In both node oracle user & group should be same but in your case looks different.
Once again check your user & group.

Pre-checks for cluster services setup
Hi Expert,
During the pre-checks for cluster services setup, I have got this error for Checking node connectivity.. How can I resolve this problem. The error is as follow as I enter "runcluvfy.sh stage -pre crsinst -n db-a,db-b" command. If the Check node connectivity fail, can I proceed to install the clusterware?

Verizon is charging my account for a service that was not provided.
I am a LONG term Verizon customer and no one is helping.....
I work in IT, with the Network and Mobility groups, so I know what I am talking about, network access, O/S, bandwidth, etc….
I changed to a droid Bionic, from my LG (broken). I started experiencing issues with inability to connect to a solid 4G network. The phone was not updated to Ice Cream Sandwich O/S and tried repeatedly to get update, but no go. Verizon did swap out with another bionic, but still experienced issues with inability to consistently get network access. I work in a big city, no one else was having issues at my work.
Husband left for Europe due to a family emergency mid Sept. FIL was in hospital. I work and there is a 7 hour time difference. We both had SKYPE on our phones. At work, I tried to contact him, using SKYPE. SKYPE would not connect, due to the phone issue connecting to the network. I had to call husband directly (international calls) to get updates on the condition of my ill, 96 yo FIL.
1. This was not an issue of an app that did not function and that Verizon does not support. I did not have access to the network, thus could not use SKYPE to make calls. This was not a choice to call international.
Verizon admitted that it was a phone issue. Since I am a long term Verizon customer and have insurance on the phone, they tried to give me yet another Bionic 9that would not work). After much discussion, they sent me a RAZR that was on the updated O/S.
Up to the 29th of Sept, I was on the Bionic and could not access SKYPE. Once I transferred over, I could use SKYPE and was not forced by Verizon to make international calls due the lack of network service that I pay for EACH MONTH.
When I received my bill for Sept, there were hundreds of dollars of additional charges.
This was due to the international calling that I was forced to use to check on status of terminally ill 96 yo FIL.
This was due to the overage of minutes that I had and was never notified of by Verizon, due to the interational calls.
I have tried to deal with Verizon on eliminating the charges. This is after having to deal with the death and funeral arrangements, service, etc of FIL. Verizon claims that I made the calls, thus I must pay. They admitted to it being a Verizon network issue when they traded for the Razr and updated O/S, but still want me to pay hundreds of dollars in extra fees that THEY CAUSED.szilasi wrote:
Just as a FYI.. Husband was at the hospital, not at a PC. It would be so sanitary and easy if all was scheduled properly, but guess what? Usually when someone is ill enough and has been rushed to the hospital and extended stay, you do not only contact at 6 AM in the morning. You check on statuses, talk to doctors, etc. during the day.
I thought you said YOUR phone was the one having the problem, not his. You could have Skyped/emailed from a computer TO his phone, but you chose to call instead.
Yes, you are correct, everyone does not always think clearly when in a stressful situation such as that. Does not mean someone else should pay for YOUR actions.
Another thing I notice about your prior post is you say "Verizon claims that I made the calls, thus I must pay." but you also claim to have made the calls yourself, so it isn't necessarily that Verizon "claims" you made the calls, you DID make the calls.
Finally, I have found myself in a similar situation in the past and most likely in the near future. I also didn't(and don't) expect Verizon to pay for my phone usage during those times. -
GSS multiple health checks for a service
Hi All
Does anyone know whether a GSS can perform multiple health checks for a service. For example I want the GSS to check whether the servers (south side) are up/down, but I also want it to check another criteria before determining whether a service is up/down?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks,
Kind Regards,

How to pre-check for HDCP (Output Protection) capabilities of a device
[ Background ]
Your application may want to pre-check if a device is HDCP compliant ahead of time to determine if you want to stream HD bitrates to it.
One way to do this would be to package your content with a DRM policy that sets the Digital Output Protection constraint to REQUIRED. During playback of that content, if there is a DRMErrorEvent 3338 (Unknown Connector Type) or 3342 (Digital output does not have supported capabilities), then your application can abort playback and request a lower bitrate stream that does not contain DigitalOutputProtection=REQUIRED.
However, this workflow is not a seamless user experience, because playback must end and restart. It would be better to pre-check whether a device has HDCP capability before requesting the appropriate content to stream.
[ Solution - Embed & load an "HDCP checking video" into your app ]
I have created an FLV content that is small enough to embed into your application and loaded/played in order to determine if the device returns a DRMErrorEvent 3338/3342 (no HDCP detected) or a DRMStatusEvent (HDCP detected & engaged).
I have attached the same FLV as well as sample code on how to embed/load/play this content. I have also included an HLS sample, if you are an Adobe Primetime licensee. I haven't provided a code sample for HLS, but the concept is the same - embed and load the m3u8. The .ts file is not required.
cheers,
/Eric.Hi zeroxx,
It sounds like you are trying to do the same thing that is in one of the shipping examples. Take a look at the example named "Voltage - On Demand Output" Under Hardware Input and Output >> DAQmx >> Analog Output. To get to the example finder you can select Help >> Find Examples... If that specific one does not fit your need try looking at the other examples in Analog Output to see if any of them works for you.
Hope that helps

