Problem to generate secret field with JHeadstart 10.1.3.1.0

Hi,
I'm experimentig the new version of Jheadstart and I have a problem to generate a JSF page with a secret field using the Oracle JHeadstart 10.1.3 Evaluation Version.
In fact when I change the display filed in the jheadstart Application Definition Editor to "secret" and then try to generate
jsf pages, i have this message error for both form and table layout :

I followed your instructions and it works
I recently downloaded the production version of JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 10.1.3.1.0.3984
Build JDEVADF_10.1.3.1.0_NT_061009.1404.3984
I installed JHeadstart evaluation version.
I recreate the same example with this new version of JDeveloper
I found the bean definition in the jag-config.xml (by default)
I removed the "#ITEM_PARTIAL_TRIGGERS_PROP" from the template (default/item/form/formSecret.vm )
I thought it will work but unfortunately it doesn't work and and I got the same error

Problem in using JDeveloper 10g with JHeadstart

I am using JDeveloper 9.0.3 and jheadstart 9.0.4.5 and I would like to test jdeveloper 10g preview with JHeadstart.
So, I have downloaded the JDeveloper 10g to test it with my old application.

So I try to test one of my old application with this configuration. After Jdeveloper migrated my workspace and projects and business componenet
to the newer version, I run the application generator. It worked fine without any problem but after running the application, I got an error page showing
that my bc4j.xcfg is not in the path.
On the other hand, I found out that when I wanted to view my UIX pages, 2 dialog boxes appeared. The first one asked to upgrade
to UIX 2.2's new expression language syntax and the other which is on the top of the first one, showing that UIX runtime failed to render the page

The document Sandra referred to applies to JDeveloper 10g preview (9.0.5.0). JHeadstart 9.0.4.5 will NOT work with JDeveloper 109 production (9.0.5.1).
We plan to release a new version end of april that is compatible with 9.0.5.1. See this thread for more info: JDeveloper 10g production, status JHeadstart?

How to generate complex reports with JHeadStart?

I have data from a DataSourceSet process in the infoTable (I use BC4J 9.0.3.10.7, JHeadStart 9.0.3.58, Oracle MVC R.Candidate 2.0, UIX 2.1.9).I need to generate a report with this data in a UIX Table. Actually, I show the data as retrieved from the ViewObject(Whole query in a table). One of the columns has Numbers and I add them at the bottom row with a GetTotalsRow process.
Now I need to have subtotals in the same table as if I do a GROUP BY but without modifying the query (I have to do this using data stored in infoTable). I also have to add complex calculations for each row.
Any idea?
PD: I'm thinking in reading data from infoTable and in a custom process create DataObjectList with all details.
is it a good approach?
is there something better?

Problem in generating excise invoice with reference to commercial invoice

I could able to generate excise invoice with reference to STO ( jex ) invoice but unable to generate with reference to commercial invoice ( F2) .System is show 'error in creating FI document'. Am i missing some configuration.

Problem displaying a related field with an ADF Table

I am trying to use an ADF table to display data that is setup with TopLink as a one-to-one mapping. The database table is the TICKET table and it has a field STATUS_ID. I would like to display the STATUS from the STATUS table instead of the STATUS_ID. The STATUS table has a STATUS_ID key and the ticket table is setup with a FK constraint on the STATUS table.
I have two objects, Ticket and Status, that were created from the TopLink reverse engineer. I have created the TopLink mapping and generated the data controls ( this is the same process I used when going through the SRdemo). From the data control palette I dragged the FindAllTickets to my listTicket,jspx page and it shows a menu of options. I selected the ADF Read only table option and the only fields available in the dialog are from the TICKET table??
The ADF table works and display all the data in the TICKET table but I have not been able to add another column to show the status from the STATUS table. There is a node under the findAllTickets data controlI for the Status. I dragged the individual fields over as ADF output test I can see the data from all the fields including the STATUS.STATUS field but I only see the last row. Also,this is not in a table format.
Does anyone know how to set this up with an ADF table or is there a better way?

