I have two Infoobjects in the infocube, which are formulas based on the other infoobjects.When i'm trying to create a transformation for them,im facing these errors.
The flag condition is that if revenue is greater than 50000 , it should be made 1.
The profit percentage condition is that it is calculated by profit/revenue.
Can u please help me on this ? its kinda urgent !

On your screenshot, it rather looks that the problem comes Rules 4 and 5, which are (as their error description shows it) Profit and BudgetedProfit.
As it has been told previously in this thread, as well as in the error message, you probably need to assign a source unit.

I have a transformation who has a formula for 2 KFs plus currency key, and the result goes to another KF with his currency key. The problem is that in the source DSO not always I have values for the source fields, and the DTP stops with an error. How can validate that I have all the required source filelds with "no empty values" before executing the formula in the transformation?. Any idea on how to write a "more intelligent" formula to avoid this error.?

As Suresh and Barris have suggested it could be easily done using a routine.
Something like:
If source_fields-KF1 ne SPACE and source_fields-KF2 ne SPACE .
Result = source_fields-KF1 + source_fields-KF2
endif.
However, if you want to implement it using formula, then you can try something like this:
IF(source_fields-KF1 = Blank,0,source_fields-KF1) + IF(source_fields-KF2 = Blank,0,source_fields-KF2)

i'm using Xalan 2.6.0 to transform xml and xsl into HTML.
This works fine but i get errors during Transformation but the HTML File is build.
The Error is:

When I remove the DOCTYPE it works but is this a Xalan Problem or is the using of a doctype declaration in a XSL Document generally forbidden ?
Because without Doctype i cant use characters such as "�", "�", and so on.

Data quality and error messages during transformation

I've read [Maintaining Data Quality in BW using Error Stack|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/20ebeb43-9e8a-2d10-b28e-825c0142ad4f] with great interest and hope this will become standard in the company, right now we have too many complex transformations which have been developed without logging and messaging.
One thing is unclear, the error message described in the example
monitor_rec-msgid = 'ZMESSAGE'
seems to refer to a ZMESSAGE defined in another step.
Could you please tell me how (transaction?) to define this message to be called during transformation?

here is some idea.. here i have taken expample dates 1)notification creation date and 2) notification completion.
1st:in the query designer at key figure coloumn create
one local formula.in that local formula create formula
variable with replacement path.in that take reference character
notification completion.in the next tab take replace ment
as key.in the last tab select "date".
2nd: do the same thing for the notification creation date.
3 rd : create 3 rd local formula and do the substraction
for the first 2 local formulas.
4th:create codition on the difference which u have find with
on that condition u can create one user entry varibale.
5th:while u defining the query put these 2 dates,i,e
notification completion, notification creation date in the character block.
If not system will ignore the formula variable which u created in
above steps.

Found a note explaining the significance of these errors.
It says:
"NZE-28862: SSL connection failed
Cause: This error occurred because the peer closed the connection.
Action: Enable Oracle Net tracing on both sides and examine the trace output. Contact Oracle Customer support with the trace output."

Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map.

