  • Is there a comprehensive list of compatible cameras to connect via firewire?

is there a comprehensive and up-to-date list of compatible cameras to connect via firewire that will work with FMLE?
    I saw this -http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashmediaencoder/FME_DeviceMatrix.pdf
but it's out of date and limited in scope... any more information?
    thanks
    Josh

I'm in the process of trying to get this information for a client. Even with a paid AppleCare agreement, the only answer I'm getting is "look in the forums" and "look on the developer site" (although I have to give credit to the Tier-1 rep who's trying to help me.) The impression I'm getting is that they consider an exact list of header names to be proprietary information for some reason, and are going to great pains to try not to give out the information, but also to not create ill will amongst their customers by explicitly saying "that's proprietary".

  • Can't see mounted volume of my Canon G9 when camera is connected via USB

Why can't I see mounted volume of my Canon G9 (with 8GB SD card) when camera is connected via USB. I just want to be able to download the movie files. Aperture does this fine on my other Mac but on my MBP I use Lightroom and it does not automatically download additional files a la Aperture.
Also can't read via Kensington Multi-SD reader but suspect that's because it is a little older and does not support the higher capacity SD cards

Digital cameras have several modes in which they can connect to a computer.
One mode is sometimes called "Mass Store". The camera acts like a USB disk or thumb drive. It appears in the Finder and files can be copied from it. This obviously is what you are looking for.
Another common mode is called PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol). In this mode, the camera will not appear in the Finder. You use special software to select and transfer the images. There are many applications available to do this: iPhoto, Aperture, Image Capture, the software provided by the camera's manufacturer.
Consult your camera's manual to see if you can select the mode. My Nikon cameras can be set to either of the modes I mentioned. I think I have heard that Canon supports PTP only. I don't have a Canon, so I can't verify this. In that case you could use Image Capture, or Canon's software, or use a card reader. Card readers are usually faster than the camera anyway.

    Adobe Premiere CS6
Windows 7, dernières mises à jour dernier service pack
    Core2Duo E8400
    4Go DDR2
    Radeon HD6950
Disque principal : WD Velociraptor 10000tpm
Disque secondaire : Segate Barracuda 7200tpm

  • How do I access a network camera from internet via 501

Please understand that I am nowhere near being a network guru and I'm even farther away from being a PIX guru.
I have a 501 PIX between my home network and the outside internet. The PIX is connected to a cable modem and pretty much keeps the same DHCP IP address as assigned by the ISP. I have an AXIS 207 IP camera connected to my home network on IP 192.168.1.11. For the sake of illustration say the address assigned by my cable ISP is 123.123.123.1.
What I need to do is to access the camera from the internet. To do that I suppose I need to add some instructions to the PIX configuration but I don't know where to start...I have never even thought about communicating with devices on my home network through the internet. Can someone please provide some pointers or better yet the commands I need to add. The next question is how do I access the camera assuming the PIX is all set up. I don't think I use the camera's address and I don't know how the ISP address would get to a specific device such as the camera - maybe appending a port number or whatever to the IP address I type when trying to access the camera from the internet?
The way the camera works on the internal network is you type in it's IP address in a browser window and the camera opens up a web page just like any url and the video is streamed to a window in the web page.
I hope I've provided enough info to understand what I'm trying to do and I would be most appreciative for any help.
    thanks

I tried installing the commands as provided but am running into issues. Here are the error messages:
    pixfirewall(config)# nat (inside) 1 0.0.0.0
    ERROR: Duplicate NAT entry
ERROR: fail to insert nat entry
    pixfirewall(config)# global (outside) 1 xxx.xxx.114.55
ERROR: xxx.xxx.114.55-xxx.xxx.114.55 overlaps with outside interface address
    pixfirewall(config)#
And here is a copy of my current configuration (including the code prior to entering the changes and the successful changes). Any Idea what needs to be done to fix things?
    thanks

  • My new MacBook Pro and Imac can't recognize my digital video camera (Canon GL2) via FireWire 800 9 pin to 4 pin cable.

My new MacBook Pro and Imac can't recognize my digital video cameras (Canon GL2 or Sony) via FireWire 800 9 pin to 4 pin cable. I've tried two different cables.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Is your DV camera plugged in to AC power (not batteries only)? When you step down from 9 pins to 4 pins, you lose the "power" pins.

  • Can I use a camera for application in Labview and VBAI at the same time ?

    Dear all,
I'm trying to save an AVI file with Labview and make an image process with VBAI at the same time, in one machine.
The error : "Camera already in use" displayed.
My Camera is a GIGE and I work with Imaqdx. I've test the multicast mode but it only operate with several machines.
How can I do this ?
    Thank's to help me,
    Yoann B

I'm not necessarily saying that.  It's been a while since I've used VBAI, so I don't remember all of the capabilities, but if VBAI can do the inspection and recording at the same time, you should be fine.
The trick is that only one program can access the camera at the same time.  That application reserves the camera, thus making it unavailable to others.

