Pricing Structure Question

This is our customers website (BC hosted): http://www.originaltwisles.com/twis-les-8-ft
On the website we have set up 5 cords for $40.00.  That only works if a person buys 5 of the same color.  If they buy, for example, 2 red and 3 blue then they would not receive the discount (5 for $40). Is there we can set them up 5 for $40 regardless of the colors chosen? The same thing happens on the wholesale part of the website too.
Thanks!

What version of EBS are you on?  I know in 12.1.3, there was a price book feature that enabled you to output the pricing from a particular list/modifier.  I didn't find it particularly helpful for what I was trying to do (i.e. show all the prices a customer could use), but what I deemed a deficiency may work to your advantage.

  • Changes in the PRICING STRUCTURE FOR THE DOCUMENT TYPE

    Hello Gurus,
    What is pricing structure?
and what is meant by changes in pricing structure for the document type.
Could anyone let me know about pricing structure and changes in Pricing structure for document type.
    prashant

    Hi Prashnat,
In SAP Pricing works on Condition Techniqe.
Condition Technic consits to following things.
1.Condition Tabels ( Assigned to Access Sequence )
2.Access Sequence ( Assigned to Condition Types)
3.Condition Types ( Assigned to Pricing Procedure)
    4.Pricing Procedure
5.In Pricing Procedure Determination will be assigning as fallows:
Sales Org + Dist Channel + Division + Document Pricing Procedure + Customer Pricing Procedure + Pricing Procedure.
Based on this the Pricing will be takes place in the system.
Hope this Clarifies your Doubts and Please Reward If Really Helpful,

  • Pricing int.Question

    Hi,
In one int. i faced this question. Business is selling Mobils. So if customer comes in BMW  discount is 5%,if he comes in BENZ  discount is 7%,if he comes in AUDI discount is 3%. how should i get this.
    Thanks u in Advance.

    hello and good morning, friend.
to define condition groups go to IMG > LOGISTICS GENERAL > BUSINESS PARTNERS > CUSTOMERS > Define Condition Groups.  you then make new entries here.  you can make the following entries, for example:
    z1   BMW
    z2   Mercedes
    z3   Audi
when you create or change a sales order, you will already see your entries when you select a line item and GO TO > ITEM > MORE FUNCTIONS > ADDITIONAL DATA A and looking at the drop down from Condition groups 1 to 5.
the next step is to include the condition groups field in your access sequence.  you will see that the condition groups 1 to 5 (KDKG1 to KDKG5) are already allowable fields.  you use, create or copy a condition table that has the condition group as a pricing variable.  for this to  be effective, you have to choose from condition groups 1 to 5.
you then include this table in your access sequence.  the access sequence is assigned to your condition type.
now do VK11 for the condition type.   the system will now allow you to define discounts based on condition group.  remember to use the same condition group that you defined in your condition table.  you can make entries, for example:
    z1   5%
    z2   7%
    z3   3%.
when you create your sales order, enter the value z1, z2 or z3 in the Condition Groups field.  check your pricing.
    hope this helped.
    regards.
thanks for the points.  you have been very generous.

  • Active Directory Structure Questions

I recently started working for a company that offers cloud services for our clients where we host our software as a service and we also migrate any other applications the client is using onto the servers that we host for them.
My concern is that every client we have is in our domain. The structure of our servers is that our domain is the top of the organization and each client has their own dc and that dc is listed as an organizational unit in our AD. I have never seen anything
like it. Most of the clients have their own domains and web sites but we do not migrate that portion of their IT into our cloud. We do however bring everything else over and we offer O365 to many of them.
Imagine if you will opening ad users and computers and under the root all the OU's are named after clients and actually represent their servers all of which are dc's.
I was wondering what if any precedent would support this type of configuration? I am just asking.
    Thanks