I'm encountering the same problem. One solution seems to use business components (a view object based on many entitiy objects) as described in the ADFBC tutorial, but like you i've based my development on the ADF tutorial and i think there is a solution but i didn't find it for the moment. I'm keep looking for a solution and if i find something, i'll send it to you.

AET issue: Problem in generating Z fields

Hi Experts,
We released the service request of the Zfields to Quality server. But request is released with problem as u2018Enhancement is not active and cannot be transportedu2019.
Note: We created Zfields using AET tool. Fields was created successfully but with error (Fields was not generated). However we are able use those fields without an issue.
I tried to regenerate the Extension ID of the Zfield in extension analyzer. But it is not generating and showing message as u2018ZAEXT00004V was not generatedu2019
Please help me to rectify this scenario

You are right steve. Error Message(Unknown dynpro popup was raised during generation of BWA_DATASOURCE_FIELD 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H) was raised when I was created the fields in AET only but not in AXTSHOW.
Fields was created successfully but with error.we are able use those fields without an issue.
After that only I tried to re-generate the enhancement in AXTSHOW. Then I got message as 'ZAEXT00004V was not generatedu2019

Problem populating html form fields with data from database.

I'm using a straight forward piece of code to populate a form with data from a database, to create and 'edit record' page. The code is as follows;

However, when I view the page, the string shows in the text feild, but seems to be split at the point of the first space. So basically only the first word of the string shows in the text field. If I try to print '$dbnewsletter_title' outside of the table, the string is shown in full as it should be.
Does anyone know what is causing this problem?

When using the option to generate the NLB the, OLB does nothing.
The environment variables ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID and ORA_NLS10 are set correctly.

I need to generate sales orders with custom fields on table CRMD_ORDERADM_H using BAPI_BUSPROCESSND_CREATEMULTI, after changing the structure BAPI_TE_CRMD_ORDERADM_H, and feed the EXTENSIONIN table of the BAPI with data, the order is created, but any value on custom fields.
After debuging, I saw that the BAPI search for structure conversion in table CRMC_OBJECTS_GEN, but we haven't entry with BAPI_TE_CRMD_ORDERADM_H in this table. is that the problem ?, Is there any way to fix it?

That depends on where do you have the customer fields, check the table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H, if your custom fields are there, you need to use the changing parameter CUSTOMER_HEAD, I guess your already checked that one, right? but there's no custom fields, well...AET/EEWB doesn't enhance the strcuture of the BAPI, so you should do it manually, check the note following note for further details.

If you don't have access to the SAP Marketplace, in resume you should create an append on the structure BAPIBUS20001_CUSTOMER_H and include the following strcutrue CI_EEW_CUSTOMER_H

Go to the cache directory and see if you can open the report directly from here (not in IE).
I have seen posts on problems with Acrobat Reader Plugin for IE (I believe it was version 6 of Reader).

Problem generating detail disclosure in JHeadstart 10.1.2.1

Hi,
In order to get the "Read Only In Tables" and "Read Only In Forms" options to work in JHeadstart, I had to enable generating the view (UIX in my case). However, doing so effectively removed all Detail Disclosure columns in my page! In the Application Structure File editor I have the option "Detail Disclosure? (UIX only)" enabled, but no option to show the non-shown details is created in my table.
Can this be beacuse I upgraded from JHeadstart 10.1.2 (build 19) to JHeadstart 10.1.2.1 (build 27)? The relevant part of the Application Structure File is

In the JHeadstart ViewObject Editor for this group I have several attributes that are shown both in tables and in forms, but also several attributes that are shown in forms but NOT in tables. I even set these options to true or false where appropriate and this didn't help.
To be sure the generation of detail disclosure went ok before we merged to build 27, I took the old project files and regenerated the MyGroup pages. This went ok and detail disclosure works perfectly well.
So, the only difference between the build 19 and build 27 Application Structure Files is the "Read Only In Tables" and "Read Only In Forms" options which the build 19 file doesn't have, but the build 27 file does. I even removed them to see if that makes a difference, but it doesn't.
Would anyone know what's going on here?

