Problem accesing Executable on remote CPU through webb panel interface on client computer

Hi,
I am using LabVIEW 2009 to acces a program "Test.exe" in a server computer. I take it from the forums as it should be possible to bulid a Test.exe with Publishing Tool functionality so its panel can be accesed only with a browser from a client computer. This is how it is setup.
Server CPU (pesno111.company.se):
Labview Run time Engine 2009 SP1
Activated NI License manager
Everything installed from an Installer that also had NI Labview 2009 SP1 Deployable License
Then Test.exe is started and its Test.ini looks like this:
[Test]
server.app.propertiesEnabled=True
server.ole.enabled=True
server.tcp.serviceName="My Computer/VI Server"
server.vi.propertiesEnabled=True
postScriptLevel2=False
WebServer.Enabled=True
WebServer.RootPath=C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009
WebServer.TcpAccess="c+*"
WebServer.ViAccess="+*;-Power Spectrum Measurement.vi;-Power Spectrum Measurement.vi"
DebugServerEnabled=False
DebugServerWaitOnLaunch=False
The Test.html file (see attachment) is also placed on the server computers path C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2009 .
I try to acces the Test.exe from a browser in the client computer with the following path http//pesno111.company.se/Test.html
but it doesnt work. Any ideas?

Hi Björkis
I would start by checking that I've followed the instructions in these two tutorials:
Remote Panels in LabVIEW -- Distributed Application Development
Developing Remote Front Panel LabVIEW Applications
Also, could be a good idea to look into if you are behind a firewall or proxy as this could cause a problem.

    Why can you "not able to set the current directory path as "D:\TestApp\" programatically"? Are you forgetting to escape the backslashes?
    Why to you need to set the current directory anyway?
    What is the problem with executing multiple commands?
    As to your basic goal, have you looked at
    system()
    ShellExecute()
    ShelExecuteEx()
    CreateProcess()
    ? Perhaps you should show us what you have tried.

    Since the pipe '|' is interpreted by the shell then you need the shell to invoke your command
            String[] command = {"sh","-c","find /tmp/reports1 -name " + "\"" + "*" + "\"" + " -mtime +" + strdaysback + " -print|xargs rm -r"};
            final Process process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(command);
      You should also read http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-12-2000/jw-1229-traps.html at least twice and implement the recommendation regarding stdout and stderr.
    P.S. Why are you not using Java to find and delete these files?

    Thanks in advance
    Srini

    Hi,
    Not sure of what you want.
    Have a look at v$session view. Machine column is maybe what you're looking for.
    If you want to retrieve the local host executing remote desktop, it's actually not possible natievely, since it's still remote host that is connecting to the database.
    Hope it helps.

  • Help needed in executing a remote batch file

    I need to execute a batch file which is located on a remote machine through my machine. I have no idea to go about with. Please can someone help me out with can be used to execute the remote bat file. I am at present using Runtime.exec() to execute it on my machine.. But i cant use it to execute teh bat file on teh remote machine.Please help

    Below is an example server that would run on the remote host. You can connect to it using telnet from DOS prompt, it takes a Y/N to run your command in the cmd variable. I haven't included code for a client as it's really not needed for the example below.
    Change the cmd and port variables to what you need. You may need to setup firewall rules to allow your chosen port.
    Once it's running, you can test it by using "telnet localhost 1234" on your machine, localhost would obviously become the remote computer's hostname or IP.
    I am incredibly new to Java (using the forums to learn bits), so excuse any bad coding practises, I'm sure people will point them out.
    Keep in mind that this is totally insecure, so if you're using it on an untrusted network, you may want to look into encryption and providing some kind of password authentication, that, for the moment is out of my league.
    Screenshot here.
    import java.io.*;
    import java.net.*;

  • Problem While Executing T.CODE DP90

    Hi,
      We have Upgrade our system from 4.6C to ECC6.
      We are facing following problem while executing Resource Related Billing request
      Through Transaction code DP90.
    Process.
    1.     We are creating Sales Order and system will create Service order automatically as per the configuration.
    2.     In service order we have External as well internal operations ,
    Internal operations will be confirmed through IW41, and External Operations we are creating Purchase Requisition then creating PO and MIRO,
    After all Operations confirmed we will make Service order status as technically completed, then we are executing DP90 for Resource Related Billing, System will determine the material, combination of Cost element and Activity Type (Which is configured in T.Code ODP1) For External Operations System is Considering Activity Type for material determination in 4.6c but it is not considering Activity Type for Material Determination in ECC6 for External Operations.
       Please Help me,
    Edited by: D B on Apr 29, 2008 6:13 PM

    Hi Prashanth,
          Thanks for your reply, but all activity are valid in current period, in our Scenario in the old system for External Operations with combination of Activity type and Cost element system is determining material but where as in the new system for external operations it is not considering the Activity type and system is determining the material in the combination of   Cost element and Blank activity type so, we are getting different material in DP90.

    GRD system it is going for the short dump, and giving the follwing error,
    <b>Error analysis
        An error occurred when executing a REMOTE FUNCTION CALL.
        It was logged under the name "RFC_NO_AUTHORITY"
        on the called page.</b>
    But i do have the access for the DXD system also, i am really struggling to solve this problem, if any lights are there to help me , i will be thank full for then,
    some body suggested for me that we need to maintain the Trusted system tables in the target system.
    Thanks & regards
    Satya.

    first u( user id ) have to get the Authorizations to use RFC ?
    object will be  like S_RFC or some thing like this.
    when u get this kind of error just call /NSU53 then u will come to know which Authorization Object is missing from ur User Profile.

  • Copying Files From a Remote Machine through "rcp" command not working.

    Hi All,
    I'm a new comer to this famous forum. I was trying to go through the PDF "Solaris Advanced User's Guide" .So in chapter 9-"Using the network" i came across "Copying Files From a Remote Machine". And the syntax was "rcp machinename:source destination" . And i got another note. It is like
    "The rcp command enables you to copy files from one machine to another. This command uses the remote machine's /etc/hosts.equiv and /etc/passwd files to determine whether you have unchallenged access privileges. The syntax for rcp is similar to the command syntax for cp.".
    But i maintained remote machine's IP address in my system's /etc/hosts file. But still i am unable to do the rcp from remote system to my system or vice versa.
    Always i am getting error message " **Connection refused**".
    Therefore please some one guide me how to perform the " Copying Files From a Remote Machine" through rcp command.
    Reghards
    Kartik

    Hi
    The inconvenience of using scp is that you have to type the password every time you stablish a connection. You can work around this, adding a key into the remote hosts_allow file. This implies in more maintenance.
    From the rcp man page:
    +rcp does not prompt for passwords. It either  uses  Kerberos authentication which is enabled through command-line options or your current local user name must exist on  hostname  and allow remote command execution by rsh(1).+
    From the rsh man page:
    + If you omit command, instead of executing a single command, rsh logs you in on the remote host using rlogin(1).+
    By default, rlogin is disabled on Solaris 10
    [SunOS 5.10/bash] root@wgtsinf01:/store/sun/operating-systems
    # svcs -a|grep -i rlog
    disabled       May_11   svc:/network/login:rloginSo, to use rcp you have to enable the rlogin service and set up all the configuration files. Particularly, as already suggested, I too suggest you to use scp. :)
    Cheers

    What do you mean by you would like the ASA to access the proxy server at the remote end?
    What configuration/command have you configured on the ASA for the ASA itself to access the remote proxy server?
    Do you want the PC behind the ASA to access the remote proxy server, or you want the ASA itself to access the remote proxy server?
    How do you want to access the proxy server?