  • MySQL Database Structure Question

This is probably going to seem a little odd, but I need some outside opinions.  I'm using Dreamweaver CS5 to build a business website.  When all is said and done, it's going to have around 20,000 items (not anytime soon, but it'll get there).  I'm using a dynamic data set up to load the inventory because I'm way too lazy to build that many pages and links one at a time.
The corporate chain has two sections, lighting, and electrical supply.  I want the database to hold the product ID(of course), name, description, image(this is part of where the question comes in), price, sale price(discounts not our cost), an enum field for whether or not the item is discontinued(for our own records), size / weight for shipping reasons, and if reality is permitting, a field for color selection of the products.
My original idea was to have two tables, one for lighting, one for electrical.  Somebody pointed out to me that this could fail because they pointed out that some of the items might have multiple images, which is true.  Some of the items (like some of the fans we sell) have different colors but still cost the same.  They suggested I set the images up in a seperate table and use a foreign key. but that changes my entire structure.
Does anyone mind offering ideas on how I might set that up to avoid data redundancy and other problems that might pop up due to repeat listings?  I've got the images all with unique names (in the case of the same product in different colors, I added a color code like pb for polished brass, etc.)  That person had an excellent point on multiple tables, so now I'm wondering about a better and more reliable structure.

I'm ok with PHP, and usually pretty good with databases.  Right now I've got enough sample stuff to build a smaller scale prototype with about 200 products, from both lighting and electric.  Believe me, I haven't really done much more than start with the layout, because the many to many relationships just didn't occur to me.  Pretty much going solo on this project with occasional advice from one co-worker who's good at his job but extremely busy, so I think I just got a little to close to it and overlooked some clear and obvious problems.  As far as requirements, I'm using a 3 column div tag layout, the left column being the nav bar with the product categories.  When they click one of those, it should display that category (image, name, price) with the clickable name and thumbnail image in the middle, and from there they click the product they want to see and it'll display the full size image and full description on the right column.
Set requirements...wish I had a clear list, but the bosses are pretty much illiterate in this area of computers, so I'm on my own with that.  That's all I'm hoping to get out of the database is that three column layout.  I figure I'll make a changeable nav bar later so customers can switch from one store to the other and the nav bar goes from there.
We're hoping to get the database to have the fields I mentioned for now (at least for initial testing) and maybe add an inventory tracking function so we know how many we have throughout the chain.  We're not worried about that part now, just getting them up and selling cuz our current inventory system works just fine.  How would 10 or more tables be better?  Just breaking down the amount of products to be searched at a time, or is that how detailed you think it should be built?  Don't worry, I wasn't hanging everything on a two table set up, I knew there would be room for much improvement.
    Current basic layout:
Lighting / Electric Tables          Image table:  ID (either the product ID without the color code or maybe the document path), category(lighting / electric),                                                                   subcategory (fan, lamp, etc)
    id
    class
    category
    description
    price
    sale price
    discontinued
    size
    weight
That's what I've got so far, sorry for the weird way that list pasted....

  • Automated XML - Placeholder Structure Question

I'm testing XML import for a series of publications that need use automated layouts...having never attemped this. But I am confounded regarding the placeholder structure and how it should mirror the XML structure and am banging my head against a wall.
The basics of my pub are: I have profiles for every school in a district. Profiles are grouped by type of school (elem, middle, high). So my test XML example is structured like this:
    <elementarySchools>
    <schoolData>
         <name>
         <address>
         <city>
         <state>
etcetera...the rest of the profile is demographics, testing scores and other stuff.
    </schoolData>
    </elementarySchools>
Each school has about 43 fields.
I setup a document (not a tempate) with the 43 frames and taggge them to correspond to those in the XML
Each time I attempt the import to auto-populate, the XML comes in but no data displays in the frames.
QUESTION 1: Do the 43 frames need to be within a parent frame tagged as schoolData? If I drag a "schoolData" node in, it contains all of the proper data. But the objective is to auto-populate frames so they can be moved and styled as needed.
QUESTION: 2: If I ultimately need data to be displayed in a table-like layout, should I be trying to build tagge table layout?
I've read some tutorials on Adobe and I've watched a couple of Lynda vids, but I seems to be missing something important here. Any pointing in the right direction is appreciated.

