Problem when I startup
Hi everybody,
I have a problem and I will be very happy if you could help me,
when I startup database the problem is appeared as shown below:

before startup the database I was doing standby database,these all the steps I did to create standby database:-
3.1 Preparing the Primary Database for Standby Database Creation
3.1.1 Enable Forced Logging
3.1.2 Create a Password File
3.1.3 Setting Primary Database Initialization Parameters
3.1.4 Enable Archiving
3.2 Creating a Physical Standby Database
3.2.1 Create a Backup Copy of the Primary Database Datafiles
3.2.2 Create a Control File for the Standby Database
3.2.3 Prepare an Initialization Parameter File for the Standby Database
3.2.4 Copy datafiles and log files from the Primary System to the Standby System
3.2.5 Set Up the Environment to Support the Standby Database
Step 1 Create a Windows-based service.
Step 2 Create a password file.
Step 3 Configure listeners for the primary and standby databases.
Step 4 Enable broken connection detection on the standby system
Step 6 Create a server parameter file for the standby database.
after all these steps I tried to startup standby database the above error message appeared to me.

When I startup Firefox, I always get "Welcome to Firefos" tab. I have tried to change mu options, but when I close Firefox, the options revert back to the origional options before I changed them.
Looks that your current profile isn't working properly.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Disk Utility says everything's fine, but Install disk doesn't find my internal drive as a possible destination. When I startup with Command + S, I get a looping "cannot mount errno = 19" message.
Problem started when I used Tech Tool Pro 6 to "de-fragment volume". Had to cancel that process before it finished because I ran out of time. Thereafter, when I startup my machine normally, I get the gray Apple logo at first, but it changes to a prohibited symbol (circle with a slash thru it) and hangs.
When I startup holding the Option key, I can see my internal drive, but I get the same results as above.
When I startup using the MacBook OSX Install DVD, it does not find my internal drive as possible destination.
When I startup using the MacBook OSX Install DVD and then run Disk Utility, it finds my drive, allows me to "repair" and says everything is fine.
When I startup with Command + S, I get a looping error message "errno = 19" and cannot stop it to do anything else.
When I startup from Disk Warrior v4.4, it does not find my internal drive to do any repairs.
When I startup from Tech Tool Pro 6 and run the "computer check" diagnostics, everything passes but the Volume Structure, which fails at "Volume Extents (B-tree)." When I use TTP's "Tools" option to run "volume repair" it will show my internal drive and allow me to click the GO button, but nothing happens and nothing changes.
I have a Time Machine backup on an external USB drive, but for as long as the internal drive doesn't mount, I can't use the backup to restore.It's a false report and should be ignored.
I would not rely on TT as I've already said earlier even before Grant posted similar advice.
I really think the Rigid Disk Block may be corrupted. This holds the partition map and could prevent a volume from being unmounted. Unfortunately, there is no way to fix that without repartitioning the drive which will remove everything. So, before going down this road I hope you have backups or can make a backup.
Drive Partition and Format
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X.
5. Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1. -
The concurrent io problem when using RandomAccessFile
Hi:
In my application,I have to export the tomcat log(the log file like "localhost_access_log.2010-10-13") to database and the do some analisis.
My way:
start to export log at 00:05:00 every day,at this moment just read the log whose date before yesterday.
For example,at 2010-12-12 00:05:00,the log of 2010-12-11... 2010-12-01 ..2010-11-12...(just check the nearest 30 days).
All of these data are put into one table named "log".
If log of one day is exported successfully,insert one record to another table named 'logrecord'.

It works for now expect we can not anlyzer data of today.
However we need it now.
As far as I thought,I want to create a new table which owns the same structure of the former table "log" used to hold the log of "today" only.
At 00:05:00 of every day,after the normal log exporting(export the nearest 30 days'log but today),export the log of today.
It sounds easy,read the content,parser,filter,insert,just like what I did.
But,the tomcat log file is saved by day.So in my normal log exporting,the log file(nearest 30 days) are not be used by tomcat,I can open/close it as I like.
However if I tried to read the log of today,since the log file maybe used by tomcat for inserting log.
I prefer to use the RandomAccessFile to read the log of today:
But I am coufused by the concurrent io problem:what is going on if I am reading a line while tomcat is writing the line?

That's to say,the RandomAccessFile is reading the line which has not been completed by tomcat.
So,I have two questions now:
1) How about my normal log exporting? Is there anything can be improved?

Lenovo Thinkpad w 540 problem when starts up
I boiught a new thinkpad w 540 laptop and I have a problem with the startup, it usually works well and starts up to windows quickly but somethimes it stick to "Lenovo" page (the page when you wants to turn on the laptop) and stays at that page for maybe 10 min and then windows starts.
I did an overall software update including finger print software but the problem is still remained. Waht should I do?
P.S. I called LENOVO and they told me that I should install Lenovo solution center software, I did that and made a full scan, but it shows that everything is OK.

I am using windows 8.1 and no domain, actually I don't know what you mean but I can say that I also have a old Dell vostro 1510 laptop and I use both of them at the same time, but Dell starts up every time properly but the new lenovo some times start up!!!
The lenovo has a i7 processor and 4G of ram. -

When I startup, the apple event plays! [AWKWARD]
When I startup my MacBook Pro, with no applications running, the Apple Event from October 2014 plays, just the audio. It is really weird. I mean, really weird.
There is no visual, no apps open, nothing going on. It just plays automatically every time i startup.

Using Yosemite.It's likely that one of your login items is causing the problem. Select the Login Items tab in the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences. Delete any items that you don't recognize. If you're not sure which ones to delete, double-click each to test it.

