  • Problem while opening Bex query on the web

    Hello BW experts,
I have a problem while opening Bex query from my SAP Favorites.See below.
When i double click on the query, i get the following page, with the server name KBWS01QX.
But, from RSRT Tcode, select the query > query display as HTML > Click on ABAP Web , click execute as shown below, it is going to the correct URL as in the 2nd screen shot below.
My question is why is it going to the wrong URL when i open it from  SAP Favorites menu?
I want it to open the same URL as it opened from RSRT(which is the right one)
What is the Config needed to make it to work from SAP favorites.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks alot.
    SV

    Hello,
Thank you all for your responses.
    See below some additional info.
From RSRT, this time I clicked on JAVA WEB, and i get the below URL, which is the same URL i was getting when i executed the query from SAP favorites.
    http://kbws01qx.xxxxxxx.com:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=ZCONSUMPTION
Also, i have executed the Function module : RSBB_URL_PREFIX_GET and i get the below values.
It seems that it is trying to connect to Java portal something services may be, but i want it to open in ABAP web only.
    Please help.

  • Easy query is not showing on Easy query Management(Browser)

    Dear all,
I want to consume a bex query into SAP UI5. For that I found this document:-
         http://cms.int13h.nl/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/How-to-Create-OData-Services-for-Analytic-Queries.pdf
In this document, the first step is to define a query as EasyQuery. So I checked the option "By Easy Query" under Release for External Access.
After this I checked in Easy Query Management using EQMANAGER tcode, but there was no entry found for this query. It was blank.
Please help me in this issue.

    HI Antony Jerald J,
Do you have variables in your Bex Query.
Please check the pre requisites in the following link:

  • Easy Query not appearing in Gateway Service Builder

    Hi,
I am working on SAP HCM MSS Analytics lane which gets data from Easy Queries via Gateway Service. We are using ODP framework and required ODP configuration mentioned in SAP documents is maintained. I have installed Bex Query Designer ( based on 7.3 Sp 06 Revision 724 ) .
I am trying to create easy query and build gateway Service for that in ECC. I am able to open ODP query and change it property in Extended tab to "By Easy Query" but when I redefine service for BW Query in SEGW I do not see any easy query showing for RFC of ECC . In query designer message says successfully created , I even created simple query from info area of ODP , even then no success .
All configuration mentioned in documentation for Easy Query is maintained. Any suggestions would be of great help!

    Hi,
I have the same problem, Please Could you solve it?,

  • Facing problem with a date column in select query

    Hi,

You do not need the TRUNC here in any case.
I don't think so. What if the user wants only data for 22nd May and the table has records with date later than 22nd also? In that case your query willl not work. In order for the Index to work, I think the query can be written like this I think Sean is right though. Use of TRUNC Function is quiet useless based on the condition given here, since the to_date Function used by OP will always point to midnight of the specified date, in this case 22-05-2009 00:00:00.

Edit: I think Sean proved his point... ;)

  • Problem with logical database DDF in ABAP query

    Hi All,
I have created an ABAP query via the transaction SQ01 using the logical database DDF to retrieve customer master data from tables KNA1 & KNB1. The selection screen used is the screen 903 of the logical database DDF. But now the problem is that when I execute the query, I am getting a blank value in the tax code4(KNA1-STCD4) field though there is value in the KNA1 table for this particular field. This field was added to the table by means of a customizing include. Can anyone suggest a way to get around this problem so that I can view the content of the field STCD4 in the query.
    Thanks and regards,
    Sarath.

I think it's not used by DDF.
so you must check it with:
    check kna1-bran1 in s_bran1.

  • Problem when using About Operator in Contains Query

    Hi,
I'm new to Oracle and this forums too. I have a problem when using about operator in contains query.
I create a table with some records and then create a context index on 'name' column.
    CREATE TABLE my_items (

      name         VARCHAR2(200)   NOT NULL,

    INSERT INTO my_items VALUES(my_items_seq.nextval, 'Japan', 'Japan description', 3);

    CREATE INDEX my_items_name_idx ON my_items(name) INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT PARAMETERS('lexer english_lexer');
EXEC ctx_ddl.sync_index('my_items_name_idx');Then I perform contains query to retrieve record :
    SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'Japan', 1) > 0;
    COUNT(*)
          1
    SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'about(Japan)', 1) > 0;
    COUNT(*)
1But the problem is when I using ABOUT operator like in Oracle's English Knowledge Base Category Hierarchy it return 0
    SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'about(Asia)', 1) > 0;
    COUNT(*)
          0
    SELECT count(*) FROM my_items WHERE contains(name, 'about(transportation)', 1) > 0;

    Hello (and welcome),
You'd be best asking this question in the Oracle Text forum, here:
    Text
And by the way, it will help others to analyse if you put {noformat}{noformat} (lowercase code in curly brackets) before and after your code snippets.
    Good luck!

