Problem with moving Public Folder

In an effort to keep current with the latest Exchange we are moving away from Exchange 2003 SBS, but in doing so we are trying to reduce the amount of Public Folders available.
I have set up a .pst file and am trying to copy the folders into this file so I can delete the unwanted Public Folders. However some of these folders don't want to move giving an error in that I do not have the permissions to move them or they do not exist.
I am logged in as Administrator and have checked the permissions on these folders and they all have Administrator with full access. Even trying to copy them give the same result.
I even ran the MS tool called PFDAVADMIN and reset the permissions on all folders & sub folders I want to move, but still no luck.
We only have this one server and there is no replication currently running on this server with these folders.
Anybody have any idea what the problem could be and what I can do to get these folders to move?

My apologies for the confusion I created. To answer your first question, I am trying to use Outlook 2007 to move old folders from the Public Folders into a pst file in order to reduce the size of the current Public Folder. I am trying to do the move
by logging into the computer as Domain Administrator and then open Outlook 2007 from where I select the public folder(s), right click and select move. When the window opens to let me select the destination folder, I select my pst file I created and click on
OK. This almost immediately shows a window saying "the folder cannot be copied, moved......."and ending off with access rights problems.
However, having run into the access denied problem and giving Administrator owner access on each and every folder I am trying to move, I still ran into the access denied problem. This lead me to believe the problem could either be with AD authentication
or ESM issue.
Digging deeper I used ADSI Edit to look at the Exchange System Objects to see what values are set on these folders I cannot move. Connecting to ADSI Edit, at the top I select domain, in path I left it on LDAP://<myservername>/Domain and well known
naming context Domain. I left Computer=Default. Click on Connect, expand Server, Expand DC, highligh Exchange System Objects
In the right hand pane I noticed there are numerous folders missing/not showing compared to PF in Outlook. This proves to me that there is something seriously wrong with the public folders & replication. From the properties of Exchange System Objects
I look at the proxyAddress value and it shows <not set> Surely this is wrong?
Is there anyway I can fix this by having the PF values in the ADSI Edit like they show in Outlook? Should I go to RUS Enterprise in ESM and run a rebuild?
I am a little stuck and will appreciate help & suggestions on what to do to fix this.

Put the folder into the trash - go to the Finder menu and hold down the alt key whilst selecting Empty Trash.
I've never tried this with a folder full of locked files, but it certainly works with a single locked file.

Problems with a public form, what to do

I am new to this forum, and new to Exchangeserver, allways worked wiht Lotus Notes so please bare with me if my questions is noob to you all, I have googled for my answer, but is still not sure what to do, so here I go.
I have an Exchange 2010, where some people uses a public calendar to order a meeting with meals, coffe and so on, or the use this particular calendar to order the cofee and meals for a meeting, which is planned in another calendar.
When the people acces this public calendar ( which is made in a public folder, is it allways that ? ) it automatically open a particular selfmade form, and this sometime crashes Outlook ( or I suspects this to be the problem )
The problem is not allways there, but suddenly appears ( i dont know when ) , but I have tried to make a new public calendar myself, and made a new particular form from my Outlook client and posted it on the server, and when the problem occour at the other
client PCs I restart the client and acces my new calendar with no problems, but the meeting calendar with the old form crashes Outlook.
The form is made in Exchange 2003 and migrated along with the server to Exchange 2010.
My conclusion is that I have to get the form into exchange2010 mode at first, but what is the best way ?
Is it possible to delete the form ? and how do I do that....I have made an copy of the form on my Outlookclient, and adjustet it a bit, so I guess this should be the first try to save it, and the publish it with the same name as the old one ?
Or can I just publish a new copy of the form, and the change the rules for the public calendar so its linked to the new form instead of the old form ?
It seems that the problem is when you change the date og picking the date in the calendar from the navigation bar, so at the moment if have told the users to acces the calendar, and use the date ( day-week-month ) at the top bar instead, this seems to Work.
Hope this makes a Little bit sence ;-)
Is there a way to check if everything is ok at the server when the problem occours ?

Problems with sent/sending folder, not able to quit??

I am having issues with my Mail 3.6 application recently.
Basically, Mail works perfectly for a few minutes after being opened (it checks new mail, sends mail, etc). Then, after a few minutes, the "Sent" folder turns into "Sending" with that spinning icon that indicates it is sending an email, when I have not sent anything.
Once this begins, I cannot send or save emails, or get any new ones. Furthermore, I cannot even quit the Mail application, and have been having to use the "force quit" option. Today, however, I have not even been able to get it to force quit all of the time, and have been having to shut down the computer.
This is getting increasingly annoying because every time I want to check for or send mail, I have to force quit or restart my computer.
Furthermore, within the "Sent" folder (before it changes to "Sending" unexpectedly), two recent emails are mixed up-- while the "subject" and "to" fields of sent emails look okay, when I click on them, the actual contents of the emails aren't what I sent, they are emails from 1-2 years ago. These two problem emails have been marked as junk by Mail.
Sorry for the long post, but there are issues with my "sent" folder that are making email exasperating and I do not know what to do! Does anyone know what is wrong with my Mail?

Mail wont quit, unless by forced quit, and
Mail keeps getting old mail and the spinning wheel keeps turning forever.

Problem with users Sent folder

Hello,
I have a problem with a users sent folder. If you login to uwc and go to manage folders it says that they are using 30mb. If you go into the folder it only shows 3 messages for a total of 250kb. If I physically look at the mailbox on the server I see all 30 mb.
I figure no problem, I will run a reconstruct -r user/username
That did not resolve the problem, so I ran reconstuct -r -f user/username
That also did not resolve them problem.
I than ran a reconstuct -q which did not find anything wrong.
I tried removing the store.* files and rerunning reconstuct -r -f user/username.
It rebuild the store.idx files but I still could not see the emails in UWC or thunderbird.
I am running JES2005q4 patch -53. Anybody have any suggestions.

I will test this therory out.
I did try removing of the store.* files in the sent folder before I read your email. I ran reconstuct -r -f user/username and the messages did not show up. The the two messages that I could see before were visible under UWC and thunderbird. The other 5 messages could not be seen.
I would have thought that doing that would have made all the messages visible to the user again?
The user is using mozilla 1.6 and I am having them upgrade to the lastest version.
As a side note, I have also logged in as this user and can not see any of these messages no matter what I do. Just kind of weird.

HT4527 Help please!! problems with moving to new computer

I've been trying to transfer my i Tunes library to my new computer and have run into problems. I've followed the directions in the article on the apple website HT4527 using the external hard drive method of transfer, and although this has successfully moved all my music I seem to have lost all my playlists. Also my new computer doesn't recognise my iPod or i Phone anymore.
My old computer was running windows XP but I did have the latest version of i Tunes. My new computer is running Windows 7.
Where did I go wrong?

I suspect you only copied the media folder, instead of copying the main iTunes folder. Playlists, ratings, play counts etc. are all stored in the iTunes Library.itl file that is the core of your library. Migrate the whole library properly and everything ends up on the new system. This is my suggested process.
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.

Small problem after moving music folder

I moved my music folder to an external drive and used the consolidate library afterwards. All the music was moved with no problems and I have no exclamation points anywhere.
My only problem was I had purchased three iPod games. They are still located in the old folder on my Mac drive but they no longer show on iTunes so they have been removed from the iPod. How can I get these games back into iTunes?

I posted just before you did that this was why they were not showing up. Problem is solved. The Phaze game also has a playlist and I got it to recreate the playlist by deleting it then restarting iTunes. I added songs to it and then resynced. No more problems.

Problem with moving folders in LR3.0

Having a problem moving images from Folder A to Folder B, When I highlight 6 photos and attempt to drag and drop all are moved EXCEPT the first photo in the group, then a white box pops us something like unable to move photo #1234. Close the shite box by clicking OK, then do the drag and drop with this same image it works. Is this a bug in LR 3, any other users experience this? Suggestions?

Interlace problems with moving objects using iDVD

I had an MP4 file (created by a 3rd party) from a Hi-8 analog tape which has some interlace artifacts on moving images (left image of boy) but not too bad. When the MP4 files was imported into iMovie 11 the interlace artifacts smoothed somewhat - that was OK (right image of boy). The camera was still and the boy was moving. Vertical lines on stationary objects are OK in all images. These are screen captures from the Mac of the mp4 played through quicktime and the same file imported into iMovie 11 and played. I paused both to take the screen capture.
The completed project in iMovie 11 looked OK when previewed prior to rendering. These are 20 year old videos so my expections were being met.   I rendered the project with iDVD to the hard drive first and then to a DVD with the same poor imaging result on the moving object. I am using a new Macbook Pro I bought in early January which came with iMovie 11 and iDVD Ver 7.1.2 (1158). Running Mac OS X 10.7.3 Macbook Pro 2.3 Ghz Corei7   8GB 1333 Mhz DDR3.
I couldn't screen capture from the MAC DVD player screen to illustrate the poor result (got a checkerboard screen) so I took a photo of the screen and imported that (below). The moving boy on the left is from an iMovie 11 screen capture, the image on the right is the moving boy from the rendered DVD I paused on the Mac (and took a pic of).
Below a close up of the poorly rendered moving boy viewed on the resultant DVD. This translates into a horrible rendition of any quick moving object. It happens with any moving image - i.e. a pan across a room with straight vertical lines like edges of a wall will show as serrated and poorly rendered edge. I used a trial version of the Daniusoft DVD creator with the same result! I am at a loss on how to resolve this issue. Any thoughts out there??

PROBLEM WITH MOVING AVERAGE PRICE

Correct me if Im wrong, but from what I know the moving average price should only change or be recalculated when purchases or goods_recipts are made, otherwise items should be consumed at a FIXED moving average price (cost).
I´ve noticed when looking into the Inventory Audit Report that the moving average price is changing in my installations and I see that SAP BO recalculates it every time an issue is made. This last thing only happens when the total amount of the transaction is rounded or left with 0 decimals and the other types such as prices, rates, quantities, percent, etc. are left with 2 or 3 decimals.
Because of my country settings, the total amount has to have 0 decimals (I live in Chile and we dont have cents in our currency) and the moving average price of an Item should not change when an issue is made, can you help me with this?

The difference between what it shoud be and what SAP BO is calculating is our concern, ie: let´s say the number of transactions is 100, would that difference be negligible?
Here is an example:
Goods issue:

Note that coma (,) is decimal separation and period (.) is the mile separator.
Where the 3rd line is the quantity of the goods issue, the 4th is the moving average, and the 5th is the total quantity of the issue.
So you see 10,49 x 1748 = 1748,39977= 1748(SAP) and then SAP BO recalculates the AVG. Price.
The problem I was talking about was the difference of the stock AVG Price with one hundred transactions or so... now the difference seems negligible (166,7 - 166,681 = 0,011).
Can you see it changes?, is that a bug?

Problems with moving my library to a new hard drive

Decided to add a 3TB drive to my system to serve as a media drive for all of my audio, video, and image files...since my 1TB RAID array was 92% full, and so far, the only problem I've had has been with iTunes. Here's what I did (using Windows 7):
1: Created a Audio folder on the F Drive (the 3TB one),
2: Changed my iTunes Library location to the F:\Audio folder,
3: Used the Consolidate Library function in iTunes to copy everything from my previous library...
This worked...but then the following happened...
iTunes reset itself to use the old default folder on the C drive...
When I reset it back to the F drive, iTunes insisted on copying everything...again. I now have two copies of all my media files.
My apps disappeared in iTunes, even though they were in the Mobile Applications folder.
All of my podcasts disappeared.
My iPhone 4S works just fine when syncing, but my iPad gives me the dreaded "synced to another library...do you want to erase and resync" error message. I don't...since I have a lot of downloaded Zinio magazine content on my iPad that I don't want to reload.
All of my PDF files have disappeared from iBooks...
I don't have the "Purchased" playlist or the ability to re-download purchased content from the iTunes Store.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it...

Go to the top of this screen, click "Support" then type "move itunes library to external drive" into the search bar. You will get a list of many articles. You will find some directions there.

Problem with moving items to the trash

Whenever i move items to the trash, i get a pop up window that asks me to type my password because "Finder wants to make changes". when i type my password, the item is moved to the trash but automatically is cleared from the trash, so when i open the trash there is never anything in it.
Although my trash folder is clean from items, I still running out of hard drive space as if the trash hasn't been cleaned at all
It all started happenning when switched to OSX Lion.
How can I solve this problem?

Go to ~/Library/Preferences
Move the com.apple.finder.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
Restart your Mac.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure you have a minimum of 15% free disk space.

Problem with moving folders around

I was trying to move folder A into folder B (in folder B, there is already a folder named A). And then i realized that the folder A originally in folder B is entirely replaced by the new folder A -- everything in the old folder A is gone. Is it possible to change this behavior?

You probably misread the warning dialog telling you that there already was another "Folder A" in Folder B and asking you if you wanted to replace the existing one with the one you were attempting to copy into Folder B. The dialog would have read:An item named "Folder A" already exists in this location.
Do you want to replace it with the one you are moving?"The warning dialog has two buttons, Stop and Replace: the former stops the move or copy action, the latter replaces the existing Folder A within Folder B with the Folder A you are attempting to move or copy to Folder B. Looks like you selected Replace.
This behavior cannot be changed. I've heard some Windows users complain about this. As I understand it, Windows either offers options or automatically syncs the changes between the folders, whereas Mac OS X performs a true replacement if you select Replace in the warning dialog noted above.

Linux / Gnome - problem with moving JFrame ?

I have a swing application which runs fine on Windows. Yesterday I tried it on a Fedora Linux (latest version) with Gnome, running Java 1.5.0_02 and I noticed the following weird problem. When you try to drag a JFrame window by the title bar to move it, it always maximizes it! When you bring it back to regular size, you see that the window was actually moved, but after that it was maximized, as if you double-clicked the title bar. It only happens with Java windows, all other X11 applications behave normally.
Anybody else have the same problem?

Btw, it only happens if you specify that you want JFrame and JDialog decorated:
setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true)
As much as I like the new 1.5 Swing decorations I guess I will have to stick to no decorations under Linux.
