Problem in search help view for Contact (BP_CONT_SEARCH)

Hi,
I am trying to create service order. There I have 2 fields ... Sold-to-Party and Contact.
when I say F4 for Contact it is displaying the next screen with 4 parameters. There I have Account ID paramater.
In the CRM 6.0, the Account ID is being populated with Sold-to-Party ID, by default.
But, Now I am working in CRM 7.0. The Account id is not defaulting to Sold-to-Party ID.
And I observed that in CRM 6.0, all the fields on Serch help view are binded to SEARCH->VALUE1 attribute.
But, In CRM 7.0, this is not done. I donno whthr it might be the reason..or som thing else.
Please let me know, for defaulting this value, what we need to.

PCUI 4.0, Search Help Required for New field

Hi everyone
I am working in CRM 4.0 Sales Order application
We created a new field in CRM sales Order in Header level in SAP GUI through EEWB.
The search help for the new field is working fine in SAP GUI. We want to add the same field with F4 help functionaliity in PCUI as well.
The field has been added in structure CRMT_BSP_SLS_OD1_General. It also shows domain value for the field however Origin of input field ie empty
The field has been added in PCUI and is successfully showing data inputted in SAPGUI
However we need search help functionality for the field
i tried these two steps
1) i checked on domain value checkbox and changed the field from input to dropdown. However the dropdown is empty in PCUI. Whenever i check box domain values for some field then all the possible values in SPA GUI are displayed in PCUI, however this is not working here.
2) I put Value_table in F4 of the field
This is also throwing up empty values
Am i missing something in this case
Please let me know how to go about it

I am not sure what is meant by regenerating the field group in this case
I added the entries for my view in the field group and generated the layout of the field group (If this is what you mean)
The field is working fine. I am able to save values to the field and able to see values saved in GUI.
I haven't linked search help of the field in PCUI
I am not sure how to go about it.
I used the data element in the structure for the field.
The data element has Domain entry in <b>Entry Help/Check</b> of the structure
If i check the Domain Value checkbox in my field group then the domain values should be available in dropdown if the field is dropdown
However i am not able to see the possible values of the field (It is present in SAP GUI)
Does something else needs to be done in this case

i have assigned the srch help (prem) to my 'ZFIEXP_PROJALLOC' table for the emp_id.
but in output it is now showing the help.

with this it is showing the help in employee code, but, when i click on an empl number, it is not added to my table control and allowing me to add the number by typing them.

In the layout give layout-sel_mode = 'A'. and
pass 'A' to i_save exporting parameter to method set_table_for_first_display.
The same thing if you are working with function module
reuse_alv_grid_display.

Steps for creation of search help exit for a search help

I have created a search help. I need to create a search help exit for this search help.
Please let me know how to create a search help exit as well as how to link it to my search help.

1)Copy the FM F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE to write your own FM. (check the documentation and coding of FM F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE).
2)write your code depending upon the functionality you want.
3)attach the FM in search help through SE11 in "search help exit" field.
A search help exit is a function module for making the input help process described by the search help more flexible than possible with the standard version.
This function module must have the same interface as function module F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE. The search help exit may also have further optional parameters (in particular any EXPORTING parameters).
A search help exit is called at certain timepoints in the input help process.
Note: The source text and long documentation of the above-specified function module (including the long documentation about the parameters) contain information about using search help exits.
Function modules are provided in the function library for operations that are frequently executed in search help exits. The names of these function modules begin with the prefix F4UT_. These function modules can either be used directly as search help exits or used within other search help exits. You can find precise instructions for use in the long documentation for the corresponding function module.
This module has been created as an example for the interface and design of Search help exits in Search help.
All the interface parameters defined here are mandatory for a function module to be used as a search help exit, because the calling program does not know which parameters are actually used internally.
A search help exit is called repeatedly in connection with several events during the F4 process. The relevant step of the process is passed on in the CALLCONTROL step. If the module is intended to perform only a few modifications before the step, CALLCONTROL-STEP should remain unchanged.
However, if the step is performed completely by the module, the following step must be returned in CALLCONTROL-STEP.
For more detailed information please refer to the documentation describing the concept of the search help exit.
The module must react with an immediate EXIT to all steps that it does not know or does not want to handle.

