Problem with correlation
Hi ,
I am trying a N : 1 scenario using BPM , I have used correlation for this ,
This is the procedure i have used
1 . Block :
Properties of block : Block start --> New Transaction
Block End --> New Transaction
Local Correlation ---> CORRELATION
Two receive steps inside the block .
a. Receivestep1
Properties of Receivestep : Start Process check box ticked.
Activate Correlation : CORRELATION
CORRELATION
EMPNO
b. Receivestep2
Properties of Receivestep :
Use Correlation : I am facing Problem Here
I am unable to use the correlation , when ever i select it n save the Use Correlation text box appear with ? symbol , due to which i cannot activate the integration process , How can i solve it..
Regards,
Syed
Hi Syed,
Once u have activated your integration process than you want to make any changes particularly on correlation editor you will observe this kind of behaviour.
Solution:
Step1: Better to copy integration process with some temp say <int.prcess_name>_temp then make changes in newly created one and activate newly created integration process.
Step2: Delete the orginal int.process and activate change list.
Step3: Copy the newly created int.process with name say <int.proces_name>_temp to orginal name
i.e <int.process_name> then delete the <int.proces_name>_temp and activate the change list.
This is work around solution for your problem.

Problem with Correlations/BPM
Hello,
we have a problem with our PI 7.1.
We have created a ccBPM-Process with one correlation. The process is activated and runs quite good.
The Problem is in the last step (its a receive-step) which uses a correlation.
If we send the message, with the correlation into the process, we get an error of type (permanent error in inbound processing).
Now, when we look into the queue-item (which contains the error) (smq2) we can see, that the generated proxy contains elements of an old data-type, which is already deleted.
Thanks for your help.
Edited by: Thorsten Gawantka on Oct 2, 2008 3:26 PMHi Thorsten,
Run RSWF_CRL_MAINTAIN to check active correlations.
Then, run SWWL leaving blank all the fields (ID, Type, status ....)
Check if there is any work item stuck. Delete all the items.
Refresh all the caches.
Go to SXI_CACHE and check That your Integration Process has the active version that you wish.
Check return code is 0.

BPM problem with correlation/loop
Hello,
I have created a scenario in which I am sending file(using flat file conversion) to BPM to do a collect and send out to external system. I have set up a loop which should exit out when counter ="2." Within the loop, I have my receive step, append to multiline item, and increase counter step. Outside of the loop I have my transformation and send step. The problem is that my inbound message does not even enter the BPM once I put the receive step into the loop. I have verified that the inbound message meets the structural requirements. Can anyone provide a possible explanation as to why message cannot enter BPM once receive step is in loop?
thanksI have created a scenario in which I am sending file(using flat file conversion) to BPM to do a

Your requirement seems to be similar to the below mentioned help section:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/08/16163ff8519a06e10000000a114084/content.htm
Make sure that you have done the settings accordingly and also have defined correlation.....
In IR you can view the BPM under SAP BASIS ---> SystemPatterns

Problems With System Configuration
System Configuration is altered and not repairable. Selective startup is persistent. Normal startup is selected, but the Apply button is greyed out, inaccessible, and system always remains in Selective startup. As a result, Current User profile is probably
corrupted. Windows Store will not install (services are corrupt, SFC and DISM did not work). Outlook profile was deleted, needed to be reinstalled, and can not receive mail. Excel math engine totals values higher than actual amounts. IE automatically signs
into all Microsoft accounts (reset to default settings worked for a log on, but automatic sign in resumed afterwards).
Are there any solutions?
Office diagnostics produced the following report.
Diagnostic Results
None of the Microsoft Office Diagnostics found any problems.
More resources
Setup Diagnostic — File corruption or altered file
The Setup Diagnostic repaired problems with your installation of Microsoft Office. Your Microsoft Office programs should now function correctly.
If your Microsoft Office programs continue to crash, the source of the problem may be a hardware failure or hardware configuration problem. Review the results of the Disk and Memory Diagnostics to determine if a hardware failure is affecting your installation
of the 2007 Office release.

