Problem setting up Apps

When I try to download an app it won't accept the password I created when setting up my Apple ID. I've been back into my account and re-confirmed my password but still it won't accept it. Any ideas??

You can try this first. Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap on your email address/Apple ID and sign out. Then tap sign in and enter the email address and password again.
Make sure that you are using the correct ID that is associated with the password as well.
The other thing to check is make sure that you do not restrictions enabled for downloading apps. Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and see if you have restrictions turned on and if you have it set to not allow apps to be downloaded. I assume this would not be the case if you can access the App Store, but I do not use restrictions so I am not positive as to how the feature works.

    It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.

    Hey everyone,
    Having a few problems setting up mail to exchange on a Nokia 5800.
    We have the latest version of Mail to Exchange installed.
    Were using Microsoft Exchange 2007.
    Example serup of what we have done:
    Mail to exchange - New profile - Input Username and Password of domain account - Input domain name - Chose Internet as means of connection -
    The Nokia goes off and searches for the domain information, finds it OK. Shows a message regarding a server certificate, we chose to install this certificate this time only.
    Phone crashes?
    Any ideas whats going on?

    Depending on the customer feedback, it works fine. Apple Mail the client that comes with OSX supports standard protocols (POP3, IMAP, SMTP), these are all supported by Exchange 2010. 
    If you're running Mac OS 10.4 Tiger or Mac OS 10.5 Leopard, you can still use the Mac Mail App to connect to your account. However, you need to connect to your account without using IMAP or POP.
    If you're running Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS 10.7 Lion, you can use the Mail program included with those releases to connect to your email account automatically using an Exchange account.
    When you use Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS 10.7 Lion and connect using an Exchange account, you can use features that aren't available to users who connect through IMAP or POP, including iCal and Address Book.

    I am trying to call a stored procedure using Oracle Apps Adapter . MY JCA settings are as following.

    all the information i have is contained in one line. Set up app tabs close fire fox and then reopen. i do nothing between these 2 tasks. Did this 5 times and it still does not work

    You can check for problems with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder that store session data.
    Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

    I am having problems setting up my ntlworld email on my new ipad 2. It works ok on my iphone 3. Trying to use the same settings as my iphone but its not setting up.

    1. Turn on Settings > Airplane Mode.

    Have you considered the possibility that the third party fan software might itself be implicated in the issue, theosib (or perhaps something else introduced at about that time?).
    My inclination in a situation like this would be to back up your drive to an external, wipe the drive, and do a clean installation. At the very least I'd try an archive and install.
    Do you have plenty of free space on the drive? Once you get things down below the last 10 to 20% things can get hairy at times, and may not be fixed as a result of simply freeing up some room, as free space fragmentation is likely to have set in.
    As far as RAM goes, either "Rember" - http://www.kelleycomputing.net:16080/rember/ or, better still, but less user friendly, "memtest" - http://www.memtestosx.org/ does a much better job of checking your RAM than the AHT. Still takes a while to run for a thorough test, but much quicker than the approach you are planning on using.
    You might also want to use "Activity Monitor" to check for any applications with progressive "memory leaks" or that are acting as CPU hogs, given your symptoms

  • Problem buying new apps on app store.

    The original Apple ID I've had since I set up my phone expired a few months ago as the email it was linked to was disabled when I left University.
    Consequently I created a new Apple ID which works for iTunes and I can purchase songs but I am having problems with the app store.
    Everytime I want to purchase an app it only gives me the option to enter my password to my old account (WHICH ISNT WORKING!!!)
    It doensn't make sense I am am definately logged in through my new Apple ID both in iTunes and also in the app store. I even checked my settings and then "store" and I am definately signed in under my new ID.
    Please help as I really need to update my Whatsap...this is driving me crazy!!

    Apps are linked to the Apple ID they were purchased with.  Even if an old email used as an Apple ID goes stale, it doesn't mean the Apple ID is no longer valid.  When an app purchased with the old Apple ID needs updated, you need to be logged in with that ID.
    Rather than creating a new Apple ID (making it so you have purchases under multple Apple IDs), a better way is to NOT create a new Apple ID, but rename the old one to the new valid email address.
    How to change the name you use for your Apple ID
    That way all your purchases stay with the same account and you avoid the multiple Apple ID mess.
    (note that doesn't work for .mac or .me emails).
    If you don't have many purchases on the new Apple ID, it might not be too late to rename the old one to the new name, but first you would need to rename the new one to some other (unused?) email so you free up the new name (email).  Once the old email Apple ID is renamed to the new valid email you should be set. Then "forget about" the new one you just created.
    Does that make sense?

