Problem w/ Java code generated by Darwin

Our net model from [Options]/[Generate Code]/[Java] would not compile. The code has something like
CD_BUYER = (String ) output[0];
while output[0] is a double.
Is there any fix to this problem?

Hi,
These Mapping Functions are coming as a Jar file which is a set of Class Files that SAP gives.
So there is no question to be able to see it's code.
Anytime what you will get is a class file and not JAVA file.
Regards,
Akshay.

  • How can I install ODM Java Code Generator in Jdeveloper 9051?

    Hi, I need to install ODM extension in Jdeveloper 9051 but the html file with the instructions is in blank.
    Someone know how?
    Thanks
    Javier

    Install
    Download ODMJDevExt.zip and extract the contents to <JDeveloper10G Home>\jdev\lib\ext (<JDeveloper10G Home>/jdev/lib/ext on UNIX), where <JDeveloper10GHome> is the directory where JDeveloper is installed, and launch Oracle JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.1).
    Note: ODM Java Code Generator is certified with Oracle JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.1) only. Go to the http://otn.us.oracle.com for the Oracle JDeveloper 10g (9.0.5.1) download.
    You must use Oracle 10g Release 1 (10.1).
    If you patch the database beyond 10.1 release, be sure to update the odmapi.jar in <JDeveloper10G Home>\jdev\lib\ext (Windows) or <JDeveloper10G Home>/jdev/lib/ext (UNIX) to match the version that was installed in your database.

  • New problem  --  My java code can't see my CLASSES from Mapping Workbench

    Donald and others -
    I am VERY new to TopLink......
    I was at the last Oracle Developer Days in Northern Virginia. Donald convinced me and my co-workers to use TopLink for our upcoming project. I have been having tons of problems getting it to work correctly. Maybe I need a TOPLINK license plate, like Donald!!!
    Here is my newest problem. I can create a DatabaseSession, login to it, write a query and log out of it.
    However, I can only do this if I remove my classes from the Mapping Workbench. As soon as I add even one class to the Mapping Workbench......I get an error as follows:
    LOCAL EXCEPTION STACK:
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-3007] (TopLink - 9.0.3 (Build 423)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.ConversionException
    EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: The object [mil.usa.lbit.isr.TestIsr], of class [class java.lang.String], could not be converted to [class java.lang.Class]. Please ensure that the class [class java.lang.Class] is on the CLASSPATH. You may need to use alternate API passing in the appropriate class loader as required, or setting it on the default ConversionManager
    INTERNAL EXCEPTION: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: mil.usa.lbit.isr.TestIsr
    Can anyone tell me where I need to put my class files so the java code can see them via the ISR.xml deployment file.
    I currently have these files in a .jar file on the system path and in my web-inf folder and in my project settings. I put them everywhere I could think of, but no luck.
    Here is my code:
    package mil.usa.lbit.isr;
    import mil.usa.lbit.LbitColors;
    import java.util.*;
    import java.math.*;
    import oracle.toplink.sessions.*;

    System.out.println("Connected");
    return session.isConnected();
    public void loginToDatabase() {
    Project builderProject;
    System.out.println("Attempt to login to database using TopLink:");
    project = XMLProjectReader.read("C:\\LBIT TopLink\\ISR\\ISR.xml");
    session = project.createDatabaseSession();
    session.login();
    System.out.println("Logged in");
    public void runQuery() {
    ExpressionBuilder builder = new ExpressionBuilder();
    Expression expression = builder.get("isr_id").equal(3);
    System.out.println(expression);
    //TestIsr isr = (TestIsr) session.readObject(TestIsr.class, expression);
    //System.out.println(isr);
    public void logoutOfDatabase() {
    session.logout();
    System.out.println("Logged out");
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    TestIsr testing = new TestIsr();
    testing.isConnected();
    testing.loginToDatabase();
    testing.isConnected();
    testing.runQuery();
    testing.logoutOfDatabase();
    Thanks in advance.
    Donald please email me and maybe we can chat on the phone if you want to offer some help.
    Andy

