Problem with sun.jdbc.rowset.CachedRowSet.

Hi All,
I cannot not able to import the package 'sun.jdbc.rowset.CachedRowSet'.
while writing the path in the jsp:useBean or import to java class it shows at the compilation time that
Error JavaCompile: sun.jdbc.rowset cannot be resolved.
Is there any jar file needed and if then where i can find it.
actually i need to import this for implementing the large row in paging system in jsp page.
Thanks in advance.

    it was working fine on a windows XP environment prepared for arabic language, but when i had to move to windows vista it did not workStrange. This is likely to depend on the version of the OC you have. The released one isn't supposed to work with Outlook 2003. Please contact Tech Support for the latest version and help.

    Hi,
    Have a look at:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9320116
    Directions on the installation/configuration and requirements of the outlook connector (for 2005Q4 since you haven't told us what version of the comm suite you are using) are available at docs.sun.com e.g.
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/prod/2783#hic
    Outlook connector requires that you have UWC (a.k.a communication express) installed and configured, which has it's own requirements. UWC provides the single web-interface to mail & calendar & address-book. Outlook uses the address-book functionality via UWC, IMAP and SMTP for messaging/email, plus WCAP for calendar.

    Shane.

  • Beginner Has Problem With Loading JDBC Driver Using MySQL

    Hi, I am having problem with loading JDBC driver, and need your diagnotic help.
    1. I have installed MySQL (C:\mysql), created a databse (soup), and created a littel table (VIDEOS). I am able to see the table in the console:
    sql> select * from videos
    2. I have downloaded the latest version of Connector/J (mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha.zip), and unzip the zip file into my C:\ directory.
    3. I copied the mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha-bin.jar to the C:\j2sdk1.4.1_02\jre\lib\ext folder and it is in my CLASSPATH
    4. MySQL server is running
    C:\> C:\mysql\bin\mysqld-nt --standalone
    5. open another DOS window and use the database
    mysql>USE SOUP
    6. succesfully compiled a Java program (javac Test.java):
    import java.sql.* ;
    public class Test
    public static void main( String[] args )
    try
    Class.forName("org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver").newInstance();
    try
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection( "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/soup" );
    try
    Statement statement = con.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = statement.executeQuery("SELECT TITLE FROM VIDEOS");
    while ( rs.next() )
    System.out.println( rs.getString( "TITLE" ) );
    rs.close();
    statement.close();
    catch ( SQLException e )
    System.out.println( "JDBC error: " + e );
    finally
    con.close();
    catch( SQLException e )
    System.out.println( "could not get JDBC connection: " + e );
    catch( Exception e )
    System.out.println( "could not load JDBC driver: " + e );
    7. when I run the Java program (java Test), I got
    the message:
    could not load JDBC driver: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver
    What am I missing?

    Hi,
    I missed to specify test in my last post.
    Try running your program by explicitly setting the classspath when
    running your program . java -classpath c:\mysql-connector-java-3.1.0-alpha-bin.jar test
    Make sure your jar file contains org.gjt.mm.mysql.Driver class

    You haven;t specified the exceptions you r getting ........while starting your default server.
    if u r getting exception about InetClass then connect your system with LAN/Internet then your problem will be solved becoz i m using same location address as you specified, space doesn't matter at all - i think so, it is running fine........

  • Problem with Sun Java Creator JDBC driver .....

    Hi:
    I am new to Java Studio Creator. I am using Oracle Enterprise Edition 8.0.5.0 database to get data from. Through Servers Navigator->Data Sources, I define a new datasource using default JSC JDBC driver for Oracle. However, when I try to test the connection I get the following error.
    [sunm][Oracle JDBC Driver] Internal Error: Net8 Protocol Error
    Can someone tell me what is going on here? By the way I also have Netbeans 4.0 IDE which works fine with the same database.
    -Victor bagga

    I was using the following database URL.
    jdbc:sun:oracle://autoserv.cqtel.com:1521;SID=autosvdb
    The SID is valid because I can use other JDBC drivers such as Oracle's thin driver which uses the Database URL
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@autoserv.cqtel.com:1521:autosvdb
    and it works. However, I can not use the Oracle thin JDBC driver with Sun Java Creator as it seems to be incompatible. Using this driver I can successfully define a datasource and veiw all the data and make all kind of queries through the Server Navigator window but when I try to drop a database table on to a Data Table in my project, nothing happens. If I try to Edit the query on the rowset, the GUI window does not show any Column names and display names.
    By the way, I also have an Oracle 9.x database which works just fine with Java Ctreator Studio. I really like Java Creator as I find it very productive but not being able to make it work with Oracle 8.0.5.0 takes the fun out of it.