Performance Issues with Correlated Subqueries
Hi,
We have a problem with the performance of correlated subquery. Please see below the query we use;
select &ebenecolval, &attribalias
from freq2 as tab1
where cnt_rank = (select min(cnt_rank)
from freq2_&attribcolval as tab2
where tab1.&ebenecolval = tab2.&ebenecolval);
(We need to get the minimum of the cnt_rnk from the table freq2 for each ebenecolval attribute)
The table freq2 has around 12 million records and so the subquery executes for each of the record and there by reduces the performance.
Can you please suggest any other option to otimize the performance.
Thanks.create a index on (cnt_rank , .&ebenecolval) for the table freq2_&attribcolval and check its performance.
I am not sure about the improvement but you can give a try. -
Problem with output from report to excel, calling the report from form 10g
Hi everyone, I'm having a problem generating a excel from a report, which is called from a form, I'm using Forms 10g. The problem is this: My report has a variable number of columns. These columns appear according to data obtained from the database, these columns are dates, In vesion 6 excel file generated shows the columns one after another starting in column A1 to column CP. I mean that the dates are correlative. But in version 10g the excel file generated shows the same report starting in column A to column T, only shows the 20 dates correlative corresponding to this columns, the rest of the dates are down the excel sheet in groups of 20 dates, it's something, the file in 6i grows across and in 10g grows down the excel sheet. The report (rdf file) is the same in 6i and 10g, I compiled the 6i version to obtain the 10g version. The excel sheet generated in 10g looks like the report was in pdf format, because PDF format, cuts the report in pages and the file grows down, if I generate the report in PDF format it has the same structure excel file in 10g has. I hope yo can help because I have days trying to solve this but I have no succes. If someone could help I could email the excel files generated in two versions. Here I put the code I use to generate the files in 6i and 10g. I have tried with DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET in 10g but the result is the same. Thanks for your help. Greetings for all.

END;There are two problems with your VI. First, the basic logic of writing/appending to a file (Excel, TDMS, anything) should go something like this: Open the file, position yourself at the end of the file, then, in the loop, acquire data and write it to the file until you are finished with data acquisition. When you exit the acquire/write to file loop, then close the file. In particular, the opening and the closing of the file should not be inside the loop.
As others have pointed out, writing to Excel might not be optimal, particularly if you are acquiring data at a high rate (and would therefore be writing a lot of data). We actually use Excel in our data acquisition routine, mainly reading from a WorkSheet to get the parameters of a particular stimulus, but also writing the outcome of the response to the stimulus. As it happens, our "acquisition rate" in this example is on the order of several samples per minute, so there's no problem using Excel (we also sample 16 channels of analog data at 1 KHz -- this gets written as a binary file).
Second, if you really do want to use Excel, use the (existing) Excel file to which you want to append as the "template" argument of the New Report function. Then use the Excel Get Last Row function to position yourself at "end of file", as noted above.
Good Luck.