    Thanks for the reply!
    However, I did try to implement that yesterday.
    When I add the "getClass().getClassLoader()" to the "XMLProjectReader.read" call, the codes loses site of my project (.xml) file.
    Here is the new line:
    project = XMLProjectReader.read("C:\\LBIT TopLink\\ISR\\ISR.xml", getClass().getClassLoader());
    Here is the new error:
    EXCEPTION [TOPLINK-7099] (TopLink - 9.0.3 (Build 423)): oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException
    EXCEPTION DESCRIPTION: Could not find xml project file which is specified in properties file: xmlProjectFile=C:\LBIT TopLink\ISR\ISR.xml.
         oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException oracle.toplink.exceptions.ValidationException.projectXMLNotFound(java.lang.String, java.lang.Exception)
         oracle.toplink.sessions.Project oracle.toplink.tools.workbench.XMLProjectReader.read(java.lang.String, java.lang.ClassLoader)
    But my code could find that file before I added the "getClass().getClassLoader()" code.
    Maybe I can avoid this problem by "deploying the XML file in my application jar?" Could you please explain more about this option after answering the first part of my question.
    Any other posters feel free to help me too.
    I know TopLink is a powerful tool, I just keep hitting these hurdles. ARRRRRRRGGGG!!!
    Thanks again,
    Andy

    It seems like the compiler is generating c++ code but the gcc compiler is only compiling in cc mode. I've tried a number of options in the pcscfg.cfg file to no avail. I have tried the different options for the CODE=cpp in the pcscfg.cfg file but still get the same error and/or multiple errors. I have also tried to compile the oracle demo programs using the demo_proc.mk file and also get the same error.
    The install of Oracle is fine. I can start the database and have created a needed user and tables but cannot successfully compile the pro*C code.

    My proc is also compiling for cpp code but in the pcscfg.cfg file there is no "CODE=cpp"

  • Thesis problem : create a code generator...are there any good rules to foll

    Hi all,
    I am working on my thesis; the thesis is about writing in Java a code generator.
    Well, the target is : getting a source code ( wrote in a meta language) and traslted it into another language.
    I have to write the code generator in Java.
    I was wondering if there were some general rules about writing this kinfd of applications.
    Any suggestion ?
    Cheers.
    Stefano

    That's not technically a code generator.
    The technical name for such a tool is a transpiler.
    You'd need a pretty good understanding of both languages to be able to write this, as you'd need to know how to represent code constructs in each in the other under any condition.
    In my experience you almost always end up with poor code, unless maybe both languages have nearly identical paradigms.
    For example transpiling a procedural language into an object oriented one will generally yield code that's neither good procedural nor good object oriented code.

  • Java Code Generating Library

    Hi,
    I'm looking for a library that might not exist, since I imagine most people doing what I'm attempting go for some sort of templating solution instead. I'm looking for a library that abstracts the language structures of Java, and is capable of writing out a text file containing these structures, such that I could effectively generate code by saying:
    "Build me a Class"
    "Add a method to this class"
    "Add a command to that method"
    "Add another comand to that method"
    "Add another method"
    Is there such a library?
    Thanks

    There are a fair few code generation libraries about, but to get the best out of them, you need a bit more of a specific purpose than just "generate me some code". Castor and xml-beans will both generate classes for you that are bound to XML schemas, so if you have a bunch of XML data you want classes for, use one of them. Another approach would be to use something like XDoclet, which started out as a tool for generating EJB deployment descriptors but mutated into a more flexible, extensible code generation framework. You could write your own plugin for it to generate your own code. Or you could pick up this book, for more ideas, and a lot of info on writing your own code gen tools
    Or you could just write it yourself. It's not too difficult to spit out a text file, and that's all a source file is after all, and you can leverage tools.jar to compile it, and load the classes at runtime. Loads of possiblities, it just depends exactly what you're after. I don't know of any general-purpose codegen tools, but I bet they exist

  • Still having problems compiling java code

    I still dont know what is wrong, it works just fine in JCreator but, when I try to use the command prompt it still gives me the same error message. Also I have made sure that the code is in the same directory with the command.

    Thanks for the advice Kitty, that was the command I
    was using javac <FileName.java>. I did, however,
    update my classpath and the path variables like you
    mentioned, but I am still recieving the same error
    message. I just cannot figure out where the error in
    the code is. =(Okay... apparently you need a little help...
    So to help you clarify thing a bit...
    Let's start here...
    This error below...
    C:\myfolder\test>javac VariableDemo.java
    'javac' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.... is what you get if the OS does not know the path to javac.exe...
    if you type path at the command prompt you will see what your "System" path is, which would include an entry that would point to you sdk, something like "C:\YourJavaSDKFolder\bin";C:\someotherprogramfolder;
    This path has nothing to do with the classpath. Your system uses this path to find executables to run you programs ( although many are locations are actually in your registry an therefore no path entry is needed... i.e. MS Word )...
    This error...
    C:\myfolder\test>javac VariableDemo.java
    error: cannot read: VariableDemo.java
    1 errormeans that your compiler was not able to locate your *.java file. I was able to replicate because VariableDemo.java does not exist on my machine, so javac.exe naturally could not find the *.java file...
    javac.exe does not check the "System" path to find class files, so even though you saved you file in your "bin" folder of the SDK, javac would not know it there...
    the way that javac.exe is able to find you class files is either by the default "." as stated before which is your current working directory
    ( noted by your command prompt ... C:\myfolder\test> )
    or if you had specified your classpath either as an argument...
    C:\>javac -classpath c:\myfolder\test VariableDemo.javaor by setting the "classpath" environment variable either temporarily in you command prompt by typing
    set classpath=c:\myfolder\testor setting as you "System" environment variable by ( assuming Win XP though it similar for NT and 2000 ) via System Properties|Advance Tab|Environment Variable... Read your OS documentation for details involving setting your Environment Variable...
    as for why JCreator or what ever IDE you are using is able to do it, is because, part of what it does is temporarily pass the classpath information to the compiler automatically... so that you won't need to do it... and which is why IDE are generally not recommended to beginners to learn Java... It does to much stuff you... hence you classpath issue...
    anyway, check out the links provided for you for further and more detail information on setting the "classpath" on other Java basic...

  • Problem opening java code file

    I downloaded some code for a slide out menu and am unable to open the file after unzipping it. Yes, I am a beginner and know near to nothing about java.
    Here's the message that came up:
    Script: C:\Documents and Setting\etc...etc
    Documents\passion\ssm6_6\ssmitmes.js
    Line: 1
    Char:1
    Error: Syntax error
    Code: 800A03EA
    Source: Microsoft JScript compilation error
    So what's with that? I know it's my computer but I don't know where to go for answers so I thought here'd be a good start.
    Any hints are greatly appreciated, thanks ya'll!!

    There is some errror in The ssmitmes.js java script file. Just try to edit it and clear it.

  • Weblogic 6.0 (SP2) generates incorrect java code for JSP with response.sendRedirect()

