Problems with Preview and HTML

Hey people,
im relatively new to using dreamweaver and currently doing a
wesite for a friend. i did the layout in photoshop and sliced it
into tables and cells in dreamweaver and set each sliced image as
each of their bg images.
can anyone tell me why...
THIS
THIS
when previewed in dreamweaver looks like...
THIS
and when opening the saved html file as itself it looks
like...
THIS?
i have no idea why and am afraid to give my friend the html
files without knowing it won't look like that for him.
the images are located in a /images file.

> all images are linked via a images folder as
/images/picture.jpeg
Actually not.
What you describe is a root relative link - that means that
all links begin
their path at the root of the site.
That's what you have here -
background-image: url(/images/grey.jpg);
But it's not what you have here -
background="middle.jpg"
Enable temp files in PREFERENCES | Preview in Browser, and
you'll see those
images in preview (after you fix the link I show above).

  • Problem with Preview and PSD files - random gray square

    Hi guys, hope you can help...
    I've got a problem with Preview and PSD files.
    If I open in Preview both an original jpg straight from my reflex and the photoshop version of the same picture, the psd file presents a gray square (of what it seems unrendered image) in a random area of the photo (sometimes in the center.). The square is quite big...
    If I zoom in or zoom out it disappears...if I scroll to another photo and then back to the psd, the square it's there again...sometimes in a different position.
    I've tried the same psd on my older iMac with leopard...and got no problem at all.
    I suspect it got something to do with my Ati...
    (this is the second iMac 27...the first went back for gray banding on the lcd screen and flickering and yellow tinge........)
    Thanks for your help.
    DAve.

    maybe I'm onto something...
    I've just found out that opening Preview in 32bit mode (instead of default 64bit) works flawlessly with any psd files. If I switch back to 64bit mode, Preview is much faster but the gray square comes back...
    It seems like the i7 is much faster than the Ati....
    Any more realistic ideas?

  • Problems with Preview and Digital Camera

    Hi All,
    I bought a Konica Minolta DImageX1 camera and the first few pics I took and downloaded them onto my ibook ans view them on Preview everything was alright. However, everytime I now transfer pictures to my laptop and when I view them with Preview it displays the following message:
    "Preview cannot display the image properly. The file may be corrupt. Reason: Can't cache file". After this the image is loaded anyway.
    But when I transfer the pictures to my Windows PC and I view them there, I get no warning message. And I downloaded an Image Viewer freeware from Versiontracker.com and it gave no warning message as well.
    Any suggestions as to what could cause this problem with Preview?
    Thank you in advance,
    Eder

    Hi Eder,
    I have exactly the same problem with you.
    But what I am using is DiMAGE Z6.
    What I am concern is that if this affect the image quality.
    Anyone who know how to solve this, please advice.
    Thanks and good day!

  • Firefox 2.0 - Problems with Webdynpro and HTML iviews

    Hello all,
    We have implemented the SAP Netweaver portal 7.0 SP 10. Everything works fine on IE 6.0 and 7.0. When we tested it on Firefox 2.0, we encountered the following problems:
    1. The links on the detailed navigation area are missing
    2. Web Dynpro applications dont work very well. Eg: Clicking on "Next" button does not take you to the next view, OVS does not work etc.
    3. SAP transaction iViews(HTML) don't show up at all.

Can someone help?

    hi

    Change this line
    <TD><%i%></TD>to this
    <TD><%= i%></TD>
    That won't compile. You would need:
    <%for(char i='A';i<='Z';i++) {%>
      <TD><%=i%></TD>

  • Problem with PREVIEW and photoshop JPG's

    hi ...
    just trying out the new version of Adobe's CS6 Photoshop;
    exported a dozen files as JPG's for an album, but my app,
    "JAlbum", which I normally use for HTML albums rendered
    them as totally black, and when I try to open them in PREVIEW,
    (they look normal when they open), and RE-SAVE them,
    PREVIEW will not allow the save, and the estimated file
    size on the "save as" is ZERO KB.
    would anyone have a clue of what is going on?
    thanks!

