Problems Export/Import on Windows x64 with SQL2005 x64

Hi All:
After successful export with R3Load of a ECC5.00 (Kernel 6.40 Patch level 171) when we import the data into SQL2005 SP1 and after successful import into the target database, we have some inconsistencies in several DYNPROS, we got errors like this when we run several transactions:
BZW Error 2 during compression/decompression ( UNPAC)
AB0 Run-time error "DYNPRO_SYNTAX_ERROR" occurred
and in the trace files we found:

It seems the DYNPROSOURCE table contains bad entries, but the export/import procedure was successful, we also execute "Tools for MS SQL" successfully.

Seems there is some problem in kernals.I would suggest a solution :Solution: Copy <putdir>\exe to $(DIR_EXE_ROOT)\$(OS_UNICODE)\NTAMD64
and repeat phase.
Let me know if it works.
Also check the numbers in instance problem,it should not be more than 20 for windows.

Hi,
when you transfer print forms from one sap system to another, logos are not transfered automatically. these are actually .bmp files which need to be existing in every client. then only when you run your print program logo can be seen in your print output. hence logos need to be created explicitly in every client where you want to run your print program.

Quicktime would fail to write/export to server windows share with "Error -43: file not found" errors

Summary:
With the combination of Windows 7 and Quicktime 7.x, Quicktime would fail to write/export to server windows share with "Couldn't create output movie storage" and "Error -43: file not found" errors
Steps to Reproduce:
Trying to render to Quicktime files using network shared folders as a destination:
Unable to open file. (-1610153459)
The funny thing: it only happens when there are at least two shared folders mapped on the workstation, and the destination folder used for the rendered movie is not the first one.
If we have only two mapped drives, F: and G: for example, and we try to render something to F:, everything works fine and no error is showed. But, when the destination is the G: drive, rendering never works, the error is showed, but a zero-byte file is created in F: (!!). ODD! If we remap F: drive with a different letter, but a letter BEFORE G:, the problem always happens. If we remap drive F: to any letter AFTER G:, making G: the first available network drive, rendering works. Also, simply unmapping F: and leaving G: as the only connected network folder makes render to work.
We do not have a D: drive in our Windows 7 workstations, they are all C: only.
It is a 100% reproducible problem. We tried with three different Active Directory networks and workstations. It has all of the features of a software bug.
Any help would be appreciated.

The workaround seems to be to use the full path to the servers instead of the mapped mount point (ie //server/z/... instead of Z:/...
Regression:
All versions of quicktime 7 in combination with windows 7 client and more than one smb share point mapped in a letter.
Notes:
All software that uses quicktime movie exports showed this error.

Not sure what file your are referencing? Thanks for your suggestion, however, it's not relavant.
It renders fine if you render to either the UNC path or the first mapped drive.
i.e. If you have two mapped drives G: and H:
they both point to \\fileserver\share1\folder
If you render to H: it will fail, if you render to G: it works! Same path, same user, same permissions.
The only difference is H comes after G, so it fails... BUG. If it was to do with anything else, underscores, permissions etc, it would fail on both.

Normally owner of the schema has all privilege of export/import data in his own schema.

Problem Installing 817 on Windows 2000 with RAID Array

I am having a problem installing Oracle under windows 2000 which has 2 x 60 GB discs configured in RAID array. When I run the setup program the cursor goes busy for about 10 seconds and returns back to normal and nothing happens !. No errors nothing.
However when I run the Object Manager in the ods_preinstall directory it starts but in the log file I get the following error message:-

Here are some possible solutions:
1. The installation notes state that you must be logged on as Administrator to be able to install 9i. Are you logged on as the Administrator? Being logged on as user01 with Administrator priviledges isn't the same as Administrator.
2. Is the disk full? If I remember my installation correctly, I needed 3 times the size of the files. The documentation will tell you how much space you need.

Problem exporting in PDF X-4 with conversion in RGB

I need to export in PDF X-4 converting the images in RGB color space with SuperRGB output intent.
The problem is that when I choose "Convert in RGB" ,in the export PDF windows, I can see only the ROMM-RGB ICC profile as output intent.
All the other RGB profile are missed.
If I don't choose PDF X-4 I can see all the RGB ICC profile installed.
Can anybody explain the why?

You can't use a display class profile (i.e. AdobeRGB, sRGB, ProPhoto RGB) as a destination or output intent when you are exporting to PDF/X-4. You can convert everything to an RGB display profile, but not with the PDF/X standard.

