Problem in the Columns Display

Hi all,
I am using sql developer 1.1.0.23. I am facing some weird problem:
1. Execute the following query.
select * from all_objects
where object_name like UPPER('%&object_name%')
and object_type in ('TABLE','VIEW');
2. Fetch the records and note the columns it is showing
3. Now change the view name from all_objects to dba_objects, without any other changes and execute the query
4. Fetch the records and note the columns it is showing. It shows the columns of all_objects and not of the dba_objects.
Can you please check and let me know if this is a bug or its a some specific problem related to my pc.

ALL_OBJECTS and DBA_OBJECTS have the same columns.

When I upload a cvs file not all the column display in the Data / Table Mapping screen

1. I have created application using Apex Data Loading wizard. There when I am trying to load data from .csv file, but not all the columns display in the "Data / Table Mapping" screen. But if I go through AQL --> Utility --> Data Workshop, there all column display in "Data / Table Mapping" page. I want to get same thing in application I created. How will get all columns display in the screen?
2. Is there any way to select target table dynamically during runtime. So that in appication we can select different target tables with different source file to load data.

How to get all the columns displayed in pdf.

If the ALV Display contains 25 columns.When i tried to give the print in PDF format.
in the PDF it is displaying only 10 columns.Can you let me know how to display all the columns (i.e 25) in the pdf.

I have an issue with the reports in Bex, this is a bit confusing scenario I would try to explain in more details. A query was already built for monthly Report in Sales and Billing for which the variable were Calender month/year range 1 (mandatory), range 2 range 3 range 4. These 4 variable were created and moved to column rows in query.
Later the user wanted the copy of same report but he wanted the variables to be Calender date range 1 (mandatory), range 2, range 3 , range 4. I have created them with 0calenderday as reference and moved to the columns.
for the monthly report text variables were already existing for the Calender month/ year, but for the daily report text variable were not existing for Dates. I have created a text variable for the date in the following way processing by
" replacement path" and reference characteristic as 0calday and in the replacement path tab.. in replace variable the selection is info object, the next option Replace with " External charactersitic value key " .
By creating this text variable the dates were being displayed in the colum header like 11/01/2013 - 11/30/2013 which satisfies the requirement.
But the user wanted to see the report same like monthly report when the mandatory variable Calender year/ month is selected, the rest of the columns range 2, range 3, range 4 are displayed as unassigned in the report. but coming back to the daily report when the user is giving the Calender date rage 1, he is finding that Calender date range 2, range 3, range 4 are also being displayed with values. He want to see the Calender date range 2,3,4 as unassigned in the report just like monthly. Please find the images attached.
As Calender month/ year is predefined, if the calender range values are not given it would show up as not assigned default. I have created a separate text variable for Calender day, I believe that could be the reason rest of the columns are not showing up as unassigned. The user want to see them as unassigned like monthly report columns.
I tried different ways changing the text variables but I could not change the display of the columns in Calender date report by the option - replace with ----> External characteristic value key, key, label. when I chose the option external characteristic value then the date was showing up in the text of the column when report is run ( Please find the image for the reference in the attachment ). . I request you to help me out in this. Please find the images of the variables and output below.

Thank you very much for above code I made minor changes to the code that finally worked. I created 4 different text variables needed for Calender date range 1, 2 ,3 ,4. Please find the code below for the text variable that worked in the system

Problem with the icon "Display query on the web" in Query Designer

Hi Friends,
         I was told by my PM to give them all FI Modules standard business contenet reports, so for that reason i have installed all FI business content & loaded the data in the Dev Server, now i just want to show the reports, but i want excute these reports in Internet Explorer using the Icon "Display Query on the WEB" in query designer, when i click on that it isn't getting displayed in the browser.

Balaji,
first check if you have enabled web reporting on your BW server ( there is a how to paper for the same )
another way to check out the same is to find out if there are existing web templates being published which would make the server web ready.
As for FI content - activate the FI relevant areas in Business content and then activate the respective datasources and then load the data.. or go trough the best practices for BW-FI ( service.sap.com/bestpractices) wnd then activate the best practices for the same.

Problems with the video display in iTunes.

I was hooking up my PowerBook G4 to my television, so my sister could watch a television show that I had downloaded, while I worked on some stuff online. I don't know what exactly the term for how I had it connect is, but I had my laptop connected to my televisionn so that when I drag the video box off my laptop screen to the right, it appeared on the television. That was fine until I dragged the box back into my laptop's screen. I made the video display so large that the shrink/enlarge tab on the bottom right corner of the video window is off my screen under my dock bar. I've tried exiting out of iTunes and even restarting my computer but iTunes is keeping the video screen that large and I can't figure out how to shrink it, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pressing F9 and then clicking on iTunes didn't do anything, but I can close iTunes anyways, that isn't the problem. It is just the seperate video display window that is the prblem . As for the other suggestion I cannot right click, so I definatly cannot right click on the window. However if you know of a way I can get it to normal or even original size with out right clicking, that would be helpful.

Problems with the miniport display thunderbolt-HDMI

I have an iMac 3.4 Ghz Intel core i7, the software is Mac OS x 10.6.8 and I have a new TV HD LG 32" (LG 32LS5600- ZC) with 3 HDMI plugs. When I put the mini Display port in the thunderbolt plug behind the MAC and in the HDMI port of the LG tv nothing happens... why? I tried to switch on before the TV and after the Mac... the opposite... and to check in Preferenze del sistema to see if the voice rileva monitor worked... nothing. The HDMI cable works because I am able to see the satellite TV perfectly. The mini port display Kanaan is new, bought on Amazon few weeks ago... The Mac doesn't see the TV monitor which says: nessun segnale whatever I do!

Has Apple resolved the problems with the 23" display?

I want to buy a 23" cinema display but the color problem (pinkish hue) seems to still exist. Has Apple still not resolved this problem?
If this is the case, I'll buy the 20" display which I believe does not have any problems. Can someone confirm this?

There has not been any indication from Apple that any chnages have been made in the displays other than price cuts. There were some minor spec changes (which were "un-announced") but nothing about the panels or the many issues that have been discussed here since the introduction of these units.

A Problem with the Lightbox Display since the update.

I use the lightbox display widget within the featured news widget. Since the update when I add the lightbox to an image it appears on all the featured news tabs when it should only be on the tab I place it in. This didn't happen before the update. Any ideas why this would be or how I can correct it. Strangely, the images with a lightbox made before the update are fine.

I'm unable to reproduce the problem. Can you try re-inserting the Featured News Composition widget on a page and after removing the Text frame (optional step) from the Target of the first tab, insert the Composition: Lightbox Display into the Target of the first tab. Then try switching between the tabs in Design mode and see if the problem persists at your end, also try a preview in browser. The Lightbox Display should appear only for the first tab and other Targets should remain untouched.

About the column display index of datagrid

i need do a customize datagrid, but seems hard to save the
display index of the grid column after the user drag and drop one
column to another postion. What i need is catch the event after
column drag and record that into database, and when reload based on
the record , resort that column display index as saved before, how
to get that

that was i already did before, now even the all columns and
match datafied are dynamic, my question is
when after render all columns , dray a column a from right to
left , after that i can not catch that column display index
in the grid view, the real index in columns of grid is still
remain same , i want catch the dray column event and
get the display index(not the index of columns, but the order
which that column display in the view) and after reload
, i can show those colomns in right order as saved
before

About the column display issue

A column in a table is Varchar(20),I want to display this column on a Reports.
But I have to allow for the follows:
1. If the column's lengthy < 10 Then only display in one line.
2. If the column's lengthy > 10 Then display in Two lines.
How to do?

Try this
Set the field displaying this value as vertically variable and horizontally fixed. And ensure that the length of the field is good enough to display 10 characters.

Problems with the images displaying incorrectly

I have done a couple of installs before this of the new Apex 4 deployed on weblogic 10.3.3 with no problems but this one has "stuck a spanner in the works". I have also looked through the forums and was unable to find a solution to the problem I am seeing. I am about to start an SR if no one is able to help on the forums.
This is my problem;
I am able to view the individual images in the images directory via the http for e.g. http://hostname.domain:7001/apex/i/date.gif and this displays correctly.
I am not able to view the http://hostname.domain:7001/apex/f?p=4550:1:2874725903020187 images as they are not displaying.
In the troubleshooting section of the install guide it mentions;
A.4 Images Displaying Incorrectly in Oracle Application Express
If images in Oracle Application Express do not display correctly, you may have more than one definition of the /i/ alias. To address this issue:
If possible, rename the first instance of /i/ to a different alias name.
Alternatively, copy the images from the ORACLE_HOME\apex\images directory to the directory defined by the first /i/ alias.
** Firstly how do I "rename the first instance of /i/" (how do I find this out?)

"http://hostname.domain:7001/i/date.gif"So /i/ should be in server root.
Sorry , I'm not familiar Apex Listener and those servers you can use with it.

Problem with the ALV display

while executing my ALV report i had got this error message.
You attempted to access an unassigned field symbol
(data segment "-1").
This error may occur if
- You address a typed field symbol before it has been set with
   ASSIGN
- You address a field symbol that pointed to the line of an
   internal table that was deleted
- You address a field symbol that was previously reset using
   UNASSIGN or that pointed to a local field that no
   longer exists
- You address a global function interface, although the
   respective function module is not active - that is, is
   not in the list of active calls. The list of active calls
   can be taken from this short dump.

Having Problems Using the MSI Display Settings in Vista 32bit

Whenever I try to install the latest Nvidia driver for my video card which is a NX8600GTS OC I can't find the Display setting for my VGA information,VGA Clock, Vivid,Star OSD, etc. It seems that this video card isn't fully compatible with Windows Vista. In the Dual Core Center only certain applications work. Could someone please help? I have a Intel Duo Core E6600 2.4GHz. processor. I think everything is connected correctly. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit. Thank you in advance for any help.

Thank you'll for that great advice. You'll are no doubt computer gurus. I've heard of RivaTuner and the other programs you mentioned but I get a little lost in trying to use them to set the fan speed etc. thats why I was relying on the MSI utilities program to guide me because I do know that if I set something wrong as far as the clock speed what have you I can do irreversible damage to my computer. If I could ask you'll one other question. When performing a clean install of my OS after installing the chipset driver to computer's motherboard then it would be best to do what? Install the MSI driver for the video card and then download the latest driver from Nvidia over the one that I installed with the MSI? Thats what I understood you'll to say.

Problem Getting the Column name in the BPEL Problem.

I have created one Variable Assume the name Nptf. I want to get the name of the Variable and Store it in another variable. Is there any possibility to do that.
