I used Crystal Reports 8.5 and I have a field with this text " grupoCGM_12 = CGM 12 Kv Esta modificado = true......" and in the Crystal I view ok, but when I call from my program the format not change and I see none formating.
I call the report like this: "report.PrintToPrinter (1, false, 0, 0);" with crystal viewer in visual studio 2005.

This is the list of supported HTML tags from the Crystal Help file.
Text interpretation
Use this list to select the type of pre-formatted data (string or memo fields only) or text you are inserting in a field. Crystal Reports extracts information about the font, size, style, color, and paragraph and displays the data or text with the specified attributes.
Your choices are:
"none" to interpret the string or memo field or imported text as if it contains plain text.
"RTF Text" to interpret the string or memo field or imported text as if it contains Rich Text Format data.
"HTML Text" to interpret the string or memo field or imported text as if it contains HTML data.
The supported HTML tags are:

tr (causes only a paragraph break; does not preserve column structure of a table)
span

p (causes a paragraph break)

For the text interpretation in html mode for the newest version of Crystal Reports (Crystal Reports 2008 (v12)) what html elements are supported?
There is a url that states the limitations of version 9.0, but hasn't been updated since 2004 (link below)

It's unfortunate that the anchor tag is not supported. Might it be possible to use a Replace() function to change the html formatting into crystal report readable formatting? What do the crystal report tags look like? What strings need reformatting?
Side issue:
There was also another site stating that if a system registry variable was changed (EncodeHTMLForSingleLineFieldObjects) that the html encoding would be read. The site said that some html didn't get converted because of security reasons, and that changing a system variable would solve this problem. Is this true? I wasn't able to find this variable in the Crystal Reports directory.

This has been an iisue for years, in that Crystal HTML interpretor is very poor.
The only way I solved this 4 years ago was to use a proprietry DLL to convert HTML to RTF, and then used Milletsoftware Visual cut to bring the RTF doc into Crystal and then use Crystal RTF interpretor which is a lot better.
Don't ask me how as its too long ago and I prefer not to remember
Very convoluted but worked as we were only producing a single banking letter for individual customers. Hate to think what would happen if you needed to process a lot of records.

Mine does it to iPhones not using iOS 6 as well. It also sometimes says that text messages haven't been sent though sometimes they have been. So people get them in duplicate

Crystal HTML Text Interpretation

I have this information saved in my SQL database field varchar(max):
This should be underline 
 
This should be bold 
 
This should be Italics
When I add the field to Crystal and set the Text Interpretation to HTML. Crystal is ignoring the HTML Tags. The report is printing like this:
This should be underlineThis should be boldThis should be Italics
Its ignoring underline, bold, italic and tag. I know crystal is limited to HTML tag interpration but I thought these tags are between the guidelines.
Am I doing something wrong?

With the Apple iMessage app, You can only Message with other iOS users - iPads, iPod Touch, iPhone users and Macs running Mountain Lion or higher. With your iPhone, you can send standard SMS text messages to any phone, including Android phones.
The iPad cannot send SMS messages or receive them either.

Problem: text fade in/out in swf-file not working correctly

Hello to all,
this is my first post.
I work in a printing company and we want to administrate now our website by our own and
we have bought now Dreamweaver CS4 and Flash CS4 for Mac. My Flash skill-level is "Beginner",
but I am OK with simple tweenings, using symbols and that.
I have done an advertisment banner for the home, 550x290 px, background-pictures
and headlines fading in and out, later until the end there are three subheadlines for pricing details.
The published swf-file works absolutely fine on my Mac, and also
embedded in the site in Safari and Opera.
Before uploading I wanted to check in IE and Opera on a Windows-PC
and now there is the problem:
the first headline does not fade in, it suddenly just appears.
The second headline fades in the place of the first, when the first one is
fading out. So now, for a second the text is appearing above each other and
both neither fade in nor fade out.
The three subheadlines later start one by one, and they work fine and fade in
and out correctly. All pictures fade in and out correctly, too.
What could that be?
I`ve just installed the newest flash-player on the Windows-PC and
the problem is still there when I open the swf-file or when I embed it in the website.
I would be deeply grateful for any hint.