              Hi,
              Here are the steps to reproduce the problem with the examplesWebApp application
              bundled with wlserver6.0(sp2):
              Product: Weblogic server 6.0 (sp2)
              Browser: IE 5.0
              1. Add index.jsp as the welcome file in WEB-INF/web.xml
              2. Create index.jsp as below:
              <%
              response.sendRedirect("index.html");
              return;
              %>
              <html>
              <head>
              <title>Index JSP file</title>
              </head>
              <body>
              <font color="red">This is index.jsp file </font>
              </body>
              </html>
              3. Create index.html as below:
              <html>
              <head>
              <title>Index HTML file</title>
              </head>
              <body>
              <font color="red">This is index.html file </font>
              </body>
              </html>
              4. Run the examples server and make sure examplesWebApp is deployed on the examples
              server using the console
              5. Access the URL http://localhost:7001/examplesWebApp
              The page will display a compilation error as below:
              C:\bea\wlserver6.0\config\examples\applications\examplesWebApp\WEB-INF\_tmp_war_examplesServer_examplesServer_examplesWebApp\jsp_servlet\_index.java:89:
              unreachable statement
              out.print("\r\n<html>\r\n<head>\r\n<title>Simple html</title>\r\n</head>\r\n<body>\r\n<font
              color=\"red\">This is index.jsp page</font>\r\n</body>\r\n</html>\r\n");
              ^
              and a look at the generated java code for index.jsp (_index.java) will reveal
              the erroneous code snippet below in the jsp service method:
              try { // error page try block
              //[ /index.jsp; Line: 1]
              response.sendRedirect("index.html"); //[ /index.jsp; Line: 2]
              return; //[ /index.jsp; Line: 3]
              out.print("\r\n<html>\r\n<head>\r\n<title>Simple html</title>\r\n</head>\r\n<body>\r\n<font
              color=\"red\">This is index.jsp page</font>\r\n</body>\r\n</html>\r\n");
              } catch (Exception __ee) {
              while (out != null && out != _originalOut) out = pageContext.popBody();
              pageContext.handlePageException(__ee);
              The above web application works fine in Tomcat 3.2.X environment. The Weblogic
              server 6.0 servlet engine should not generate the "out.println()" corresponding
              to the html section of index.jsp. The moment it sees the "return", it should stop
              processing further.
              Can someone from Weblogic support team please verify this and let me know when
              this bug will be fixed?
              One interesting thing I noticed was when we last tried weblogic 6.0 at its beta
              stage, it worked fine after we put in a special patch jar file called "redirectfix.jar"
              we received from weblogic team but somehow it got re-introduced by the time it
              was released!!
              We are planning to migrate our product from tomcat 3.2.x to weblogic 6.0. Our
              product has a lot of pages with such conditional {response.sendRdirect("page.jsp");return;}
              blocks. We would really appreciate a faster response form weblogic team.
              Thanks in advance.

  • Problems with backing Java Code

    Earlier I manually deleted the processChange event handler method for a textfield from the backing java code. As I had no plans to use that event handler. Now my page abends with a message stating that the process chnage method is not available. I tried to add via the event handler for the textbox using the GUI but it does not add the process change event handler method. Using an another process change method as a model I manually entered the code to handle process change for the text bos. Now I am getting an internal server exception - Null in one of the parameters. PLEASE HELP. What are my options - Delete and re-create the entire page

    Hi,
    Yes I am using the recommeded code: The Text field generating the null exception is addDataSourceTF. Whenever we click on the addDataSourceBTN we get an Internal exception.
    Thanks very much for looking into this problem. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • Preventing JAXB xjc from re-generating java code of import ed schemas...

    Hi, I am using XJC to generate java code from xsd.
    However the xsd I run it on often has imports to another xsd that will be in a jar along with its java classes already existing.
    This jar is on the calsspath too.
    XJC however not only generates java code for existing xsd, but also for every import it has.
    And also for every import each of those imported xsd's might have.
    So if it were a long import chain A->B->C->D it generates code for all.
    How can i get it to generate code for only A and assume all the remaing code can be found on the jars in the classpath.
    The A.xsd also has a catalog file associated with it that has every namespace reference pointing to the correct xsd locations within jars.
    So it even has B->C mapping and C->D mapping. This was needed or else XJC didnt even generate anything at all and complained it could not reach C from B and so on.
    Catalog file solved that problem but not the fact that it keeps regnerating code.
    Thanks
    Edited by: Priyajeet on Dec 9, 2008 1:36 PM

    Problem solved.
    The xjc compiler reads file name in a case-sensitive fashion, even on windows.
    So, common.xsd and Common.xsd are seen as two distinct files.
    This was the cause of the compilation errors, since feature1 imported the schema using the filename Common.xsd, whereas the other schemas imported common using common.xsd
    I hope this could help.

