Probelm checkin in a folder with content categorizer

Hello all
After i started to work with content categorizer i can no longer check in a folder (log will be attached in the next message)
This happen when i add the component that allow the content categorizer to check in automatically, when i remove the component i can check in folders.
The check in is done either by dragging a folder using the webdav, or by using a java service call to check in a folder, the folder is created empty and also generates an error. ( in webdav i receive a popop window that asks me to abort or try to resume which doesnt succeed)
I tried to customize the content categorize admin console, i defined rules for all the types of files i am working with, and i defined $$NONE$$ which regards (according to the documentation) to all the files that dont have a type in the system.
This is a development environment, but i need to install it within 2 days in a production system, so it is extremlly urgent

I managed to reproduce this on 2 different systems, one who is installed on windows and the other on linux.

There is no "out of box" tool per se that does this type of task, but you could probably script it with an Action that uses JavaScript. If you are not familiar with Acrobat JavaScript then you will need to find someone who is familiar with it to assist you in building it.

Create schedule for the Content Categorizer.

I want to do a schedule for the automatically recatecorization (with Content Categorizer Component) of documents.
I need to run this task automatically, for all documents, for some documents, and/or for some folders, every day, for example.

Actually, if you want to run a batch categorization, it'll be more like a command-line call, than a service call. I'd expect that the documentation provides some hints.
If you want to do your own custom categorizer engine, you might analyse services called, or you could also take a look at ContentCategorizer component in Component Wizard (note: to view standard components, you need to clone them to a custom component first).

Content Categorizer with SiteStudio

Hi all,
I need to integrate Content Categorizer with SiteStudio, when i try to check-in some thing from Content server then i get the option to Categorise. But while contributing from SiteStudio on the Assign info form i dont get the Categorise option.
In order User Content Categorizer with Site Studio do i need to do some configuration setting.
Your any pointers will be highly regarded.

I have worked at a site where Content Categoriser was implemented with Site Studio. It proved very difficult as Site Studio was a closed dialogue with the Server and did not want to pass content to Categoriser ahead of content checkin.
With the new editor available in 10gR3, it might be possible to build an integration, but I don't sense any move in that direction by Oracle from reading the documentation.

SharePoint 2007 Content deployment Error: 'A folder with the name already exists.

Hi, In SharePoint 2007 one Content deployment job is failed with below error:
Content deployment job 'Remote import job for job with sourceID = some id' failed.The exception thrown was 'Microsoft.SharePoint.SPException' : 'A folder with the name PublishingImages/AEI-2014/Blue already exists.'
From last 3 days I am getting this error and previously this Job was running without any Error.
In Import Log file getting message: "FatalError: A folder with the name PublishingImages/sg-2015/yellow already exists."
Please tell me how to resolve the issue.

It seems same folder exist in destination server that's why job is failing. You need to check destination server and remove the same name/GUID from site then try again.

Sync a Smart Folder with it's contents to .mac?

I use Mail with a few smart folders to organise things.... not a power user by any means.
Here is a problem i'd love to find a solution for.
I subscribe to feeds in Mail.app on my main mac at work, during the day i'll flag the ones which i'd like to read further. I use a Smart mailbox to show me only flagged RSS. now, what i'd like to happen is for that Smart mailbox to sync with my .mac account somehow, so when i get home i can read the feeds at leisure...
Any Ideas?
I do know i could use a different app for my feeds, or google reader, but i like keeping things in one place as much as possible..

OK. Today, i finally found half a solution. . .
pretty simple. but works for now- unfortunately I have to manually sync...
so-
I created a smart folder with all flagged feeds in Mail.app
I wanted to view my flagged feeds on my other macs
I didn't want to use yet another piece of software, or web based app.
My simple solution is - keep a folder on my me.com server named RSS...
Now, go to your smart folder, drag and drop all the flagged feeds to your me.com folder.
head home, read feeds, unflag, or better delete when done...
now, can anyone tell me how to create a rule or some-such to make the moving of flagged feeds to my me.com account automatic?
Rules don't seem to have "flagged" only as an option.

Is there a way to protect a folder's contents with a password?

I wish to keep the documents in a particular folder private. Am I able to set up a password to prevent access to the folder's contents?

Disk Utility -> File menu -> New blank image -> Choose the maximum size, select Sparse Bundle, and specify the level of encryption you want.
Once the image is created, double click it. This will mount a virtual "drive" on the desktop. Put your files inside the drive. Eject the drive when done, and your files are protected and encrypted inside the disk image.