  • Problem in a Web Intelligence Rich Client Query

    Hi all,
I'm facing a problem when i tried to create a query in WebI.
I'm using a BI 7.1 Query as source of my Universe.
My problems beggin when I put all the objects that I need in the query.
The object "Date" that should be my 0Calday, came as "01/01/1970".
I fixed that on the Universe setting the object as "Date/Time" Category.
I thought that my problems are all gone, but when i tried to compare the values on the Query with those in BI, they do not mach.
So i think that there is something wrong with the object "Date".
    I still have another problem.
The object that i put in the line of my query is "LQPOSIT" Liquidity Item, that shows more than one line to a single Liquidity Item and I need a single line to a single Liquidity Item.
    Anyone can help me?
    Thanks.

Hi, Thank you for the help.
    Ok, date problem solved.
My second problem happens when I insert the Liquidity Item dimension (101) in the report lines. I need each Liquidity Item to be shown in a line, but what is actually happening now is that, if there are numerous input on the source for the same Liquidity Item in the same day, a lot of lines are created with the same Liquidity Item and I need these numerous lines to be merged into only one per Liquidity Item.
    For instance:
    This is what is shown:
    01.07.2010-----02.07.2010---03.07.2010
    Liquidity Item 1001001----
    ( - 350,00)-----(  50,00   )---( 50,00)
    Liquidity Item 1001001----
    (  450,00 )----
    (150,00  )------(150,00)
    Liquidity Item 1001001----
    (-  750,00 )-----( 150,00 )----(  90,00)
    Liquidity Item 1001001----
    (  850,00  )----(- 750,00 )---(- 450,00)
    Liquidity Item 1001001----
    (  50,00  )----
    ( 50,00 )-------(450,00)
And what I actually need it to show is the following:
    01.07.2010----
    02.07.2010----
    03.07.2010
    Liquidity Item 1001001----
    250,00----
    150,00----
    290,00
Now that the date problem is solved, I am facing another issue. Putting the query in a cross reference format, where in the lines I have the Liquidity Items and in the colums I have the days in a row, the cells are filled by the transacted value. However, the values present in the lines don't match the ones in the BI. Does anybody know how I can solve that?
    Thanks

  • Please help on how Bex execute the query designed in query designer.

    Hi All,
Want to know how bex execute/interpret  the query when the query is execute in analyzer.
I mean which part of the query is executed first, like  filter,RKF or CKF etc.
Want to do step by step analysis .Please suggest on this.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sameer Khan

    HI,
When u execute the query...It will fetch the Global filters data first ....means filters on Default values....then restrictions on Char Restriction pannnel....Then calculate the RKF and CKF,s....Conditions and Exeptions etc.......
    Thanks

  • MDX - metadata query

    Hi,
Is it possible to use MDX to query the outline and generate a mapping file that returns a list of members and its attribute in a separate column.
I tried to use the DIMENSION PROPERTIES but the output is not really what I expect.
    For example:
    SELECT
[CUSTOMER].Levels(0).Members DIMENSION PROPERTIES [CUSTOMER].[CUSTOMER SALES REP] ON ROWS,
    {[ACCOUNT].[A2_01]} ON COLUMNS
    from [FCRSCNPL.PL]
    returns something like:
(AMC332 - AMP SHANGHAI LTD.) | (CUSTOMER SALES REP = SR EQ, type: STRING, )
Not really what I have in mind, which should be something like:
    AMC332 SR EQ
Note that AMC332 is the member name and AMC332 - AMP SHANGHAI LTD. is the alias
    Thanks in advance,
    Regis

I did the same thing.  I think what we all have accidentally done was select a dimension that we wanted to hide then went to the properties window to set the Visible property.  What I just noticed is that if you click on on one of the dimensions while on the Cube Structure tab the properties window does not change to the dimension and the Visible property on the cube gets set to false accidentally.  At least that how I ended up doing it.  I hope this helps someone else realize how it happened to them.
