i have a problem which in my old mobile, n70
i stored my msg from E:\system\mail
but with N73 i found it in another place
the problem is when i replace the mail in N73 with the old mail, the mobile restart and cant turn on and after remove memory card it can turn on
any one can solve this problem coz i have a 300 msg and i want to put them in my new mobile

i bought a nokia 5800 US version unlocked mobile handset 10 months back. now i am using indian BSNL 3G SIM in india. my mobile handset is not detecting the bsnl 3G signal. from bsnl people i understand that their technology is 3.5G HSDPA 2100. according to gsmarena the US version supports "HSDPA 850 / 1900". is there a way to make it work with the bsnl 3G network?
voice calls, SMS and web browsing working.
Video calls, TV, etc... not working.
my mobile set has firmware version 51.2.007.263.04 date: 22-07-2010

updating the firmware with indian version firmware, will it help in solving the problem?

hi i had posted a prob earlier about my N73 ME not being able to install any theme aftr i had formatted it...nw i tried formatting the fone (hard format) n the memory card again...bt still the same prob "unable to install" it tells...any help??

Try to do this :
- Try to format the memory card.
- Remove the battery for about 15 Minutes.
If the above mentioned doesnt work.
- Update your phone up to the latest firmware.
- Bring your phone to a Nokia care center.

N73 Bluetooth conection prob

I tried to send my wife a music file I had downloaded from my pc to my N73. It found her phone ok, but each time I tried to send it to her it failed. I sent her a picture from my phone and it recieved it with no probs. Is it the format which my pc suite had converted it too which is the problem? or could it be something else? Any help would be great thanks.

yes, if the file u are trying to send is not compatible with her handset then u will get a failure notice.

N73 Probs, unable to download games, themes and ph...

I am unable to download almost anything other then ringtones and wallpapers to my N73, it says certificate error whenever i try? Phone also says "memory ull please close some applications" even when I dont have anything running, it has a 2GB memory card with 1784MB free, plus 38252kB free on phone memory, phone is very slow opening menu's.I have latest software V 3 from jan 2007

What apps are you trying to download? If you are unable to purchase apps from Ovi store you need to have a look at this thread /t5/Ovi-com-Ovi-Store-Ovi-Share-and/I-am-not-able-to-download-paid-application-from-Ovi-Store/m-p/10...

N73 memcard prob after update...

Hi,
My N73 keeps reporting the 1Gb Memcard as 'removed' after its been accessed by PC or N73... since I updated from v2 firmware to v4...
I initially had the problem with Memcard PIN as I bought the lot 2nd hand but formatting the card fixed that,
Now whenever I add stuff in one go to the fone OR use the media player It BEEPS - and say 'UNSAFE TO REMOVE CARD WITHOUT USING REM. CARD'
I then have to re-insert the card for it to recognize it again?
WHY is this?
and is there a fix?
I DID NOT have the memcard in during upgrade

try formatting the card also try using another card. Possible that the card is damaged or the connecting pin in ur phone is damaged. So try using another card so you can sort the problem

N73 "P" key prob after updating

happy joining in this group.
don't know wr to put requests. i recently updated my nokia n73me. after that when i use Capital P" to type R (click 3 times), prints P and jumps to next position. if want to type small letter no prob. after type P if clicks it works normally. it happens in editing mode of phone book, note pad and allover i type.
solution expecting. also grtful if tell me wr notepad files are saved and is it possible to retrieve thru by a browser or explorer.

Remove the Battery for a couple of minutes, insert and check again. If no change then you may try the Reset you have mentioned once again...in fact try 3-4 times as this is really a bit difficult to get at first go if you are doing it First time..
..else, you will have to visit Nokia Care..

Suggest improvements for nokia n73 and other devic...

Nokia n73 is the most succsesful device ever made by nokia. But you noticed that the images taken by the n73 are little blury and the video is also poor. If theres is nothing harware problem why not nokia fix theme with software update. Why not nokia try to make n73 just like n78. This will be great if nokia update n73 software and fix the problem. N78 also powerfull device but its buttons make it lazy. N78 will be more greater if its button replaced with bigger and esiar. And the improved new device will launched n78i.

I would not bother getting a nokia at the moment.....
If you can live without nokia drive for now then i would hold back for atleast 6 months and see what happens.
Nokia have slipped down the chain a bit and are not as almighty as they use to be.
There are loads of probs with the Lumia 800 and the 710 is not all that good compared to nokia's of old.
I got the 710 because of nokia drive and it is no where near as good as the old Ovi navigation...
In fact the whole phone is a let down....with poor camara, poor sat nav, poor speaker and poor battery...
The Actual phone is a nice design and the screen is not bad...WP7.5 looks interesting but still needs a lot of work to catch up with the others.
Not sure what the Omnia is like...but if i knew then what i know now about the 710 i would of gone for the HTC Radar and just used my N8 for Sat Nav.

Application (sportstracker) won't start on N73 - h...

