Printing html pages from JSF-JSC created pages

Hi all,
I have a serious problem with my web apps created with JSC using the JSF components. I designed a page full of tables, developed in vertical for a total of about three or four pages scrolling down.
When I try to print the generated page from the browser (Firefox, Safari, Explorer) I always get just the first 'page', the entire webpage generated by my application is not saw as a long page, but just 'cutted' out.
It seems like all JSF components have some problems being like layers or so...any hint? How can I print my html page generated by my web app?

Perhaps viewing the source of the generated html page will give you a clue to what's wrong..

You can copy & paste the address from the letter into a document formatted to envelope size. I prefer to use the EasyEnvelopes widget. If you have copied an address to the clipboard, it will automatically be added to the widget.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. I could have written the same text. And I have'nt found solutions. Except, perhaps, change this printer (and quit HP?).
Any suggestions would be really much appreciated.

But take care on text threads accross several pages. If you delete a page with a text frame linked to a thread accross several pages, the text will change to the beginning of the thread on every first page.
So it might be good to run a script which will unlink threadened text frames before.

Did you try to delete Pages' preferences file(s) in the folder your-user-name/Library/Preferences ?
There are one or more (depends on your OS X version) file like "com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist"
You can also repair permissions with Disk Utility in the folder Applications/Utilities.
Choose the hard drive were Pages is and click the button "Repair permissions".
Or you can re-install Pages.

IE locks when printing to pdf from a web-based page or pdf

Acrobat 7 standard. IE 6 on XPPro64. It is a 64 bit machine and so printer drivers had to be obtained for 64 bit. When I try to print to "Adobe pdf", the current page out of a 200 page catalog being viewed online, IE locks up and the print job in the queue is unresponsive. It does this no mayyer the site or file being printed from. Other than this, Acrobat seems to work on on the 64 bit machine. Same thing if the page isn't a pdf but an ordinary html page. Printing to pdf hangs no matter what. Is this a known bug for 64 bit? It's at work, and the IT dept loves to mess with things, lock things etc, but I can't think how it could be related to that.

I think that the earliest version that has successfully run under X64 is AA8.1.2. I think that AA7 will not work on X64 as I recall the various reports of attempts by others to do that.

Message bundles accessed from JSF and JSP pages

I'm developing a localized JSF application. It is working pretty well until now.
These are my message files:
mensagens.properties

my web application. This page is displaying ok but I also need to access the
message bundles as I'm able to access in the normal jsp with the JSF components.
As you should know I can't use something like the above code with an +<h:outputText>+
to access the messages because this is a JSF component and I'll not be able to use
JSF components with this raw jsp page.
So, my question is: how do I access my localized messages from a raw jsp page? I
suppose there should be a way to do this, but unfortunately I started programming
to the web world in Java with JSF, not JSP, so I don't know how to do this with
JSP.

Hello, BalusC. Thank you for your help. We're almost there. After I have included the jstl-1.2.jar you provided me I can use the fmt tag and access message bundles from my raw jsp page (even though I had to provide other message bundles instead of the ones that I use in the other jsf pages, but it's better than nothing).
Now there just on problem to be fixed. The jsp page is not aware when I change the locale of my application. I change this locale in a jsf page.
I have this component:

Printing multiple sizes from a PDF - Choose page source by PDF page size is set

I've tried this in both Reader 7 and 8.1. What I am experiencing is this:
A user is printing a document which has both legal and letter sized pages. I have selected Choose page source by PDF page size when printing. The document will print all pages based on the first page. If I print just one page, it will print correctly.

The expected behavior would be to print each page on paper according to its page size. For example, if there is a PDF file with five pages, page one and two are letter size, page three is legal, and page four and five are letter. When I print all pages, the entire set prints as letter. Page three should print on legal. If I print just page three alone, it will print on legal.

Hello, I hope someone can help.
I am creating documents in Quark and Microsoft Publisher.
These documents have a Orange block banner at the top of the page, this represents the colour of the company I work for. It sits at the top of the A4 page and I have created a large bleed around it in Quark/Publisher.
When I export the file as a PDF and open the file up in Adobe, the banner is solid at the top of the page with no white border visible in Adobe.
However when I go to print the document, it prints out with a border. So that the banner is there, BUT there is a white gap between itself and the edge of the paper (this appears to be a border)
Can anyone provide a solution to how to remove this? Is it something to do with the size of the paper, or something Adobe is doing automatically? I am using Adobe Reader 8.

You can also try opening the PDF with preview, then doing a copy and paste to TextEdit and printing from there.
Adobe makes it easier, but you do have software to accomplish this.
Only download Adobe reader from this site, to avoid "fakes/spoofs/malware" that will cause damage to your machine.

How to synch values of fields (cbo & text) in Master Pages section in dynamically created pages?

HI folks,
I have a requirement for a form that has a common master page with a checkbox and text field in it.   The document is basically a table that dynamically adds rows as the user adds entries.   When the first page is full, a second page is dynamically created and the Master page format (including the checkbox & text field) applied to it.
When the user sets the checkbox on one page and/or adds text, all of the checkboxes on all of the dynamically created pages (in the master section) and all of the text boxes need to change to show the same values.
However, I can't figure out how to address the fields on the other pages.   The number of pages changes from user to user, so I can't address them with a static reference.
Does anyone know how to keep these fields in synch?

Hi,
Does anybody has a sample code for Page component which accepts the page when dragging and dropping from the content finder? Basically I am trying to create a web page with page component on it and customized the content finder to display all the pages that I needed on a separate tab, I am trying to drag and drop the pages from the content finder to the page component of the web page that I created, but it is not working for me. If someone has any sample working code please share it.

There's no direct support for this. But you could implement
drag and drop the way you normally would in javascript. Except
here, on mouseUp over a div encapsulating the object or embed tag
(the flash object), you'll need to make a call into actionscript
from javascript indicating that a drag and drop happened.

How can I stop my home page from opening OVER a page from a link I just clicked on?

If I click on a link from an email, Firefox always opens 2 pages with my home page (Google) covering up the page I clicked the link to go to. How can I stop it from doing that?

There's a good chance this is related to a bug that kicks in when you do not have Flash running in any tab and you open a new window to a page that does use Flash: suddenly, the previous window (typically the one from which you launched the link or bookmark) comes back to the front.

the mouse also gets 'stuck' in logic precipitating force quits.
i run osX 10.6.8 on a 2007 macbook pro that has had 2 motherboards replaced autumn 2010.
my troubleshooting has been: restart, pRam and safe boot, also checking a 'test' account to find the same issues extant.
pRam restart caused airport to quit and say there is no airport card, and wouldn't respond untill another reboot.
macbook pro 15" 2.4 GHz intel core duo.2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
i have treated this book with care, yet run logic pro studio to the limit of this book's abilities.
what shoud i do?

You don't say which year you have, however...
...there are known problems with the mid-2010 models (see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US) as well as early and late 15" 2011 models (see https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4766577?tstart=0).
Apple has taken ownership of the problems with the 2010 model but, unfortunately, the free logic board replacement for that model has probably long expired for you - three years after date of purchase.
One the 2011 models Apple has admitted no defect. You'll just have to skim the articles to get an overview of the problems that people are having (usually showing up as screen glitches at first and then going downhill from there).

Opening an ADF page from an OA framework page

We have an OA framework page (a custom app) deployed in Oracle 9i Application server. We intend to develop some ADF pages which will be deployed in a separate Oracle 10g AS. I would like to know if it is possible to open an ADF page from an OA page and the basic interoperability between them. If someone can throw some light on the feasibility of this approach, it would really be helpful. Are there any material available on this?

You way want to ask this on the OA Forum as well.
Because you are running the apps on different servers the interoperability can only be through the db layer. I'm not aware of a solution where the apps are running in the same context, meaning you can't have an transaction spanning both apps.
To open a page of an other app is simply done by putting a link in one app which points to the second app.

When attempting to go to my Cox Web Mail account I receive at the top of the page. "Firefox is preventing this page from redirecting to other page, so I have to click on the top right ALLOW for it to redirect to my Cox Webmail sign in page. Why?

When using my Cox e-mail shortcut to go to the sign in page why does Firefox prevent the current page from redirecting to the Cox web mail sign in page?
What settings do I change so I don't have to go to the top right of the page and click on ALLOW?
