Problem on building a web service

I am playing with a sample provided by Oracle regarding how to develop a web service from WSDL document. When I run the ant, I am getting the following error:
D:\work\localdev\OracleASPOC\topdown>ant
Buildfile: build.xml

. It could not be found.

BUILD FAILED
D:\work\localdev\OracleASPOC\topdown\build.xml:156: Could not create task or type of type:
antlib:oracle:genInterface.
Ant could not find the task or a class this task relies upon.
This is common and has a number of causes; the usual
solutions are to read the manual pages then download and
install needed JAR files, or fix the build file:
- You have misspelt 'antlib:oracle:genInterface'.
Fix: check your spelling.
- The task needs an external JAR file to execute
and this is not found at the right place in the classpath.
Fix: check the documentation for dependencies.
Fix: declare the task.
- The task is an Ant optional task and the JAR file and/or libraries
implementing the functionality were not found at the time you
yourself built your installation of Ant from the Ant sources.
Fix: Look in the ANT_HOME/lib for the 'ant-' JAR corresponding to the
task and make sure it contains more than merely a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF.
If all it contains is the manifest, then rebuild Ant with the needed
libraries present in ${ant.home}/lib/optional/ , or alternatively,
download a pre-built release version from apache.org
- The build file was written for a later version of Ant
Fix: upgrade to at least the latest release version of Ant
- The task is not an Ant core or optional task
and needs to be declared using <taskdef>.
- You are attempting to use a task defined using
<presetdef> or <macrodef> but have spelt wrong or not
defined it at the point of use
Remember that for JAR files to be visible to Ant tasks implemented
in ANT_HOME/lib, the files must be in the same directory or on the
classpath
Please neither file bug reports on this problem, nor email the
Ant mailing lists, until all of these causes have been explored,
as this is not an Ant bug.

Any idea? BTW, I have oracle AS 10.1.3 installed.
Thanks,
Jason

This issue apparently were caused by wrong ant-oracle.properties and ant-oracle.xml(coming with sample) were copied in the same directory as the build.xml in the sample. Once I copied the two files coming with my oracleAS installation, the issue was resolved.

  • A problem with building a web service with netbeans

always a problem occurs when i try to build a web service server side.
build is perfect .but when i said run the project there is an error occurs:
"Deployment error:null. See the server log file for details."
error link goes me to this row in the build-impl.xml file of the project:
    <nbdeploy forceRedeploy="${forceRedeploy}" clientUrlPart="${client.urlPart}" debugmode="false"/>
i am waiting for your help.

Being a total novice on the https/SSL configuration side of things, I've finally managed to dig down to the fact that our external partner of course needs to have a certificate installed in order to run https.
I guess the browser did not prompt and ask for acceptance of this, because it was already verified through one of the standard issuers - VeriSign.
So was then able to export the certificate through IE's Properties>Certificate>Details>Copy To File...
Will then try to import this into the correct domain on the WebLogic server.
(A quick test of the web service from the EM console worked fine. Strange then that executing the service through a partner link in bpel does not work, but I guess it may have to do with a local bpel being exposed as a web service in itself, and that security on both sides is called for... maybe... :-) )

i get the problem is that i have not set the classpath, but i need to now what builds the web service application or the directory which has the tool.

If you want to create web service in java then you can use Apache Soap or Weblogic web services using EJBs.

