Preloader Stuck When Rewinded

Question

Hi,
My .fla file takes a long time to load, which is evident
through my preloader. So when I test my movie (ctrl + enter) it
goes straight to the first frame of my movie, but when I right
click and click on rewind it goes to my preloader which is at 100%
and it just stays there forever. Then when I right click again and
click on play, my movie works but then my cursor feature doesn't
work properly. When my movie plays after rewinded, I have two
cursors appearing, my own designed cursor as well as the
normal/custom arrow cursor showing.
Here is my preloader code on frame 1 of my main timeline:
t = _root.getBytesTotal()
l = _root.getBytesLoaded()
p = Math.round ( (l/t) * 100 )
_root.percentLoaded.text = p;
Continuation of preloader code on frame 2 of my main
timeline:
if (this.getBytesLoaded() >= this.getBytesTotal()) {
gotoAndPlay("movie");
else { //loaded is less, keep looping
gotoAndPlay(1);
And here is my mouse AS on the a separate layer (all the way
through) on my main timeline:
cursor_mc;
startDrag("_root.cursor_mc", true);
Mouse.hide();
Any ideas on how to make this work better?

Hey Joanna,
That right click and rewind thing is, as far as I know just a
feature of the
flash player. When you click it, it goes to frame 1 and
stops. (I could be
wrong, I've never really looked into it.)
If you really don't like it, there are ways to eliminate the
"right click->
rewind" functionality altogether, but an easy fix is to put
a:
play();
line under the line:
_root.percentLoaded.text = p;
That should solve it.
The earlier pause thing is a bit more tricky. I'm not quite
sure, but the
first thing I'd try is to change the code from an
onPress=function(), to an
onRelease=function(). Also, I kind of think it should be:
pause.onPress=function(){
not:
this.onPress=function(){
Give that a try.
