my IE browser stuck with the error.
Can't execute the code from the freed script.

when i navigate from tree structure 's child to another web dynpro application.

Hi John,
How have you added the required jar files. For DC projects you cannot use project properties and add the jar files to the build path (In case you have followed this method).
You will have to add the public part (i believe it is ejbclient.jar and is generated automatically when you create an EJB DC) of the EJB DC as used dc.

Problem while Creating the LEAD through WEB UI

Hi,
I am trying to create Lead from WEB UI. But, it is asking Sales Rep., but I am not able to find that field in the WEB UI.
And In the Status field, I am able to See only 2 statuses, "Open" and "In Process". I am not able to see any other status like "Rejected By Sales" and "Closed".
Can you please let me know the reason for this. Do we need to do any configuration or Coding Related , to achieve this.

You can enter partners (Sales Rep) in Lead in assignment block Parties involved , for additional status check your status profile attached to transaction lead, also check lowest and highest value in status profile.

for testing purposes you can start the OC4J comming with the Developer Suite and call your report in the browser like:
http://<your-machine>:8889/reports/rwservlet?report=<your_module>&destype=cache.....
You can include in <your_module> the path to your module.

Measuring the Performance of Web Dynpro Applications

I am trying to measure the performance of the ESS MSS WebDynpro applications. I am following the instructions at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/bb/fdc4402418742ae10000000a155106/frameset.htm
but no performance data shows up for the ESS MSS WebDynpro components.
has anyone able to see any performance data for the ESS MSS WebDynpro components?

You are absolutely right.I have displayed all the 150 rows in the table on loading.This is the requirement which I should do for my Customer.(Displaying all rows)
If I give 40 rows to display,it takes 35 seconds to upload the file.But it takes 30 seconds to go to next page of table ,when I click Page Next property of Table.
Is there any way to reduce this display time.

ABAP Web Dynpro: Application Configuration vs Admin Personalization problem

Hi,
I created an application configuration for the application MT_ORDER_APP with a component configuration on RPLM_MT_ORDER_COMP. I changed several Labels and UI Element visibility... and saved.
When I test this application config for viewing an order of type ZX99, I don't see my changes. If I right-click on the page, I see that the configuration Id used is MT_ORDER_ZX99.
Why my Z config is overrided by this one???
By testing in Admin mode, I discovered that I can personalize this MT_ORDER_ZX99 Config.... But then, the changes are visible to all users viewing ZX99 type orders.
How to manage to make my Application Config highest in priority?

Accessing anonymous user in web dynpro application

Hi All,
I have created one web dynpro application for internet site (Anonymous user). While trying to retrieve the Iuser through web dynpro application, it is coming null coz user is Anonymous if i am not wrong.
So I am not able to read the property file from the KM and based on the value coming from the property file i am setting in the drop down.

i did the same thing den code is working and values are coming from the property file but i m going to place this application in the Internet.
There i can't ask user to enter User-Id and PWD.
I tried to use IWDClient's object and through this i m accessing getSAPUser().
here is the code that i m using:-

Short dump when trying to open FPM for Web Dynpro Application

Hi,
I am receiving a short dump while trying to open a Web Dynpro Application in FPM. I go to SE80 and open the Web Dynpro component 'FPM_OIF_COMPONENT'. I then choose the application '/sapsrm/wda_l_fpm_oif'. I then click Web Dynpro Application -> Test -> Execute in Administration Mode. A new IE browser is opened and I then receive a short dump. The name of the short dump runtime error is 'OBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED_NO' and the exception is 'CX_SY_REF_IS_INITIAL'.
I have not used FPM before. I would like to use it to remove the 'Close' button from this application. Do I need to initialize FPM before using it?

Your understanding is not correct, he is trying to execute the application /sapsrm/wda_l_fpm_oif'.
Hallo Jeff,
everyone have suggested lots of possibilities. Nothing works for you. I would suggest the following.
Go and execute any other FPM application which uses FPM_OIF_COMPONENT,does it work ?
If it works then you can narrow down that /sapsrm/wda_l_fpm_oif is not working and you can raise a OSS ticket.
If it is not working then you have to see if you have right BASIS versions to use FPM.

Geo MAP in Web dynpro Application

we are trying to test the GeoMap Functionality in SAP Help we found that some Software Component is required to run the Geo Map Web Dynpro Application as given below
"The GeoMap UI element can only be used with a special software component that is provided by the geographical maps.
This software component which you can use to expand the Internet Graphics Service (IGS) is not included in the delivered SAP Web Application Server package. It must be purchased from a third-party provider. The GeoMap UI element cannot be displayed without this complementary software component. "
can u help me with some pointers to these third party providers.