I had too much time on my hands yesterday and I decided to try to remove an unused kernel extension that I saw in my EtreCheck report. The kext was for the PACE iLok, for Pro Tools, which I no longer use. I found the item that was installing the kext and removed it, and EtreCheck reported that the kext was gone.
Some time after that I was troubleshooting another issue I have with Mavericks (shutdown time: my shutdown time with ML was almost instantaneous; with Mavericks, it takes about 12 seconds.), and I used the recovery partition and Disk Utility to repair my HD and permissions.
DU reported that my usual boot volume was OK, and permissions repaired on it without problems.
When I have DU look at the drive itself, it reported: Problems were encountered during repair of the partition map.
And then, in ominous red text: error: live file system repair is not supported.
I tried repairing again, and also got this message: The partition map needs to be repaired because there's a problem with the EFI system partition 's file system.
I tried a few things to get these error messages to go away. I booted with a DiskWarrior disk and it was unable to do the repair.
I did a little reading about the EFI partition, and in Macs it appears to be a partition related to firmware updates.
My mac has not had any symptoms at all during this, aside from the slower shutdown.
Even so, I did not like the idea of a partition that could not be repaired on my HD, so I did a clean install. Seemed to work, DU reported a healthy drive and volume.
This morning, as I was preparing for a TM backup, I ran DU again, and the error messages were back. Not good.
This time I tried TechTool, and it was able to repair the HD from the TechTool eDrive (TechTool's version of the recovery partition).
I've looked in these discussions and there are some mentions of these error messages, but usually in the context of failing hard drives or drives that must be erased and the OS reinstalled.
I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me, what these error messages mean, why they are occurring, and if I can just ignore them. My internal HD is not a stock Apple drive, but a Samsung SSD that I installed some time ago, and which otherwise works fine. My current suspicions are that either:
there is something inherent in Mavericks that creates some problem with the EFI partition map over time, which then shows up in the error messages in DU
or there is some incompatibility with this SSD and Mavericks that creates the same error messages.

Our iTunes guru Terence Devlin advises the following:
1. Quit iTunes
2. Drag the iTunes folder from your internal hd - located in ~/Music folder - to your external hd. DO NOT delete the original one from your internal hd... yet!
3. When the transfer is complete, press and hold the Option(alt) key and fire up iTunes.
4. A "Choose iTunes Library" window will come up. Click on the "Choose Library" button.
5. Navigate to where the iTunes folder is located in the external hd.
6. Within the iTunes folder, select the iTunes Library file and click Choose...
That's it. iTunes will now display all your playlists, songs, movies, podcasts etc. At this point, should you wish, you can delete the iTunes folder from the internal hd to free up space.

I have Postingmonth and Forecast quantity in the source system. I have posting month, forecastquantity and one more extra field M-1forecast quantity in target syste. this M-1 forecastquantity should pick the previous month's forecast quantity.

If I am getting correct in M1you want to populate the qualtity of previous month, that means which was loaded in previous request.
Assuming that has got for previous month.
then in this case as per my understanding, you have to read the active table of same DSO in start routine, and populate the M1 with previous month in field lavel routine.

thanks for responding right away. I seem to be missing something basic it looks like. For key figures with currency - price and revenue it always complains saying ZSKQUAN not assigned to infoobject. So I go ahead and enter it and then I get assignment in the right box.
For the formula,
a) yes, you are right I am choosing the fields from the flat file. These are the two key figures (operands) that are to be multiplied to get revenue.
b) the formula syntax is correct. The error says "Rule 6 - cannot create formula or something to that effect".
For it to work, I entered the formula in the excel sheet itself(source file), but I would like to know in the future what I have to do.

If I need to filter out value "A" in field "customer" in a 7.0 transformation before the cube, I think i need to use a formula. The source filed and target field, I will be using "customer". In the rule type, i need to choose formula. Can someone tell me what is the syntax in this formua to only filter out value "A", but still making the rest of the values of customer field going to the cube?

As I tried out in DTP, there is one lag thing and wonder if you have experience before.
In DTP>Extraction Mode>Filter-->There are ten fields avalable but not my needed field. Then, I click on change selection, I was able to find the field and put on the selection screen on the top -->Continue -->Put value A as exclusion field and save, activate my DTP.
The problem is as I went back and check the filter selection again, I couldn't find the customer filed, Nor the value "A" . All I saw is the equal sign on the bottom in the red square.
However, it does filter out the value as I loaded the data to cube again.
Have you ever seen the strange GUI before?? Or I have missed any configuration here?