Export import as FDF, supported with Reader

There are tow types of button. One is for Export and another one for import as fdf. How can I get supported in reader.

technically it is possible but not with the reader application alone.
as George Johnson has already stated this requires the Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions product in order to be able to export FDF from the Reader application.

Box 1 == 5.0 ( this meanst that this API was added in Acrobat 5.0)
Box 2 == BLANK ( this means that this API does not affect the state of the document)
Box 3 == S ( this means that this API is could only be available at certain times to avoid any possible problems)
Box 4 == F ( this means that this API "Requires forms rights" and these rights can only be provided by the LC Reader Extensions product)

Problem when importing two photo galleries with the same name. Please Help!

I'm not a pro in dreamweaver so I would appreciate if your answer wouldn't be too technical...
Anyway I have experienced a problem. Heres the sotory, I have been making a websie in DW and used Adobe Bridge CS5 to create a photo gallery SWF file that I would use for my website. The problem is that I want to use two different photo galleries on two different pages however when I save my second photo gallery in bridge, it saves every file with the exact name as the first photo gallery I created and is working fine... Thus when I try to import the photo gallery files into my website folder structure, I find that it asks me to rename them because the files from the first photo gallery are called the exact same names.. Now obviously when I try to rename them dreamweaver gets confused and goes to the wrong folder and uses the images from my first photo gallery in the second one.
So I guess my question is how can I organize my folder structure to be able to import multiple galleries without dreamweaver getting confused because bridge names all the files the same. Or how could I save the files through bridge so that they have different names and will work fine when I import into DW...

#1 You cannot have two files / folders or galleries with the same name. Redo your image Galleries with different names.
#2 SWF (flash) is not visible to iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Android or other web devices that don't support Flash Player. These users will see nothing. You might wish to explore other photo gallery / slideshow options that rely on jQuery instead of Flash technology. Some links below. A Google search will reveal many others.

I thought the intention of the BETA/Preview was to have users/developers test the stuff. But if you want users to do it without any help/documentation
you can't really be serious about it. And to use a tool like reflector (which
I now days have to buy) to try to reverse engineer Microsoft code
to try to figure out how it is done is just so wrong in so many ways.
If you guys at Microsoft don't get your shit together very soon, than developers will start using documented platforms where stuff actually works.

Problems exporting / importing symbols across modules

I have a situation where i have to export a function from one module and call it from the other. In linux you typically do an EXPORT_SYMBOL(sym) to make it visible to the kernel. In solaris as long as function is not static the symbol is visible to the rest of the kernel namespace.
But my driver that calls the function from the other module fails to load cribbing "/kernel/drv/sparcv9/betaDrv: undefined symbol"
Here in my code the alphaDrv module has a function "export_from_alpha" which is called by betaDrv module.

I use "misc modules" to handle data transfer between modules.
"Misc modules" can provide shared memory between modules which can be used to store function pointers.

Problem exporting/Importing alerts

Hi all,
We have alerts that calls the same plan, each alert passed a different parameter to the plan.
When trying to migrate from one environment to another (using icommand).
When exporting the alerts using Icommand, the internal plan id appears in the xml file.
As a result, import of alerts fails since when importing the plans they are issued new internal ids).
We tried using mode=preserveid on import, but it does not help since the plans do not contain ids.
Any ideas how to solve this ?

I tried to reproduce the problem but found that the Icommand export of alert refers to the plan by name.
What exactly is the error you were getting.
Created a plan and an alert that runs the plan, exported both, then deleted both and imported them which worked

Problem exporting a Keynote slide show with music to iDVD

HI
I've produced 8 end of show conference photo shows using keynote, set to music, from iTunes.
The problem I got when I exported them to DVD was that the sound file did not burn with the DVD.
I exported each file as a self running Quicktime file, with include Audio checked, at file size large. I removed the slide duration and build duration, just left these blank, and it appeared to run at the correct rate, just no sound...
The movie file and sound file appear as two separate files, iDVD will not let me include the audio file, although the help notes said you can discard this file.
I also tried going into Custom, and checking mix audio, instead of copy Audio, but it was the same result.
Any advice welcome, happy to upgrade Keynote if this helps.

OK I bought Quicktime Pro, but I still can't get this to work!
This was the suggestion from the other thread that Brian Peat made:
"It's a limitation of the export from Keynote. You might try opening the QT movie that Keynote created when you exported in QuickTime Pro and "adding" the sound track back into the movie file."

