  • How call FM otf to pdf in a report

    Hi,
I am working on a code of a sapscript and i am facing the problem when i execute it does not shows the line in it and i want to use the FM converting OTF TO PDF. i know there is a system program RSTXPDFT4 which performs the same functionality but i have to assign a seperate tcode for it and tell the user how to generate the spool request for it and then download it. Thats why i want to use the FM for it so that the user can able to have the proper print out of it.

  • Convert OTF to PDF problem

    Hi everyone,
I am currently testing a report in our acceptance box. The report is converting a sapscript form output to OTF. Then the OTF result will be converted to PDF that will be sent to external email address as attachment. However, when I checked the PDF result in acceptance box, it is not of ASCII type. In development box, the PDF result is ASCII. Does this mean that the OTF, PDF settings in the 2 SAP boxes are not the same.
As you can see, this is the converted PDF in dev box. This is working okay.
    --> %PDF-1.3##%aaDO##2 0 obj##<<##/Length 3 0 R##/Filter /ASCIIHexDecode##/Length1 5866##/Length2 29788##/Length3 544##>>##stream##25215
But in acceptance box, the codes are different. This one is not working.
    --> %PDF-1.3##%aaDO##2 0 obj##<<##/Type /FontDescriptor##/Ascent 720##/CapHeight 660##/Descent -270##/Flags 32##/FontBBox [-177 -269 112
Does this have to do with the OTF, PDF settings defined in the systems? Where should we check the settings of these 2 formats?
    Thanks!

  • OTF to PDF - Getting blank PDF Internal table with CONVERT_OTF func module

    All
i've captured OTF from smartforms and tried converting to PDF through 'CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF' FUNCTIOn module and after emailing to external email id, i found logo is completely disturbed (characters in logo got mixed up)..... later i tried converting with ''CONVERT_OTF' function module, but here i'm getting blank PDF internal table....
what am i missing in both ?
my intention is converting otf to pdf and emailing...though there are thousands of similar threads are available , none of them are related to my exact problem, which is logo is getting mixed up or disturbed.... any suggestions ?

  • OTF to PDF. Scripts.

    Hi ,
I am using the below module for a script to convert OTF to PDF
And then downloading it to desktop using GUI_DOWNLOAD.
FIle is getting downloaded and PDF is opening with two pages. But it's blank. Therez no data. I get a message as "There was an error opening this document. There was a problem reading this document".
But when I right click the PDF file and open it in notepad I can see all the script data with html '/' etc
i_content_txt has OTF data. As I have used TDGETOTF = 'X'.
I can actually see the data in i_content_bin. But it has all numbers which i don't understand like what they mean.

  • Problem with "Save as Adobe PDF format" in Excel and Word

    Hi
When I use printing zone in Excel and make a «Save as Adobe PDF format» (menu File / Save as Adobe PDF), the first save is well done. But when I make it a second time, what's not in the printing zone is printing in the document.
I have also problem with the «Save as Adobe PDF format» in Word. The images superposition are not well print.
I'm using Windows 7 in french, Office 2010 french and Adobe Acrobat XI standard. All is in the latest version.
    Thanks

The Save As PDF feature in Office2008 Call up a PDF  Creator similar to the AdobePDF Print Driver. whch OX.6 can't use.
To create Pdf you have to use method used:
    http://indesignsecrets.com/acrobats-adobe-pdf-printer-replaced-in-snow-leopard.php
Not before you attempt to use this method if  Rossetta is not installed. pop in your Systems DVD and install Rosetta. Then follow directions to install the Adobe Quality PDF Automator Script which will show up in the Print Menu. Click on Print > then click PDF. Then Click on Adobe quality PDF.  AS for setting up Job options and other details Supposedly your suppose to  have access. But I have no idea.
First thing Rosetta should be installed out of the box. and Second Adobe should install this Script from their installer. So their should be no intervention from the user. it should just work. Early report when OSX.6 first came out almost no one was able to get this to work. and I see periodic reports that people still can't get it tork and they have to to resort to saving as .ps files then droping on distiller.
    Good luck.

  • Why does it take so long for Acrobat to call up a PDF?

I run Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0 on Windows XP Home.
When I want to view a PDF -- either by double-clicking it in Windows Explorer or by opening Acrobat and calling it up through "File/Open..." -- it takes 15 to 30 seconds for Acrobat to bring up the document.
It wasn't always this slow. Calling up a PDF was once quite snappy.
I uninstalled, then reinstalled Acrobat 9 to see whether that would help. It didn't.
I checked services, but Acrobat and the programs on which it depends start automatically.
No other program seems to be affected in this way.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the tip.
Seems to me a lot of sophisticated programs are adding "features" like this that wind up making the program more difficult to use.
I'm solving the problem by switching to a smaller, less complicated program.
    Again, thanks.