  • [ PROBLEM ] Audio Control app wont recognise card properly

    I have a X-Fi ExtremeGamer card in my Win 7 home premium setup and am struggling to set it up properly.
    Long story short , I pulled out the X-Fi card and tried the onboard audio as I was getting an issue with the audio playing around using the creative drivers ( volume changes mid song, positional audio in games was often unusal ).
    The Realtek stuff wasnt too bad but I wanted to try my X-Fi card again, it is suppose to be better after all.
    Anyways...
    I disabled the onboard audio , safe mode and cleaned all the realtek drivers out and any lingering creative drivers with Driver Sweeper, used CCleaner to clean up the reg and rebooted.
    Installed the BETA drivers from creative and the audio works fine, but when I try use the crystaliser or other SB features the app complains
    " The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit. "
    I installed Daniel_K's drivers from a CD ISO he put out a while back, and the applications worked fine but the audio dropped in and out, so I downloaded the official creative drivers for my card and OS, and the application worked fine again but as with Daniels drivers the audio dropped in and out so I reverted to the beta drivers... and the audio dropped in and out as well.
    I worked it out to being the volume controls on the creative 5. speakers , which every set of speakers I have bought from creative have had the same issue, the volume slider on the cable... after some use it messes up the audio and it becomes safer just to adjust the volume in the software.
    After deciding the issue was with the volume slider on the cable, I wanted to re-install Daniel_K's driver pack so I could access the other features, now it suddenly doesnt recognise the device anymore, nore does the official none beta drivers from creative, nor does the latest PAX drivers ... all report the same issue:
    " The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit. "?
    I am starting to tear my hair out here, the audio works and the card is recognised in the Device Manager as 'Creative SB X-Fi' , I have clean the drivers , the registery , used the patch that fixes a bug where the update wouldnt recognise cards properly , re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re installed the drivers.... carefully EACH time.
    I triple checked I was downloading the Win 7 64bit OS ver of the X-Fi ExtremeGamer drivers.
    What now ?
    ALSO Who thought it was a bright idea to put up the volume to 87% when you install drivers ? It also unmutes the volume if you mute it before restart, and it puts the volume back up to 87% if you dare to lower the volume before rebooting the PC to complete the install.
    ( NOTE: It only does this after the initial reboot to complete the install, subsequent re-boots leaves the volume alone )

    I give up...
    I sent a form to the tech guys , detailing the problem and outlining the steps I took to fix the issue...and they direct me to http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowA...aspx?sid=55438?, oh I can use Device Manager to uninstall , oh and Control Panel - Programs to unistall the Creative stuff ( note: I am being very sarcastic here ).

    Detailed Problem Description:
    Creative audio application does not recognise SB X-Fi card , card audio functions just cant control the feature set. Error msg : " The audio device supported by this application is not detected. The application will exit. " Suspect nVidia installing of HD audio drivers causing 4 (four) additional High Definition Audio Devices to appear in the device manager screen. Unable to uninstall these devices as Win7 auto re-reinstalls with generic MS drivers, can only disable. Creative SB X-Fi card listed in audio devices as 2 - SB X-Fi. Suspect the audio control application looks in the first slot and doesnt recognise the device and fails, doesnt look at the 2 ( second slot ? ) Tried a full uninstall including going to safe mode and removing drivers with Driver Sweeper, CCLeaner to clear out registry entries and removed the card, booted to windows without the card , re-seated the card and re-installed the drivers.   • Problem setting up Gmail on KIN TWOm

    Very happy with my KIN TWOm - got my Zune setup, go to set up my Hotmail, perfect...but they I try to set up Gmail and it says "Not Set Up - There was a problem setting up your account.  Try again later".  When I call Verizon they tell me, "You must be typing in the wrong email or the wrong password."  It's been the same email for the last 5 years and I check it everyday - I think I've got it down.  When I kept complaining, they sent me to ADVANCED TECH SUPPORT were I was told to pull the battery out and restart the phone...when that did nothing I was told to change my Gmail password.  I wasn't surprised when that didn't work.  After all this I was told I should contact Gmail because it sounds like a problem on their end.  Here's the issue; they didn't make the phone, why would they know how to help?  The KIN website is no more - no help to be found with Sharp or Microsoft, so I guess this is my last chance - Anyone had the same issue, if so how can I fix it?