Problems with ViaVoice under Leopard, especially key mapping problems
ViaVoice's behavior has changed considerably under Leopard. First I will discuss the key mapping problem, since I'm eagerly looking for an answer to this problem. At the end of this post, I will voice some of the other problems I've experienced for those who may be interested. The key mapping problem may be specific to the fact that I use a foreign keyboard with a US version of ViaVoice.
INTRO:
I have used ViaVoice on my Mac for years, more or less without problems (ViaVoice's bugginess is notorious).
Those who know ViaVoice will know that one has two general options for dictation. One can dictate into ViaVoice's so-called SpeakPad, which allows special formatting, editing and dictation error correction within the dictated text, or one can dictate into "external" software such as Microsoft Word, in which case ViaVoice just sends a string of characters to that software. SpeakPad appears to make strong use of the operating system's built-in functionality for character formatting, document formatting, etc.
*MY PROBLEM*
I have a German keyboard on my PowerBook, yet dictate in US English. When I dictated into SpeakPad under Tiger, all characters appeared correctly. However, when I dictated into Microsoft Word using Tiger, I had to switch the keyboard mapping from German to US to get all characters (that means including the characters that are located at different positions on a German keyboard than they are on a US keyboard such as y, z, apostrophes and parentheses) to appear correctly.
Under Leopard, things have changed. Now it doesn't matter whether I dictate into SpeakPad or Word; the results are the same and many characters do not appear correctly.
If set to a German keyboard, y and z appear as expected. To name a few irregularities:
"(" appears as ")"
")" appears as "="
apostrophes appear as "#" and
";" appears as ","
If set to a US keyboard, y and z are interchanged. "(" and ")" appear as expected. Apostrophes appear as "\" and ";" appears as ","
By comparison, if typed (as opposed to dictated, as in the examples above) "correctly" (i.e. based on the letters printed on the keyboard) on a German keyboard set to imitate a US keyboard:
y and z are interchanged
apostrophes appear as "|"
"(" appears as "*"
")" appears as "(" and
";" appears as the symbol for "less than"
Since I don't have a US keyboard, I can't say how it would behave if set to imitate a German keyboard, i.e. if there's a correlation to the results I get when I dictate.
Since I was previously able to dictate correctly into SpeakPad by setting the keyboard to "German" and into Word by setting the keyboard to "US," I presume that this is a problem in Leopard, not ViaVoice.
*OTHER PROBLEMS WITH VIAVOICE UNDER LEOPARD*
In addition to the aforementioned key mapping problems (that may be specific to those of us with foreign keyboards), ViaVoice appears to have lost considerable functionality in Leopard. I cannot access SpeakPad's Preferences and the correction window. Moreover, the traffic-light like window buttons have disappeared from the VoiceCenter (although they work if you click where they should be). SetupAssistent appears to function.
I've written to Nuance about these problems, but have little hope that they will invest the time in producing a patch since they haven't released any updates since 2003.Thrums1,
I've never had to "register" ViaVoice after updating the system. I thus suspect you haven't fully followed my above, three-step advice (particularly step 3).
1) Reinstall ViaVoice from CD.
2) Update to the latest version (using the patch downloadable from Nuance's website).
3) Replace the “temp” and “users” folders (in the "ViaVoice" folder at the upper level of your home directory) by a previous copy thereof. When I say previous copy, I mean a copy from when ViaVoice was still working properly, e.g. a copy from when it was running under Tiger.
As I said, I've gotten ViaVoice to survive several system updates by following the above steps. To my knowledge, the last step is critical since it saves you from having to reconfigure ViaVoice under the new operating system (in this case Leopard). I suspect that ViaVoice is crashing on your system because it's trying to start some module of the SetUpAssistant that is incompatible with Leopard (as many are). If you instead use old copies of the "temp" and "users" folders (from the previous system), then ViaVoice doesn't have to go through the initial "registration" process; ViaVoice doesn't need the SetUpAssistant; and all is (more or less) fine.
Good luck!
BTW, to my knowledge, Dictate only runs on Intel Macs. It thus won't run on a G4 iBook, just as it won't run on my PowerBook G4. -
Issue with Correlation in 11g related to Number of Instances
Hi ,
I am working on the correlation sample application and i observed like correlation is working fine but it seems two instances are creating in EM console,
As per my knowledge when we are working with correlation we should only one instance,
Can anyone tell me why i am getting two instances instead of one ?
Is it a bug in SOA 11g version ?
I had executed many examples and all of them are giving two instances..... one of the site i downloaded and tested sample is available in below link,
http://blog.andrade.inf.br/2010/03/oracle-bpel-11g-correlation-sets.html
Can anyone help me in this,
Regards,
vnraju
[email protected]In case you have multiple instances running, whereas any instance has an unique value started as correlation, when the engine receives the messages for the intermediate receive operation it will be routed without problems to the right instance. In this case, it is not a problem if the engine creates a new composite instance for the intermediate messages.
We have this situation in Production without any problem.
Anyway should be simple to simulate the same situation in your development environment to make sure it works well in your scenario.