OK as it turns out, I didn't do a proper upgrade from JHeadstart 10.1.2 to JHeadstart 10.1.2.1 which caused the generation of detail disclosure to fail. To solve this issue I
- created a new Web Project with a name similar to the old one.
- enabled JHeadstart on this project
- created a new JHeadstart Application Structure File specifying the same View Package as my old project
After having done this I copied over the old Application Structure File to the new project and restarted JDeveloper. Next I edited the Application Structure File and made sure all pages and application parts (struts-config, tab bars etc) were set to be generated. Running the JHeadstart Application Generator on the Application Structure File now produced a UIX page with detail disclosure. All I have to do now is to check my old project for post generation changes and implement them in the new one, either by setting the proper options via JHeadstart or by modifying the UIX code afterwards.

How can I have two fields with the same name if it makes sense?

Hello, folks :)
I have a pretty hard time figuring out how I can have two text fields with the same binding name.
The whole problem is that when I need two fields with the same binding name they are still differnent coz they have the same name but differnt indices.
I should make a form filled at runtime by merging a pdf form file and an fdf file data file. And I have no choice to do it differently. And my form file needs some data like customerName, companyName twice in one form. But there's only one possible buinding name indexed zero.
How can I create a field with absolutely the same name or is it just impossible due to possible name conflicts? And is there a workaround to this problem? I just need one piece of data repeated in different places.

P.S. if u think that the problem is not clear enough let me know. I'll supply you with more details. But the general process can not be changed.
One pdf should be mergred with an fdf with as the result of their merge a new filled and flattened form. I have no control over fdfs their are generated by Oracle and I can not fill the form using XML files coz this process should be integrated in a working application.

I just thought about a really ugly workaround with a server-side script adding values to fdf files but it's a bit of work and tests and personally i think it's a bad idea :-(

Problem in aligning dynamic UI with the static UI

I have problem in aligning dynamic UI with the static UI, I am using Matrix layout.
Static fields are spread over 2 colums and 3 rows:

All fields with !Format event blank when printing

A client asked for assistance creating a new shipping label template with Adobe Output Designer 5.5, a program I've not used before. I had no problem creating the layout, and slapping the necessary fields on there (they had a few other templates I was able to use as examples). When I use Test Presentment from within Output Designer, the results look great - all the data fields and barcodes show up fine. When actually printing a label from Prophet 21, all the fields with !Format events defined are completely missing. I copied many of these !Formats from existing templates and adjusted them slightly to match the new label format, so I'm not sure why all those fields in the new template end up blank. I haven't made any changes to the default template preamble, which I've included below. What simple detail am I overlooking that's needed to make this work? Like I said, this is not a program I have much familiarity with, and a couple hours of experimenting and searching the web have proved fruitless.

Merge Fields with Content Controls

Hello everybody,
we are using word templates to generate quotations in print form. This process worked fine using the old Technology (custom XML).
Because a newer Version of Microsoft Office is now being used, the technology has been updated to the new one (content controls).
Now we are facing one Problem. With the old Technology we used merge fields for formatting fields, e.g. to get rid of leading zeros. But it seems that the function of merge fields cannot be combined with a dynamic field which has been added to the document out of the SAP Data Panel.
Has anybody an idea how we can use merge fields with this new technology?

The Demo program SAPRDEMO_MAILMERGE_INTERFACE you have found is correct for the issue you are facing. If you still have trouble with your program do let me know and i will write down the steps for you here.
However, for the issue I have posted here, program does not work. I have tried writing a IF condition in the Mail Merge Template and to execute it but to my surprise it does not work. Neither SAP has provided any specific information related to Formula and calculations to be done in Mail Merge Template.