  • Problems with sun's jdbc:odbc bridge under Tomcat 4.0

    I keep getting this error when I try to access through jdbc:odbc sun's drive:

    at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:512)
    at java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection(DriverManager.java:171)
    Translating the local spanish message, should be something like: "Can't find data source and no default driver defined."
    I don't get this error if i access through the same driver but not on web server Tomcat 4.0.1. And I don't get this error even under Tomcat with other jdbc drivers (mysql for example).
    Someone knows what is happening here?
    I would apreciate some help.
    Thank you.

    If you're running on Windows, you need to create an ODBC datasource to connect to.
    To accomplish this, you need to go to Start >>> Control Panel >> Administrative Tools >> Data Sources (ODBC),
    2. On the User DSN tab, click add
    3. give it a name, this is the name you will use in the connection string. jdbc:odbc:<name>
    4.Click Select, then find your mdb file, or other database file.
    5. click Ok.

    boolean b = check(tf1.getText(),new String(tf2.getPassword()));
    if (b) {
    l3.setForeground(Color.green);
    l3.setText("Username and password exists. ");
    else {
    l3.setForeground(Color.red);
    l3.setText("Username and/or password does not exist.");
    public boolean check(String un, String pass) {
    String query="SELECT * FROM Table1 WHERE username LIKE'"+un+"'" +
    " AND password LIKE'"+pass+"'";
    boolean b = false;
    try {
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    cn = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:odbc:login");
    st = cn.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = st.executeQuery(query);
    if (!(rs==null))
    if (rs.next())
    b = true;
    rs.close();
    st.close();
    cn.close();
    } catch (SQLException e1) {
    e1.printStackTrace();
    } catch (ClassNotFoundException e1) {
    e1.printStackTrace();
    return b;
    }

    The first thing i notice is that there's a problem with your SQL statement.
    To start with you should probably be using PreparedStatements cause it deals with the passing of variables very well and cleanly.
    But if you must use a straight statement then it should be like this:
    String query = "SELECT * FROM Table1 WHERE username LIKE '"+un+"'" + " AND password LIKE '"+pass+"'";
    The fact that you were mising a few spaces wouldn't have helped. Although if you were to use a prepared statement, it would be a lot easier to understand where things were being passed and you don't need to worry about those single quotes for certain values.

    So I tested this code under Netbeans5 and I don't where to find jar file contains the class: com.sun.messaging.jms.ra.ResourceAdapter
    Other time I tryied to lookup this URL: "java:comp/env/jms/QueueConnectionFactory"
    The result was: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException
    I know it is a small code example but if I'm not able to solve this problem I can't go on with JMS.
    I would be glad by any help.

    Hello
    In my code it looks like that:
    1: System.setProperty("com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory", "iiop://localhost:3700");
    2: Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    3: TopicConnectionFactory factory = (TopicConnectionFactory)ctx.lookup("jms/DailyDestinationFactory");
    4: TopicConnection connection = factory.createTopicConnection();
    5: TopicSession session = connection.createTopicSession(false, Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    6: Topic topic = (Topic)ctx.lookup("jms/DailyBean");
    7: TopicPublisher pub = session.createPublisher(topic);
    8: TextMessage msg = session.createTextMessage();
    9: msg.setText("NewMessage");
    10: pub.send(msg);
    and it work with Sun App Server 8.2.

  • Problem with a JDBC Adapter when connect to Instance on SQL Server

    Hi,
    Currently I'm setting up a communication channel with the JDBC adapter to work on a SQL Server database. When I use a string without specifying the connection instance, the JDBC driver takes the default instance and connects to a database without problems.
    jdbc: sqlserver: / / Server01; databaseName = IntegraSAP1
    The problem is when I need to connect to another instance of it server.
    jdbc: sqlserver: / / Server01; instanceName = SAP; databaseName = IntegraSAP2
    The JDBC driver, in short, send me the following error:
    Cause Exception: 'Error when attempting
    to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException:
    Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException:
    Can not establish connection:: com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException:
    The connection to the named instance  has failed. Error:
    java.net.UnknownHostException: .
    I appreciate your help,
    Regards,
    Johnny

    Not sure, might be port number is not required in case using instance. Give one more try with :
    jdbc:sqlserver:/ /Server01\SAP; databaseName = IntegraSAP2
    A comment from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms378428.aspx
    "SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 allow for the installation of multiple database instances per server. Each instance is identified by a specific name. To connect to a named instance of SQL Server, you can either specify the port number of the named instance (preferred), or you can specify the instance name as a JDBC URL property or a datasource property."

  • Problems with sun update connection server ?

    recently I've been having problems with accessing the update connection web server.
    Can't get in with Firefox sometimes - get blank pages, or 401 error pages.
    Then today with IE, hitting the help page on the top right, I get:

    The URL is correct and it works for us no problem. I don't believe anyone else has reported this problem so I guess it must be working for everyone else as well.
    Can you detail exactly what error you get, and what browser type/version you are using.
    Can you also see if you can access this URL: https://srsnetconnect3.sun.com
