Problems with phoneline round 2

Its one thing after another with BT I was informed of some changes which would be a major dissadvantage to me on the new calling plan I subscribed to. So because of this I try to alter the plan. Needless to say I would not have changed my plan in the first place if I was aware of the 7-7 change. I phone up was offered anytime plan with 3 months free. So I took the offer.
But as before the order kept failing.
And to top it all I now cant see my plan online and am told some assets have been removed from my account and they carnt see a phoneline active. (even though my phone still works)
I do not want my phone to go off as it is a very importent service to me. My son lives down the road from me and has health issues this service is a lifeline in case he goes to hospital or if I need to be informed of anything.

Well it looks sorted. Just looked up online and everything is as it should be thankfully.

Problem with undesired rounding of entity attributes of type Number

Hello,
We have an entity object based on an oracle database table. Some of the columns of the table are of type NUMBER ( without specified precision and scale) and are mapped to attributes of type oracle.jbo.domain.Number as is the oracle recommendation and default behaviour. We have a view object based on this entity. We are using JSF <af:table> component to show and edit the contents of the view object.
In the database table we have values in the NUMBER columns like:
-.0000000000000696421833421346
8029.19708029197
-364.9641231232332
The problems is that these values get rounded to the 3th digit after the decimal point, without to have specified any formatting. The numbers shown in the <af:table> look like:
-0
8029.197
-364.964
We tested the ViewObject with the Business Component Browsers and there the values looked fine. In the JSF page we tried to comment out the <af:converter> but the result is the same.
The problem is where these values are rounded to the 3th digit after the decimal point. Is that an ADF configuration?
Please reply ASAP, the case is urgent, we are waiting on that to move our system to production.

I have a similar problem.
I want to load xml data into a table using the OracleXmlSave class.
There are long numbers to import (7638286488771946140)
When the destination field is of type NUMBER(38), everything is alright. But when there is no precision specified (just NUMBER) the numbers are rounded to 14 digits
7638286488771946140 -> 7638286488771950000
When i insert numbers with TOAD, everything's alright, even with "just-NUMBERs".
Any ideas?

Problem with demo : Round-Tripping XML with Oracle9i

We have recently installed a 9.2.0.1.0 database with the intention of trying some of the new XMLTYPE samples.
I downloaded the demo : Round-Tripping XML with Oracle9i.
The first part, Mapping XML into Oracle9i, worked fine.
The second part, Re-composing XML from Oracle9i, doesn't seem to run.

I found the solution :
The database was running with a multibyte characterset (UTF8).
After changing that to WE8ISO8859P1 everything worked fine.
It is strange that Oracle suggest to use UTF8 when installing the new database (9i)
and on the other hand doesn't support multibyte charactersets for several of the XML-products.

Problem with Float - round down error

I have to save in database (MySql) amount which is passed by user. For instance user writes 99999999999. But Float.parseFloat(request.getParameter("amoUnit")) returns value 9.9999998E10 . When I save this value in database I receive 99999998000.00. I want to have in database exactly what the user has written. Should I use differen data type? Thanks in advance.

If you want more precision than float, use double.
If you want exact precision, use BigDecimal.

Q: Problem related to Rounding of quota

Hi Experts,
My rounding requirement is if Quota less than 0.4999 day is disregarded, 0.4999 and above shall be rounded up to 1 day.
I have a problem with following Rounding rule which is configured by me.
26      001      000000           0.49998   x               000000         x
26     002     0.49999 x                      1.00000          1.00000       x
When I am inserting the above rounding rule (26) to selection rule- The quotas are not at all getting not generated.
With out this assignment the quotas are getting generated.
Do I need to configure anything else to get the desired output or is there anything wrong in my rules?

Quotas were not getting generated bcos I had given the rounding rule > SELECTION rules>tab accrual entitlement.
Bcos of that,   the quota was getting rounded on daily basis and finially output was zero.
*Now I have solved issue.*
By giving the rounding in-> SELECTION rules> Total entitlement tab
Now I changed the rule as
26                001                0.49998           1.49999 x                       1.0000     x.
My understanding is as follows -
The decimal part of the lower limit and upper limit should be same .

Problem with rounding in standard cost estimate.

Hi All,
Happy 4th of July!
I have a problem with the standard cost estimate where the system try to calculate overhead costs (from costing sheet) with a fix percentage (9.7%) to the value coming from material consumption costs element.
Let say I have $1.71 material consumption and the overhead rate of 9.7%
The real calculation should be (1.71*0.097) = $0.16587
But at CK11N screen, it shows only $0.16 (two decimal rounding)
Is there a way that I can bump the rounding to at least 3 decimal point to make it more accurate?

My experience says that you can use only 2 decimals ..
Moreover , please have a look into SAP Note : 639410 - CK11N, CK13N: Message CK869 due to rounding
differences.
There a some source code corrections also on rounding differences- check if it helps you also...

I have a dude. When I use select round((9013.99/12)*6,2) from dual; the result is 4506.99. Why?? I think it should be 4507. Is it a problem with sqlplus? or I should set a parameter?