ABAP Web Dynpro application in new UWL tab

Hi All,
I have been looking for an option to open a web dynrpo abap application in a new tab in UWL which i created. I have been searching on SDN for this but i could only find the help docs which say how to open a task in web dynrpo abap application.
But in my case i want to open a web dynpro abap application on click of a new tab in UWL. The WD ABAP application doesn't have any workflow task.
Also is it possible to restrict the tabs which user see based on their roles ?
please help me on this.

ABAP Web Dynpro Application changes in Administation Mode no longer working

Hi Gurus,
To apply customizing to a standard SAP Web Dynpro application we used to simply run the application in administration mode. After we changed a parameter to allow for theme application this adminstration mode no longer works. Right-Click simply acts as if you are running the application normally. We have tried to remove our parameter but this had no effect.
How can we "fix" this error without creating a new custom configuration which will cause the URL to change?

Problem with starting the Web Dynpro Application

I have a problem with my web dynpro application, which is in our SAP Portal. We have three different systems (development, test, production). In production always the follewing error message occurs:

Hi,
May be you can put an external breakpoint in the method "_get_attribute_rtti"(of class CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO).
From that you can find out which attribute is causing the dump , and try to solve the issue . May be some data dictionary object is not transported to production.(Assuming that you have permission to put breakpoints in production system..:))

Passing a parameter while calling a web dynpro application on portal

I am having a web dynpro application which retrieves data from R/3 system via RFC using Jco destinations define in the Portal.
Now we have different kinds of portals running on the same WAS, now I want the application to run which access data from different R/3 systems thru different JCo destinations.
I need to create a logic such that mu application runs fine on any portal with any Jco destination.
Is there any provision to achieve this.

there's an parameter called "sap-wd-arfc-useSys" you can pass to the application, to change the used JCo-Connection (read more at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/f4/651741f163f023e10000000a155106/frameset.htm)
so, if you're running the WD-aaplication on one WAS and call it from different portals, you have to create three (or six with the META-connections) JCo-Connection on your WD-WAS.
In a WD-application you can access URL-Parameters with:
WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("<your URL Parameter-Name>");

I am getting a Error while executing a web dynpro application :::
: Navigation in Phase WDDOMODIFYVIEW Cannot Be Triggered. Component: Z_WEP_PERSONAL_DATA, View: OVERVIEW, Window: Z_XXP_PERSONAL_DATA
I have checked this error description in ST22 :
What happened?
    The exception 'CX_WDR_RT_EXCEPTION' was raised, but it was not caught anywhere
     along
    the call hierarchy.
    Since exceptions represent error situations and this error was not
    adequately responded to, the running ABAP program
     'CL_WDR_CLIENT_APPLICATION=====CP' has to be
    terminated.
Error analysis
    An exception occurred which is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_WDR_RT_EXCEPTION', was not caught
     and
    therefore caused a runtime error.
    The reason for the exception is:
    Navigation in Phase WDDOMODIFYVIEW Cannot Be Triggered. Component:
    Z_XXP_PERSONAL_DATA, View: OVERVIEW, Window: Z_XXP_PERSONAL_DATA

Looks to me like you are trying to fire a navigation plug within WDDOMODIFYVIEW. According to the rules of the WD Phase Model this is not allowed.

Error while importing EJB model in Web dynpro: Unable to fetch the EJBs.

Hi,
We are getting the below error while importing ejb model to Web dynpro.
Error :
Unable to fetch the EJBs. Check if the selected Enterprise Application contain the EJBs.
I have created the public part-> It has a reference to EJB client and the enterprise application also has reference to the EJB project.The EJB is also added in dependency list.
But still we are getting this error. Could anyone please explain what can i do to solve this issue.

Thanks for your reply.
Please find the steps i followed while importing EJB model in webdynpro.
1. The Entity forwarding permission has been enabled.
2. public part reference has been created and through the reference entity option the ejbDC->Client public part is selected.
I followed all the steps mentioned in the document. But still i am getting that error. In EJB DC we have list of JPA entities and stateless session beans are exposed as a webservice(top-down manner).The enterprise application has a reference to the EJB DC.
I could be able to invoke the ejb service beans from ejb explorer and Webservice navigator.
I am able to insert,delete and modify the records from there.
Please let me know what could i do to resolve this error?