There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending this message.
I have a user who cannot receive a message from a particular external sender. That senders assistant (same domain and server as the external sender with the issue) is able to forward the exact same message to my user and it arrives as it should. In
message tracking, I can see the message came in through my smart host, through my front end and to the users mailbox server, where an NDR was generated. We had the assistant forward us the NDR and it says:
There's a problem with the recipient's mailbox. Please try resending this message. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.
From my 3rd party smart host/spam filter, I have a copy of the message in audit and when I forward it to myself, the same thing happens - it generates an NDR when it arrives at my Exchange mailbox server. This makes me conclude that my end users mailbox
isn't corrupt, rather it's something in the message header that our server doesn't like (I've seen this happen with other senders as well, but it is extremely rare and random).
Details/facts of my environment:
-Current production messaging system is Exchange 2003.
-Working on Exchange 2010 co-existence.
-This problem between this sender and us has been an issue before the introduction of Exchange 2010.
-I'm hoping to begin end user mailbox migrations to 2010 and will have the sender try again at that time, but I still have testing to do with our voice messaging system before I can begin moving end user mailboxes.

From my smart host/SPAM filter audit folder, I could see the message was received with a 2 meg "winmail.dat" file. Yesterday, I had attempted redirecting the message to my own mailbox, and it bounced. I decided to try redirecting the message
to a 2010 mailbox, and the message arrived. It had 3 attachments, 1 Word doc, and 2 PDF files. So, this appears to be an encoding issue with the winmail.dat file. Any work arounds/reasons for winmail.dat from being rejected at the mailbox
server? Once it made it to a 2010 mailbox/client, I was able to forward to a 2003 mailbox no problem. -
Problem with ORA-25240 and msgId:=NULL
Hi,
I have a problem with ORA-25240- the documentation says that you cannot specify a message ID and correlation ID int the dequeue- options. However I am getting it setting msgid explicitely to NULL!
The code snippet is:
vr_message jms_message_with_header_type;
vr_dequeue_options DBMS_AQ.dequeue_options_t;
v_message_handle RAW(16);
BEGIN
vr_dequeue_options.deq_condition := 'tab.user_data.header.properties IS NOT NULL AND '
|| 'tab.user_data.get_string_property('MYServicename'') = '''
|| i_MY_Servicename || '''';
vr_dequeue_options.correlation := i_correlation;
vr_dequeue_options.navigation := DBMS_AQ.FIRST_MESSAGE;
-- should be default anyway:
vr_dequeue_options.msgid:=NULL;
vr_dequeue_options.wait := DBMS_AQ.NO_WAIT;
DBMS_AQ.DEQUEUE
queue_name => 'MYQUEUE',
dequeue_options => vr_dequeue_options,
message_properties => vr_message.header,
payload => vr_message.message,
msgid => v_message_handle
Any ideas?
Thank you,
SteffenHi,
the version is:

The example behind the link is not complex enough. They are not using deq_condition and correlationId of the deque- options. If I set one of these values to NULL the code works fine but it complains about msgId if I have both values set with msgId=NULL?!?

Problem with ForEach block in BPM
Hi,
I have a scenario as follows:
Collecting Idocs and send them separately via file channel (Does not make so much sense but I want to get used using the forEach Block)
Loop (as long as "control" != false)
Fork
1. branch: Wait step 1 minute and container operation assign "control" = false (if no more idoc is received, loop stops after 1 minute)
2. branch: receive step with correlation, container operation with append to multiline message, container operation assign "control" = true
Mapping
multiline message to single line message (same interface)
ForEach Block
Send Step with single line message
My problem:
x idocs get collected by the BPM and my file channel posts x idocs to the directory but it is always the same idoc and not x different ones.
Any idea on that?
Regards.
Oliver.Yes, that's the blog I used.
I have used the same interface for Send/Receive Steps, the Multi-Line Element and the Current Line Element. I restricted the Current Line Element to the block. Any other definition would not show up in the dropdown list, anyway.
These are my settings for the Block:
Step Name: Block1
Description: [Blank]
Mode: ForEach
MultiLine Element: Idoc_Multi
CurrentLine: Idoc_Local
End Condition, Exceptions and Local Correlations: [Blank]
Here are the settings for the Send Step:
Step Name: Send1
Description: [Blank]
Mode: Asynchronous
Create New transaction: [Not marked]
Message: Idoc
Ack: None
Receiver from: Send Context
All others: [Blank]
I don't see any error?
Regards.

