Moin, wenn ich Videos in Premiere Elements 10 schneide, exportiere und ins Netz stelle, gibt's ein Problem: Die teilweise großen Dateien laden erst komplett, bevor sie abgespielt werden. Ein Techniker meinte, es gebe einen Haken oder Flag, den ich im Programm setzen könne, um das zu verhindern. Welcher ist's? Beste Grüße und vielen Dank für die Antworten

Und über welches Format reden wir hier? Welchen Server? Streaming hängt immer auch davon ab, wie der Server die Daten liefert und eventuell umkodiert. Selbst eine H.264 die das entsprechende Flag für Streaming/ Schnellstart gesetzt hat, wird unter Umständen erst komplett gepuffert, wenn der verwendete Player/ Browser nur die komplette Datei anfordert ohne die entsprechende MIME-Info und wiederum auf dem Server der entsprechende MIME-Typ nicht bekannt ist, um die Daten in Häppchen auszuliefern. Das ist wesentlich komplexer, als dein "Techniker" das darstellt und liegt vermutlich sogar eher an übertrieben paranoiden Netzwerkregeln, einem firmeninternen Proxy, der erst alles cachen muss oder einfach der Verwendung eines Browsers (ältere Internet Explorer?), der mit sowas nicht richtig umgehen kann. Standardmäßig kodieren nämlich Adobe-Programem eben jenes H.264 und auch WMV in einer Form, die bei richtiger Konfiguration schon HTTP-"streamingfähig" ist (ist ja genau genommen kein echtes Streaming) und auch in Browsern wie Chrome und Firefox "flutscht".

Hello, thank you for your help. I finally was able to contact someone from Adobe on line.. It took about 1 hour on hold but I finally won the lotto...Lol. Pr.. /Project/Project Settings/General/ I had the (Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelerated (CUDA) and not the (Mercury Playback Engine Software Only) It only took 1 second for Adobe to figure it out...Lol.
Although I have a high rated Nvidia card that did handle the software for some time after a hack, I believe a Windows update may have altered my Premiere Pro CS6 settings.
Video card is Geforce Nvidia GTX 765M non compatible with (Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelerated (CUDA). Thank Ronin Edits and cvid01

Premiere rendering videos out of sync

Ever since 2 updates ago, Premiere is not rendering videos correctly anymore. The videos I bring in sync with video/sound but while I edit (and after I export it), the videos do not sync. This has made Premiere pretty much useless to me. Can anyone explain what is going on and how to fix it? I am on a Windows 8.1 computer with a dedicated video card, plenty of space and I even cleaned up the memory leaks and background programs before asking.

Videos AVCHD können in Elements 9 nicht geladen bzw. abgespielt werden?

Ich habe Photoshop Elements 9. Videos im Format AVCHD (FSH oder PSH) von meiner Panasonic-Kamera können nicht in der Organizer geladen werden bzw. nicht abgespielt werden. Manchmal funktioniert das - dauert aber schrecklich lange! Gibt es hier einen "Trick" oder einen passenden Codec, der hier Hilfe bringt? Danke für Antworten und Lösungen!

What are the properties of what you are putting on the PE11 Timeline? What is the project preset that you or the program set. Please see Edit Menu/Project Settings/General? How are getting the media into the project...Add Media/then what?
Please explain what you are doing when you refer to "uploading". Are you trying to upload your Timeline content to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook or are you doing something else when you refer to "uploading"?

Best practice for importing non-"Premiere-ready" video files

Hello!
I work with internal clients that provide me with a variety of differnet video types (could be almost ANYTHYING, WMV, MP4, FLV). I of course ask for AVIs when possible, but unfortunately, I have no control over the type of file I'm given.
And, naturally, Premiere (just upgraded to CS5) has a hard time dealing with these files. Unpredictable, ranging from working fine to not working at all, and everything in between. Naturally, it's become a huge issue for turnaround time.
Is there a best practice for preparing files for editing in Premiere?
I've tried almost everything I can think of: converting the file(s) to .AVIs using a variety of programs/methods. Most recently, I tried creating a Watch Folder in Adobe Media Encoder and setting it for AVI with the proper aspect ratio. It makes sense to me that that should work:using an Adobe product to render the file into something Premiere can work with.
However, when I imported the resulting AVI into Premiere, it gave me the Red Line of Un-renderness (that is the technical term, right?), and had the same sync issue I experienced when I brought it in as a WMV.
Given our environment, I'm completely fine with adding render time to the front-end of projects, but it has to work. I want files that Premiere likes.

