Preloader and 'on application start' problems

Hi everyone,
I've been working on my personal website, and everything was going great until I uploaded the project.
Offline everything works fine, but once I published it, a couple of problems appeared.
First, the preloader is acting pretty weird. It's going back and forth, no matter if it's the default one or a custom one.
Second, I used the "on application start" method on two swf's, but they won't play when the website loads, they remain static.
They only seem to work if I refresh the page once or twice.

I have oss loaded all the time, no problems whatsoever. Of course when ePSXe is running no other app has sound, but that's how it should work, the module goes straight to hardware, bypassing the alsa userspace where software mixing (dmix) happens.
You have a few options here:
1) Use an alsa plugin for ePSXe. Pete's plugin can be compiled to use alsa instead of oss, then there's the Eternal SPU plugin which can use SDL (which uses alsa by default), the ePSXe Core SPU plugin is alsa as well.
2) Don't use the snd-pcm-oss module, use ossp instead. That one creates a virtual /dev/dsp which does not got straight to hardware but instead routes back to userspace, giving you alsa software mixing. I've never actually tried ossp, so no idea how well it works.
3) What you plan to do can be done, but it requires root privileges, so if you want to automate that in a script, it would involve configuring sudo to allow loading/unloading without specifying a password. While it would work, it seems very hacky to me.
I'd advise to go with the first option. I've had audio lag with alsa in the past, and oss was the solution. But I'm still doing that purely out of habit (the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality), nowadays Eternal SPU plugin in SDL mode works well too.
Yeah, I figured out how to write the script but realized the root privileges would be required and didn't want to do that. I didn't know I could compile Pete's plugin to work with alsa. I did what the last post in this forum said to do and it compiled but when I try to go to settings ePSXe crashes. I should also mention that I had to change "-mpentium" to "-m64" in the makefile to get it to compile. What am I doing wrong?