Hi!
The difference was, the headline property was accidentally "dynamic text", the subheadlines were static.
I missed that.
Before changing that now in the fla-file I checked the old one on differrent company macs,
the problem is only one a few macs, say one of ten had the problem I watched.
I think now, that must be just bad luck or it is a player problem.
Allow me the question please:
should I use dynamic text or static (then I cannot embed the font, the option dispappears then
in the Properties-panel).

Email with worklfow problem text is broken in middle.

Requirement.
To send Email notification using workflow .
I am using the standard method SENDTASKDESCRIPTION of BOR object SELFITEM in the task .
while passing the text in the email i have a url link
which is quite long and has character equal to as shown below :

Problem :
1) Is there a way I can hide this link or create a hyperlink to this with a small text like for example text 'click here ' will have the hyperlink . But as I understood its only possible with HTML Email . And SAP does not support to conver the raw text to HTML. and the possible solution to achive this I believe is to code the logic.
If some have some have other way to achive this please let me know ?
2) Secondly the link gets broken in between when it is sent from SAP and to the Outlook . SO the email which is seen by the user does not have this link in complete .
Can I stop the system not to braeak this link while sending ?

Hi Ankur,
Standard SAP uses SAPscript for creating the email, which breaks down the lines to 60 characters.
The easiest way to achieve the same is to write your own Function Module (you can go up to 1024 characters then). In this module you use the standard SAP FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send the email.
By setting the body type to HTML you can create a hyperlink with just a text to be displayed.

Problem with interpretation of Expression Language

I have installed the JSTL 1.1 runned by Tomcat 5x.
But in the HTML code produced, I still have :

whereas it should be interpreted ?

I do not know if any of you has been able to resolve the problem, but here is one more try. I was having the same problem and this solution worked for me. I have copied this excerpt from the following website, http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tutorials/jsp20/simpleel.html:

Having problem on Iphone, Ipad mini and Ipad air.

Unless you tell us what the problem is, we won't be able to help. What is happening when you try to text? What error messages have you gotten? What troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

Problem text additional fields Query ad-hoc

Dear All,
We created a query using an additional field in the structure created P0001_AF. The fact is that our field has an associated text, which indicates how the output of our query, but the text always appears empty.
The field has duly informed the function that is responsible for recovering the text and it works well.
Running the standard report is generated with the query (AQA0HCM ========= XXX ....) we realized that fields of the table P0001 read well , then read it the text associated with our field of P0001_AF, the problem is that after reading this right will find again our field Z in Table P0001, and as there is, delete the recovered value above.
This code is standard and can not be changed. We also found no customizing to generate the program otherwise.
Do you know any solution? Is it a standard problem?

this field might not be running in std reports but you can do below
did you created a local field in sq02 , and add custom coding at that field according to correspondig field text.

Problem to interpret a GET

I have a problem to make the following task in a web project. I mean I should use servlet but I'm not sure.
1. I must call an URL from a web page, for example http://url1 (make a GET)
2. In a browser, the result of this GET is a HTTP 404 Error but the URL of the page has however changed : http://url2&ticket=123
3. I want to get the ticket parameter, so "123"
In order to do that I use the following code but the problem is that the "http://url2&ticket=123" is returned in the EXCEPTION !! Is there another way to proceed ?

What BalusC was trying to confirm above was that you knew how to construct a valid URL. In your question, you said:

Here http://url2&ticket=123 is invalid because *&* is used to separate parameters in the query string and *?* is used to separate the query string itself from the site name. So the correct URL would be http://url2?ticket=123.
Also, let me rephrase your question since it's kinda difficult to figure out what your problem is. You're saying that you want to access http://url2?ticket=xyz. The value of xyz keeps changing and you are actually redirected from http://url1 to this URL with a new ticket value each time.
Is this a correct interpretation? I've no idea how to go about this but perhaps my post will make it easier for someone else to help you out.

Firefox v26.o, Google, Mac OS X v10.6.8 - Problem: text is cramped/superimposed on most websites. Any solution?