I use an older conversion program (my PrPro has a much older internal AME, unlike yours), DigitalMedia Converter 2.7. It is shareware, and has been replaced by Deskshare with newer versions, but my old one works fine. I have not tried the newer versions yet. One thing that I like about this converter is that it ONLY uses System CODEC's, and does not install its own, like a few others. This DOES mean that if I get footage with an oddball CODEC, I need to go get it, and install it on the System.
I can batch process AV files of most types/CODEC's, and convert to DV-AVI Type II w/ 48KHz 16-bit PCM/WAV Audio and at 29.97 FPS (I am in NTSC land). So far, 99% of the resultant converted files have been perfect, whether from DivX, WMV, MPEG-2, or almost any other format/CODEC. If there is any OOS, my experience has been that it will be static, so I just have to adjust the sync offset by a few frames, and that takes care of things.
In a few instances, the PAR flag has been missed (Standard 4:3 vs Widescreen 16:9), but Interpret Footage has solved those few issues.
Only oddity that I have observed (mostly with DivX, or WMV's) is that occasionally, PrPro cannot get the file's Duration correct. I found that if I Import those problem files into PrElements, and then just do an Export, to the same exact specs., that resulting file (seems to be 100% identical, but something has to be different - maybe in the header info?) Imports perfectly into PrPro. This happens rarely, and I have the workaround, though it is one more step for those. I have yet to figure out why one very similar file will convert with the Duration info perfect, and then a companion file will not. Nor have I figured out exactly what is different, after running through PrE. Every theory that I have developed has been shot down by my experiences. A mystery still.
AME works well for most, as a converter, though there are just CODEC's, that Adobe programs do not like, such as DivX and Xvid. I doubt that any Adobe program will handle those suckers easily, if at all.

Transitions not working in Premiere CS6.Video was color corrected in AE 6 and sent back to PPro cs6.

I exported my film to AE6 from Premiere CS6 for color-correction and got it back to Premiere Pro through DYNAMIC LINK.Now,the problem is that AE has discarded all the transitions and also cross-dissolve and film-dissolve don't seem to work on this color-corrected video.I am able to apply the transitions but they don't work....somebody please help!

As Jim said, not all effects and transitions are properly translated when you replace a group of clips with dynamically linked AE composition. Actually you should have noticed that your cross-dissolves etc. had been replaced with black solid layers in After Effects, which didn't reflect your PrPro transitions.
Now you can jump back to your AE project and fix broken transitions there.
For your future work you should keep it in mind and decide whether to replace a group of clips (and, therefore, fix broken transitions in After Effects) or a single clip, taking care of its handles.

Bizarre error in Premiere during video preview, then crashes at export

I upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit & decided to also upgrade to Premiere CS4. It sets up, loads, edits fine, but once I try to ram preview the video composer distorts like crazy (pictures below, before and after.) Whenever I scroll it also flickers. Once I try to export the media, it crashes with an unknown error. I have tried to reinstall premiere twice now & don't know whats going on at all.
I work with clients on a 1 to 1 basis so its import for me to ram preview, I have a client on Monday coming so I really hope to fix this issue soon. Thanks, V.

Well, yes, but I call whenever I preview an area my work a ram preview. Whatever happens when you hit the Enter button thats what I mean.
I went through that troubleshoot John posted, nothing that really helps me. I have a quad core processor so I'll try changing the affinity to a single processor, but I really doubt that's it since it was working fine on windows XP.

I hope someone can help me out!
I have finally managed to get the 64-bit upgrade sorted out. However, most of the time I try to start my trial version of Premiere, I get an error message saying "CS5 has stopped working". No explanation. Nothing. It just doesn't open.
However, if I persevere long enough, after four or five attempts to start the program, it will inexplicably do so. My problem THEN is that a project I saved in CS4 seems to load OK but then I cannot get the video footage (unrendered) to appear in the preview window. Which makes the whole thing useless really.
If I then click in the preview window, the footage WILL appear but only as a still on whatever frame it happened to be on. Again, making the entire shebang useless.
So, if anyone has any brilliant tips on why these things are happening, do let me know. I feel like shooting someone! LOL
I am quite happy to buy a copy of this thing IF I can be sure it will work. But I fail to see why Adobe are pretending these problems don't exist. No help from the support team via phone at all.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm no expert on this subject so I'm not even sure I would know where to check the video-card driver. LOL.
All I can say is that the trial version of Premiere CS4 had no such problems on this laptop. I'm now using Windows Vista, Home Premium, 64 bit. The CS4 trial ran fine on Windows Vista 32-bit (as it was before I upgraded) so I'm unsure why Adobe would have moved the goalposts in that regard?

Premiere Elements (video format?) compatible with InDesign media pdf.

I have a 2 min. clip completed in Premiere Elements_10. I would like to place this clip into my InDesign_cs5 media compatible pdf. What do I need to save this video as so that I can place into the pdf. The MPEG2 1440X1080i 25 is not compatible.
End result, email the pdf and employees can click on the video. I prefer to place the video and not have it as a web link.