  • Final Cut Not Recognizing Camera/Devices Connected Via FireWire

I have a Macbook and a Macbook Pro and I'm having the exact same issue with both of them. I'm trying to capture DV footage into Final Cut Pro 5 via a Sony Digital Video Cassette Recorder GV-D1000 NTSC, I've also tried capturing into iMovie with the firewire device not being recognized there either.
Device control is "FireWire NTSC Basic" and Capture/Input is "DV NTSC 48 khz" I've captured footage plenty of times and never had a problem until now. I've tried just about every audio/video setting there is including anamorphic as I saw suggested in a similar thread and nothing has changed. I've also tried different firewire cables, different devices including canon/sony and a panasonic cameras. When I connect a new device it shows "vtr ok" for a few seconds and then switches to "no communication". I've tried trashing my preferences and repairing permissions. I've updated quicktime/restarted the macs/unplugged the devices etc. I've also tried playing the tape on the sony box first and then opening FCP and attempting to capture, the footage stops playing and I get an error message that "video is not available". I'm capturing to a 500gb external harddrive that I've used before with no problems and is connected via usb. At one point it did allow me to start the capture now process, but it kept dropping a million frames and aborting, now it won't even let me get that far. I'm literally pulling my hair out, can some one PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME??!!?

Exactly what version of QT are you running now?...and FCP5.?
Have you tried the Guiness solution yet?..shut everything down and unplug, wait 15 minutes, plug all back in, then turn on camera/deck first.
Confirm that System Profiler recognizes the camera/deck and the deck is set in VTR mode (not camera mode), then open FCP.
Could be a bad FW port (have you tried other ports on the mac?)
    Or, could be QT incompatibility...

  • How to get Point Grey Dragonfly firewire cameras to work with LabVIEW 2010

We recently got a new computer.  The O.S. is Windows 7, 64-bit.  It has LabVIEW 2010 (also 64-bit) and the Vision Development Module, as well as the Vision Acquisition Driver.  We also have Point Grey Dragonfly Express cameras.  The first trial of using LabVIEW to get images from one of the cameras yielded greyscale images (they are color cameras).  We then installed the Point Grey drivers (flycapture2.1.3.4_x64).  After installing the drivers, the camera was is no longer recognized in MAX.  Does anyone have pointers or advice?  Thanks.

It's been a bit since I've messed with camera settings. But I think LabVIEW requires the NI-IMAQdx driver and the greyscale was from not setting the bayer filter. I can't poke around my camera settings right now, so I can't double check.

  • Publish prerecorded video or image, instead of Camera in ActionScript3 via RTMP to FMS

I'm looking for a way to stream video or image from the desktop to an FMS installation, in the case it does not exist a webcam or a mic. I know that in ActionScript, it's possible to do:
    netStream.attachCamera(camera); netStream.attachAudio(mic);
    but not:
    netStream.attachVideo(file);
Is there another way to get by this without using FMLE?
I found also this question, but no solution    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6035220/publish-prerecorded-or-live-video-instead-of-ca mera-in-flash-flex-air-via-rtm

I'm not sure exactly what your needs are but are you using Flash merely because it can send streams to servers? In other words are you open to using other applications to send streams or is this some small part of a larger Flash based app?
The bottom line is Adobe restricted data generation mode from NetStream unless NetConnection is set to null. That guarantees you can't connect to a FMS using NetConnection.
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/flash/net/NetStream.htm l#appendBytes%28%29 :
To put a NetStream into Data Generation Mode, call NetStream.play(null) on a NetStream created on a NetConnection connected to null
You may want to look at alternative streamers like the one you linked or many others for task. I'm really not sure why they chose to disallow this.
BTW is this an AIR app? If so it may have some legs with a custom solution provided by tapping into an ANE. I haven't researched if one exists already. I do a lot of layered streaming in gaming with other apps like Open Broadcaster and ManyCam.

  • Is it possible to call out the camera's propertypage in labview? The camera is based on directshow.

I'm currently working on a project that contains a part need to call out the camera's propertypage and enable users to change the property.I've learned that the propertypage has already been passed via directshow what we do is just call them out.
This has been achieved in C++ used simply just one function----olecreatepropertypage,this is how it works:first, create a blank frame;then use the function mentioned before to call out the camera's propertypage;finally fill it in the blank frame page and it's done. Thus I think this shouldn't take too many steps in LabVIEW to get the same result. However,I'm new to LabVIEW and I just learned it for couple of months,I really don't know where and how to start,I'm absolutely clueless!
I've managed to come up with two thoughts that might be the solution:1.use the CIN(I'm working on this one);2.use the Call Library Function Node(yet I don't know which dll to call)
I hope someone will give me a hint or something that might work, any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!
    Best regards!

Can anyone please help me,a hint will do.And if I don't make myself clear, please contact me.