Mac Crashes - Log indicates problem with Dock
My MAC hangs once in a few hours (fairly random) and the Crash Log seems to indicate it is a problem with the Dock Application. There is no correlation between other applications that I am using and the crash. Many times it happens soon after boot up.
Also, I am not using any widgets and am not synching with an iPhone or iPod.
The Crash Log is provided below and I would appreciate any support on how to resolve this.

Binary images description not availableI have been having similar dock crashes --- I think they are caused by OpenOffice --- OO 3 and 3.01 both seem to have the problem.
I have a MacBook Pro 17 dual core Intel.
I started seeing the dock crashes on a 10.5.6 which had been upgraded all the way from Tiger to Leopard and onward to 10.5.6 including secupd2009-001.
The crashes were always similar to the original poster's. (see below).
After working on this for weeks I wasn't even able to tell for sure if this was hardware or OS software but I strongly suspected the latter.
Finally, I paid $100 for a Leopard DVD, and (in a separate partition) did an erase and install.
The problem went away for a while but now it's back.
The dock crashes restarted on the same day that I installed OpenOffice.
I just now dragged the OO icon out of the dock and instantly experienced a true system crash --- system locked up, will not respond to mouse, or any keystrokes --- had to power reset.
I have just used appdelete to unintall Open Ofice and all its friends.
I am going to try rebooting now and will agment this reply to tell results.

Problem with BPM: no receive step found for message ....
Hello,
I have the follwing problem with a BPM ina PI 7.3 system.
I created a BPM for the following 'process':
We will receive an IDOC from SAP ECC, then call a synchronous webservice and finally send the result back to ECC.
I created my BPM.
Now when I send the IDOC, the interface is triggered but it gets stuck in the queue with message 'No receive step found for message ...'. I get this message when I go to Tx SMQ2 and try to simulate the message
I have already refreshed the CPA cache without result however.
in SXI_CACHE I can find my IP* and the status = '0' ( So i guess this is OK )
I do not use correlations in my BPM.
In my configuration I can find my sender agreement and interface determination towards the service (abstract) which is defined in the receive step of the BPM.
Does anybody have any ideas what can be wrong ?
Thanks,
Erwin

Got a strange thing going on with a tab leader and wondering if anyone else has come across this.
I have a right tab followed by a left tab with a leader. I'm using this for something similar to what you see on film credits where a role is aligned at the right tab and then the actor at the following left tab.
This all works fine most of the time but occassionnally, the leader doesn't show up. Everything is lined up with the tabs just fine, just no leader.
I haven't completely tied down when this happens but it seems to be something to do with the number of characters in the last word of the text that is aligned with the right tab. If there are 4 characters in that last word, I don't see the leader, any other number of characters and the leader is there. I tried all the different leaders, but same problem with all of them.
There's another small inconsistancy with leaders too. The leader has a space before it (right after the last character at the right tab), but it goes right up against the first character at the left tab. Easily fixed by manually inserting a space of course.
PetePete, Peggy and Fruhulda,
I tried to duplicate Pete's experience with identical wording, starting in a blank template and had a similar but not identical experience. Not all leaders displayed, the most direct correlation seemed at first to be the last character of the left text block, but after some manipulation the pattern of displayed and not displayed would change. All was in the same style. I noted that there were problems with Center Align as well as Right Align on the first tab.
Pete, to get on with your work, Insert an Inline, three-column, centered table. Set the left column to Right Justify, the middle column to Center Justify and the right column to Left Justify. Set borders to None. Be done with it. I don't think this bug will be resolved anytime soon.