  • Problem when defining a web service

    Hello,
I have defined several BAPI that I am calling from an external application by exopsing those BAPI using the SOAP adaptor.
All goes well for all of them except one.
For the one having problems the Integrantion engine is routing that call to different webservice than the one I expect it to do it,
these are some of the paramenters I use when defining the web service in the Integration Builder:
    Interface name: MI_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    Communitcation chanel: CC_SOAP_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
    Address: http://sapxi:50000/xisoapadapter/messageservlet?channel=:BS_WEBSERVICE_GREYCON:CC_SOAP_BAPI_PPMSRVAPS_GETLIST
but instead when I test the generated wsdl using soapUI: the integration engine returns this error:
    Canceled with Errors 02.06.2010 15:04:22 02.06.2010 15:04:23   [websericename]     [namespace]MI_BAPI_PDSSRVAPS_GETLIST
My guess is that at some point I defined wrong the web service but I have no way to redefine it or revert how it was defined.
I redefined the webservice with correct parameters, but there is no change in behaviour.
I checked server address and port (it is the exact same of the other BAPIs that work)
Where can I see all defined web services when they are defined via the Integration builder define web service option?
How to delete a webservice published this way?
    Any advise?
Any help is very much appreciated.

    Hello there.
    Error: 404 Not Found
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
u2022 404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs. Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
u2022 Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
u2022 If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
u2022 If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination.
Try some of the recommendations that most apply to your case.
    Hope it helps!

i am using application server 9 and jwsdp2.0 to start building web services but i am finding difficuilties to start. i read the documentation but could not deploy the example web services. Is there any tutorial so that i can write a simple web service and deploy it in the application service right from the scratch.

    Geoffrey,
Internal Server Error could mean many things. Sometimes just restarting the listner too quickly would cause this error. To make sure that is not the problem. Check the following.
    1) Stop the listener, wait 20 seconds. then restart, do you get the same error?
2)Apache also gets this error if you have misconfigured either the jserv.properties or the zone.properties. Make sure that you have included the myfirstportlet.jar in jserv.prooereties and it points to the correct location. Also make sure that the location specified in the zone.properties actually points to your NEW provider.xml.
    3) Look in jserv.log and mod_jserv.log within Apache\Jserv\logs. Do you have any error messages?
    4) Can you call http://host.domain/servlet/IsItWorking
This is a sample servlet that comes with Jserv. If this works, then Jserv is working and something is specifically wrong with myfirstportlet. If this sample does not work, then you have misconfigured something in the files and all of Jserv is not working.
    Hope this helps,
    Sue

  • How to include the NIWebAppServer.conf when building a web service installer in LV2010

    Hi all,
I'm build a LabVIEW 2010 web service and creates a deployable setup installation as described in Web Services FAQ:
    http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7747#toc12
but also would like to include my .conf file for the NI Application Web Server. The file is located in:
    C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\NI WebServer\NIWebAppServer.conf
This is where all settings (listening ports, SSL, users etc.) are configured.
If I look in LabVIEW 2009 build instructions for web services:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/62B9C2D5C91EE8B28625778800609FF2?OpenDocument
they include this file, but it is a new procedure in LV2010 (as seen in the top link) and I can't seem to get this conf file included and installed on the deployed system automatically for LV2010. Today, I must copy it manually.
Any ideas of how to do this?
    Thanks,
    Mattias

Having the same problem, even if pointing the installer to install the particular file, the installer will install its own some default file. Did you find any solution?

  • Flash builder 4 - web services error

    good day,
I'm trying out flash builder 4 beta connect to a simple web service I've created (gsoap calc example).  using the connect data/service

available but when I click finish I get a terse unresolved model error message any suggestions thanks in advance.  The web service is runs
on the local host so I don't think its a cross domain issue

  • Problem with 10.13 web services tutorial

I have just tried to complete the following oracle tutorial Developing, Deploying and Managing Web Services Using JDeveloper and Oracle Application Server that is available here http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe1013jdev/ws/wsandascontrol.htm.
I have successfully completed the first 10 steps without any problems and the class compiles, but when I reach step 5 of the second section entitled Creating a Web Service on the Java Class I can not progress any further.
    Step 5 states:
On the methods page of the wizard, select the check boxes next to both methods from teh available methods and click finish.I can not do this because both of the check boxes are greyed out and not active. The only thing I can select is the why not? button. Upon pressing this I get the following message The class datapackage.GetDates contains compilation errors which means the validity of the methods could not be determined .
I can not understand why I am getting this message as I have followed the tutorial through up until this point exactly.
    I am using JDeveloper 10.1.3.0.4 (SU4) Build JDEVADF_10.1.3_NT_060125.0900.3673
A colleague of mine has also tried to complete the tutorial and is having the same problem as me.
I'd appreciate your thoughts and suggestions in fixing this problem.
    Thanks in advance

  • Problem requesting WSDL from web service.