Interesting proposition.
What exactly are you trying to do? Do you want metadata to be automatically derived / populated on checkin?
Are you interested in something more like tagging and rating and categorization?
Or do you want text analytics and entity extraction?
Fortunately there are answers for all of these. Unfortunately they're all different!
I've seen/done some POC integrations using the categorizer architecture that leverage 3rd party taxonomy engines to populate metadata fields with taxonomy specific values.
I've written POC components for end user tagging and rating as well as tag cloud displays for navigation and content browsing by tag/category (See my book, " [Reshaping Your Business With Web 2.0|http://www.amazon.com/Reshaping-Your-Business-Web-Transformation/dp/0071600787] " for the details).
I've written ratings and categorization and content promotion components to produce "featured content and featured user" predictive outputs (based on things like your search history and the history of folks like you)
The 11g Database has a "semantic indexing for documents" engine built into the Spatial add on that will consume a document in UCM, run it through one or more policies which invoke extraction and analysis engines (like OpenCalais or GATE or even Oracle Text indesing) to produce RDF triples which can then be consumed in ontology - assisted querying.
Even the 10g Oracle database will do search results clustering which, while not content categorization on the check in side, has the effect of categorizing it on the consumption side (see the [Oracle Text Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10316_01/cs/cs_doc_10/documentation/integrator/admin_oracletextsearch_10.pdf] Section 1.3.6, page 1-6: Search Results Data Clustering - allows users to further filter results. Screenshot available on page 4-2. )
All of these have the effect of categorizing content in UCM and providing the user a richer and more relevant experience.

Content Categorizer error

I was trying to use the content categorizer, I installed it plus the addCCtocheckin component.
After that I did the configuration that was described on the documentation, selected searchML engine and added a rule for docTitle to get TAG_TEXT ssc_title
When I tried to click categorize on the default checkin page, I got the following error:

Hi,
you should be able to run Content Categorizer with the "AddCCToNewCheckin" component. This is only usefull if you want to enable non-interactive categorization like from the Windows Explorer Integration with Drag'n Drop.

Automator and applescript to copy new files in a folder with same name as parent folder

I have an iMac with a pictures folder (Finder folder) containing several subfolders with pictures. As per now, all these subfolders are imported into an iPhoto library (and the structure of the Finder pictures folder is thus maintained: The iPhoto events are named the same as the Finder subfolder). I.e. I have not created any albums in iPhoto.
I have also set up a workflow, where new iPhone photos are automatically being synced to specified Finder folders within the iMac pictures folder. So what I want to do is to make a workflow to import potential new photos from week to week into the existing iPhoto structure. I know iPhoto has this Autoimport folder, so this one is unpacked and "mapped". So, this is what I´m hoping to do:
Automator (iCal - want to do this on a weekly basis):
- Get specified Finder items -- set to target folder = iMac pictures folder
- Get folder content (with subfolders)
- Filter Finder items
     - Items from the last 7 days (which then would be any new files created last week)
- Applescript/shell script loop(?)
     - Get folder name for each file´s (from previous step) parent folder
     - Create new folder with same name as the file´s parent folder (if not already existing) under the iPhoto Autoimport folder
     - Copy the given file into the folder from above
- Run iPhoto application (Automator task), which then should just auto import the new photos according to the Finder folder structure
Whith the workflow above, I aim to maintain the existing iPhoto structure, and just import new photos into the existing structure. Creating folder names under the Autoimport, similar as the existing Finder folder names / iPhoto events should make it possible to have the new files imported under the existing event, right?

I have now switched to Aperture (from iPhoto) due to Aperture´s capability to handle Finder folder structure, and due to the possibility of having the pictures within Aperture as referenced files to the pictures within the Finder folders (i.e. possibility to delete pictures from both library and Finder folder at the same time).
So I have a superior Finder folder called "Album". Within "Album" I have several subfolders (sub albums) containing pictures. The "Album" folder with subfolders are imported into Aperture as "Projects and albums", and the pictures are uploaded within the Aperture structure as referenced files. So for now the Aperture structure is more or less a direct mirror of the Finder folder structure, whereas "Album" is the project.
And this is my current workflow in Automator, but I´m searching help with my Applescript:
- Get specified Finder items (target folder = the superior Finder folder "Album")
- Get Folder content
- Filter Finder items (to look for potential new files to import into Aperture)
     - Kind is not folder
     - Date created last X days
The output files from this task enters an Applescript

Is there any way to create a time machine backup to an external hard drive with content already on it? I have a hard drive that i have used for pictures but when i try to run a backup it says i need to start from a blank drive. Can i get around it?

