Problems to generate JAVA from SQLJ

Hi, i work with Developer 10.1.3, and I try to generate files .java from files .sqlj. I generate java files from de packages in data base, but don´t generate me files .java from the .sqlj generated. Can anyone help me?

Does it happen for a particular work area or any workarea?
Can you give the detail of the Designer client you are using?
The following steps should be follwed:
Select Database as "Source of Design Capture"
Give the correct database connection detail
Give the correct Target Container, Capture Implementation Info and User.
Select the object(s) to be captured
Click the Start button

Problem in generate Java from PL SQL package in Jdeveloper

i have problem in create java class from PL SQL package in JDeveloper.
I use Database navigator of jdeveloper and right click on a package and choose Generate Java then in Jpublisher window choose my view Controller and accept other default values.
I call methods of generated class in the Action of a button in my JSP page, but when I click the button it throw null pointer exception !!! i fund one of generated method return null and it lead to this exception.

Let me ask you another question: Why do you generate java from the package at all?
Where do you want to call the package?

in the generated code. This code look up a datasource (which you have defined e.g. on the Weblogic Server) by calling the method
setDataSourceLocaltion("jdbc/HRConnDS");
This look up the datasource nad stores it in the class variable.

Issue generating java from pl/sql package

Hi,
In JDeveloper (11.1.1.6) I am having an issue generating java from a pl/sql package. When I am in the database navigator I right click on the package and select "generate java". This produces some java files, some sqlj files and a <package_name>.javatmp file. When a collegue does the same all files are generated with a .java extension. Can anyone tell me what I can do to generate all java files?

It turns out that I was running against a 64-bit JDK. (1.6.0_41.)
When I changed this to run against a 32 bit JDK (also 1.6.0_41) my problem went away.
It might be worth noting that my machine is 64 bit.

I guess, it's a bug already reported here :

Re-Generate java from wsdl

Hello. I have a WSDL that I have generated some Java classes for. In the generated classes I code some helper methods. Then I do a change in the WSDL. Then I need to generate new Java classes(?). How about my helper methods then? I don't want to re-implement them in the newly generated classes.
And BTW, if I try to run "Regenerate Web Service from WSDL" (right-click the web service in jDeveloper project), I get a message "The return type xxx.yyy.Zzz of method getZzz cannot be serialized into XML, and no custom serializer has been defined for it". What does this message mean, and how can I be able to "Regenerate Web Service from WSDL" (if the WSDL changes).

when you say that you generate Java classes for a WSDL file, I assume you generate a Web Service proxy - am I right? In this case I suggest to create wrapper classes for those that you want to add your custom code in. E.g the proxy class is re-generated, whereby all custom code gets lost. Instead of working with the proxy class directly, you create a Java Bean that accesses the proxy class. This then never changes.

Not sure if you were able to solve your problem..but I was trying to do exactly what you were trying to do.. access a datasource from a simple Java client. However, you cannot do so by simply writing the Java class and running it. The simple Java client has to be deployed as a J2EE Application Client. The following tutorial shows how to create a J2EE Application Client using the non-J2EE Java class you have written.

The article talks about accessing EJBs from a J2EE App. Client.. but since you only want to access the DataSource, just skip all the screens until it asks you to register the JNDI DataSource resources...

Running the demo which comes with oracles version of po.xsd was OK. What's the difference between the po.xsd from oracle and the po.xsd from W3C? Are there any W3C recommendation for XML Schema not supported by Oracle's class generator?

Problem with CachedRowSetDataProvider.java from Netbeans 5.5

I created a program to read some files and writing the data output into a file. The main purpose of this program is to generate a set of data (reading from multiple files) and saving it into a new table. When I ran the program over and over in order to generate some set of data, only the data output from the 1st-run was successfully written into the file. Below is the code snapshot to write the data output into the file:

Under the "<==" sign is the exception which was falling into my program. It always complains that the fieldKey is null for the "ref_name" field, but the fact is NOT.