    CLEAR ITCPO-TDGETOTF.
    ENDIF.
    ***OPEN_FORM
    *etc
    ***CLOSE_FORM
    IF NOT SY-UCOMM = 'VIEW'.

  • Problem with calling on some numbers

Hi my mum has problem with calling on my number. She is in the USA and has a lof of money on her Skype account. When she was in Poland (country when I am now) she could without any troubles calling on my number. What is wird now in the USA she can call on some other polish numbers (I think that Skype doesn't support connection with my mobile operator).
I fell deceived because I created Skype account and transfered some money on it for my mum to give her possibility to call to me. Is possible to fix it? Is somewhere table with can help me check which one numbers (mobile operators) Skype supports in the USA?
My mom used Skype from Android smartphone.

  • Facing problem with logo in the PDF attachment when sending mail...

    hi friends,
i'm facing problem with logo in the PDF attachment to the mail.
    my requirement:
    1. enter spool number and mail id in the selection screen.
    process:
    1. now the program will fetch the spool data and converts it to PDF.
    2. but when i'm trying to send mail with this PDF as attachment.
when i open the PDF file from the mail, logo is not coming properly (looks disturbed).
can anyone help me how to resolve this issue...
    thanks in advance, murashali.

hi dinakar, thanks for your mail...
    logo looks good in spool/script/smartform.
even it look good when i download this spool to pdf and to the presentation server as pdf file.
    i'm using CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF.
when i used CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF, is gives a msg - 'spool number not found'.
here i'm using folloing code to pass pdf to the function module: SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
    code:
Transfer the 132-long strings to 255-long strings
      lt_mtab_pdf[] = pdf[].
      LOOP AT lt_mtab_pdf INTO lwa_mtab_pdf.
        TRANSLATE lwa_mtab_pdf USING ' ~'.
        CONCATENATE lv_gd_buffer lwa_mtab_pdf INTO lv_gd_buffer.
        CLEAR lwa_mtab_pdf.
      ENDLOOP.
      TRANSLATE lv_gd_buffer USING '~ '.
      DO.
        lwa_mess_att = lv_gd_buffer.
        APPEND lwa_mess_att TO lt_mess_att.
        CLEAR lwa_mess_att.
SHIFT lv_gd_buffer LEFT BY 255 PLACES.
        IF lv_gd_buffer IS INITIAL.
          EXIT.
        ENDIF.
      ENDDO.
NOTE: problem i believe is with ''.  i'm getting this tilt symbol () in my pdf internal table.  here in the above code the line   TRANSLATE lv_gd_buffer USING '~ ' is changing the existing tilt to space.  so my logo is getting disturbed.
even i tried with REPLACE this tilt with other char, but it doent work.
    can you give any idea...

  • Character conversion problems when calling FM via RFC from Unicode ECC 6.0?

    Hi all,
I faced a Cyrillic character convertion problem while calling an RFC function from R/3 ECC 6.0 (initialized as Unicode system - c.p. 4103). My target system is R/3 4.6C with default c.p. 1500.
The parameter I used in my FM interface in target system is of type CHAR10 (single-byte, obviously).
I have defined rfc-connection (SM59) as an ABAP connection and further client/logon language/user/password are supplied.
The problem I faced is, that Cyrillic symbols are transferred as '#' in the target system ('#' is set as default symbol in RFC-destination definition in case character convertion error is met).
Checking convertions between c.p. 4103  and target c.p. 1500 in my source system using tools of transaction i18n shows no errors - means conversion passed O.K. It seems default character conversion executed by source system whithin the scope of RFC-destination definition is doing something wrong.
Further, I played with MDMP & Unicode settings whithin the RFC-destination definition with no successful result - perhaps due to lack of documentation for how to set and manage these parameters.
The question is: have someone any experience with any conversion between Unicode and non-Unicide systems via RFC-call (non-English target obligatory !!!), or can anyone share valuable information regarding this issue - what should be managed in the RFC-destination in order to get character conversion working? Is it acceptable to use any character parameter in the target function module interface at all?
    Many thanks in advance.

    hey,
I had a similar experience. I was interfacing between 4.6 (RFC), PI and ECC 6.0 (ABAP Proxy). When data was passed from ECC to 4.6, RFC received them incorrectly. So i had to send trimmed strings from ECC and receive them as strings in RFC (esp for CURR and QUAN fields). Also the receiver communication channel in PI (between PI and  RFC) had to be set as Non unicode. This helped a bit. But still I am getting 2 issues, truncation of values and some additional digits !! But the above changes resolved unwanted characters problem like "<" and "#". You can find a related post in my id. Hope this info helps..