Issue Search Help Exit for Material Group

I developed a search help exit for material group for the search helps both H_T023 and H_2023_MEPO to restrict certain material groups from the actual display as follows
1) I developed custom table to hold the Invalid material groups
2) Developed search help as same as in the bellow link

This is working fine when we press F4 in ME21N Transaction and give some description and then press enter the popup screen.
But my requirement is user will enter some description in ME21N material group field and press enter ( Not pressing the F4 here) at this moment this is not going through the search help exit and displaying all the entries including the Invalid materials.
Note: We can delete the Invalid material groups but the documents which are having the invalid material already will have an issue and need to be corrected all the documents. But our requirement is only to use the correct materials groups from now onwards.
I would appropriate if any one can helping this regard.

You can call your ZSEARCH_HELP from the PAI , on the event SY-UCOMM = Enter using the function module F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST.
For example, your screen field is MARA-ZXXXX, screen 0100 and search help : ZSEARCH_HELP

Help View for Search Help

Dear Experts,
I have successfully created a Help View (ZKEYHELP) using SE11 and activated it. Then when I try create a Search Help using SE11 again and specify the Selection Method as (ZKEYHELP) it prompts me an error when activating saying: "View ZKEYHELP is of type C and therefore not suitable as selection method".
The Delivery Class of the Help View ZKEYHELP I created is C - Customizing table, maintenance only by cust.
Is there any way to solve this problem. Thanks.

*Creating Elementary Search Helps *
Procedure
In the initial screen of the ABAP Dictionary, select object class Search help, enter the name of the search help and choose Create.
A dialog box appears in which you must select the type of search help.
Select Elementary search help and choose .
The maintenance screen for elementary search helps appears.
Enter an explanatory text in the field Short text.
You can for example find the search help at a later time using this short text.
In the Definition tab page enter the selection method of the search help.
You can enter the name of a table or a view (database view, projection view or help view) here. If you enter a table that has a text table, the name of the text table is automatically entered in the corresponding field.
Using the input help (F4 help), select fields of the selection method as parameter in the Search help parameter area. Select the fields that should be used in the dialog box for value selection or in the hit list.
If the selection method is a table that has a text table, both the fields of the table and the fields of the text table are offered in the input help.
The data element of the parameter is automatically copied from the selection method. The data element defines the output attributes and the F1 help of the parameter in the hit list and in the dialog box for value selection.
You can assign the parameter another data element. To do so, select the Mod flag. The Data element field is now ready for input. Then select a data element with the input help (F4 help). Only data elements whose data type, length and number of decimal places is the same as those of the previous data element can be assigned.
This removes the link between the data element of the search help parameter and the data element of the selection method field having the same name. If you cancel the Mod flag, the data element of the assigned table field is used again.
Define the attributes of the search help parameters.
Select the IMP flag if it is an import parameter. Select the EXP flag if it is an export parameter.
You can define the dialog for the input help with the fields LPos, SPos and SDis. Enter the parameter position in the hit list in LPos. If you enter nothing or the value 0 here, the parameter is not displayed in the hit list.
Enter the parameter position in the dialog box for value selection in SPos. If you enter nothing or the value 0 here, the parameter is not displayed in the dialog box for value selection.
Set the SDis flag if the parameter should be a pure display field in the dialog box for value selection. The user is thus informed that the contents of the parameter restrict the value, but he cannot change this restriction. This makes sense for example when the parameter is an import parameter or if it has a default value.
You can assign the parameter a default value in the Default value field.
Select the dialog type of the search help.
The dialog type defines how the hit list is displayed in the input help.
Save your entries.
A dialog box appears in which you have to assign the search help a development class.
Choose .
Do not forget to link the search help to a screen field. The search help attachment is not part of the search help definition; it is part of the object definition to which the search help is attached.
Result
The search help is activated. You can find information about the activation flow in the activation log, which you can display with Utilities ® Activation log. If errors occurred during activation, the activation log is automatically displayed.
Other Options
Assign a hot key: If the search help is to be accessed with a hot key, you must enter a one-place ID in the Hot key field. All the elementary search helps contained in a collective search help should have different short cuts.
Assign a search help exit: In exceptions, you might have to change the standard flow defined by the search help with a search help exit. In this case enter the name of the search help exit in the corresponding field.
Test the search help: You can test the flow of an input help defined by the elementary search help with . A dialog box appears in which you can simulate the behavior of the search help under different conditions. You can obtain information about the options provided in this window with

Some contacts have disappeared from my phone. Not all just random ones. They are still in the phone because if someone (who has disappeared from my phone contacts calls me their name appears and if i search in text messages for contacts they are still there - but if i search in phone contacts they are not there, Help!

