (I've run this script before without any problems. It's only within the last 2-3 weeks that this error pops up and won't go away, and only for .pl scripts.)
    Advice much appreciated.

    Hi Mahesh,
    I could suggest you some services that you may stop in Windows platform.. If not You may look into some services
    with analogous names and stop them. But you may go about stopping all database and SAP J2E services.
    The services are

  • Create a file if it does not exist when a script runs

    I have a shell script I run using automator that puts on the clipboard a string like Page 001, Page 002 and so forth incrementing the number 00x everytime it runs. I use it when I need to sequentially name files when doing things like scanning documents and so forth.
    Presently, I have to manually create a file "~/counter" and enter the integer to start counting from. So if ~/counter contains 0, pbcopy places "Page 001" on the clipboard and so forth
    The shell script
    <pre class="jive-pre">
    #!/usr/bin/env bash
    myvar=$(cat ~/counter);
    let myvar=$myvar+1;
    mycopy=$(printf "Page %03d" $myvar);
    echo "$mycopy" | pbcopy;
    echo "$myvar" > ~/counter;
    </pre>
    works fine now.
    I want to modify the script so that if ~/counter does not exist, the script creates a file and initializes an integer value say 1 in the file. If the file exists, the script uses the integer used in the file.
    How can I get this done?

    And because I can not leave "Well Enough Alone"
    #!/usr/bin/env bash
    count=0
    [[ -r ~/counter ]] && read count anyjunk_aftercount <~/counter
    count=$((count+1))
    echo "$count" >~/counter
    printf "Page %03d" $count | pbcopy
    The anyjunk_aftercount is just in case something else gets into ~/counter. Assuming the first non-blank field on line 1 is the count, then anything following the count will be stuffed into anyjunk_aftercount and since the script ignores it, it will go away when the script re-writes ~/counter with just $count

  • Run Script for opened files

    Hi,
    I once got a script by this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/962689)
    That script gets Indesign files from a specific folder,
    now I want to change this script, so it can be used for allready opened Indesign files.
    Below is the original script (with huge thanks to Muppet Mark)
    #target indesign
    function exportFolder() {

               if ( inFolder == null ) { return };
              idFiles = inFolder.getFiles( '*.indd' );
              for ( i = 0; i < idFiles.length; i++ ) {
                        doc = app.open( idFiles[i] );
                        offSet = doc.documentPreferences.documentBleedTopOffset;

  • Append new records for a spool file

    Hello,
    I am running a query and sending the output to a spool file.
    The query never returns the same data because it is run every 2
    hours
    How can I make the spool to append the new records and not
    overwrite the old records?
    Thanks
    Carlos

    SPOOL.SPO[OL] [filename[.ext]|OFF|OUT]
    Oracle documentation provides no indication that any append
    functionality exists for the sql*plus command SPOOL.
    I can recommend two solutions:
    1. Spool to a temporary file in sql*plus, then perform a
    concatenation using the OS. Automate the process with a shell
    script (or batch file, as the case may be).
    2. Write the file using DBMS_OUTPUT.

  • Air - Sqlite with Adobe Air insert data in memory, but do not record on the database file

    I have the code:
    var statement:SQLStatement = new SQLStatement();
    statement.addEventListener(SQLEvent.RESULT, insertResult);
    statement.addEventListener(SQLErrorEvent.ERROR, insertError);
    statement.sqlConnection = sqlConnection;
    statement.text = "insert into table values('"+TINome.text+"','"+TISerial.text+"') ";
    statement.execute();
    This run without error and the data is inserted (i dont know where), but when i see into database with firefox sqlite manager, the database is empty! But the Air continue run for a time like the data was recorded on the database file. I dont know what is happen with it.
    Help please!

    Toplink In Memory was developed by our project to solve this problem. It allows us to run our test either in memory or against the database.
    In memory, we basically stub out the database. This allows us to speed up our tests about 75x (In memory we run 7600 tests in 200 secs, it takes about 5 hours against the database). However, it throws away things like transactions, so you can't test things like rollback.
    In database mode, it just uses toplink, Another benefit of it though is that it watches all the objects created allowing an automatic cleanup of created test objects - keeping your database clean and preventing test interactions.
    We used HSQL running in memory previously, it worked fine. However, we needed to write scripts to translate our Oracle SQL into HSQL. Also, we had to override things like the data function in HSQL, and a few of our queries behaved unexpectedly in HSQL. We later abandoned it, as it became a lot of maintenance. It was about 10x faster than running against Oracle.
    Interestingly, we install oracle on all our developers machines too, tests run way faster locally, and developers feel way more comfortable experimenting with a local instance than with a shared instance.
    You can find the toplink in memory stuff at:
    http://toplink-in-mem.sourceforge.net/
    I provide all support for it. Doc is sketchy but I'm happy to guide you through stuff and help out where I can with it.

  • Script runs fine in e-tester, fails in e-load navigator

    I have an e-tester script -- 4 steps -- that logs into files-stage.oracle.com and deletes an existing folder. It uses a databank to vary the URL and userid and password. When I run this script from e-tester, it works. When I run it from e-load navigation editor I get the following error on the screen where I confirm the delete of the folder.

    I am not sure what it is telling me and would appreciate any hints or leads.

    Hi
    What the error is telling you is that; we do not receive a link back from the server and we are unable to continue running the script, this issue is probably due to etester not correlating some values properly.
    Is a bit difficult to say what is wrong with out seeing the navigations in navigation editor, do you think you can upload a screen shot of the navigations.

  • UCCX * Recording Script

    Team - I used to have a recording script that would collect prompt number like 345 and record a wavefile 345.wav.
    It workd in UCCX7 not in UCCX 8. Is there any path information I need to set correctly for this to work? Will defining a document variable wavfile
    doing a Recording step to save to wavfile
    and write wavfile document to say
    promptnumber + ".wav" work where promptnumber is the collected digits 345? It seems to fail on UCCX8. Thanks

    Unlike the Windows version where you can see the prompts in wfavvid, in
    version 8, they are uploaded to the Repository where they are stored.
    Windows release (7.01) versus Linux (Version 8)
    They then can be seen in the appadmin under the navigation: Cisco Unified
    CCX Administration.
    Then Applications\Prompt Management.
    NOTE:
    Manage prompts. Many applications make use of pre-recorded prompts, stored
    as .wav files, which are played back to callers to provide information and
    elicit caller response. You must upload these .wav files to the repository
    and make them available to the Unified CCX system.
    In the Version 8 UCCX, that location for the user prompts is not a path you
    will be able to access due to root passwords are needed.
    But, the path is Opt\Cisco\UCCX\Prompts\user
    Attached are the default scripts for UCCX 8 which can be found on the pc
    that has the Editor downloaded.
    C:\Program Files\wfavvid_802\Scripts\system\default
    Also, make sure you do not have Create file document step ..else you could be running into this bug :

    Please help me. I don't understand why the script is launched from the sharepoint management shell but doesn't work from the cmd file.

    I have an answer for my problem:  for solving a problem I've made several steps:
    1. Run farm installation under AD admin credentials - runas /user:Domain1\DomainAdmin1 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\BIN\psconfigui.exe".
    This user has been added as farm administrator in the wizard.
    This user has been added as DBO in the SQL Server. (This is the main difference with my previous attempts)
    2. Execute a command Add-SPShellAdmin Domain1\UserAccount1 in
    the Management Shell of Sharepoint.
    3. Run SQL server and add Sharepoint_Shell_Access to the Domain1\UserAccount1
    (my main account) in the Config database
    4. Run CMD file only from Start->Run menu.
    runas /user:Domain1\UserAccount1 "C:\1.cmd".
    Do not use Total Commander command prompt or file list for executing *.cmd of *.bat files without root administrator account.
    Thanks all for help.

  • Saving records to a flat file

    Dearest experts,
    I do need your kindest assistance.
    I have over 15 fieldnames from 11 tables.
    Some of these fieldnames are mandatory fieldnames and others are optional.
    The users are instructed to enter 'NA' to any to any fieldname that doesn't have a value.
    So far, that has not been the case. Sometimes, they enter 'NA' to some fieldnames.
    Some other times, they leave them blank. So, there is really noway to know which fieldnames would be left blank, we are forced now to come up with pl/sql script that will do 2 things:
    1, select all of those 15 records, and with the help of an if else statement, or even CASE or DECODE, come up with a catch_all code that is something like:
    if this fieldname is blank, assign 'NA' to it.
    2, Save the newly corrected records to a flat file.
    I will be forever indebted if you can give me a hand on this.
    Thanks very much.

    Great guy, thank you Warren!
    a couple of more follow-ups, please?
    Silly question 1, does NVL work with numeric values like 0 as well?
    Second, if I need to trim some stuff off and I need to use something like Substr, can I fit that into NVL?
    Thank you soooo very much

  • Find Record count in a file.

