Problem building swc that contains s:SolidColor with manifest file

Hi all,
I have a problem compiling a library with the command line compiler. The problem is that when I don't use a Manifest file, everything compiles as expected. When I specify a Manifest file for building my swc, I get an error "Could not resolve <s:SolidColor> to a component implementation".
My library consists of one class, which is: Test.mxml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<s:Group xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark">
  <s:Rect x="50" y="50" width="100" height="100">
    <s:fill>
      <s:SolidColor />
    </s:fill>
  </s:Rect>
</s:Group>
This is my Manifest.xml
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<componentPackage>
          <component id="Test" class="Test"/>
</componentPackage>
This commands gives no error and results in a swc successfully
compc -output TestLibrary.swf -include-classes Test -source-path .
This commands leads to the error "Could not resolve <s:SolidColor> to a component implementation"
compc -output TestLibrary.swf -include-classes Test -source-path . -compiler.namespaces.namespace http://test Manifest.xml -include-namespaces http://test
I think this is the correct way of creating an swc using a Manifest file. Is this correct (so this is a bug?) or am I doing something wrong?

There's nothing about that VI I can imagine causing an error on build. You might try doing a force compile of your app to track it down. Try opening up your top level VI, hold CTRL+Shift and hit the run arrow at the same time. If it gives you a broken arrow, you can bring up the error list to try to find it. Maybe this will help locate the problem. If you haven't already, might not hurt to do a mass compile of the SPC VI's also.

  • Embedding a Button that contains a MovieClip with a filter on it causes a build error in Flex

    I'm trying to embed (via [Embed(...)] code) a button that
    contains a movieclip with a blur filter on it. This causes Flex to
    stop compiling my project (actually it says that it cannot find
    another symbol that I'm also embedding). I've narrowed it down to
    this problem though.
    As soon as I remove the filter on the movieClip, Flex likes
    it again.
    Does anybody have experience with this or found a workaround?

    This is really a SQL issue, not SharePoint. After 5000 rows, SQL does a lock escalation from a row lock to a table lock. The table lock prevents operations on the entire table, hence why you want to stay under 5000 rows, especially for a busy content database.
    One way to mitigate this scenario is to dedicate the content database to the Site Collection. This way only the Site Collection is impacted by the lock escalation.
    You can also set specific Lists/Libraries to disable the throttle entirely by using PowerShell to set the EnableThrottling property to $false. Alternatively, you can use a sandbox or full trust solution to display the data where it also ignores the throttle.
    To answer your question, yes it will fail after 20,000 items.

    Why do we have to install 2 add ins for something that should be built in? Please add this to the next version or an update to this one even. We should see the full path of a bookmark when we search for it. Show Parent Folder alone isn't enough if you have sub folders, so I installed Go Parent Folder as well in case of sub folders.

  • Problem retrieving data that contains special characters in Collections

    Hi fellow Apexers,
    If I load strings that contain characters such as ":" or "," into a collection and then read the data back off the collection into page items via URL e.g.
    f?p=&APP_ID.:4:&SESSION.::&DEBUG.::P4_INJURED_FIRST_NAME,P4_INJURED_OTHER_NAME,P4_INJURED_SURNAME,P4_INJURED_SHOP_NO,P4_INJURED_BUILDING,: #SEQ_ID#,#C001#,#C002#,#C003#,#C004#,#C005#
    the data after the ":" or "," gets screwed up and ends up in the wrong fields. How do I escape these characters?
    I have tried using a replace statement when inserting into the collection e.g.
    BEGIN
    IF htmldb_collection.collection_exists('INJURED_PERSON') = FALSE THEN
    htmldb_collection.create_collection( p_collection_name => 'INJURED_PERSON');
    htmldb_collection.add_member(p_collection_name => 'INJURED_PERSON',
    p_C001 => :P4_INJURED_FIRST_NAME,
    p_C002 => :P4_INJURED_OTHER_NAME,
    p_C003 => :P4_INJURED_SURNAME,
    p_C004 => :P4_INJURED_SHOP_NO,
    p_C005 => replace(:P4_INJURED_BUILDING,':','')
    etc.........
    but I just don't want to have nested replace statements. Also I'll loose "," and ":" when I retrieve the back off the collection
    Does anyone know of a better workaround?
    Regards
    Paul P

    Hi Paul,
    Apex uses colons in the url to separate the parameters. You could replace these with another character (for example, ~) and then have a Before Header page process on the second page that converts that back again.
    However, as a collection is available until you clear it or log out, you could just pass the SEQ_ID and get the second page to retrieve the values directly into the page items

