Problem in running WAR file developed through NetBeans Visual Web

hi all,
actually i developed a web application in JSF using IDE NetBeans Visual Web.
application is having a table which is connected to database ( MySQL ).... i dragged my database table on visual web's table and all the connections were automatically created. i m using tomcat as a web server.
application runs fine through Netbeans but wen i deployed its war file in tomcat and tried to run.....browser showed me the table but the data was not there.....infact i m getting "No items in the table" written, in my table on browser.

One suggestion is to use JDeveloper to do the deployment.
Create a connection in JDeveloper to the OC4J instance you wish to deploy to, then create a new deployment profile for your application and let JDeveloper perform the deploymnent for you.
Once it's working, you can then go and look at the OC4J configuration files and see the tags looks like to perform the deployment correctly.
Note that JDeveloper will deploy the WAR file by first wrappering it in an EAR file.

Netbeans visual web app design tab won't load?

Is there anybody that has the following problem when trying to start a new visual web application in Netbeans 6? If so, could you help me fix the problem?
Every time I try a new visual web application in Netbeans, the design tab won't load and I get an error message. I can use the Java tab and the JSP tab with no problems. It's just that the design tab says "please wait loading" but it nothing ever shows up. I can basically do everything else, except for dragging things from the palette to the design tab. The error message is:

HELP!!! Can't use sql:update in Netbeans Visual Web JSP

I use Netbeans Visual Web in my project. I use Java DB database and Sun Java System Application Server 9.
When i run my project, there is an error "The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request."

I can't store the data "jacky" into "Username" column in "user" table in database. Can anyone please let me know where is my mistake. Thanks.

Maybe that SQL statement isn't valid. All those quotes look weird to me, but don't take that as meaning they are wrong. You should look in your server's logs to find out the actual error that occurred, rather than trying to guess what's wrong.

NetBeans Visual Web - Will be Studio Creator after that?

I just found that Visual Web will be incorporated to NetBeans and AFAIK is JSC code/based with improved navigation tool.
I'm glad (and may be drop eclipse) about this but question is:
There will be a Studio Creator por will be die after the release of NB 5.5 ?

Problem deploying a WAR file in Weblogic 10

I get an error trying to deploy a WAR file on WebLogic 10 on two of my co-workers computers. On my computer it works fine and on our development server running on SUSE 10 it is also fine. We are using Struts 2, Hibernate 3 and Spring 2.5. From what I understand, your configuration is obviously different from your co-workers' config.
So you've got two choices : either you make their environments work like yours, or you make the application to work anywhere !
In order to do so, I would advise you to use a comparison tool, such as BeyondCompare (excellent) and compare your domain configurations (config directories)
Or as James suggested it, you go hunt for unnecessary libraries in your application DD.
Extra question : have you tried to create a new domain, and activate the Workshop extension ? Try then to deploy your application and tell us what's the result.
If you created your application in Workshop, mind the facets : if you do not chose the correct set of facets, you'll have lots of extra libs, more annoying than helping.

                    I should say you that we do not have a package and class like: com.wira.webservices.bpel.jaxws.RequestResponse and it looks like WLS is mistaken about this.
          Indeed this application works fine on Sun java application server 9 (java ee 5 certified). Can you please tell me why does it happens?

Following are the steps involved in deploying a WAR file in Oc4j.
1. Copy the file to D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications where d:\oc4j is the location OC4J is installed in.
copy mywar.war D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\applications
2. Open the application.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config directory
and add the following after the <web-module id="defaultWebApp" path="../default-web-app" />
line:
<web-module id="mywar" path="../applications/mywar.war" />
3. Open the default-web-site.xml file in D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\config
directory and add the following after the <default-web-app application="default" name="defaultWebApp" /> line:
<web-app application="default" name="mywar" root="/mywar" />

Configuration files seems correct to me, but the deployment of the war is not
working..
Does someone have an idea of what is the problem?

Problem in running JAR file

Creating a mobile game using J2ME. The JAR file created by Netbeans IDE when bein run on mobile gives an error: JAR and JAD file did not match.

Problem deploying a War file to server

Hi,
I'm trying to deploy my war file a simple servlet program given by Google Webtookit to my Resin server v2.1.13.
I created a war file and dropped it into the webapps folder. When I try to launch the application, I get the following error. My class is in the right directory, I am able to launch it on my local resin server on my machine. When I try to deploy it onto a 3rd party server, is when I get the error. I have checked my web.xml file and made sure they are pointing correctly to the class I want it to point to. Where am I going wrong?

Resin 2.1.13 (built Thu Apr 1 10:57:42 PST 2004)

I am trying to deploy my application on Lunarpages. (not the best support in the world). They have Resin v 2.1.13 running on their end. I have tried everything I know, but the classpath is still an issue. I have even printed out the list of classpath through my code and everything seems to be right. I can deploy the same war file on any server Tomcat, Jetty, Resin 3.x (my local), but just not on lunarpages. I am stumped. Please help.

Problem in Deploying war file in oc4j

I have developed an application using struts and packaged in war file. It runs ok in tomcat server. I want to deploy it in embedded oc4j server of E-Business Suite. Please give me directions................

AFAIK, EBS 11.5.10 doesn't come with OC4J. It uses Apache Jserv which is Servlet 2.0 and with a special JSP engine. This doesn't support J2EE WAR files. It might support Struts but I'd not bet on that.
Having said that, you need to get an OC4J standalone version installed (minimum) and started by the standard EBS startup scripts.
Once this is done and if your WAR is self-contained, ie contains all the libraries, it is quite easy. Just deploy it using the command-line tools (all versions) or the web admin interface of OC4J (from 10.1.3).
Only thing you have to change is the URL in the OAF page to point to the right server...

Error while deploying war file inOC4J through o9ias

Dear friends
I receive an error while deploying a war file to oracle 9i application server stating that one or more process is running, shutdown by 9iAS or by enterprise manager or use dcmctl resynInstance to free the resource.
This error happens when one deploy is either interrupted or not deployed properly. But even after stopping the process by "dcmctl stop" or by the command "dcmctl resynInstance" i am not able to deploy any more applications. Kindly guide me

You probably want to post this question over in the OC4J forum or in one of the 9iAS forums. ODBC is a Windows C++ & VB client API, so it doesn't have a lot to do with the Oracle application server or OC4J.

I am new to Java and even newer to the Java System Application Server.
I am using a training course to learn Servlets and JSP. I installed J2EE and the Application Server yesterday, and when I try to follow the course in deploying a WAR file I get the following error in the log file

I am using the Admin console to do the deployment
Per the training class, I am checkeing the "Verifer" box.
Following is the general error message I get from the admin counsole:

Can you deploy your application without verifier checkbox set? You have to remember that verifier is very strict when it comes to validating deployment descriptors.
There are loads of applications that fail to be deployed with verifier checked but work quite well. This doesn't mean that you should just ignore verifier's errors, it means that your web application is not stricly following J2EE spec.
What you should probably do is run verifier separately as suggested by deployer and see what it says. Check the following link for verifier usage:

Everyone, I guessed we meet the same issue.
During debug mode, the main program can load vit file by vit file path, the interface and function both are ok. as soon as I build all files to exe file, the program can work well but it just means function is ok, the interface invoved vit file all couldn't be showed normally.
I copied the original vit file to build package, there isn't any problem in Runing Executable File.
This is just one way to solve this problem. I don't think it's the best way, who can provide a better idea? which way is only to include vit file as other vi during build exe package, and anyone don't easy change original vit file, thanks!