Over the last couple of days i've been trying to get Sportstracker running on my N73, but with no joy. Each time i open the app, after about half a second it flicks back to the applications menu.
I've re-downloaded the Sportstracker file to make sure it's not an error there. I've tried installing via cable, BT and overair, but no joy there. and i've updated the firmware to the mst recent version... no joy there either.
Does anyone have any helpful advice or suggestions? FYI I am running Vista on my PC - though the support documentation only refers to problems with Software Updater, not PC suite... I also installed Maps last week with no probs.

It is quite obvious why Nokia doesn´t provide earlier versions...they remove bugs from versions and add new features, and people still complain about the program beacuse they are using old buggy versions... If the new versions don´t work on your model, how about reporting it the developers. They surely are interested in fixing it!
I´ve had a look at AFTRACK and I couldn´t see why it is so much better than Sportstracker. Maybe you could be a bit more specific about that. Thanks!

N73 ME Getting Switched off Automatically, every 1...

Hey,
I have an N73 Music Edition since Oct 2007. Its been almost an year now, but i never faced any problem. But recently it is screwing up my time. Since 2 days, it is getting switched off automatically every 15 minutes. It was very fine until 2 days, but suddenly started.
Read a lot of articles which asked me to update my phone software. So i have updated the phone software to firmware version 4.08 from nokia website. The phone worked well for a day and then again the same problem started.
Is the issue due to software? Or is it because something else like hardware prob etc.

Do you have a case on your iPhone? It could be pressing the buttons on the iPhone and causing it to restart or behave unusually.

Unable to open sms/mms n73

i recently restored my n73 with a back up on my pc, but for some strange reason only some sms/mms's open up and some u cant.
any1 have a fix or experience this before?

Email from o2 re:N73 v3 branded firmware

hi, like a lot of other folk including viper i've been having a nightmare with early edition firmware on the N73 on the O2 network in the UK. firmware: V2.0628.0.0.1 10-07-2006 RM-133 Nokia N73(58.01) Product Code:0539976 I've had probs with maintaining bluetooth connection with nokia's own gps LD-3W device which cost me £55 and is sat on the side going nowhere. Why the hell nokia didnt test them together before release i'll never know. But nokia did finally get round to resolving the problem and released firmware updates. So we've got a green light from nokia and a great big **bleep** red one from the O2 network because when you try and download the new firmware from nokia it says no new updates because O2 havent authorised new firmware with the O2 logos plastered all over it and a hundred links to downloading ringtones and logos for a fiver each from there WAP site. I cannot believe this is the only O2 version of software that has been installed on all o2 handsets and that this is the only version nokia support centres are allowed to install. I emailed them a thousand times and heres their reply: "Hello Mark, Thank you for your email about the new Version3 firmware. I am sorry that you have had to contact us again about this issue. I can imagine how frustrating it must be for you; this is not the usual standard of service we provide our customers. I am unable to tell you when the version3 firmware will be released. We will only accredit new software once our engineers are satisfied that it meets requirements of O2. I realise this is not the answer you were looking for, but I hope I've explained everything clearly. We will of course be happy to help you with any other queries you may have in future." So where do we go from here?? well its no shock to me that you get an email response from O2 support staff who havent got a clue what they are talking about and get a lack of support and information from their management structure. I'm thinking of getting a job myself at o2/vodaphone/orange/3/t-mobile for £15,000 a year and sitting there at my computer replying to emails from upset customers saying "get in touch with Nokia cus its all their fault dont you know"!!!!! As Harry Enfield once said "EASY MONEY"! O2 sort out this mess with the N73 branded firmware and if you cant, just allow us to download generic Nokia firmware so we can have fully operational bluetooth. thanks for not listening and taking money out of my bank account for faulty goods, happy new year O2!!! rigsby x x x

N73 its still get a big problem

please help me to find out my prob.. scince i lose my lock code with my n73 i also send my gajet to the tech, he sugest me convert it to the latest firmwere "music edition" as he say, how ever i still cannot open or creat a new lock code with the same problem, i also try defult lock code i think its 12345 then nothing could be change.. in the same time warning msg was shown n i have a shock! ha ha ha..
until now i still have this problem n hope that some body teach me to do the best way that i can refix my gajet..

1) i cant send messages..it fails,and more details show 'Memory full,close sum app's.'...!!!
2) my cam dosent work most of the time..dosent start
3) gallery hav 2 b opend 2 o more times.cz it also says 'Mem full,close sum app's'....
3) & finally de phone sumtimes get re-started..all of a sudden...

My apps dance open and close on their own in my IPad 2 what can be the prob? I have already restored

I got the charger flex or pin changed and now the apps dance on the screen, photos open and zoom in, then out, the other apps open and close. I have already restored the device with Itunes and prob is still there. What can be the problem? Any suggestion will be welcome. Thank you

THANKS for your prompt reply Bluetooth is off in my laptop and IPhone.. and in fact the reset is the only thing that can make it back to normal. But for a lil while. I wonder if it is the touch, or the home botton... both things are very expensive to replace, so I wouldn't like to spend $$ and continue having the prob.....

if you did not do a back up of your phone and memory card there is no way to get back the information. you can't roll back anything the memory or firmware once done is done for good. sorry i know this is not good news