  • Site lookup columns that contain a list with lookup columns help needed

    Here is the theoretical scenario,
    I have a list called Shirts. The list contains name,color, and size columns.
    I have a list called Pants This list contains name, color and size columns as well.
    These two lists are contained at the root level of the site. I created site lookup columns for these two lists and used the name, color and size columns as additional fields on both lookup columns. Lets call these lkupPants and lkupShirts.
    On a sub site I have a list called people. It contains name,date,lkupPants and lkupShirts columns.
    The list looks something like this is dataview:
    Name Date lkupPantsName lkupPantsColor lkupPantsSize lkupShirtName lkupShirtColor lkupShirtSize
    This is the behavior I expected. The additional columns selected in the site lookup columns appear in the list.
    I now create another site lookup column this one is based on the list called people at this subsite level. When creating the site lookup column, the data from lkupPants and lkupShirts are not available.
    How can one create a lookup column that contains list data and any lookup columns contained in the list as additional fields.
    If anyone can see where I am going with this, can they provide another means to accomplish what I am trying to do?
    fr0stsp1re

    create additional columns in people list.  look up values are available in the workflow so populate the additional columns with the values you need.  this will allow you to create another look up column based on this list and all the fields needed.
     just a thought.

  • Problem with manifest file and Plateau LMS

    I have published a course with a quiz in SCORM 1.2 and tried
    to upload to a Plateau LMS.
    It seems that a "page cannot be found" message is the result
    after upload and we try to launch the course. The course works
    outside the LMS (when run locally on my computer).
    The Plateau LMS support team tried to help, and found the
    following: "There is something wrong with this manifest, though I
    cannot ascertain what that is exactly. Most of the file name is in
    the parameter field, which is causing the launch path to look like
    this:
    /content/apmm/cbcgis/mars/BRTMAIN/MARS?BRT%20Maintenance%20Template_%2020080226.htm=
    Everything in the parameters field is placed after the
    filename in a URLencoded querystring after the question mark that
    you see above. it should look like this:
    /content/apmm/cbcgis/mars/BRTMAIN/MARS BRT Maintenance
    Template_ 20080226.htm"
    Can anyone please help resolve this, or have any advice?
    This is the first time we have tried uploading Captivate
    courses to this LMS, and we have been having problems with the
    manifest file in general. I have looked at all the material I can
    find on publishing and the manifest file, but cannot seem to
    resolve my issue.
    Thanks
    Warwick

    Warwick,
    I have had this error with an Authorware set of SCORM files
    when my LMS was looking for index.htm and I had named it index.html
    - you wouldn't think that would cause an error but it did. I would
    be more than happy to package a Captivate file of just a few
    screens that works on my LMS (which is Learn.com's Learning
    Center), and send you the SCORM files to test... That could be a
    start anyhow. I will send you a private msg. with my e-mail
    id.

  • Asdoc how to add a custom local namespace with manifest file?

    Hi there,
    I use the flex 4 beta1 sdk to test the following:
    I have:
    MainScreen.mxml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <s:Group xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009"
        xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark"
        xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/halo"
        xmlns:views="com.xyz.core.view.components.*"
        >
        <views:AbcView id="abcView" right="20" />
    </s:Group>
    I tried to use a manifest file which seems to be how to handle this kind of situation (using ant):
        <arg line="-namespace views ${manifest.file}"/>
        <arg line="-doc-namespaces views"/>
    the manifest.xml contain the following:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <componentPackage>
               <component id="AbcView" class="com.xyz.core.view.components.AbcView" />
    </componentPackage>
    when I compile asdoc return the following error:
    ...MainScreen.mxml(52):  Error: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: AbcView
    Any idea how I can force asdoc to add/recognize AbcView.mxml ? Is my use of manifest file correct in this situation?

  • Need help with Manifest file for jar

    I am creating an executable jar for a document management application. In the manifest file there is a Class-Path setting. I will be running this app in multiple environments and I want this Class-Path setting to read from the machines classpath. How do I do it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Before you Jared your classes, did the classes work?
    One possible solution would be to include the classes you're using within the Jar itself. But before you do that, I would re-read the Licence agreement for those classes.

  • Deploying 2005 package to server with manifest file, but deployment wont see my config file?

    I have a package working and Ive installed it on one server, but cant seem to recall how I got it to see the config file Im using.  I tried using a manifest file but it simply wont pick up the config file when running through the wizard.  All Im
    doing is copying over the manifest file to the server, remoting into the server, then running the package deployment wizard from there.  Why would the config file not be seen?

    Hi Shiftbit,
    The issue occurs because you didn’t copy the XML Configurations file with the Manifest file and the packages to the new server. To install the manifest file in a new server, we must copy all of the following files:
    Manifest file
    .dtsx files of the packages
    XML Configurations files
    If we only copy the manifest file, the deployment will succeed without the package configurations stage but no packages will be installed in reality. If we only copy the Manifest file and the .dtsx files of the packages, the deployment succeeds without the
    package configurations stage, and the packages will be installed successfully actually. Only when we copy all of the three type files, the deployment can recognize the package configurations successfully and install the packages properly.