Initialize a web service when Tomcat startup
Hi,
I have a web service, built using Axis 2 1.2, that will do all the initialization at the first service call (e.g. create new database tables, create JAXB objects, etc), but it's taking too much time to do those tasks (at least twice slower than a normal service call with everything ready).
i was wondering if i can do the initialization at Tomcat startup, instead of doing it at the first service call, so that the first service call could always get the highest possible performance..
Thanks..problem resolved... i've created a servlet class to initialize everything, and i have modified web.xml to call this servlet class when tomcat startup.

I have an Epson printer on a Wifi network. Windows 7 desktop is running the network, and my wife's HP Win 7 laptop prints to it just fine. My MacBook Pro running Yosemite won't detect it, and I do have the latest driver installed. I didn't have a problem when I had a Canon Pixma on the network, but when I replaced it with the Epson nothing seems to work. I go to add a printer to the queue and only the FAX function of the printer shows up - not the WS-4530 print function. Does anyone out there have any suggestions? Please??? :-)

Every time I click on a web site that has an email option the browser starts making untitled web pages and never stops unless I turn the computer off. It is very frustrating to not be able to use an email option when offered by a web site. The only way I can send email messages on the Firefox browser is to go into my hotmail acct. and copy and paste the addresses. I don't have this problem when I use the Internet Explorer browser.

Firefox gets problems when 2,7 GB of memory is used by Firefox. Or more. Like 2,8 GB.
It started when I read jpost.com with tens of tabs open. I don't remember how many. But I know there was more than 40.
On the tab I that I was reading, the page turned completely black. Pitch black with nothing else, not even the Firefox interface. It was actually a pitch black shape that looked like a web page in shape. The blackness quickly disappeared and the page was normally readable again. But then it happened again - the page turned black again.
The same page turns black happened again later.
One of my browsing sessions had Firefox slow down so much that you could see scrolling happening when I used scrolling.
Still another time I had 60 tabs open and Firefox worked completely fine without freezes, slowdowns, or black shapes. I could close Firefox by just pressing the red X in the title bar.
Yesterday, I had 50 tabs open and I experienced a slowdown when I looked at the Breaking News headlines. The headlines would show slower than usual. The Breaking News headlines at jpost.com show the headlines a few words at a time until the headline is completely shown. Then the headline disappears and the next starts showing a few words at a time. And speed in general was not what you normally have with a computer that has 8 GB of memory. And a Core i5 processor. I opened two more tabs from the Breaking News section I had opened. After I opened a new window, Firefox froze. I had to close Firefox from the Task Manager by pressing End process. I had used Firefox for 6 hours without ever closing any of the tabs I had opened.
In all of these cases, more than 40 tabs were open. In all of these cases, the slow down or freeze meant I had to use Task Manager and then press End process on the Processes tab. In all cases except the two I describe in the next paragraph, I never close any tabs after opening them. No problems have ever happened until Firefox started using 2,7 GB of memory. Until that point, everything is normal with no freezes or slowdowns.
At two times, I tried to reduce memory usage by closing tabs. However, in both cases this would make Firefox freeze. In one of these cases, Firefox would show something bizarre: there would be about 7 tabs, and one of the tabs would be partly shown. Also, Firefox would show the busy cursor. Firefox did not show how many tabs I actually had. The second time, I tried to close the tabs by clicking Close other tabs in the menu that you get when right-click a tab. The tabs would close fine, but I remember that I opened Gmail and then I did this: I clicked on the Promotions tab. Instead of seeing the tab with the Emails, Firefox showed a busy cursor and the title bar said not responding. Firefox froze.
The reason might be Adblock Plus memory usage. In Adblock Plus home page, developer Wladimir Palant writes in his blog about how Adblock Plus uses a lot of memory: https://adblockplus.org/blog/on-the-adblock-plus-memory-consumption .One more bit of information: I have a Geforce 640 GT graphics card. My graphics card drivers are old- version 311.41. The newest version of the drivers is 340.52. Would a new graphics card driver solve the problem?

Check weather there are any enhancements to the datasource.If yes once check the code in CMOD.Seems there is some discrepency in that.

Design problem when using Area Group Page -- BSP
We have installed MSS ERP2004 and are using the webdynpro based Area Group Page. From this page we have added links to diffrent BSP application (using BSP-iviews in the PCD).
The problem:
When we opens one of these links from the Area Group Page the BSP application is opening but the portal design is not inherited.
The strange thing is that if we refresh the iview the portal design is inherited.
Why did it not work when opened at first?
'Support portal integration' is ticked of in the BSP application.
'Supply Portal Stylesheet' is set to 'Yes' for the iview in the PCD.
We are running ERP2004/WAS6.40.
Anyone with the same experience?

Hello All,
we have created shared folder on multiple client machine in domain environment on different 2 OS like-XP,Vista, etc.
from some day's When we facing problem when we are access from host name that shared folder is accessible but same time same computer when we are trying to access the share folder with IP it asking for credentials i have type again and again
correct credential but unable to access that. If i re-share the folder then we are access it but when we are restarted the system then same problem is occurring.
I have checked IP,DNS,Gateway and more each & everything is well.
Pls suggest us.

According to your description, my understanding is that the same shared folder can be accessed by name, but can’t be accessed be IP address and asks for credentials.
Please try to enable the option below on the device which has shared folder:
Besides, check the Advanced Shring settings of shared folder and confrim that if there is any limitation settings.

Why does text color change when exporting to PDF?