Switched to Verizon and bought my phone and plan in Feb, submitted all paperwork to receive a discount because company I work for uses Verizon. Was told they lost the paperwork in Jun and I could verify my employment by using my employee e-mail. Did this and here it is towards the end of Sep and I still don't have my discount!! Very frustrated and think maybe I should have stayed with AT&T.
I'm so sorry about this, Vboozer! You should definitely have your discount! When you submitted the email, did you get any kind of a confirmation? Did you get an email at your work email address from Verizon Wireless? You can check and register for your discount here: www.vzw.com/discounts

I have an old iPhone 4 that finally stopped working. I have an unlimited data plan and want to keep it. When I called customer service, I was told like in the past that if you purchase the new phone at full price, you can keep your old plan. However, after some time on the phone i was told by the csr and supervisor that their system is not allowing them to complete the transaction without changing to a limited data plan. I was told to try going to a store and buy the phone. Same thing happened. Has Verizon changed something and not told their employees?
Seems like people having this problem are those coming from a phone that doesn't have a nano SIM card...so when Verizon issues them one they end up changing their plan. No clue why this keeps happening but stay on top of them. As long as you initiated the request for your plan to be reinstated within the 14 day time frame they should put it back. Interested in seeing how this plays out. There is still one phone in my house that hasn't been upgraded (an iPhone 4). I'm hoping when we do upgrade it at full retail they won't mess with her unlimited data plan

I'm trying to update my software to iTunes 10.5.2. I click on the install button, click the Accept button, the software checks for updates, and then I am back at the original download screen. I can't seem to get past this loop. Any suggestions?
If I go through the setup that you suggested, won't I screw up the existing software on my system?
No. The iTunes installer will first uninstall the existing version of iTunes and then put in the new one. (That's actually also what happens when you use Apple Software Update to install a new version ... it just doesn't show the uninstall phase like the iTunes64Setup.exe or iTunesSetup.exe does.) -
I downloaded Itunes to my computer today to update my ipod's ios (4.2.1 yes i know im way behind) but when i click check for updates it tells me my ios is the current one. How can i fix this? please help!
and at the same time....
I guess you can be glad that you at least aren't "way behind"!
Cheers,

What to do if the message "unable to check for update" appear? iPad is connected to the Internet.

I started to do a backup on my iphone 5s following a notice the device gave. but it was unsuccessful and in the first use of my iphone I saw my iphone battery drains drastically. I had upgraded the software to ios 7.1. what should i do now? is this a problem with the battery?
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

RAC Instalation Problem (shared accross all the nodes in the cluster)
All experts
I am trying for installing Oracle 10.2.0 RAC on Redhat 4.7
reff : http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/10g/OracleDB10gR2RACInstallationOnLinux
All steps successfully completed on all nodes (rac1,rac2) every thing is okey for each node
on single node rac instalation successfull.
when i try to install on two nodes
on specify Oracle Cluster Registry (OCR) location showing error
the location /nfsmounta/crs.configuration is not shared accross all the nodes in the cluster. Specify a shared raw partation or cluster file system file that is visible by the same name on all nodes of the cluster.
I create shared disks on all nodes as:
1 First we need to set up some NFS shares. Create shared disks on NAS or a third server if you have one available. Otherwise create the following directories on the RAC1 node.
mkdir /nfssharea
mkdir /nfsshareb
2. Add the following lines to the /etc/exports file. (edit /etc/exports)
/nfssharea *(rw,sync,no_wdelay,insecure_locks,no_root_squash)
/nfsshareb *(rw,sync,no_wdelay,insecure_locks,no_root_squash)
3. Run the following command to export the NFS shares.
chkconfig nfs on
service nfs restart
4. On both RAC1 and RAC2 create some mount points to mount the NFS shares to.
mkdir /nfsmounta
mkdir /nfsmountb
5. Add the following lines to the "/etc/fstab" file. The mount options are suggestions from Kevin Closson.
nas:/nfssharea /nfsmounta nfs rw,bg,hard,nointr,tcp,vers=3,timeo=300,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,actimeo=0 0 0
nas:/nfsshareb /nfsmountb nfs rw,bg,hard,nointr,tcp,vers=3,timeo=300,rsize=32768,wsize=32768,actimeo=0 0 0
6. Mount the NFS shares on both servers.
mount /mount1
mount /mount2
7. Create the shared CRS Configuration and Voting Disk files.
touch /nfsmounta/crs.configuration
touch /nfsmountb/voting.disk
Please guide me what is wrongI think you did not really mount it on the second server. what is the output of 'ls /nfsmounta'.
step 6 should be 'mount /nfsmounta', not 'mount 1'. I also don't know if simply creating a zero-size file is sufficient for ocr (i have always used raw devices, not nfs for this) -
How can I stop my iphone 4s from asking for my icloud, yahoo and other passwords all the time?
As long as you share that AppleID for iCloud, you cannot. You are sharing a a single iCloud account and sync services. The only thing you can do is get a second AppleID and use it with iCloud - you do not have to use that new AppleID for anything but iCloud (ie. you can still share an AppleID for iTunes and App store purchases).
P.S. I am assuming you both want to sync your contacts with iCloud?