Circling back on this in hopes someone can help get my ship pointed in a decent direction.
Reading up on tables via XML, as Mike mentioned, not the the greatest method and required building every table in the XML file. That's not really any more efficient for me.
However, since my "table" layout isn't that complex, I could create it using text frames that look like tables when styled correctly. This bring me back to my original issue: How do I get the XML to auto-populate tagged data frames and clone?
As sample layout would be something like this per page. Each "data" element would be a tagged frame, as well as School Name/address/phone/type:
--------------------beginning of school profile <schoolData> xml tag-----------------------
    School name
school address • phone • type
    Heading                                    Heading                  Heading
    title | data                                   data                         data
    title | data
    title | data
    title | data
    Heading                                 Heading
title | data                                title | data
title | data                                title | data
title | data                                title | data
title | data                                title | data
------------------ end of school  profile </schoolData> xml tag--------------------------------
--------------------beginning of school profile <schoolData> xml tag-----------------------
    School name
school address • phone • type
    Heading                                    Heading                  Heading
    title | data                                   data                         data
    title | data
    title | data
    title | data
    Heading                                 Heading
title | data                                title | data
title | data                                title | data
title | data                                title | data
title | data                                title | data
------------------ end of school  profile </schoolData> xml tag--------------------------------
    >> Repeat through all profiles
I can create my layout using frames. All headings and titles can be built into a master page or template. I could set up individual frames for each data point. But I cannot for the life of me get the XML data to auto populate those tagged frames. It still seems to have something to do with the container nodes...that more than one text frame can be nested in another or tables have to be created in the XML...both of which kill the efficiency of using XML.

  • File structure question for non .Mac hosts.

I am a support person for a labour union that host web sites for its locals. The technical knowledge level of these web masters are very low. A couple of them uses iWeb to design and publish their web sites. My question is, do iWeb forcibly put all files inside a sub folder instead of publishing to the root folder?
Users will be locked into their home directory after logging onto our FTP server. The index file should reside in this directory. However, the users who uses iWeb seem to always get their files published into a sub directory instead of the root folder.
Since the office I work out of is a Windows based work environment, I do not have easy access to trouble shoot iWeb software. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

When uploading to a server, the inclusion of the file and the folder causes the problem. If they exclude the "extra" index file and upload the contents of the folder (i.e. not the folder itself) to the root folder on the server then all should be well.
If they exclude the "extra" index file and upload the contents of the folder (i.e. not the folder itself) to the root folder on the server then all should be well.
This is not correct, Roddy. (Sorry) The published Site folder that iWeb generates should be uploaded as is. You cannot open the folder and upload the contents inside individually--this will break the site structure.
The Site folder provided by the iWeb application must be uploaded as is--i.e., by dropping the entire folder into the directory. The index.html file must also be uploaded into the same directory--not excluded. Both index.html files, (inside and outside of the Site folder) must be included.

  • File structure question

    Greetings,
    Sorry for the newbie question....
So if there's an iDVD project which includes a movie called
xyz (there are two files, a quicktime movie xyz.mov and an iMovie project file)
    and movie xyz has 3 clips, in order x - y - z
and I duplicate xyz & rename so I now have two new files newXYZ and newXYZ.mov
Can I go in and edit newxyz, changing only the order of the clips, so that they are y - x - z
And then go and exchange the names of the pairs of files
then go and open the iDVD project
will iDVD just use the edited file? Will it get upset if the new file has the clips in a different order? Will it get upset if the edited file is not identical in length down to the millisecond?
Or is this laborious procedure unnecessary - can I edit the original included movie somehow in iDVD itself?
Thanks. Sure would be nice if you could reply to my email in addition to the group posting.......
    Chris Lanz
    [email protected]

welcome lanzcc to the  board...
    Danke sehr!
so, if your files (doesn't matter, what kind of
files....) gets an update BEFORE encoding, iDVD will
    allways use the up-to-date version of that file;
This is what I expect, if the software is normal and simple-minded (I'm a programmer) - I'm glad to hear you say this
    if
iDVD is IN PROGRESS of encoding,
Oh, no, no, that's not my question, that would be insane....
… or did I completely misunderstood your post?
iDVD should be the last step in the process of
importing, editing and creating a disk... no
    back-and-forth-jumps...
Yes, what has happened is, I have changed my mind about the optimal ordering of clips, and I want to go back and change only that single detail - just exchange the position of two clips - I am hoping that iDVD will not notice that the contant of one of the movies it uses has changed since I created the iDVD "project"
This answer depends on the structure & content of the iDVD "project" file - if the project itself includes information extracted from the movies it uses, rather than acquiring that info anew at run-time, then I'm screwed, I have to go back and re-build the project file.
I'd rather just change the one movie and rename movie files to fool iDVD into using the adjusrted one.