    Hello,
I am rather new to creating web services, but I have been writing software for some time now. Please be gentle.
I am writing a webservice "document first". I have a schema and an WSDL that were already written. I generated the code for a server from the WSDL and then wrote an implementing class from the interface it generated. All of my actual code compiles successfully and unit tests okay.
I then looked at one of the examples included with JAX-WS to find out how to create the war to deploy to an application server (I am using Tomcat 5.5). After modifying the web.xml, build.xml, and sun-jaxws.xml files to work with my project structure I built and deployed the webservice.
My problem is tomcat shows it is running, but when ever I try to point my client where I think the WSDL should be the "resource insn't available" I tried curl and just browsing there as well. What is the URI to retrieve the WSDL?
Thanks for all your help in advance.

    Hi,
I'm also new to web services. I created a hello world web service in MyEclipse using the wizard. How I pointed to the WSDL was by typing the following:

  • Problems connecting to php web service

    Hello
I am pretty raw when it comes to using web services. I am facing a bit of a problem.
I have been given a url to a web service. http://41.208.61.35/legacyfallback/ws/legacyLifeWS.php?wsdl
I am trying to connect using cfinvoke:

    <cfoutput>#result.test#</cfoutput>
I keep getting the following error:
Cannot generate stub objects for web service invocation.
Name: http://41.208.61.35/legacyfallback/ws/legacyLifeWS.php?wsdl. It is recommended that you use a web browser to retrieve and examine the requested WSDL document to ensure it is correct. If the requested WSDL document cannot be retrieved or is dynamically generated, it is likely that the target web service has programming errors.
Please can someone assist me in getting around this.
Have a look at the service url if you need to.
Ive been at it all day and im ready to pull my hair out!

Does anyone encounter with problem ? and does the DataHandler is the right object to use for attachment (i want to avoid using base-64 String)?

  • Problems while invoking a web service

    Hi everybody,
I need to call a web service and treat its response data. So I'm using OdiInvokeWebService tool, and trying to export the response to an xml file, in order to be able to treat the information. The question is that I just can't get the response, because the response file is empty after doing the call. If I try with the "advanced" option of the tool, the result is the same, doesn't matter which mode of request (xml request or xml file request) I use. But I'm even more worried considering that the process works properly when I use a tool like soapUI, that means, I get a result when I call the web service with this tool. It looks very strange because I used ODI previously with the same goal, and I didn't have any problem working in the same way. So, could somebody help me with this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Hibai.

    > The problem is, when my application running in Netweaver tries to consume the webservice, it takes the external access to try to reach the webservice URL instead of take the VPN route to do that. ie. my application find an external IP of the webservice instead of finding the internal IP.
    You're using a proxy?

  • Problem with accessing a web service from outside world

    Hello SAP experts
I have a custom BAPI for which I have created a webservice.
If I login as an admin to the BOX where I have installed this SAP server and open an internet explorer window and give the URL, I can access the web service without any problem. This is just a simple BAPI that searches for some data from a table based.
However, when I give the same URL from a different PC, it can open the web service and in the fields if I give the data and click on send button, it fails with an error '500 Internal Server Error '.
I looked for the details of this error on internet and it says that this is some general error and solutions that it suggested doesn't help my scenario.
Has anyone seen this problem before? Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Tks
    Ram

i have tried the stack trace in the catch but as i said on the statement where i made the object for the service the program just exits. it didn't return any exception or any output.
thanx for refering me any answer.......
