Problem in material master upload using LSMW

Dear All
I am trying to upload material master using LSMW (batch input recording).
I am facing problem while doing 14 step (Run Batch Input Session). When i'm running the batch input session, on the Create Material (Initial Screen), system picks values for material code, industry sector & material type but gives error message "select at least one view". system is not allowing me select the views which i selected while recording. system allows me to select all the view which i don't want.
why system is asking me to select the views and also how to select the required view?

do i need to do complete LSMW steps fpr all the view separately? if i do LSMW for basic view1, for other view do i need to go for change TCode or create T Code?

  • Problem in Customer Master Upload using LSMW

    Hi,
    I am using LSMW direct input method to upload customer master. I have used ZSOURCE structure as parent structure and for multilple entries like Bank details and contact details i have used other child structure like ZBANK and ZCONTACT. I am using separate flat file for Bank and contact details.
    I have used one common field 'ID' as the first field both on ZSOURCE, ZBANK and ZCONTACT structure to link-up. Thus, i am able to load multiple records for Bank data. But i am unable to get contact details.
    Also, value for Reconciliation account(KNB1-AKONT) and sales group(KNVV-VKGRP) is not passed to screen.
    I have checked 'Generate Read Program','Read Data', 'Generate Conversion Program' and 'Convert Data' step again and again. Upto step 'Display Converted Data', data is converted successfully, but the same field values are not passed to screen.
    Can you pls help me to get the value..

    LSMW will have a Indicator for headr and itam, i do not remember the correct field, but it will have an indicator, check the fields, there will be a single charecter lenght field, that should be the indicator, and using that we can write the logic.
    check that single charecter field, if that is X that means the header record is processed, and do the items.
    and, this is another way, try this out also
    YOu can do this in "Define Source Structures" step,
    the HEADER is defined first,
    then the DETAIL below the HEADER.
    add the fields to the structures.
    Both should have some common key field
    Please take care that the name of the common field is the same.
    Once you do this it is linked. The you have a header and item corresponding to that header. then run the LSMW as you would.

    Not all LSMW transactions properly update Planning file.
    You can run transaction MDAB to set up planning file in Background
    You can run transaction MDRE to detect and correct Planning file inconsistancies in Background.
    It is probably a good idea to run these jobs periodically, say, weekly, in most production environments.

When i am trying to upload data i am getting the following error "The field MARC-MTVFP/BAPI_MARC-AVAILCHECK is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry".

  • Material Classification Upload using LSMW

    Hi SAP Experts,
    We are thinking of using LSMW as a means to upload our material master data for the classification view. How is this done?
    Can we use LSMW to upload materials with many class assignments with multiple characteristics?
    Ex. Material A is assigned to class X and class Y. Class X has characteristics 1, 2, and 3. Class Y has characteristics 4, 5, and 6.
    Would appreciate a swift response.

        If it is the existing material you need to modify the Classification type. It can be done by BDC. If you instruct the ABAP team they will make it & give. I am not sure about modifying classification type using LSMW. If you need to create a new material master data with classification using LSMW i will give the steps.

    My problem is...im want to upload my material master datas by steps like 1st i want to uplaod the basic views 1&2 for all the material types in one shot...
    next thing i want to load the other views like purchasing sales mrp plant qm accounting etc., in single shot......like screen to be extended formats....im mm01 or by mm02...
    when i did....no problem i've  faced upto MRP loading...but the next view like plan,QM,accounting is not coming when recording in RUN batch input session..it says..."the material has been already extended and no input was given for this screen"....

  • Transferring MATERIAL MASTER DATA USING lsmw

    I am using LSMW to transfer material master data from text file using direct input program RMDATIND.  The problem is that the field WRKST in screen is of 48 characters while the batch data structure BMMH1 of field WRKST contains 14 characters. How can we transfer the full 48 characters in text file to THE FIELD BMMH1 IN DIRECT INPUT PROGRAM. Can we write any translation or routines . If yes, how is it possible. I can do the same using BDC but our client is already using the LSMW , only the new field WRKST for material has to be inserted. It is picking only 14 characters.

    I could able to solve the issue for invalid unit Error ....Now i am getting **** unit of measure is not defined , pls check your entry or else i am getting alternate unit of mesure is same as base unit of measure .
    I have used below logic for Purchase Order Unit and Base Unit of measure .

  • Material Master Upload though LSMW - How to add new custom segments to LSMW

    Hi,
    I have an existing LSMW to create material master idocs (ZMATMAS) from legacy file. Now I need to add new custom segment under E1MARCM, for example say ZMARC1 which will have 2 new custom fields.
    1. I created the segment through WE31 and released it.
    2. I created an extension to ZMATMAS using WE30 and released it.
    Now Im trying to change the LSMW so that I will have the new segment ZMARC1 under E1MARCM so that I can do the field mappings. But I am not able to get it done. i.e. I dont know what should I do so that I can get the new segment in LSMW.
    I tried giving the extension in the first step of LSMW. i.e. Maintain Object Attributes but its not allowing me to give an extension. Do I need to add to the basic type ZMATMAS05 and release it to get it reflected in LSMW.
    Please give your suggestions.

    U can not add u r 'Z' program in Maintian attributes of LSMW.
    But U can create the BAPI and assign Business object, Then u can use u r Business Object in Lsmw.

                While processing each idoc  one log on window is opening,and status of idoc is 51,eventhough i am passing material description to maktx of e1maktm,it is showing an 'No description is passed'.

    Actually I am uploading the data in flat file from file port to sap.
    In idoc inbound processing of lsmw i have created a file port and iam giving the logical system name of the same client.
    is this the correct procedure.
    Every time when i process each idoc one new logon window is opening and it is showing idoc status as 51.
    could you please tell me how to correct this one.

    I am trying to upload service masters thru LSMW. When I try to record thru AC01, all the fields are greyed out and the create button is also greyed out.

    AC01 is not ment for LSMW SAP does not allows to create LSMW with tcode AC01
    try to create LSMW by AC02
    when u go to initial screen the click on Create icon ir blank doc icon
    u r issue will be solved 100 %
