Problem when inserting blank record.

Dear All,
I have following taskflow structure
execute (master)
createinsert (detail)
pagefragment
my page fragment has 1 master record.. 1 detail record. (which would be blank one except pk and fk generated from viewlink)
when the user saves (commit action click)record the master saves.. but the child doesnot saves
what i noticed is that when i enter any field in af:table(detail) it saves... but i want to insert the blank record to database.
Any ideas..?

With a first glance, I think you have given a wrong parameter value to "validityend". It should be '99991231' not '31129999' .
If your problem still persists, try inserting the data online from PA30. If your input causes no errors, then please state what the return parameter contains.

Indesign CS5 crashing when inserting blank pages

I wonder if anyone else is having this following problem with Indesign CS5?
The program frequently crashes when inserting blank pages, especially several. I've noticed that this problem has something to do with amount of colums in the masterpage.
Recently I had this problem when layouting a book with 9 colums per page. After converting them to guides the problem dissapeared. When using multiple column masterpages it's usually ok to insert 2 new pages a time. More than this the program crashes.
Do I have to install the program again?

Problem with inserting new records in Oracle Forms

I am a new user to Oracle Forms and I need a help from you people. The problem is as follows:
I have a data block in which I can display a number of records. In this data block the user will be able to edit the fields if no child records are found in another table. I have used when-new-record-instance to attain this scenario. All are text items. One item licensee_id which is made invisible by setting the property in property palette and required=no ( as this is the primary key of the table). Also the audit columns are made invisible.
The code for it is as follows:

Every thing is compiling fine but at the run time when I am trying to insert a new record I am receiving the following error:
FRM-40508:ORACLE error:unable to insert record
I also think the pre-insert record is not firing at the time of inserting a new record and saving it. So I request you to please delve into this problem and suggest me how to overcome this problem. Code snippets would do more help for me. If you need any other things from me please let me know. I will see if I could be of any help in that concern because I may not be able to send the entire form as it is.

first of all
pre-insert fires after the implicit/explicit commit/commit_form is issued and before the real insert is submitted to the db.
i would suggest to remove the error handling part for the moment
because i believe you might be getting "ora-xxxx cannot insert null"
and also make visible the primary column to check if the pre-insert is executed.
it would be better to make visible for a while the not null columns of the table/block
i suppose that the block is insert allowed and you are using table as the source of the block and not any procedures or something...

Problem when inserting Spry Tabbed Panels

Just lately i started to get this message when inserting spry
tabs
" ! The structure of this widget appears to be damaged. Go to
Code view and repair the widget, or replace the widget."
Anyone know why and how to fix it? At first i thought it has
something to do with my current page, but when i tried in a blank
html, still got the same problem.
I have CS3 and Spry 1.6.1. I didnt touch the .js and .css
file for this spry. I checked for Spry updates, installed and
reinstalled spry, still get the same message.

Problem in showing blank records in tableview.

Hi All,
The requirement is to show a tableview which is completely(contains no data in any cell) blank. The user enters data as free text.
I managed to create an internal table with blank records and using it for the tableview so that the table view shows blank cells , where user can punch data.
I need to do some validations if the cell is initial(user have not enterd any data and press the button)
Now the problem is that , all cells conatin a SPACE (dont have an idea where it is coming from) and thus cells are not INITIAL.
I tried using condense and replace all occurences of cl_abap_char_utilities=>cr_lf , but the space is not removed.
Any one having any idea , why this space is coming or how INITIALIZE the work area.

URGENT -- Problems when inserting/updating entries in a database tables

Hi,
I've created a custom table via SE11. Then I also created a custom program that will popuate entries in the table that I created.
When I ran the program, there were more than 6,000 entries that should be populated. But when I checked on the table, there were only 2000 entries populated. I am not sure what's wrong with my table. I tried changing the size category in the technical settings to handle larger volume of data but this does not seem to work.
Please advise.

The resizing of DB tables is done automatically by the SAP system so this is not the problem.
It is more likely that your list of records contains duplicate entries.
How does your report insert the records? By using INSERT or MODIFY? I assume you are using MODIFY.
To be sure about the true number of genuine records simply add the following statement to your coding:
SORT gt_itab BY keyfld1 keyfld2 ... . " sort itab by all key fields
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM gt_itab
COMPARING keyfld1 keyfld2 ... . " delete all duplicate entries having same key fields
DESCRIBE TABLE gt_itab. " fills sy-tfill with number of records
MESSAGE sy-tfill TYPE 'I'. " output of true record number

How to Insert Blank Record in Array?

I assume that I need to insert a blank record into my array
to solve the problems below, but am not sure how to do so.
I have a function shown below that is part of a two selects
related Component. My first problem is if no data is passed to the
argument, the select field bound to the function is very tiny (I
would like it to have a default width). Adding a "width" does not
work.
SECONDLY, if there is data passed to the argument (in
Arguments.accountID, i would like to have a blank record inserted
at the top of the select list results. So in summary, if no data is
passed to the argument, the select field is very small. If data is
passed to the argument, the select list is populated, but I need to
have a blank record (option) at the top of the select list.

Error when inserting a Record Form

Hi,
I'm very green with web development and am just trying my hand at PHP. I've set up a database with Mysql and phpmyadmin those are working fine.
I had inserted a record form using the record insertion form wizard and it worked just fine. I deleted it because I wanted some different information and
now every time I try to insert a new form this error message comes up.
While executing onClick in ServerObject-InsRecPHP.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
At line 5694 of file 'C:\Program Files (x86)Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS5\Configuration\Shared\Common\Scripts\dwscriptsExtData.js':this.node has no
properties.
I've gone to look at the file but I'm not sure how to tell if the properties are working or not. I've also googled this problem but haven't found someone with exactly my dilemma. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

If u want the cursor not to move ahead from a particular field when the records are inserted or updated on that field then u can just write null to the
key-next-item trigger of that particular item.
ie IN key-next-item
null;

Custom Oaf form inserting blank records into custom table

Hi all,
I have developed custom OAF form to insert vendor details mapped to custom table.
Oaf form is working fine without giving any error.
In back end blank records is inserting into the custom table i.e. only WHO columns (creation_Date, created_by, last_update_login etc.) values are populating correctly but the
data which i am entering in OAF form is not populating into the table.
Please help, tnx in advance.

ORA-01654 error message when inserting multiple records

Hello all,
I have a Test table with attributes TEST_ID, TEST_NAME, TEST_DATE, STATUS, and want to insert multiple records into this table based on user input form. If user select a value from the drop down list, and the number of records to insert into the Test table, the application should insert that many into the Test table with the same TEST_DATE, STATUS, but TEST_NAME should be the drop down list value + i (1....the number of inserted records). I manually created the form, and wrote a sql for the process.
For example if the user select MUSIC, 3 then data should look like this
TEST_ID TEST_NAME TEST_DATE STATUS
1 MUSIC1 04/06/2010 Y
2 MUSIC2 04/06/2010 Y
3 MUSIC3 04/06/2010 Y
I got the error ORA-01654: unable to extend index TEST_TOOL_ID.TEST_PK by 128 in table space FLOW_13120862905990037739.
The process query