Round Trip problems with FCP, Motion and 16:9

Hello all-
I've been having some problems with FCP5 and Motion 2. I am working with anamorphic footage (mini dv), and my problem lies in trying to use the "send to" feature in FCP to Motion 2. If I send some footage to Motion 2, edit it, and then go back to FCP to look at my edit, the anamorphic flag has been removed... the video is squished and there are black bars on the right and left sides of the film. I can easily fix this if I find the clip in the FCP browser and check the anamorphic flag, then drag and drop that clip over the original in the sequence, but I was wondering if there was an easier way. Is there a way to make it be anamorphic when it comes back into FCP from Motion 2?

Yes, it loses the anamorphic flag on round trip. Just
ctrl/right-click on the Motion project in your
timeline, select Properties/Format and click on the
anamorphic setting column.

BTW- Whenever I check the anamorphic culumn, I always have to re-drag and drop the clip in the timeline again. Is this right? Or should it go ahead and change it in the timeline automatically?

Problems with 'Round Corners'

Hi everbody,
First of all, sorry for my bad englisch. I'm German
Here's my problem:      step 1: i'm writing a word and then i'm using the effect ‘create outlines‘ in the type menu.
                                  step 2: after that i'm using the filter ‘round corners‘
                                   But not all corners are round after that. I've problems with the letter ‘S‘. Just 2 corners are round and the ohter two are                                    unchanged.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?

IDES installation problem with DDIC password

After hours of searching and trying..
I have here a problem during a local installation of IDES ECC 6.0 on Windows Server 2008 with MAXDB. The installation stops in phase 27 of 29 u201Ccheck DDIC passwordu201D - test logon to SAP system failed, with the error message FRF-00007 "Unable to open RFC connection" in sapinst.
The MMC shows in the process list that the following processes stands oon "green": igswd, mag_Server and disp+work are running. The message of servers connection is OK, acts dialogue queue time is 0.00 sec.
I have already searched the forum, but I am not able to logon as user SAP* with u201C060. u2026u201D or as user DDIC with the password u201C199. u2026u201D to change the DDIC password to my password set during the installation (transaction -S000 / SU01). The login fails over the MMC as well as over the SAP GUI 7.10. I have tried this on the client 000, 001 and 800. The error message is u201CSAP Logon Failed - connection closed without message (CM_NO_DATA_RECEIVEDu201D). The SAP GUI gets down with "Work process restartet, session terminated".
What can help to solve the problem? Can it be a problem with the ms loop adaptor? Which static address IP must assign to the loop adaptor? Did i have to update the kernel of the data bank or is this not necessary? Can the information from dev_w help?

The kernel is not patched. I just (try) to install the kernel files from the sap market place
IDES download destination. The install kernel file was: 51033508_7 - NW7 SR3 Kernel 7.00 for Windows / LNX X86_X64. I got an update / upgrade file, which is called: 51033508_8 - NW7 SR3 Kernel .... Upg ABAP.
Can anybody give me an adwise by reading those logfiles? Is the file ok for updating the kernel?
How do I upgrade the kernel by having no .exe - file? May the installation go on after patching the kernel?

Problems with dating downloaded images using Image Browser

When I download a day's pictures with Image Browser to my Mac, and some images were taken before 5 p.m. and some after 5 p.m., any of them taken after 5 p.m. are kicked into the next day's folder on my computer.
My camera and computer dates are correct. Time zone (Pacific) is correct. Even my tech savvy son can't figure this one out. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

Hey RJ, I was able to create it no problem using either Rectangle Tool with 10px roundness (left), or the the Rounded Rectangle Tool (right).

Couple of tips to remember.
- Use .jpg (100 quality) or png for each of the slices for them to show 'smoothly'. (I notice your screen example uses .gif, and it's not recommended when drop shadows are used)
- For the top/bottom make sure the slice extends just a tab bit beyond where the 'corner' on the shape occurs. Thats why your seeing a little 'extra' graphic on your edges.

Spry menu problems with Internet explorer

Hi everyone
I'm having ongoing problems with my horizontal menus and
internet explorer. They work fine in other browsers and with the
generous help of others at these forums I've managed to sort out
most of the problems. But I've hit a real wall with this one. The
menus drop down showing the links OK but you cannot highlight or
click on the options that drop down, they just appear as text. Any
help would be appretiated. My appologies for posting in other
threads also but just hoping for a response.
I am very new to this side of design so simple answers would
be very helpful. Thanks

I have 2 similar problems to the prior posts:
1) I run IE7 and FF and the positioning of my submenus are
skewed in IE only.
2) I am not sure, but I believe I have a problem with my
iframe appearing in my IE7 browser behind all of my submenus. Well,
I know I have a problem with something, but whether or not it's the
iframe I don't know. What I do know is that the box shows up like a
border around my submenus and I can't get rid of it. I suspect that
it may be caused by the fact that my menu buttons are imported
gif's in the shape of rounded rectangles which allows for the
corners to be visible. I actually just thought about it and my
gif's are set to have a white index transparency, but maybe If I
export the gifs without transparency, then that issue will be
resolved. Well I will try that part and see, but any and all
suggestions are welcome. Oh and I just remembered, that problem
with the border around my submenus also has another problem with
the word "false" inside of that border behind my submenus. This
problem again is only in my IE browser, and it is hard to see it,
but I have no idea why that is there or what it's from. I ran a
search in my SpryMenuHorizontal.css page and in my html page for
the word 'false' but nothing turned up. The only document related
to this issue that contains the word 'false' is the
'SpryMenuBar.js' document.