    You should not need to enable IMAP/POP to use your gmail account w/ the Kin. I personally use gmail, so it is the only email service i can verify works fine with the Kin email app. First, make sure you have an internet connection. That can be wifi, or the 3g network (i would suggest wifi; block 3G is my advice). Once you are sure you have a connection (try connecting to a few pages in the browser; don't rely on the little 3G icon), click on the email app icon, then click the Gmail icon. It will ask for 3 options: a name (i'm not sure if this has to match your email account's name, character for character; but i know mine does, so you might as well enter it as the same name as the one under your gmail account just in case),  the email address (including @gmail.com), and your password, which is case-sensitive, has to include all the symbols/numbers, etc.
    It should be as easy as that. The only problem i can see occurring is if your phone isn't actually connected to a wifi connection and has no connection to the internet, or if it does matter that the name you enter has to match the email account's name, but i don't understand why it would have to match, but then again it wouldn't be the first time Microsoft did something unexplainably weird.

    I'm having problems setting up iMessage on my iPod Touch.  I have several iphones and they all were configured out problems.  But I'm having difficulty getting this to work on an iPod touch.
    The iPod touch has been upgraded to the latest iOS 5.01 from  iOS 5.0 and I still have problems...
    I have a valid iCloud account
    iCloud is setup and working fine on this iPod touch
    I've shut-down and restarted the iPod touch
    I've done a hard-reset
    Wifi is setup properly...
    Here's the issue:
    I open iMessage (either through the Messages app, or via Settings/Messages
    I'm asked to enter the Apple ID.  So I enter my Apple ID and password
    I click "Sign In"
    The app moves to the next screen - "People will message you using your email address.  What email address would you like to use?".  I enter the same gmail address I'm using for my Apple ID
    I click the Next button and it scrolls back to the original "Enter Apple ID" sign in screen in Step#2.   No error message appears.
    So I don't really know what to try next..

    OK - solved my own issue finally.
    The answer was buried in another thread within a reply from user fdm1979.
    The time on this particular iPod was wrong...just flip the Date/Time to "Set Automatically", and then suddently imessage and FaceTime started working.

    I am finding it difficult to transfer a set of apps to my imac from my mac book pro, when i go into my imac i see them on the "list" but I dont see any way to download or sync those selected new apps I just purchase.    I do see the apps that i have purchased on my imac on the same list.   I had no problem syncing them to my iphone..Help ?

    There's no need to transfer apps from one Mac to another.
    Launch the App Store on the iMac and sign in using the same Apple ID and password used for downloading the apps on the MBPro.
    Then click Purchases from the menu top of the App Store window.
    By the way. Apps that run on an iPhone (iOS based device) cannot run on a Mac = Mac OS X. Two different operating systems.

  • If you have problems with Apple Apps after installing Mavericks

    I had a problem with Apple Apps after installing Mavericks. They would bounce in the dock but never open.  The problem apps I had trouble with were CALENDAR, MAIL, and even APP STORE.   I am guessing it has to do with permissions when setting up via iCloud.  Here's what I did to make my apps work again after the update:
    Restart computer, then immediately hold down OPTION so you can start from the 10.9 RECOVERY DISK.
    Run DISK UTILITY, then run REPAIR DISK, then run REPAIR DISK PERMISIONS.
    After this, RESTART, then hold COMMAND OPTION P R at the same time until your computer restarts three times.
    After it boots up, the apps began working like they should have.

    Problems with n97 apps connecting to network (Vodafone UK – 3G)
    Recently a number of my apps which used to connect automatically to the internet (which ever was available – known wi-fi or 3g) have stopped doing this.  They now only connect to one known wi-fi.
    I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling each app, but this hasn’t solved the problem.  I’ve checked for software updates and do not believe any have been applied or are available.  All apps have been downloaded via Ovi on the phone.  I still am able to access the internet by the web browser which was installed on the phone and via google maps (which also still manages GPS position, search, etc).
    The apps which I notice causing a problem are:
    Sainsbury’s/nectar
    Tesco
    Map my tracks
    Snaptu
    Opera Mini
    Any one got any ideas???

    I have the same problem since i updated my mac to 10.5.6.
    Each time I have to do a diagnostic and retype the WEP password to have the internet connection.