  • Advice needed: Volume discount pricing structure

I need advice on how to have a volume pricing discount structure for Contract.
    Example:
Part number item is purchased at $10 for 100pcs. Subsequent POs issued after 100pcs is going to be $9.
I'm sure SAP tracks the number of orders that go out and then effect the new price correctly.
How to go about creating this condition and how to use it in the PO?
    Thank you.

I think you need to use the scales in contract. In the contrct conditions you can give in the following
    upto 100           $10
    upto 500           $9
    upto 1000          $8
    ................. so on.
Hope this will suffice your requiments.
    Award me if it works.
    Cheers!!!

  • Pricing Structures

    Dear all,
I wish to understand the way prices are determined in the system. I am well versed with functional aspects but am not sure of how the structures KOMV, KOMG, KOMK etc. work. I have two specific queries regarding this:
    1) What are the structures that are used during price determination and how do they work together
    2) What tables store the pricing information after saving sales order (or Shipment cost doc).
May I please request you to provide me inputs on these along with any link that has this information in detail.
    Thanks and Regards

Let me try to give you brief structure of pricing,it contains several components:condition type, access sequence, pricing procedure, records for condition type, procedure determination, condition table.
1 Pricing procedure - Pricing procedure refers to a procedure type of pricing,it defines how condition types are linked.
2 An access sequence (search strategy) is defined for each condition type (with the exception of header and manual only condition types) in the pricing procedure,it contains hierarchy for condition record access.
3 Condition type represents properties of the pricing conditions.
4 Records for condition type contains value/condition which is built for pricing.
5 Procedure determination in a combination which combines sales organization, distribution channel, division and pricing procedure.
6 A condition table is a combination of fields, which form the key for a condition record.
Let's say pricing condition pr00,it containscalculation type to use, etc, and then you need to connect access sequence to it, and access sequence contains condition table which you need to create it,condition table combines fields which you can select as combination such as customer, material number and incoterms, etc.and pr00 used pricing procedure RVAA01,once you create pricing via vk11,first you enter condition type and press key combination, then system will look for all key combination(condition table) by access sequence, let's say you select key combination customer/material,then you will go to screen and need to enter sales orgination/distribution channel/material to complete creating pricing, hope it helps.

  • Directory structure question...

I've been w/ three different companies doing Java development now, and each time I've come in once the project is already in progress and the directory structure is set up. What I see is a similarity:
    com.<company name>.<project>.<sub-units>
    examples:com.delta.kiosk.server
com.delphi.shipping.guiIs this a common way of laying out directories and if so, what is the benefit (other than standardization)?

I always figures that it was primarily a namespace issue.
    org.apache.ecs.Attributes
    org.xml.sax.Attributes
are examples of class names that would have resulted in a collision without the prefixes. A full class name has the package name before it so
    String
    java.lang.String
are the same thing, String is just shorthand for the latter. But if there are two of the same class then the prefix will help the compiler know where the class is supposed to come from. com.<company name>.<project>.<class> is a good way to ensure that you will not encounter a collision.

  • Pricing condition question

    Hi Gurus,
    I need your help
    1) Want to configure a pricing condition which can be used only in a purchase order, but NOT in a contract/outline agreement. Is it possible? If yes, then how?
    2) Want to configure a pricing condition which when added in a purchase order, will Not add the corresponding charges against the cost of material, but instead will get posted to a seperate G/L account. What special I have to do for it's configuration?
I do Not want to add a seperate line in the PO with a NLAG material accounting for those charges. The business wants the charges as a pricing condition (since we have the flexibility to put a different Vendor in a condition type )
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi,
1.Why you want a condition which can be used only in a purchase order, but NOT in a contract/outline agreement? What is the real business requirement!
2.For Not to add the corresponding charges against the cost of material, follow the steps:
Create a condition type (copied from standard FRB1 or FRA1 or FRC1 condition type ) in M/06 t.code & select check box of "accrual" selected in control data-2 & the Cond.category must be B(Delivery Cost) in control data-1 .
    And
In the schema (M/08), keep an accounting key & an accrual key for that condition type
In OBYC only assign G/L account (separate) for accrual key with chart of account, valuation modifier & valuation class.
Now create PO( during saving PO, you can see net value not included amount in that condition type  in PO & assign as needed by you separate vendor to that condition type)
Go for MIGO & do GR and see all accounting entries with a separate entries for separate G/L account