  • How can i generate BARCODE Images using JAVA Code

    Hello ,
    My requirement is to generate BarCode Images to Print using JAVA Code.
    User will give only
    1) String.as Input Parameter and
    2) Type of Encoding you want to apply on to the String.
    outPut : code should generate Bar Code Images as per the requirements.
    can any one help me out with jars ????? or any link which can provide me start.

    1) I have requriement like generate doc file with
    more than one barcode image on that document.???
    So?
    If your chosen "doc file" format supports inclusion of multiple images there's no problem.
    If it doesn't, choose another format.
    2) I am able to generate .doc file but in which
    format i should open that doc file.????
    The same format you used to create it.
    3) Main thing is how can i put more than one barcode
    image on that doc file????
    That would depend on the file format and the API used to create it.
    is any one faced the same problem or gone through
    same requirement.
    Almost certainly. And they solved it too, given the document I'm looking at right now which is an e-ticket for an airline that has many barcodes and other generated images on it.
    So keep on trying, grasshopper, and you may find enlightenment.

  • Java application crashes due to some problem in native  code

    Hi All
    I have a Java application that calls APIs in a 3rd party DLL(I don't have access to its source code or logs) through my VC++ DLL(Win32) that acts as the wrapper DLL.
    The Application has many functionalities and is based on multithreading (both on Java layer as well as C++ layer). Most of the functionalities are working , but when I try to close the application, it crashes.
    Moreover the crashing occurs inconstently, sometimes it does not crash. Instead of showing any debug information , it simply creates a error file with disassembly code that I am not able to understand.
    Though the error seems like an java error, but actually it seems to be due to native code. I have try catch blocks in my code and also implemented settranslator functionality to get hold of structured/C exceptions. But still I am not able to catch any exceptions.
    I am pasting the the contents of the file here:

    The JAVA Application during initialisation establishes a connection with the host server for various devices. For each of the device it establishes a separate connection and keeps listening on these connections using multithreading.
    During App close, we need to close each of these connections one by one for each device.
    The opening /closing of connection is done by 3rd party DLL and call to there APIs is done through a C++ Wrapper DLL that I have built between the Java layer and their DLL.
    When we close the Application, I am always able to close the connections on the first 2 devices. Then all of a sudden it crashes either for the 3rd device conn. close or for the 4th one. The code is the same for all the devices . That too sometimes it just goes fine without crashing. If its a null pointer exception, why is it that it crashes on some occassions and not in other times. More importantly, why is it that it does not fail for the first 2 devices , but fails for the 3rd or 4th device connection close?
    Can please anyone help me. Please suggest me as to how I can determine the cause of the error.
    And is this error really coming in ntdll.dll or is it getting caused of my dll?

    The opening /closing of connection is done by 3rd party DLL and call to there APIs is done through a C++ Wrapper DLL that I have built between the Java layer and their DLL.The specific error indicates a pointer/memory problem.
    The first place that is likely is in your code.
    The second most likely place for the cause is because you are using the third party library incorrectly. For example before exiting you are supposed to clean up resources and you are not doing so.
    As a remote possibility, much less likely that either of the above, there is a bug in jnative or in the 3rd party library.

  • How to generate the java code of a table's data model by parsing it's FXML?

    I have know how to create FXML file that describes a table. Meanwhile, according to [Oracle Tutorial|http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2/fxml_get_started/fxml_tutorial_intermediate.htm#CACFEHBI], it is a best practice to implement a class that defines the data model and provides methods and fields to further work with the table.
    However, It's rather cumbersome and time consuming to typing the code. So, is there any tools that can generate the java code of a table's data model by parsing it's FXML describe file?
