Problem in running any jsp or servelt in eclipse

Hi all,
my J2ee app was working good. & today when i tried to run any jsp page or servlet the following error appears to me "the selection did not contain any resources that can run on a server" , i use Apache tomcat 6.0.18 & eclipse j2ee.
can any one help me in solving this problem?

That should have been a different error message. You said you got the same, which is impossible. Don't rephrase errors.
If you get a "Requested resource not available" error message from the application server in your webbrowser, then this simply means that either the URL is wrong or that the resource is actually not there where you think it is. It's actually exactly the same as a HTTP 404 error, if you know what it is.
Check the URL. Most common mistake by starters is that they didn't know that the URL is case sensitive. If your contextroot is for example called 'Playground', then you should call it by http://localhost:8080/Playground, not http://localhost:8080/playground.

    hi....
    i made a java class abc.java and then compiled it to get a java class file named abc.class in a package named pkg.
    Then i copied this package in the classes folder of the WEB-INF folder in tomcat 5.0.

  • I am updated to the most recent Firefox, yet every website I use still says I need to update. Even the Mozilla site does this. What am I doing wrong. Also, all games on Facebook give me HUGE problems. cannot run any of them.

    I am not sure if there is a problem with my computer or the sites I go to. I even went to the speed page of Firefox and it said I was not updated, I am using 8.0.1. What can I do?

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.5) Gecko/20091102 Firefox/'''3.5.5 '''(.NET CLR 3.5.30729) '''FBSMTWB'''
    Your users agent is stuck at Firefox 3.5.5 due to a extension during when you had 3.5.5 and it tacked on ''FBSMTWB''' on end and kept it from updating the version number. This was due to the "Fast Browser Search toolbar" extension (FBSMTWB). This issue is not a problem with Firefox 4.0 and newer.
    See this on how to reset it to normal. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/websites%20or%20add-ons%20incorrectly%20report%20incompatible%20browser#w_reset-your-user-agent

  • Scarey problem when running anything in 3D mode

    Hi,
    I own a MSI KT4 Ultra motherboard, have done for years and it worked flawlessly with my Voodoo3 3000 PCI graphics card. However, a while ago I retired the old beast in favour of a (then new) Nvidia FX 5950 Ultra AGP card. After a while, I noticed a very scarey problem when running any 3D applications...
    The first time I noticed it happening, I was playing Max Payne 2. The game suddenly went very slow, then the machine suddenly powered off (as if I pulled the power plug). I was unable to get it to restart, and eventually traced the problem back to my PSU, or so I thought...
    So, with a new PSU, I was okay for about a month, when it happened again, different game this time. So I promptly brought yet another PSU.
    Now with this PSU, when the system powers off in that scarey fashion it does, the computer actually re-starts when I pull the power cable out, count to 30, and put it back in again. Yet this PSU is a mear 300w (the others were 400w and 550w).
    Now the really scarey thing is that it's happening a whole lot more now. Even in 3D screensavers! When I played UT2004 this morning, it happened before I could even start a game! It seems that *any* 3D app causes this problem. It's very scarey seeing your computer shut down in this way.
    I tried re-setting the BIOS to 'safe' settings. However, if anything, it made the problem worse!
    I've noticed this behaviour in both Windows XP and Linux.
    Specs I think would be usefull:
    Athlon XP 2600+
    NVidia FX 5950 Ultra
    2 HDs
    1 CD-Rom
    Lots of fans (still runs hotter than I'd like, but is stable).
    Any help would be appeciated
    -Ribs.

    Hi,
    Spoke too soon  , right after I made that post, my machine crashed and rebooted in the most awfull fashion whilst playing Enemy Territory.
    I have a feeling it could be to do with how hard the hardware is being pushed. As UT2004 nearly always breaks, and pushes the hardware a lot harder than Enemy Territory does (Enemy Territory worked on my old Voodoo3 3000 PCI!). I can usually play a good session of Enemy territory and get bored of the game so I quit without doing a restart.
    I've still yet to get a new PSU (money is tight at the moment). I'll be able to get a new one soon. Any suggestions on a uber-powerfull one that couldn't possibly be underpowered? Preferably with two fans (inside and out) with a passthrough for my monitor.
    Thanks.
    -Ribs.

    Hi,
    I have a serious problem with running any kind of software having GUI as root, which is indispensable for editing system files. For example I want to edit /etc/pacman.conf file with KWrite, and here's what I get

    Maybe vim is in edit mode when you press 'i' but it doesn't show '-- INSERT --' at the bottom of the screen.

    Ok so I've done what you said and this is what it's come back ....
    I don't know that these are the errors , but they're the things which don't look right ...
    Throughout the shut down there is a recurring line ;
    It says ;
    Com.apple.launchd 1 0x100600e70.anonymous.unmount 301 PID still valid
    Then there are 2 more which I think are related ;
    Com.apple.securityd 29 PID job has I overstayed its welcome , forcing removal.
    Then the same with fseventd 48 and diskarbitrationd 13
    Oh and on Launchd1 : System : stray anonymous job at shut down : PID 301 PPID13 PGID 13 unmount...
    Then the last process says "about to call: reboot (RB_AUTOBOOT).
    Continuing...
    And stops ...
    Hope this means something to you ... Thanks again for your help so far :-)

    <HEAD><TITLE>Hello</TITLE></HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <H1>
    Hello, <%= HelloBean.getName() %>
    </H1>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    Since CREATE is set to "yes", I'd expect an instance of the HelloBean class to be cerated but it does not seem to be the case.
    Any clues?

    Anytime I try to run ANY Java program, i get the
    following error:
    Exception in thread "main"
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Program Name
    I am POSITIVE I have compiled the programs and the
    *.class file appears. Anyone have any idea whats going
    on?I just ran across what appears to be the exact same problem. The solution was to clear the CLASSPATH variable in the registry first, by entering "set classpath=", then calling the program with "java <program name>". In your case:set classpath=
    java InvoiceAppType both in the directory where InvoiceApp.class is located. If, for some reason, that doesn't work, try:set classpath=<path to library directory of Java installation>
    set classpath=
    java InvoiceAppAn example of the library directory of the Java installation would be "\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_02\lib"
    A more permanent solution would be to remove the CLASSPATH key from the registry (the one under the SYSTEM category). This should also cause any other Java program to run correctly. However, the above should take care of the problem in the short-term.
    Here is the link to the thread, in case it might help you out further:
