Problem in Using webdynpro Button outside Interactive Form

Hi Experts,
I am using the WebDynpro SUBMIT button Outside the interactiveForm
My question infact was, that I want to use the WebDynpro native button and place it outside the form.
I have written the code in the onActionSubmit() of this button to bind data to a table by using subforms in interactive forms.
My problem is the data is not getting displayed at output,but when i print the size of the node the node is getting binded with data i.e the node size is not equal to Zero.what might be the problem.Please help with a reply .
Any kinds of tips are appreciaed.

The cardinality of the datasource is 1:1 ,and the data is present and binded to the table node,i have traced it using MessageManager.
I am doing this in NW2004s.
I have also done it in NW2004,there i could able to display multiple rows,but what is the problem if iam doing in 2004s.
Will you please help me further regarding this issue.
Can you also please explain why to debug the application.

Hi,
Try doing the following
try using the simple 'Button'. In the button's object properties, in the tab named 'field', select 'Control Type: submit'.
Then, in the 'submit' tab in the object properties, choose PDF in the 'submit format' dropdown field.
In the 'submit to URL field' type:
mailto:nameataddress.com?subject=mySubject&body=Done
You may need to adjust the e-mail address, subject and body text.

I have developed one application for Online intractive form.I have created one text box and one submit button in Intractive
Form.I created a Action method Submit.I have bound the onActionSubmit() method to onSubmit Event of Intractive Form.
For testing i am putting some value in text box and Clicking Submit button.I have set the debugger in onActionSubmit()

One Value Node DataSource (Cardinality 1..1) is binded into dataSource Property.And pdfSource property is binded to one value
attribute of binary Type.
I have done one application where i am getting data from R/3 System and displaying in PDF ,It is working fine.
I got below error in Log File for the above two applications.But geting the data from R/3 and displaying in PDF is working

Webdynpro and adobe interactive form

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where i have to develop an interactive adobe form using webdynpro.
In the layout of a view , i created an element of type "Interactive form" and do the necessary setting.
In the properties of "Interactive form" i have "ENABLED" field, once i uncheck it and execute the application, i get the PDF but non editable mode.
Once i check this field "ENABLED" , i am not getting PDF,I only get a CROSS button on executing the application.
Can any one please help me to solve this problem.

Hi,
By default always Use 'ZCI' Layout as form layout and Choose Display type as 'native' in Interactive Form UI properties when you design and develop interactive forms using webdynpro abap.
If form layout is 'xACF', then choose Display type as 'activeX' in interactive form UI properties.
If the form is designed using xACF layout then you can run the report "FP_ZCI_UPDATE" by entering form name and choosing update radio button. This will add some script to your form that is required for using native controls.

WebDynpro with Adobe Interactive Forms

Hello Experts,
We use Java Webdynpro with Adobe Interactive forms. We have 2 local development components. In the first development component we create a PDF and mail that PDF to client. De mode we used for PDF creation in 'UpdateDataInPdf'.
The client fills out the PDF and send it back to office by mail.
The second development components reads the mailbox and displays the PDF. The mode for this PDF display is 'UsePDF'. We use a PDF utility to transfer the data from PDF to the context. We can change the data in the PDF but is not reflected in the context. How can I fix this.

Can I use "Delete button" in intaractive form?

Hello Expert.
Please tell me the phenomenon of interactive form in Performance Management(MbO or OSA) .
I use "off line" solution.
Now our customer would like to delete button as delete some objectives who does not entry any comment.
Can I use this delete button in interactive form?
I cannot find the delete button in this form...

You should try the LiveCycle Designer forum, but from my experience with Acrobat forms it's not possible. What you can do is either save the file using the desired file name and path (without user interaction), if the script runs from a trusted context, or you can prompt the user with the desired file-name for the file, but not enforce them to use it, nor populate it into the Save As dialog itself.

I found a adobe documentation that says that If you want to disable some toolbar buttons, you will have to use application-level Javascript. Looks like it is not possible from ADLC
Place the following Javascript code inside a .js file in

WebDynpro ActiveX Button in Interactive form- not working in IE

Hi,
1) I am working with Interactive forms in WebDynpro. When I deploy the application, the PDF form is opens in a browser window, But the WebDynpro ActiveX button ( to call a method in view Controller) is not working.
When I copy the URL and try in another sysetm, its working.
I hope the probelem is with the browser settings.
2) And also, the 'https' URLs does not work properly in my IE.
Can you give me a solution for these problems?

I doubt this is anything to do with the browser. Please let me know if you have already installed SAP Active Control Framework on your desktop.
I think this might be an issue. Also check for Adobe Reader version in both the machine.

please let me know the use of "<b>pdfSource</b>" property while designing the Interactive form in webdynpro. i tried with and without creating the pdfSource property in my application and still there were no errors while deploying it.

Hello Poojith M V,
Let me answer your query in a little bit more details. The statement first: An interactive form can be rendered with or without a pdfSource attribute.
But there are significant differences in the way they work and the application is designed. When you have the pdfSource bound to a context attribute of type binary, you do a PDF interchange between the browser and the server. The whole point is that you will always have the latest PDF document (binary) available in that context attribute on the server and you can make use of this binary PDF to do anything your apllication requires (saving it onto the file system, storing it into the database, performing some other operations on the server, email it etc etc etc).
Now, the other side of it, when you do not have the pdfSource bound to a context attribute, only XML exchange happens in between the browser and the server. Well, that means you only have the latest XML data available on the server at any point in time and since you have not bound the pdfSource, you do not have the binary PDF available to you through the context. There are ways you can get it but not through the context and not the latest one. It would still contain the initial data it had in the first request response cycle as you have not updated the PDF after that.
Now, the question is, which one to use ? It completly depends on your application requirements. There are certain functionalities which are not possible without having the latest PDF binary in hand. For example, you want to apply a digital signature on the document, you want to add an attachment on the document etc. But, then in most of the scenarios, the application would just need to exchange data between the client and the server (and vice versa) and do not worry about the binary PDF. That is the ideal case when you need not bind the pdfSource. It will be faster as well.
Hope that clarifies your doubt to certain extent. Go ahead and start with you interactive form application.

Problem with saving duplicated tables in interactive form

I have an interactive form that contain a table with a row that contain "insert remove move " object .
when i press the add button, it duplicate the table, but if i save the PDF and then open it again, the extra table does not appear,
it seems like it never been save.
do you knoe what is the problem? why the tables are not saved properly?

how many submit buttons could be placed in interactive form.i would crate one simple calculator in adobe form using webdynpro. in this i would be placed 4 buttons i.e, (add,sub,mul,div). is it possible.explain some processing steps.

In Interactive Form ,you can place as much submit buttons as you want.
You are creating a simple calculator in adobe...Right..?
For this purpose ,
1. In Adobe Interactive Form, Go to WebDynproActiveX field and from this ,select 4 submit buttons in sequence
2.In Caption property label them as Add, Sub, Mul & Div respectively.

I have created one WD ABAP interactive form using one BAPI. I have placed one Submit button on the form which is of type (webdynpro native). And i have defined on action in WD. But when I click on submit button the action is not trigerring. I tried even with Webdynpro Active x type but still no use.
How can I link the button in form to action?

Ravi,
There is onSubmit event in Web Dynpro where you can create your own method for data processing.
If you have set displayType as native then you should be using Submit button from WD Native Library in Designer.
Once you place the button on the form, check if following script is present in the click event of button in Script editor of Designer or not.

I have the request to implement this functionality also and can not find the browse../upload functionality in Adobe Designer.
I'm using NWDS 7.0.09, adobe designer 7.0.
As alternative I can make a checkbox in the Interactive Form with value "Want to upload?" > if checked after submit > fire plug to uploadView.
Does anyone know if there is a way to do this directly in the Adobe Designer?

Filter problem in apex 4.0 simple interactive form application

I am using apex 4.0, in the interactive form, under the action button, select filter, filter type is column, has 3 drop downs
