PROBLEM IN SAVING A FILE AS JAVA FILE

PLEASE TELL ME ANYBODY RELATED TO THIS TOPIC,
I WANT TO SAVE MY FILE AS .JAVA FILE ,BUT IT SAVES AS .TXT FILE.

Man!! Looks like I'm thinking of everything from a develpment point of view!! Need to go out and smell the air!! ;O))
Doing it by placing the file name in quotations is the best way to go about it, what I also do is that I set my windows to show me extentions for all files as well so that I know whats happening.
Tools -> Folder Options [View Tab]
Un-check "Hide extentions for known file types"
then your file name will appear as abcd.java.txt, which you can rename removing the .txt part from it.... :O)

  • How to convert a .class file into .java file without .jad using DeJDecompil

    Hi all,
I am using DeJDecompiler and working with swing applications. If I try to convert a .class file into .java file,it is converting into .jad file only.Fine but if I try to save that file into .java file,It is giving lot of errors in that program. When I went into that program the total style of the program is changed and TRY-CATCH block is not recognised by the dejdecompiler, hence If I try to include some methods in the existing .java file thus got,I could not do.Kindly help me.
If I get the .java file without error then I can process the rest of the functionality.

  • How to convert class files into java files??

    Hey Guys,
    I need a little help.
I want to know wheather we can view .class files as .java files or convert the .class to .java files. Is ther any tool or software for doing that.
Or in other words can i see the source code of any .class file..??
Plz do tell me if we can do that or any other way we can do that.
    Regds,
    Gokul

Sort of. A "decompiler" will take a class file and generate a source code file of source code that could be compiled to get the class file you started out with. However, it won't be the same source code that was originally used to create the class. Most notably, comments will be missing, and variable names will probably be meaningless.
And before you say "java is bad because you can decompile it", note that any language that you can execute you can theoretically decompile.
Also, you can view the raw byte codes. If you're familiar with assembly language, or better yet familar with java bytecodes and the JVM in particular, you can often find out what a particular method does just by viewing the byte codes.

  • How to run perl file from java file..???

    Hi All,
How to run a perl file from java file.I know that there is one JPL(Java-Perl Library) preprocessor which can be used to do this, but no idea of how to do it..

Ok and any idea regarding JPL..????I don't know it and the first few posts that I found mentioned it using Java 1.1-style JNI calls, which hints at a dead project. And you don't want to use a dead project.

  • Convert .class files into .java files???

Does anybody know how to convert x.class file back to a x.java file. Or in other terms, extract .java files from a jarfile??
    Thanks for any help
    /carlos

Does anybody know how to convert x.class file back to a x.java file.As Dr.Clap said, that's decompiling.
Or in other terms, extract .java files from a jarfile??That isn't quite the same thing. You can decompile a .class that's in a jar, but a .class file doesn't have to be in a jar and a file in a jar isn't necessarily a .class.

  • Creating .jnlp files from .java files

Last resort: Ask on the forums. I'm having a lot of trouble creating .jnlp files with only a .java file. For some reason if I do create project, the project does not run correctly, but when I make the file and run the file alone, it works perfectly fine. Most of the tutorials that I have read online ask me to do weird manifest .class stuff (in order to make JAR files, which i have failed to do even after attempting to make one after 3 hours). And still, when it comes to make the .jnlp file, I don't quite understand anything. When putting it on the web, I'm planning not to use php (html is in my mind right now), and I have aborted every single attempt at making the JAR files and whatnot.
At this point, I'm not asking for anything other than a link to a tutorial that actually works, because all that I have tried (for the JAR files, especially) have been giving me errors. By the way, one really bothersome output that comes up is the "illegal option: j" when I use the Tool for the JAR file, and I have no idea what that means--I google it and find nothing. The .java itself extends JPanel, so it isn't really an applet.
    How to: Run an Applet
Create an Applet Class by clicking File > New > File > File Type > Java Classes > Applet Class.
Enter a name and path for the applet and click Finish.
Build the file by pressing F7.
Create an Applet HTML file by clicking File > New > File > File Type > Other > HTML Applet.
Enter a name and path for the applet and click Finish.
Open the HTML file in JCreator and modify the applet tag to match the name of the applet class.
Open the Project Settings window and select the HTML file as the Run parameter.
Click the Run Project button. It isn't really a code, but I tried doing this and the HTML Applet said code = ".class" Again, I don't have a class for the file. And when you do the "File > New > File > File Type > Java Classes > Applet Class," you get the .java file and a folder that says "components, with two classes in it. I was completely befuddled.

  • Configure properties file that java file uses in OSB.

I have a jar file consisting of java files which maintain the session id in the queue. One main jar depends on 3 more jars for logging.
Also java files in the jar depends on the *.properties file to read the queue length dynamically.
I need to access the main jar from osb proxy server. I used java callout to access the java method provided in the main jar.
My question is: where should I place *.properties which is used by java class, in the osb folder. I don't see how I can add *.properties in the osb console.
Your timely help is greatly appreciated.

    sudheshna wrote:
another java class which loads property file...I'm understanding that you don't have way to modify this +"another java class"+, but you have to figure out what strategy it uses to pick up the properties file... classpath? environment variable? absolute path? relative path?
If the file needs to be on the classpath (a common strategy) then you can just place the it in %DOMAIN_HOME%\config\soa-infra... This one is usually in the classpath... Other option is to change setDomainEnv.cmd(setDomainEnv.sh) to add a directory to the classpath and place the file there...
    Hope this helps...

    Hi
Put all the logic u have put in the JSP, into a servlet and compile it.
Your webserver also does almost the same thing, it take the JSP and converts it into a servlet.