    Hi,
    Is it possible to find the total no. of records (lines) in a file?
    With External Table: and using select count(*) on that external table.
    But here, we will only get the rows which are valid. Non Valid records will go to the bad file.
    Another ways is: Reading the entire file using utl_file.get_line and then incrementing a counter.
    But, we need to read through the whole file just to get the count.
    Is there any better way of doing this?
    Any suggestions?
    ( I accept sql/plsql is for db related things and not to handle OS related tasks. But I don't like writing a seperate shell script for this small thing because, I just moved every thing like data load, emailing etc in to plsql from unix and proc :) )
    Version:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bi
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    Unfortunately No Java is Installed
    Thanks in advance,
    Pradeep.

    1 alternative...
    You could set up a dummy external table pointing to the file that just has a single column of varchar2 with no delimiters so it reads a line at a time, and won't get any bad rows, then do a count(*) on that table.

    could you please help me on this.
    Thanks with Regards,

    Muthu,
    This issue usually occurs when the AM.class file is not available at the given location. Try to find out on the server whether this
    tflsm.oracle.apps.po.per.server.TflsmAM exists.
    If still the problem persists then go for redeployement by deleting the existing one.
    Regards,
    Gyan

    I'm extremely unclear on exactly what's happening. You mention something about a script running at startup in your subject, but then never mention that again. What's going on there? Where are you finding that script?
    That script would suggest someone playing a joke on you, by making your computer say "quack" every time you start up. That's not indicative of malware.
    On the other hand, a hidden file as you describe is a common malware trick, though I'm not sure why it would only contain "--purge" - that isn't a complete command, as far as I know, and the purge command isn't likely to be used for malicious purposes anyway.
    Still, you do have some indication that you're using Bitcoin-related apps, and there has been some Bitcoin malware that has appeared recently. See:
    New CoinThief malware discovered
    Note that the post on MacRumors that you refer to in your second post is almost six years old, and references a vulnerability that was closed later in 2008. It's completely irrelevant to any modern system.

  • How to install and set printer paper and tray automatically via script or batch file

    Hi,
    Our firm using HP Printers and we need to deploy printer in Citrix Environment where setting does not save to the Base PC Image.
    Because our Environment is Citrix (User Settings and Printer are deployed when user login).
    Can we build the setting into the Base PC Image for All users?
    Printer get install when using login.
    Problem that I am encounter right now are:
    1. How to correctly identify all tray from each printer.
    2. How to set all paper tray to A4
    I am currently using Powershell Script to install printers during login, all the printer driver has been installed to the Base PC Image.
    But the trouble I have is when the script run to completion.
    It only added the printer.
    I've been googling, but I can't find a way to detect printer tray or how to set all the tray to A4.
    I don't mind using any type of script/batch file or even program.
    Any of the following language is C#, VB.NET, powershell, vbscript or Event Access to HP API ?
    Our Environment:
    Windows 7 x32 SP1
    Windows Server 2008 R2 (Print Server)
    I am using the PCL 6 Printer Driver.
    Our Printers are:
    HP LJ CP1025NW
    HP C LJ 4650
    HP C LJ 3525
    HP LJ 1045
    HP LJ 2050
    HP LJ 3055
    HP LJ 4015
    HP LJ 4350
    HP LJ 4700
    HP LJ 2035n
    Thanks in advance
    Regards Dat.

    Most of those printers are commercial grade printers.  It would be best to post in the commercial LaserJet forums.

  • Warning when trying to launch application over mapped drive "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure you want to run this file?"

    We have 2 load balanced application servers that map drives with programs on them for users from a central server that are giving the warning "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure you want to run this file?". Basically how it works
    is a user logs in to one or the other application servers (for example, 10.0.0.1 or 10.0.0.2) and runs a log on script that maps an L:\ drive to the users folder on the central storage server (10.0.0.100). When the user goes to launch the .exe from the L:\
    drive it presents that warning.
    I've looked around and have seen recommendations that you need to add the site to the local intranet zone for IE, but when I try to add L:\ it tells me that I have entered an invalid sequence. It appears that you can only put network shares in that location,
    which is not how we're mapping the drive.
    Has anyone run in to this before and knows how to resolve it?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    A mapped drive letter is not supported so please try to input \\server or \\server\folder to see if it will help.