Problem with formula in the query

In cube I have 2 fileds EU date and US date .
For example :
In cube EU date =07/02/2008
US date = 23/02/2008
In the query we have a formula with these 2 fields
formula is DUE date = DATE ( ( 'Enter 1 = US; 2 = EU - Asia' == 1 ) * 'Due date US' + ( 'Enter 1 = US; 2 = EU - Asia' == 2 ) * 'Due date EU' )
In the varaible screeen we have a '"Enter 1 = US; 2 = EU - Asia' == 1"
So if u enter 1 it takes EU date and display as due date if u enter 2 it take US date and display as due date.
Problem is :
When we give "'Enter 1 = US; 2 = EU - Asia' == 1"---this value 2
in the report in some cases we get due date as 02/07/2008 instead of 07/02/2008. This is not for all records only few we get like this . and for US due date this problem is not there.

Please check again the cell value because it may contain correct value but display may be different.
You can apply the common display property fot the whole column using the workbook properties and saving the workbook.

BPM problem: mapping in a transformation step

In my current BPM scenario....
1)I created the interfaces below for the Receive step (receives MT_Request):
-MI_async_BPM
-MI_async_abstract
2)Then I created the interface and mapping for the transformation step:
-MI_JDBC_async_abstract
MM(MT_Request to MT_Request2)
IM(MI_async_abstract to MI_JDBC_async_abstract)
3)Then I created the interface and mapping for the Send step:
-MI_JDBC_async_in
MM(MT_Request2 to MT_DB_Insert)
IM(MI_JDBC_async_abstract to MI_JDBC_async_in)
Problem:
However, after I executed the scneario, it appeared the step 2) didn't go through correctly(error message:<b>NO_RECEIVER_CASE_ASYNC</b>). Did I set up the configuration wrong in Integration Process?
Also, I went back to ID to create a Receiver Determination for step 2) (thought this may clear the problem), but in the Sender tab of Integration Process object, MI_async_abstract was not in there. Please give me a hand on this problem. Thanks.

Below is the explanation for correlation by Anand Torgal which i think will be helpful to u....
To explain you the correlation in simple terms...take a simple example of BPM with a send step(async request) and receive step(async response). I am sending a PO request using the send step and waiting for a PO response using the recieve step. Assume that i have two instances of this BPM running i.e two PO request's going simultaneously. when i get the response back for these two requests , there will be two recieve steps waiting for the response since there are two instances of BPM running. the response need to be assigned the corresponding requests. This is where correlation comes into picture. I can use PO number as my correlation field. i.e I activate my correlation in the send step and use this correlation in receive step (this is configurable in BPM).
Example: PO number needs to be part both request and the response message structure.
BPM instance1:
send step -> activate correlation -> send message with PO Number1
Receive step -> use correlation -> receive response message with PO Number 1.
BPM instance1:
send step -> activate correlation -> send message with PO Number2
Receive step -> use correlation -> receive response message with PO Number 2.
There are many different scenario's whre you can use the correlation..this is one of them...The weblog shows another way of using correlation.

Problem with udev during the boot

Hi guys,
Sorry if I didn't post this message in the good section but I didn't find any support section, so I supposed that this section was the most apropriate.
So, I have a really ennoying problem with udevd since the latest kernel upgrade (3.2.2-1) during the boot.
I have the following error at the boot:
"udevd[37]: No such file or directory." and then the OS is unable to mount the disks and give me the weakest shell ever while saying me "You're on your own". Thank you Arch!
I can't find any informations on google about this error, and I d'ont find a complete explanation of udev debug (specialy because no logs are written at this moment).

Usually, you'll need a live CD (I recommend an ArchLinux Installation CD) or an LTS kernel sitting around on the same machine that can get you more or less into your favored machine. It can also be done, by pxe/diskless booting from an installation (I'm a fan of quick and efficient)! Then you have to mount all the necessary partitions /, /usr (sometimes /var if you need your packages) and most importantly /boot. They have to be mounted underneath the rescue system being used , usually under /mnt. Also needed is a mock-up of your /proc. /sys and /dev. Once they are mounted accordingly, then you chroot into your installation you need to fix. Styling XML with XSLT Problem with javax.xml.transform???

I have been trying to make a transformation and seem to be having a problem in that javax.xml.transform can not be found while using jdk1.3....If I use jdk1.4, there is no problem....