It would be much better if you had separate drives for the pictures and Time Machine backups.....but, if you want to use the same drive for both purposes, temporarily move the folder with the pictures to another location for safe storage.
Run the Time Machine backup on the hard drive and verify that everything is working correctly. Time Machine will format the disk for you in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as part of the backup process.
Then move the folder with the pictures back to the hard drive with the Time Machine backups.
When you have tested to make sure that everything is working again, then and only then should you delete the folder with pictures from the temporary storage area.
Again....it would be much better to keep Time Machine backups on a drive just for that purpose, and other data on another drive for that purpose. This is clearly one of those times when the fact that you can do something does not mean to imply that you should do it.

Will Adobe Reader 7.0.9 or 7.1.0 work with Content Server 4?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A75-S213 laptop, Intel Pentium 4, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP Home.
I've purchased ebooks from SimonSays.com several times over the course of 2008; each time, my Adobe Reader 7.0.9 was able to open the "ebx.etd" file and able to access the ebooks without any problems.
However, the last purchase I made around a week ago keeps leading to me downloading ".acsm" files, which Adobe Reader 7.0.9 (or Adobe Reader 7.1.0) doesn't recognize and can't open.
I contacted SimonSays.com and they suggested that I download Adobe Digital Editions. I don't know if that will solve the problem or not.
I've done some of my own research and found that between my last purchase in early September and the one I made in early October, Adobe changed their Content Server from Version 3 to Version 4? Does that explain why I can't even download the "ebx.etd" files from ebooks I've already downloaded in the past, but instead, get ".acsm" files instead for those ebooks that I've downloaded before?
I take it then that Adobe Reader 7 (any version) can no longer read ebooks you purchase from retailers such as SimonSays.com and that you have to use Adobe Digital Editions instead? I even upgraded from Adobe Reader 7.0.9 to Adobe Reader 7.1.0, thinking that would do the trick, but it's still downloading ".acsm" files.
I did authorize Adobe Reader back in January (which is why I could download and read the ebooks from my previous purchases); I know I ran antivirus and anti-spyware software and wasn't sure whether I deleted something that might have caused this problem, but I know that I've run those same programs and never had this problem before now. Do I have to reauthorize Adobe Reader somehow, and if so, how? I log into Adobe and get that "Eden.ui" zipped file, but putting that into the folder with the ".acsm" file doesn't allow Adobe Reader to open it and read it.
Therefore, is there any way to keep using Adobe Reader 7.1.0 to read my future ebook purchases or is the only way to read ebooks from now on is via Adobe Digital Editions? And if I download Adobe Digital Editions, is it better to keep Adobe Reader 7.1.0 on my system or should I upgrade to Adobe Reader 8 or 9?
I'd greatly appreciate any and all advice on this, as I can't open ebooks I've purchased, and I'm pretty sure there are no refunds for ebook purchases (though I'd prefer to be able to purchase and read ebooks in the future) - thank you.

You will need to install Adobe Digital Editions which will solve this issue. .acsm files only open with Digital Editions. Also, if you import all of your previously purchased books with Digital Editions, they will be migrated automatically. Digital Editions can be downloaded for free from:

Even as a Mac Newbie/Novice, I successfully installed a new hard drive and the OS (10.6.8) software from my installation discs. I am using the Premiere Pro CS5 NLE (with the 5.0.4 updates), and I have tried to reinstall the software (which is actually the Production Premium package) several times, but I still cannot use the spacebar (or any method) to play any of my imported videos.

Recovery Mode presents you with, among other things, Disk Utility. When you open that, if the internal shows up at all, first try to "Repair DIsk." If that doesn't work but if the "Media" line is present, try to format and partition it with a GUID partition table (understand that you will be erasing the contents of your internal). Then try to reinstall the OS. If that doesn't work, and since your Retina MBP didn't come with a DVD drive or DVDs, you'll need to try a hardware test using these instructions from Apple (short version: shut down, press the power button and hold down the "D" key). If none of those things work, let's hope you either have AppleCare or your warranty has some life left because the SSD in your rMBP is proprietary and expensive. Endpoint Protection error: The source folder for content does not exist.

I have a single SCCM 2012 SP1 CU4 server running on Windows Server 2012.
I have been using this for a little more than a month for Endpoint Protection and Windows Updates.
I just recently started seeing that my Endpoint Deployment Package has Failed. I click on "Content Status" and select the Endpoint package (which again shows Failed). I click on "View Status" and I get this
message in the "Error" tab:
The source folder for content does not exist.
The Asset Details point to the exact location that does not exist:
The source directory "\\<server>\updates\endpoint\6bd81fde-3a3f-4aa9-bf70-ba007891ca68" for package "<package>" does not exist.
I didn't change anything related to this, and that directory path (\\server\updates\endpoint) is
shared and is populated with a lot of other folders.
Is this possibly just a bad update file? Should I manually create that sub-folder that it says is missing?