But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync.

Problem in including search help exit for MM03 transaction.

i am trying to include search help for MM03 trasaction based on MATKL(material group) WGBEZ (description) in the form of alv tree display.
Fuctionality i want to achive is :
1. after pressing F4 on MM03, it prompts to select material group screen, on pressing F4 on material group, now i am able to get the ALV tree display of all the materials and description based on the selection screen criterion.
2. now, after selecting one material group from ALV screen, i am able to map the corresponding value on the material group on the previous(intermediate) screen, but after pressing enter on this screen, i need to get the corresponding material to be mapped on the MM03 transaction, which i am unable to get.
when i press enter, it is again going to ALV tree display only and values arent getting refreshed.
Please help me in solving this.

Problem in Search Help Exit

Hi Experts,
I have aproblem in Search help Exit. I have added tab to the standard search help by creating elemntry search help and assigned that search help to standard search help. I am calling function module for search help exit. I dont have any selection method.
I am getting the epected results by using the funtion module F4UT_RESULTS_MAP. This funtion module displays all the results list. My only problem i have is when i select the value from the results list the value is not populating in to the field.

Search help exit for CSH_T003 not working in FB60

Hi. We need to restrict document types per transaction code.
I know we can use authorisations but it would look nicer to actually restrict the list available, so the user can only choose a valid one, rather than choose any but then be told of authorisation problems.
I put a user exit on the collective search help CSH_T003 and also on the individual H_T003 and set a break point right at the start of the user exit, but it does not break in transaction FB60.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use a search help exit in transaction FB60? If it is possible what am I doing wrong?

Hi ,
If you are looking to retrict a specific document type for FB60. You can do so, by customizinng "a/c payable & receivable> Busi Trans > Outgoing invoices/Credit memo>Outgoing invoices/Credit memo enjoy.
Then in Fb60, go to "editing option" and hide the doc type under "Document type option". This will only work if you want to use a specific doc type for FB60.

Search Help Exit for ECC 6.0

Greetings,
I'm working in ECC 6.0. I'm trying to create a Help screen exit using F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE as a model. The problem is that it will not compile due to the fact that a 'LIKE' parameter type is used in the function definition tables tab. This is not allowed in 6.0.
I've tried several work arounds without success. I have search for a 6.0 version of this function without success.
Does anyone have a solution?

Hi Richard,
We too are running ECC 6.0 (release 701) and the LIKE definition doesn't cause a problem in our system. Maybe it has to do with a particular support pack level. Anyway, since you have presumably copied F4IF_SHLP_EXIT_EXAMPLE to a custom function module, you can manually change the typing of the Changing parameter. I tried this below and the search help exit executes as expected.
If this doesn't resolve the issue for you, you may want to repost your question to the ABAP Development community.

               i am creating a search help for one of my inputout field of name Zabc-Formno present in my screen.
If have created a search help ZSH and assigned for that input/output field. Search help is working. My problem is in input/output field when i select a option from search help it is taking, here i want to display the details of the selcted field when i click display so the select statement tht i wrote is -

In place of FORMNO in select statement actually i am having (ZABC-FORMNO) in this case wht i have to do.

In your data element for slno, there should be a parameter id set up. If your parameter id is SLNO.
In the program code prior to your select:
GET PARAMETER ID 'SLNO' FIELD v_slno.
SELECT * FROM ZABC WHERE FORMNO = v_slno.

I have two customised screen fields for these i created search helps through FM F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST.one is type and another one is subtype.If i select a type then corresponding subtypes will be displayed for subtype field.for this iam maintaining a table with these two fields.i have one blank value for subtype.my problem is if select a type, then i go for subtype if i choose a value it's displaying propely.After that if i select a blank value for subtype it's not replacing the value with blank.it's showing previous value.Here iam sending the code too.
