Problem with AJAX in IE (new) with a good explication

Question

Hi, I´m having a problem with the appendToSelect, only working on IE, that´s why delete the else from the function:
function appendToSelect(pSelect, pValue, pContent) {
var l_Opt = document.createElement("option");
l_Opt.value = pValue;
     if(document.all){  
alert('1 IE '+l_Opt+' '+pValue);
          pSelect.options.add(l_Opt);
          l_Opt.innerText = pContent;
When the IE shows the alert in the value of l_Opt says "[object]" instead of the pValue wich I´ve asigned before, and the process stop without pass to "          l_Opt.innerText = pContent;"

l_Opt.value = pValue;
alert('1 IE '+l_Opt+' '+pValue);
When the IE shows the alert in the value of l_Opt
says "[object]" instead of the pValue wich I´vel_Opt is an object.
You have set the objects 'value' property. If you want to display that property then you should refer to it e.g. l_Opt.value
