Problem with Multicolumn Listbox Scrolling

Hello...
Can anybody please tell me how to scroll according to row no. in multicolumn listbox?
I'm working on a VI where I have to test some conditions which are depending upon RPMs... For testing ease I have sorted the conditions according to the similar RPM... But the conditions are scattered in the multicolumn listbox ie they are not in sequence... Suppose the conditions are on row no. 1, 7,15,38,56,82,100,139,180 something like that....
Is it possible to scroll down according to row no. While running the VI...? So that the viewer can see which condition is in progress & it's results...

I have seen a property in a scrollbar that limits the scrolling range to it's maximum.
I'm not sure the same property is available in 7.1.
You might need to remove the listbox's own scrollbar and use a seperate one.

Problem with multicolumn listbox

I have a problem in selecting a multicolumn listbox and display it as an individual elements of a selected array. The problem is that whatever I typed in the multicolumn listbox will be disappeared after run. The only solution to get those individual elements is to type those element as in costant of 2D array and connect it to the property node of the multicolumn listbox. But that's not what I want, I want user to be able to select from what displays in the multicolumn list box and then represents each individual element.

The thing to remember is that although a multicolumn list box looks like a string table, it's really a numeric control. To access the strings you have to use the ItemNames property.
Writing to the property (which is 2D array for a multicolumn listbox or 1D or a conventional listbox) displays strings in the box, reading the property would readout anything you might have entered into it.

Problem with two finger scrolling on s440

Hello everyone
I have a S440 (touch version) and some Problems with two finger scrolling on the touchpad.
First, it isn't smooth, i.e.. If I move my fingers it only starts scrolling after a second or so, basically when I've already stopped (unless I move very slow). It then makes up for the lost time by scrolling very fast.
The more serious problem (that makes it practically unusable) is that it randomly jumps back up, often to the top of the page/document, sometimes just a page or so.
The problems are worst with firefox and acrobat, with IE and the Microsoft reader there's no response time problem but the jumping upwards still occurs.
The problem is there with the preinstalled Windows 8 as well as my own Windows 8 Pro (with the original Lenovo drivers). Scrolling with the Trackpoint and an external mouse work fine, as well as scrolling via the touchscreen.
Does anyone have any suggestion if/how I can fix this?

I also have a S440 (non-touch screen), the scrolling on the touchpad worked perfectly when I bought it, no jumping, and scrolling perfectly smoothly comparable to an Mac. But after an upgrade to windows 8.1 which broke many things ( despite upgrading all drivers), I reset my thinkpad which brought it back to windows 8, everything working normally again except the two finger scrolling which is no longer smooth (moves incrementally now), and likes to jump randomly up or down the page, (not always, but enough to make it irritating. I notice this mostly with google chrome and adobe reader as these are the apps I use most frequently.
So my questions is what drivers or settings do I need to bring the scrolling back to the configuration it was when I purchased my S440? My device manager says I'm running thinkpad ultranav with Synaptics driver version 16.6.4.38

Multicolumn listbox scrolling problem

Multicolumn listbox contains test data. As user starts test, it is required that the horizontal scroll bar move to the right edge so that the right most column is viewable. Second, as the tests are running the multicolumn listbox is supposed to scroll to the test row being run. I have achieved it through the Top Left Visible Cell property. But then user can disable autoscrolling feature. When it is re-enabled, the row being currently run becomes the top row (by scrolling). Here is the problem (with horizontal scroll bar). Suppose user has scrolled horizontally to a certain position. How do I let it remain/retain while scrolling the verticalbar to the currently running row. As I set the Top Left Visible Cell property, the horizontal bar is forced to a position defined by Top Left Visible Cell property's column parameter, that is, I want to make the currently executing row visible, by scrolling to it, but not move the horizontal scroll bar?

Yes that is exactly what I am doing. But the problem is that doing so adjusts the horizontal scroll bar with the left edge of the left most visible column, that is adjusts the moves the horizontal scroll bar to left and what is desired is that it be left where user has positioned it (that is maybe not coinciding with the left most edge of the left most visible cloumn). (Is that even possible?).
Second, how do you position the scroll bar to the right most edge of the multi column list box, whenever such is required, without making the not being used right columns (that is not scrolling beyond the boundary of right most data column) visible?

Adobe Bridge CC -- ongoing problems with Photo Downloader (scrolling, crashing, etc)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions to improve my Bridge CC experience! I have recurring problems, esp. when using the Photo Downloader (in other words, daily problems) -- scrolling either up or down to select photos is a nightmare, as the scrolling either jumps or stops without rhyme or reason, making the photo selection process tedious and maddening. Additionally, if I spend more than a few minutes selecting which photos to load to my computer (i.e., from iPhone), Bridge crashes.
I have been using Bridge for about a decade, and never EVER had a single problem with it until CC. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro, all software updated, etc. No fancy bells or whistles, no peripherals, etc... Just trying to get my pictures from phone and tablet to the computer.

Strange problem with Mighty Mouse scroll ball

Hi,
yesterday suddenly my Mighty Mouse start to have a strange mood. Using scroll ball to go down in a page I haven't problem, but trying to go up don't happened nothing! The problem seems to be software, because the hardware seems to be good.
What can I do?

Take a piece of bright white paper, turn the mouse upside down on it, press down on the ball, and run the mouse quickly in circles over the paper. This will remove all the gunk that's building up on the ball
TIP: To get to the gook inside the scroll nipple use a plastic toothpick.

Problems with datatable and scroller

I wonder, if this behavior is a mistake of mine or a bug in the myfaces implementation.

I have datatable and datascroller component. The table gets the data from bean which is in request scope. The table is dynamic. Each time we hit the page, we can expect a different resultset/rowcount for the table.
problem
When I change the page of datascroller and come back a second time with a rowcount, that is to small to reach that page, I get a empty table. Expected result, would be a page, that shows at least last elements of the resultset.
You can see the mistake, by refreshing the page datascroller.jsp a couple of times, change the page in the scroller and refresh again a couple of times.
You will get results like this:
15 hits, hits 81 - 15. page 9 / 2
23 hits, hits 41 - 23. page 5 / 3
5 hits, hits 21 - 5. page 3 / 1

the datascroller is based on the first attribute of the datatable to calculate the index.
try to set the first attribute to '1' in your jsp. The goal is to reset this value when your data have changed.

Problem with Charms Bar, scrolling in IE 11 and with submitting authentication data

I have very annoying problem: several times per day without any visible reason my charms bar stop showing (its not shows when I move mouse upper right corner but it shows if i click mouse), additionally in IE 11 I can not scroll and in Outlook my authenticationfails
(username and password are ok). Also in metro view if i start search i can not click on any finding in the bar.
I have tried virus scan (nothing), troubleshooting (none), scan trough command prompt (scf i think) (no result) and finally system refresh (problem has occur again). I have also updated all drivers.
I find out that temporary solution is that i log out and sign in again - but after few hours problem appears again.
is there any solution for this?
I am using Win 8.1 on toshiba laptop.

Do you have another user account? Does this issue happen in another user account, according to your descriotion, the problem is more likely a slow response issue: slow response to show the charm bar, slow response on the start screen...have you
checked the cpu usage or memory usage in task manager when the issue happened, any abnormal data? Too much processed running at the same time?
Since you have already refreshed the system, so are there any common between the new and old system? Maybe a third party program running background can be a culprit.
Please take these into consideration and post back with the result.

Problem with Website when scrolling down in IE6

I just created a website using Dreamweaver 8 which used a
left and top frame. All the links in the nav bar in the left frame
open up in the main frame.
Everything works fine in Firefox and IE7, but in IE6, all the
pages were opening up on top of one another, making the page
unreadable. Also, when scrolling down a single page, all the text
would blur into one another, again ruining the page.
The website is www.omarjorge.com. You can see the scrolling
problem by just scrolling down the main page. When I open the file
from the mainframe individually it doesn't have this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry - I scrolled down in IE6 and didn't see your problem.
Also, why are you using such an antique method as frames for
this site? The
reason for using or not using frames should be based on a)
your site's
needs, and b) your willingness to accept the potential
problems that frames
can create for you as developer and maintainer of the site
and for your
visitors as casual users of the site.
I am down on frames because I believe that they create many
more problems
than they solve.
Judging from the posts here, and the kinds of problems that
are described,
the kind of person most likely to elect to use frames is also
the kind of
person most likely ill-prepared fo solve the ensuing problems
when they
arise. If you feel a) that you understand the problems and b)
that you are
prepared to handle them when they occur, and c) that you have
a need to use
frames, then by all means use them.

Problem with importing a scrolling file

Hello, I hope you could help me because i am really stuck
into it:
I have a scroll file, taken from a tutorial, which is linked
to a class. After having customized my file I did try it and it
works fine. The problem is starting when I try to import this file
to an empty MCL in my website. When I have imported all the
elements they do not respond and act like single pieces (es. the
scroll bar is detached from the scroller). What can I do? I am
attaching all the codes and I hope you can help me .
Googling around i found the element that I think it is the
reason I cannot import a proper classed swf.
The function is Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE. the only major thing is
that I do not know how to change my loader class to contain this
missing bit.

Problem with jsf listbox

I have aproblem with my jsf page it contain listbox have event valuechanged on it but when the bage resubmit and the listbox has no item selected it display the following error

You need to make sure that there is a list of select items in the next request. You need to make sure that the selected item (the value of the listbox) matches one of the select items.

I'm having problems with controlling page scrolling with my trackpad in iTunes 11.0.4

When I do upward or downward swipes in my "Music" section in particular, my list continues to scroll and scroll even after tapping to stop - never used to do this. It even starts getting away from me when I'm creeping up or down the list. It doesn't do this in my podcasts list which is much shorter - I've got thousands of music files and only hundreds of podcast files. This is making navigation through my music list very difficult and frustrating.

Have you try the same code on a different clean machine (system.data.dll failing, it might be .net framework mismatch)?
Where exactly is the code failing (which line is throwing the exception?)
It is only failing with a blob?

Problem with dual-orientation scrolling pages

I am trying to load two ID documents as an article for a DPS folio.
One document 'xx_h.indd' which is 1024W x 1060H, the other 'xx_v.indd' which is 768W x 1200H.
When I try to upload the two orientation by Folio Builder>Add article, then select "Import Multiple Articles" and the folder containing the two files I get a warning:
Content generation error.
Unable to find files to be imported as article.
If I import open articles the _h is imported as a portrait article.
I have been successful with this for other articles in the folio where the landscape article has a height less than 1024 px.

I tried importing as a single article but I get an error message:
Content generation error.
[Error: The page size aspect ratio must match the folio aspect ratio.]
Although the horizontal page is actually portrait aspect, being higher than wide, I thought that the file name ending in '_h' would correct that. When I set the width and height in document set-up even though I set it to landscape orientation it defaults back to portrait when I save the file. I seem to have two portrait orientation documents in the folder?
This has worked for me when the _h.indd was still landscape, say 1024 x 825 px.

Anyone else have a problem with Magic mouse scroll after Maverick update?

Now I have upgraded to Maverick (among other minor things) my Magic Mouse scroll often doesnt work unless I close the application it stopped working in and open it again.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a fix? was there any worthwhile reason to update?