Problem with generating WSDL from ABAP

I have encountered a problem.I created a WSDL from a ABAP program,but in the ABAP function module what it does is it inserts value onto a transparent table from a table which let me specify as a virtual table.So after generating the wsdl i am surprised to see the virtual table has come in the output part .I am unable to make out why this happened.
i am mentioning below the ABAP code which inserts value on to a transparent table from a virtual table

where on the abap-server I can find the generated wsdl?
I have downloaded the wsdl to eclipse 3.3 and can call the webserrvice successfull.
But when I try o call the webservice with <netweaver-server>/wsnavigator, I can input the data-fields, but the request answer is that the web-service is not found on the given domain.
So I want manipulate the domain in the wsdl.

Problems when generating forms from Module Generator

I am trying to generate a form from a module in Module Generator. The form is generating OK, but when design editor tries to show the form in the browser it doesn't work.
This is the URL it is trying to use:

Try the following solutions :
1) Check on in IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> advanced -> allow active content to run in files on My Co
mputer
2) Make sure that you have in the Internet Explorer Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Check the check box
Enable third party Browser extensions. It will be under browsing.

Automatically generat Java from dll

with all the methods in de dll.

How many methods are you talking about? Can't you design nice clean native calls for each, use javah to generate the header, and write a wrapper dll for the original wrapper?

Problems keeping generated java files

hi!
          I have a war containing a lot of jsp files.
          I want those files to be precompiled when I start my server, only if the war file has changed.
          I also want to keep the generated files,
          So that the next time I start the server
          It won't need to precomile them (unless changed, ofcourse).
          I set the "keepgenerated" flag and "precompile" flag to true, in the weblogic.xml file.
          i also added:
          <context-param>
          <param-name>weblogic.jsp.keepgenerated</param-name>
          <param-value>true</param-value>
          </context-param>
          in the web.xml
          but everytime I start up the server, it deletes all
          the old generated files, and precompiles my jsp all over again.
          I also tried not using the pre-compilation option at all,
          just to see the effect that "keepgenerated" flag had,

          I tried using jspc to precompile the jsp files and deploy the resulting class files
          (and the jsp files). This way the server never regenerates the files or compiles
          the servlets.

Generate java source cod/ contect menu

I am new to JDeveloper, so please excuse the ignorance. I am using JDeveloper 9.0.3.10.35 and UML modelers 9.0.3.9.4. I am going through the JDeveloper tutorial( Modeling Java Classes tutorial). I design a Class model and i try to generate java source code for some of the java interfaces in the design. The tutorial sates: Choose Generate|Java from the contect menu.
Any idea where is this mysterious conext menu? There is a generate option under model but every thing is grayed out...Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks Lisa. The problem really was with the poor instructions provided and a tired mind. There is no "context menu" ala right click on something BTW, right clicking on the main design page does not do any thing and right clicking a class only gives the properties. Anyway, what was meant, i think is to select Java from the main menu "model" and then select Generate/Java. Now since the code is "automatically generated", the Java option was grayed out and that threw me off.
To descover all this i re-did the whole tutorial with only one class and viola, the code was there.

JNDI error while generating pdf from crystal reports in java

Hi, i want to generate PDF from crystal reports in java. I have the .PDF file with database configured into the report. Following details are available in report.
1. Server Name      = testdb
2. Database Name = testdb
3. User
4. Password
I am using CR XI.
In CRConfig.xml i had given following details.

Actually, the question boils down to; does the framework support the fonts?
I believe that my question re. this working in the designer was valid. The designer does not use the framework, so if it works there, it is either a framework issue or a runtime print engine issue.
I believe if you use the code below, it will list fonts available to the framework:

Errors generating Java classes from XML schema

I received the following errors when generating Java classes from the schema located at: http://imsproject.org/xsd/ims_qti_rootv1p1.xsd and http://imsproject.org/xsd/ims_xml.xsd
XML Spy v4 claims that the schema is well-formed and valid. Could this be a problem with the class generators, or is XML Spy not telling the truth?

Thanks for having a look at the problem. I am using the 9.0.2.0B version with Java 2 Standard Edition Build 1.3.1-b24. The classgen -version option returns 9.0.2.0b-beta - and xmlparserv2.jar and xschema.jar are from the same distribution. Running the corresponding DTD from the same source work fine - I'm just havinf this problem with the XSD. Anything else I should look at?