    Check the rights where you're trying to save them, or change the Save location for a test.

  • Problem with preview and pre-render

    evry day
    can you help my for my problem
    sorry for any mistake in ortographe

    Can you provide some info about your system? Graphics card? Screeen resolution? Operating system? What input device (mouse or tablet)? This error has cropped up elsewhere recently, but since the person asking did not provide any details, we were unable to resolve it. If you are having difficulty posting in English, feel free to use your native language. We have English, French,Spanish, German, Russian and even a bit of Japanese covered by people here, so someone might be able to even answer in that language, provided a solution is available.

  • Problems with Preview and changes made to images

    i occasionally use Preview.app (v3.0.9) to rotate or crop image files (jpegs in this instance). if I then close the image, save changes and re-open, the image is changed. however, the icon doesn't update to the new orientation/crop and if I drag-and-drop the image into Mail.app or Photoshop.app (i'm using a very old Elements 2.0) I get the original image without the changes.
    is this a fault or am I just not understanding the way it's supposed to function? surely there's a way to crop/rotate images on a Mac without 3rd party software like Photoshop?
    (i'm not talking about images i want to retain in iPhoto either, i'm a business user and don't use iPhoto for work )

    Here's several freeware graphics apps that you might want to try.

    Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Reinstalling OS X Without Erasing the Drive
    Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
    When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list.  Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
    Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
    Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

    The end result is that some things do not seem to work properly, such as my HP printer. Would anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

    Thank you for your response. Originally, I had a problem with Airport and ended up reinstalling Snow Leopard. Since then, when downloading upgrades etc, such as HP printer drivers, iTunes etc., towards the end of the download when its running the script, I get this message: /System/Library/Extensions/comcy_driver_USBDevice.kext

    Sometimes, the download hangs and is unable to complete. The main problem I've encountered so far with an application is when I use the printer to scan an image via Preview, it's blank: there's nothing there.

  • Problem with axis2 and Tomcat

    Hello,
    I am having a strange problem with Tomcat and axis. I have a webservice that uses axis2 for wsdl2java class generation. When I compile my project in maven a Test is performed. During the test a glassfish server is established and the project is deployed -everything work great with the expected results. However when I try to deploy the webservice on tomcat it has some problems.
    At first I tried to call axis code in a POST method that takes a MultiPart message. The code is as below:
    *@Path("identifyWavestream")*
    *@POST*
    *@Consumes(MediaType.MULTIPART_FORM_DATA)*
    *@Produces(MediaType.APPLICATION_XML)*
    *public String multipartTest(com.sun.jersey.multipart.MultiPart multiPart) throws Exception {*
    *// get first body part (index 0)*
    *//tomcat shows that the first error is here (line 122 is the nest one with bodypart)*
    BodyPart bp = multiPart.getBodyParts().get(0);
    BodyPartEntity bodyPartEntity = (BodyPartEntity) bp.getEntity();
    InputStream stream = bodyPartEntity.getInputStream();
    *//the rest of the code either saves the incoming file or implements the wsdl2java axis interface - neither works.*
    And the tomcat error is:
    java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0
    java.util.ArrayList.RangeCheck(Unknown Source)
    java.util.ArrayList.get(Unknown Source)

    com.sun.jersey.spi.container.servlet.ServletContainer.service(ServletContainer.java:359)
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:729)
    It was strange to me since this simple approach of handling a Multipart method worked for me earlier. Then I decided skip the handling of multipart method and just call the axis code. But the results also caused an error. I then tried to call the axis code in a simple @GET method (to cross out any issues regarding the multipart) and the result where the same. Again everything works on the maven- glassfish test. In this case the tomcat error is the following:
    javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpConnectionManager.getParams()Lorg/apache/commons/httpclient/params/HttpConnectionManagerParams;

  • Problem with PropertyChangeListener and JTextField

    I'm having a problem with PropertyChangeListener and JTextField.

    If you want to listen to changes in the textfield's contents you should use a DocumentListener and not a PropertyChangeListener:
    http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/events/documentlistener.html
    And please use [co[/i]de]  tags when you are posting code (press the code button above the message window).