I am running Firefox v26.0 and using Mac OS X v10.6.8. When I go to most webpages using Google search, more often than not the displayed text is vertically cramped, overlaid or displaced e.g., some lines of text are superimposed over others. Is this a known problem and is there a fix? Thanks!

You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*On Mac click on the Firefox menu and select Preferences...to access the preferences window.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

IDML file problems - text disappears & unselectable when found

Hi,
My first question here.
I use Adobe CS5.5 and I need to export .indd files into the .idml format so they are readable by my translation software.
I exported my file to idml, but when I open this file, I get a "unable to set bounding box message", and all the text has disappeared from the text boxes. When I toggle the text box (make it bigger), I find the text, but I am unable to select it. Saving the idml file as indd doesn't make any difference.
My translation software actually reads the idml and my translated text is there when I re-export it, but still not visible on normal view, and still not selectable (so I can't cut and paste it back into my original indd file).
I have tried various "unlock" suggestions found on other forums, but nothing is working. I have installed all the CS5.5 updates... I am wondering if there is a problem with my original file.
Any help most appreciated, I've been grappling with this all morning.

Ok, this problem is half-solved, and there's a few leads.
It turns out the text is selectable, it just doesn't show it has been selected (no blocking shows), and this was also also the case I realise with the original .indd file. This resolves the situation for my practical purposes, as I can copy and paste my (translated) text from the idml file back into the original .indd file.
Still don't know why the text disappeared from the boxes in the first place, or the relationship to the "bounding box", but it seems likely the whole thing is derived from issues with the original file.

Problem - Text in JTextPane overlaps

Hi All,
I have an application that allows 2 users (User A + User B) to chat
interactively. Every character User A / User B inputs will be sent to the other
side immediately. Only one of the users is "active" - only characters input by the
"active" user will be sent to the other side. When the "active" user has finished
typing, he/she will press a button to indicate he/she is done and the other side
will become "active".
Characters input by User A / User B will be displayed in an instance of
JTextPane at the other side. An instance of DefaultStyledDocument is used as the
only argument of the constructor that is called to initialize the instance of
JTextPane. JTextPane is used because different colors has to be used to identify
characters input by the 2 users.
Below is some lines of code of the application.
      StyledDocument doc = new DefaultStyledDocument();
      JTextPane txtReceiveBuffer = new JTextPane(doc);
      SimpleAttributeSet attribute = new SimpleAttributeSet();
      StyleConstants.setForeground(attribute, Color.blue);
      doc.insertString(doc.getLength(), strUserInput, attribute);
      ...Sometimes a line of characters in the JTextPane will overlap the other line.
(It seems like a transparent layer with some characters is placed in front of
another layer with some characters.) Sometimes the line "behind" will totally
disappear. (It seems like a non-transparent layer with some characters is placed
in front of another layer with some characters.) If a user tries to resize the
frame that contains the JTextPane, sometimes things will be fine again, but
sometimes the problem doesn't go until the application is restarted.
Has anyone ever encountered the same problem? And does anyone get a solution to
this problem?

Are you adding the text from the other user in another thread than the event thread? Swing is not thread safe and strange things might happen if you update components from other threads. The solution would be to only update from the event thread. Look at the method SwingUtilities.invokeLater() for a way to do that: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/javax/swing/SwingUtilities.html#invokeLater(java.lang.Runnable)

Problem: Text elements inconsistencies

Hi,
I Converted SAP standard query to ABAP program for my requirement. I done the programming. Now the problem is I have to Add some text elements. When i'm trying to add text elemments, some inconsistencies there in standard sap text elements. when i activate,it doesn't allow to activate.It is displaying the message as " Inconsistencies exist,plz correct". it is showing some inconsistencies in text elements. If i remove these textelements, my report header,some texts,so many are missing.So i have to add my textelements without removing standard text elemnts.Can anyone suggest.

It contains more than 100 text elements. and also the program was developed using query strings.So text elements also developed in that way with % and | . So we cannot create new text elements.So just we have an option to add our text elements to Standard one. Just I'm creating the one block and three checkboxes. for these i have to provide long text more than 8 characters.Is there any other way.Please suggest.