"I just did a test, export to iDVD and then quit iDVD. I then opened the QT movie that Keynote exports for use in iDVD and use the Add to movie function to add a sound file to the movie. I saved it and opened iDVD again. It asked me if I wanted to refresh my assests and then opened fine. And the audio WORKS.
Now, this only works for videos you want to be self playing, mostly because if you hit forward your music will skip, but it won't STOP you from skipping it if you want to. Seems to me this might be worth the $29 for QT Pro."

Homogeneous system copy using export/import on WIn/Ora

Dear experts,
i need to know the homogeneous system copy procedure using export/import method for following scenario as we are in the process of Data center migration of SAP systemsfrom location to another location.
Source system:
ECC6/BI7/APO(ABAP stack)
OS:WIndows 2003
D:B:Oracle 10g
Target System: New hardware installed on Virtual environment(VMware)
No change of SID
ECC6/BI//APO
OS:WINDOWS2008
D:B: Oracle 11g
It would be great if anyone can share the documentu2019s/links (Not SAP homogeneous system copy guide) which you have prepared for the homog. system copy using export/import on Windows/oracle as i have done the system copy using backup/restore for ABAP stack and export/import for Java stack so far.
Therefore i am not sure about this procedure/prerequisites/checklist needs to prepare as i have gone through the SAP guide but it is not step by step document.

There are two approacahes for your project
1) First wether to use Oracle11g on target database
2) Continue with Database Oracle 10.2 on traget database
If you want to use Oracle11.2 on your target database you have to search the installers which are supported for 11.2 database. If the installers are available then only you can install your target database using Oracle11.2.Other wise t use Oracle10.2.0.4 is supported on Win2008r2. You can use this version of Oracle database to build ur target database.It works fine . Absolutely no problem.
Later on you can upgrade the Oracle10.2 to 11.2 Onwards.
If installers are avialble you can use Oracle11.2 also. There is absolutely no problem.
As per my knowledge installers are available and supported with Oracle11.2.Also check the PAM before arriving on any deciscion.

Export/import oracle9

Hi,
since I do not have a good knowledge of oracle, hopefully somebody may help me to understand better how export/import work (oracle 9)
A colleague as run an export from a production server, now he needs to run the import on a test server but it fails.
Could someone be so kind to let me know what I have to take into consideration before running both commands ?
I explain better:
I have noticed that the DB_BLOCK_SIZE is indeed different on the two servers (production server has a DB_BLOCK_SIZE=4096)(test server has a DB_BLOCK_SIZE=8192)
so the first thing I have seen in the import log file is an error message saying that "tablespace block size 4096 does not match configured block sizes"
So my first question would be: is there any chance to run export/import on two servers with different DB_BLOCK_SIZE ?
Then (due to my ignorance of the subject):
- is there any problem is the SID is different on the two servers ? or it is not important ?
- is it important that the PATH of "*dbf" files is different on the two servers or this fact is not taken into consideration at all (since only 'logical' data are taken into consideration) ?
- do the tablespaces currently used on the production server have to exist in the test server in order to have a successful import ?
Hopefully somebody has few minutes to answer my question.

Are you talking about FULL export/import method, right? Well, Oracle 9i supports multiple block sizes in the same database. So, it gives you an option of using multiple block sizes, which is especially useful when you are transporting tablespaces from another database with a different block size. In this case, will be necessary to set the initialization parameter called DB_nK_CACHE_SIZE in the initialization parameter file. For example, in your case, if your standard block size is 8KB, you will need to pre-create a tablespace with a block size, say 4KB that are currently using on your product server and then you will must set the DB_4K_CACHE_SIZE parameter in your test server. The DB_nK_CACHE_SIZE The parameter is dynamic so you can alter its value using the ALTER SYSTEM statement.

In fact, It is important that the tablespace exists in the target database and doesn't matter where they datafiles are located. In this case, logical data are taken into consideration.

Yes. For a full import method, this is very important. So, you will need to pre-create the tablespaces in your target tablespaces, but in this case they need to be created with 4k of block size, as I said before. Anyways, you will need to make some tests.
Otherwise, if you want to make a test, create a database on you test server using 8k default block size and use the export user method instead.
Eg.:
If you have the user A, B and C using the TBS_1 in your prod database, so, create the tablespace TBS1 using the default block size (8k) in your test database and make this test below:
PROD DATABASE
exp a/pass file=a grants=n
exp b/pass file=b grants=n
exp c/pass file=c grants=n
TEST DATABASE
create the users A,B and C and perform these tasks below:
imp a/pass file=a full=y
imp b/pass file=b full=y
imp c/pass file=c full=y
