Processing of a Form when a WEB Service is not available

Has anyone else noticed this or has a work-around suggestion? Note I am very new to this product. Background: We tied a WEB service call to a button on our PDF Form. When the user started the process they filled in the form but did not use the button to access the service to verify the data on the form. When they clicked on Complete it appeared that the process started but it never arrived at the first operation in the workflow. Upon investigation it was found that the workflow never started. It was as if when the workflow engine saw that the WEB Service was offline it threw the request away. When we loaded the form into WorkBench we did get an alert box telling us the server was unavailable and that the WSDL could not be loaded for the Data Connection. As the first user interaction is not coded in the workflow we are not sure how to trap this incident and prevent the user form thinking their process was accepted by LiveCycle for action. I very much doubt that not calling the web service could have caused any problems directly.
Does the workflow start correctly if you completely remove the web service invocation?
How do you know that the process didn't start?
Is the process long-lived?
Do you have an xfa-form as an input variable of your process?
Have you added the correct Workflow fields to your form, or just a single submit button?

Error when deploying web service do not have a property of the name return

Using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6 and Oracle 11g database.
I created entities classes from tables then created a Java Service Facade and then a web service from the facade.
When I delpoy (to Integrated WLS) or try to test the web service I get:
javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: class src.jaxws.persistXXX do not have a property of the name return. (I put the XXX there because if I remove the class from the web service then another persist* class gives the same error.
I've checked the definitions and there's not a name 'return' anywhere other than return statements in the methods.

I found this in a google search:
OK, I've solved this myself. I was using -p with wsimport to name the package of the generated class. When I removed this from the generated class, everything works fine! I'm not really sure why but I think it's because the wsdl is using target namespace.
Does JDeveloper use this switch during deployment? If so, how do I remove it? Thanks, Dave

Create Web Service Option not available for BAPI Functional Module

I am trying to create a web service from a standard BAPI functional module referring following document

I am facing the same issue as mentioned in this thread (But for me answer is not OK)
Web Service Creation
When I click the FLIGHT Business Object and navigate to the Tools tab, I cannot see Create Web Service option.
Also when I try to start the web service wizard from (SE37 -> BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST) Utilities Menu, after specifying all the details, after clicking Finish, I get an error "Access Refused"
I verified the authorization to current user and gave him all the authorization required viz. (SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN, SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN_BIZ, SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONSUMER etc) all 7 of them.
My system is ECC 6.0 700 Release

Hello,
For creating Web service definition, you have to be a registered developer. In SAP Service Market place, you will get developer access key. This should be entered in DEVACCESS table by creating any development object.

Web Services do not work in NSW2004S ABAP Sneak Preview

I can't connect to the XMLA service (even though it's active in SICF) in a NW2004S ABAP Sneak Preview. Can you confirm that web services are not available in the Preview?. Will they work if i apply a patch the the SNeak Preview?

Web services - Could not create stubs on some servers

My error is related to web services.
The problem is that on some servers I can consume webservices
and on some other not. The servers have the same configuration - at
least it look like that.
The calling page and the webservice component are in fact

When I took a look to the stubs directory I found that all
java classes are compiled except for:

After investigation it turned out that one of the libraries
was using java.rmi.RemoteException.class which was quite old.
Apparently when the servers were starting they were launching
the libraries in different order. So some of them were using old
version of java.rmi.RemoteException.class and the AxisFault.class
that inherited from it couldn't compile.

Passing form attributes to web service

Hi all,
We have a client requirement to provide provisioning to one of their resource for which connector is not available. We have written a web service for the same. Everything is working fine. We have defined a dummy resource object, Form and process definition for the same. Under process definition we are calling the web service on create user task. This resource provisioning actually takes 38 attributes and for now we are passing all the attributes to the adapter (defined all the variables in adapter and passing them in the task). In the OOTB connector i have checked and found that oracle is not passing the attributes directly but passing the configuration data. I also want to do the same but couldn't able to find out how to pass the attributes from Process form to adapter by some referrence instead of mapping all the attributes in the task. Can anyone please help me in this portion? Thanks a lot...

"Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service

Running PB 12.1 Build 7000. Using Easysoap. Error ""Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service". This error does not appear to be coming from the application code. Noticed that there were some erroneous characters showing up within the header portion of the XML ("&Quot;"). Not sure where these are coming from. When I do a find within the PB code for """" it gets located within two objects, whereas they both reference a "temp_xml_letter". Not sure where or what temp_xml_letter resides???   The developer of this is no longer with us and my exposure to WSDL and Web Services is rather limited. Need to get this resolved...please.

Maybe "extraneous" is an incorrect term. Apparantly, based upon the writeup within Wiki, the parser I am using does not interpret the """? How do I find which parser is being utilized and how to control it?

Error when consuming Web Service in SAP R/3 ECC 6.0

I have created an asynchronous Web Service in SAP R3, which I want to use in SAP PI later.
When I test the Web Service using WS Navigator or XMLSpy the following error occurs:

I tested another synchronous Web Service developed by me in the same system, and the error does not occurs.
I just searched an OSS Note and does not find anything.
There are some restrictions in Web Service type developed in SAP R/3?

The Web Service is not called inside SAP R/3 but externally. For testing pourpose I actually use WS Navigator and XMLSpy.

I'm now able to save the retrieved xml in a hidden text field and create dynamic table, and I'm able to fill this table from the XML, but the problem is that I could not find the correct way to loop on the xml, what I'm trying to say, the table will have number of rows with the data of the first row only, so can you tell me the right way to loop on the xml!

How to reference complex data type when consuming web services in WAS 620?

In WAS 620, I tried to consume a web service in ABAP. I was successful when the web service returned one or more simple data type. But when the web service is changed to return a complex data type (eg. a structure with 3 elements), the call to the web service did not return anything.
Do any of you know how to reference the individual element in the structure of an output parameter in a web service? I use the add_parameter method of the CSoapDocument class to identify the output parameters.

Hi,
I am using EWS Java APIs and passing OAuth tokens to fetch data from office 365 mailboxes.
Because I am developing Web APIs I preferred using "Application Permissions" defined in Azure active directory application for Office 365, and used "client credential flow" OAuth flow to fetch OAuth token specific to application which will
allow "Have full access via EWS to all mailboxes in the organisation".
After fetching token with the procedure specified in the document "http://blogs.msdn.com/b/exchangedev/archive/2015/01/21/building-demon-or-service-apps-with-office-365-mail-calendar-and-contacts-apis-oauth2-client-credential-flow.aspx"
I passed this token to EWS Java APIs,
it gave me error saying:
microsoft.exchange.webservices.data.ServiceResponseException: Exchange Web Services are not currently available for this request because none of the Client Access Servers in the destination site could process the request.
I tried similar thing with EWS managed APIs for .net. Got similar error.
Can anyone provide some help and direction to resolve this error.

Gracefully throwing a error when the web service is down

Guys,
I have web service calls in my application. (through web service data control).
My Appliacation throws exception when the web service is down. i want to my application to throw some meaningful error on the UI.
How this can be acheived?

you can use a custom error handler defined in the DataBindings.cpx file or use a declarative exception handler in ADF Controller

Processing WS-Security headers within a web service

Hello,
I have created a service with WS-Security (from a WSDL using jdeveloper) and deployed it on OC4J. Within the service implementation, I need to get some information from soap security header, that is, my service needs to process some security headers. However, in my service implementation, I only have access to information contained inside the SOAP message body (parameters methods).
Could anybody be so kind as to tell me how can I process WS-Security headers inside a web service implementation, please?