I was able to upload quick time movies (.mov) into the pdf – the movies were professionally made.
When I share and save the file in different formats like mpeg, windows media and quick time, they save as Adobe Premiere Elements Project (.prel) files; making them unable to import.
There has to be something little that I am doing wrong, but I cannot figure it out!

a. highlight your video on the Timeline of the Timeline view
b. click on Properties icon above Timeline to open Properties Palette. (Could also open Properties Palette via Window Menu/Properties)
c. In Properties Palette/Motion Panel Expanded, use the Rotation feature there to rotate your video.
Please let us know the outcome. We will fine tune the details as necessary, but I think that the above should do the job.

CS6 Premiere Pro video card error message

I do believe my CS6 programs WERE working, but... When I try to load Premiere Pro, I get the error message about not finding a video card. The suggestions and solutions (listed elsewhere on Adobe) have not worked: run as administrator, install latest drivers, etc.. I have a Dell Inspiron 560, Windows 7, and an integrated video of Intel GMA X4500. How can I get my Premiere Pro to load? Do I need to install a video card (if so, what are the recommendations--ATI, Nvidia, etc..). I started with CS5 and upgraded to CS6. Thank you.

Ask in the Premiere forum for specifics. also make sure to run all updates. The 4500 was only supported in one of the point updates.

Adobe Premiere 8 - videos directly to YouTube more than 10minutes

Adobe Premiere 8 doesn't allow me to share videos directly to YouTube bigger than 10 minutes. How I reset this to allow videos up to 15 minutes according to the new YouTube file sizes.

Welcome to the forum.
In the short form of the answer, no.
However, you can Export/Share, and then use your extended account to upload whatever your account allows. When PrE 8, and even PrE 9, were being coded, the limit was 10 mins. period. The extended/advanced accounts are fairly new. Perhaps PrE 10 will allow for longer files to be directly uploaded, but we will not know until about late September. By its release, YouTube might offer unlimited Duration, and PrE 10 will have been written for what existed, when it was engineered.
Good luck, and sorry for the bad news. Still, that Export/Share and then Upload has worked for most users with the bigger accounts.

Need some tips for premiere cs6 video editing

I have recorded professionally in a sound proof room with a microphone mc's, it's really good video quality and the sound quality is perfect too.
I have recorded with 2 different devices at different angles i'm going to remove sound from both video clips and use the recorded mp3 file made in Adobe Audition CS6 (amazing program) I want to have the 2nd angle recording put in the video so it shows the main video then the 2nd in a little box in the top corner, how can i do this?
Also any tips people can suggest for me on Speedgrade CS6 or After effects CS6 that will improve the viewing experience will be very appreciated.
Last thing playback in Premiere and after effects is very slow, no computer faults my laptop is extremely fast but one thing i've had this laptop about 8 months and not updates the graphics card, would it be that or is there a way to fix this? when i try playblack in after effects it says something like '0.9/29 frames (not real time), i downloaded quicktime i thought this was real time?

Adobe Premiere Pro Video Play Issue

This is probably not an advanced question, but I'm having a lot of trouble finding an answer. I'm trying to use Adobe Premiere, and I'm importing my video. In the first screen, the top left video play area that I import my raw video into, I find that I'm getting a very choppy play. The choppy play is making it difficult for me to time my cuts. The screen image will freeze while the audio continues to play.
When this happened initially, I assumed it was my hardware. I was running what I considered to be a decent machine, but I figured I needed a better one. So, I went and bought a better one. Now I'm running a machine with a Quadro 3100 graphics card. It's an I7, quad core, about 2.8 ghz if I recall correctly. (It's supposed to be able to over clock or boost or something, but I don't know much about that stuff.)
Anyway. Is there some sort of setting I should be using? Any advice would be really, sincerely appreciated.

My apologies for not having provided more information.
What version of Premiere Pro? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Pro CS5.5 with the 5.5.2 update).
I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5, and I believe I just updated it to the 5.5.2.
Have you installed the recent updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
I ran the update this morning, which is why I believe I'm using the 5.5.2.
What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.6.8"---not just "Mac".
Windows 7, and I believe it is Professional.
What kind(s) of source footage? When telling about your source footage, tell us about the codecs, not just the container types. For example, "H.264 in a .mov container", not just "QuickTime".
These are Quicktime .mov files. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of other information. They are files that were transferred to my computer, but I wasn't around when they were initially done.
If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?

I've never seen it play smoothly.
What other software are you running?
Just typical Microsoft Office programs, and Chrome, and maybe Explorer. But I rarely run anything else while I'm attempting to work in Premiere.

To my knowledge, no.
Tell us about your computer hardware. Be especially certain to tell us about third-party I/O hardware (e.g., AJA, Matrox, Blackmagic, MOTU).

Are you using Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration?
I do not know how to use this.
Does the problem only happen with your final output, with previews, or both?
It only happens to the raw footage and timeline footage. The output is fine, assuming I can find the correct place to make the cuts.
