Praoblems in creating a variable using JSP - el

Please help
How to create a variable using <c:set> whose value is
specified within the tag body . I want to use this
variable created as one of the parameters in a
javascript method call . But my problem is when I run
my application and do the view source , the HTML page
shows me the variable as it is without substituting
its value .
can anyone help ??? its urgentThis is my code :

Got an error while creating bind variables using sql database.

iam going to use sql database for ADF-BC .
i created the bind variable and apply the bind position for the corresponding variable in the view object editor.when i click test it shows me "query is valid". when i tried to run that it gives me two errors.
1) sql error during statement preparation.(ie) select empid ,empname......from the emptable where empid like :'emp' and
2) [Microsoft][SQl server 2000 driver for jDBC] invalid parameter bindings
i need help to know the solution for this...(or) is there any other way to create bind variable ......

The 3 binding styles supported by JDev:
Oracle Named - ie. SELECT xxxx FROM xxxx WHERE emp_id = :vEmp (note colon and variable name)
Oracle Positional - ie SELECT xxxx FROM xxxx WHERE emp_id = :1 (note colon)
JDBC Positional - ie SELECT xxxx FROM xxxx WHERE emp_id = ?
Literally this query is sent to the database to execute, then the bind variables values are applied as a separate database operation. If SQL Server doesn't suport any of these binding styles, it's not going to work. As Chris Noonan suggests, try the JDBC Positional style though as you're using a JDBC driver to connect to SQL Server and it should support that style (the others are Oracle styles), and make sure you've switched the binding style on the VO query page to "JDBC Positional" too.
You must also on the VO bind variable page define your bind variables.
Also read the 10.1.3 JDev guide on ADF Business Components and View Object bind variables.

Create local variable using labview scripting

I am trying to use labview scripting to create a control and a local variable for that control. I want both the local variable and the control contained inside a case structure. My problems are twofold:
1. the local variable is left blank/unnamed
2. the local variable is wired outside of the case structure, even though I set it's owner to be the same as the owner for the control (which is placed inside the case structure).
The flat panel is there because I thought that my problem might be a result of the local var being created before the actual control, so this just forces the control to be created first. The other thing I wonder about is the VI Object Class for the local variable. I have tried 'Node' and Control->Boolean, but neither worked.
I have attached a jpg of the code I'm talking about. The picture on thetop is of the code in question. The picture on the bottom is of the resulting code that's created....
Can anyone offer any help?

The reason your locals aren't tied to a control, is because you didn't make a local variable from any control. Use the Boolean reference wire and wire it to an Invoke Node and select the Create >> Local Variable method.

Creating A Variable Using Variables

I need to make a loop (which I know how to do) that needs to
do this (which I have no clue how to do):
Take arrayval and add the varaiable from the loop to make a
variable name in which I can use to call them from flashvars

I still am having this problem. If I set a flashvar
arrayval=4 then they all come up as 4 instead of using:
arrayval0=1&arrayval1=2arrayval2=5.

How to use or create time variable in my case

I want to design a report to calculate the number of employees every month by year according to employee subgroup. When users run this report, month variable will displayed prompt, after user input year, report will calculate the number of employees and with fixed format in row of report by each month in relation to input year . Does SAP provider these kind of standard variables that I can use in my case. Should I create a variable using customer exit? If yes, how to code this variable.
The fixed format by calendar month
Month--The number of employees
Jan.--The number of employees
Feb.--The number of employees
March.--The number of employees
April--The number of employees
....--The number of employees

I'm not sure if I understood you, but you can try doing this.
Create a variable for 0calyear. The user will input the year.
In the report you use this:
0calmonth - NumberOfEmployeesKF
If the user enters 2008, then it will show:
01.2008 - nnn
02.2008 - xxx
03.2008 - zzz

Creating XML using JSP

Hi I want to create a xml using JSP For eg I want to create a report
          and I want to take all the data required for the report from the user
          and want to put all the information in a session and whenever a user
          wants to see the html output I should be able to parse the xml file
          and show it to user.
          I know it is doable but I am confused about storing the data in
          session and concerting that data into XML file any help would be
          great.

Sounds like you might want to look at XML data binding. Something like JAXB
          or Castor can create an object that can be turned into XML by merely calling
          a single method and probably streamed to Xalan or whatever to create HTML.
          However, don't quote me on this - I am having enough troubles with trying to
          get the compiled Objects to be as I wish. Basically, they both take your
          DTD with an extra file that defines the types to be used in the classes -
          i.e. instead of string int might be used - and which tags to turn into
          classes and general information such as this about the output of your
          classes. You then simply call Unmarshal (for both castor and JAXB) and it
          loads the file from the selected input stream into the created object, you
          edit the object, what ever - store it on the server... and call Marshal to
          get back the xml... as this is all using streams it could be passed to Xalan
          for processing i think...

Excel size becomes large while creating excel file in jsp using content typ

Hi All,
I created an excel using jsp by setting content type as excel, the size of the excel is coming nearly around 5MB. If copy the content of that 5MB excel content and paste it and created another excel directly. The size of the new excel is coming around 1 MB.
It will be great if any body reply me as soon as possible.

Hello Friends. I have a requirement to create Text Variable using Customer Exit . So I created the Text Variable as "ZVRBMS" and assigned that with YTD &ZVRBMS& in the Structure of Query Desigener . so that Out put will YTD AUTO
OR YTD RETAIL
Now this Auto And Retail comes from Version that user choose via variable ZFIBMSVER IN User Promt. if ZFIBMSVER = 10
then ZVRBMS = auto . and if ZFIBMSVER = 20
then ZVRBMS = RETAIL
