I think we need to be realistic ;)
KTML4 - isn't going to happen, it was dropped, other 3rd party products are surfacing,
sadly, we'll not see that again.
Calendar was a separate Interakt application (not really a toolkit item)
like the ADDT form control date/calendar picker - so I doubt that will happen
That said - it would still get my vote for a comeback.
Ajax tool - need to specify EXACTLY what tool and how it would expand on the ADDT and how it would relate to SPRY and other Components now being made available for DWCS4 ie YUI etc

Creating Progress Bar for File Upload

Hi, I'm trying to implement a progress bar indicator for a file upload in WebDynpro, without very good results.
I'm using a fileupload UI element, a TimerTrigger and a ProgressIndicator UI elements for this purpose.
It seems that using the fileupload UI element the iview is locked during the file upload, and therefore it prevents for the timer triggered action to be performed (this action updates the progress bar).
Additionally I havent been able to capture the transfered bytes from the upload. Maybe I'm using the wrong elements?
How could I achieve this. Has anyone done it?
I would really appreciate all the help I could get.

How can I get progress on a file upload

Hello,
I have a process that is uploading a comma delimited file from the user PC and then creating it on the UNIX box, from that point I use an external table definition to read the contents of the file and process it.
All of this works fine on a smaller file, however, I have been asked to modify another process to use the same methodology. The problem is this other process uses files that are over 200 meg in size. I have set up progress bars for the creation of the file on the UNIX OS, as well as the processing, however, the load of the file from the desktop PC to the file store is taking over three minutes so the users really need to see a progress bar to show them the process is still working and how long until completion.
Is there a way to retrieve the progress of the upload procedure so I can relate that to my users after submit on the page containing the file browse object?

How to get the status/progress of a file upload

I am trying to design a form where users can upload images/files. However they will be allowed to upload larger files in the range of 50 to 100mb. This would obviously be a good idea to give them some indicator that the upload is progressing, however I don't see any way to report this status back with CFFile.
Is there another way of doing it, or is there a new feature that I just don't know about that can give me the upload progress?
Note: The upload will be done via ajax, so javascript options are a possibility.

No Progress Bar during file transfering

Hey everyone,
I'm using MAc 10.5.8 and when I transfer data, the progress bar is not appearing anymore. Is there any way that i might have accidentally deleted files for that by using CleanMyMac and if so is there any way to get the progress bar back?

No Progress Bar during file transfer

after installing yosemite recently, when i move a file to and from an external drive, i do not get the transfer bar that shows the progress of the move. any help fixing this? I have tried deleting the "com.apple.finder.plist" from library (& restarted) and repairing permissions. when i go to a different (clean) user account, i can get the progress bar when i move files.

How to read file asychronous and show progress bar??

Hello Everyone,
I am new here and this is my first post here. I made a desktop application in Adobe flex builder 3. In the application I took the path of a folder and merge all the file present in that folder in a new file. I want to show the progress bar when file merging, because it take some time to merge large number of files. I read and write files synchronously. I made the progress bar but when I called it before the file merging happening nothing happened.
How can I do this??

if you are using desktop im going to asume you are using air. if thats the case, im not to sure however on the web what you have to do is update the progress bar with some action.
you can also consider using the
cursorManager.setBusyCursor();
and when you are done then
cursorManager.removeBusyCursor();

Using the jprogress bar for file byte array downloads

I am currently using a byte array to send files back and forth between computers. To show a file is transferring i change the mouse to the hour glass but would like to use the jprogressbar.
To send the file i read the file from one computer into a byte array, and then send it through an objectoutputstream. I am not sure how the file is sent or received though. What can i use to judge the length of time it takes to get one file from one computer to the other? In doing a debug, it looks like the oos sends the file to the other computer, and it is basically like an uploading process. is there a way for me to judge or tell how much of the file that is being uploaded is left?

If i know the file size how can i then check the progression? I would also like to use an progress bar on the upload of a file to the other computer, and for the download of the byte array to the other computer i could first give it the file size. if then what can i use to base my progression off of?
i looked at this and it says i am not able to do it, but thought there might have been improvements in the jdk since then, and i might not be seeing them

Because ColdFusion code starts executing after the contents of the
file to be uploaded is received by the server. In other words when
you're trying to show the progress bar there's no need for a progress
bar because the upload is at 100%.

Progress Bar has disappeared

Hello all, just wondering if anyone else has managed to fix this problem:
When restoring files onto my Nokia 6600 fold I've managed to delete/move the progress bar graphics file. Now when the phone is thinking I get shown a question mark instead.
Any help most welcome.

I have the same problem with 6300i. After firmware updrade from v3.43 to v 5.60 everything works, but when I restore backup (sms, contacts, settings, gallery...), the progress bar dissappears and the image with question mark is shown instead.
Any idea? Where is stored the image of progress bar? Thanks.

My files are not uploading; progress bar stops and I get an error message

Last night (dec. 23) I was trying to upload 30 photo files. The progress bar works, but it either stalls or at the end I get an error message. These are time critical, I have a client waiting for the photos. I tried sending just a couple of photos, but the same issue happens. Please give me a solution.

Have you been able to upload your files? What is the error that you're receiving?
For starters, please try the following:
Clear the browser cache and try again.
Try a different browser (see System requirements | Acrobat.com for a list of supported browsers).

to file upload with progress bar tutorial he has. Granted it
looks like it's just an animated gif letting users know their file
is uploading; if you want realtime upload information displayed for
the user you're gonna have to look at something like Flash with the
power of actionscript to achieve that result.

Possible to show file upload progress for web form submission?

I just made a simple form as a test. There are 3 files being submitted here via a "web form".
Files being uploaded in this case are of these sizes:
110MB
9MB
24MB
I'm testing functionality that will let a print shop's clients upload their files. For larger files they'll use FTP but this "order form" does a lot of business for them so we're trying to replicate in BC.
My problem is that I am wondering if there is a way to show the "upload progress" as a total %. Such as a visual status bar, etc.
As of now the only way it's showing is in the default browser status bar (chrome in this case):

I read somewhere that the limit is 150MB for an upload. Wondering if that means 150MB TOTAL as in 3 files combined in my case. Or If I chose to allow 3 files to be attached would it allow for 450MB?
Also, if you do a user submitted web app instead and allow people to attach files that way, does the same file limit apply?
My second issue is that the upload speed seems to be SLOW. I know it's not my connection because on my non BC site as well as another with the same form, the files upload fairly fast. But on BC it just crawls and on a few tests I get this:

So if i have 3 files to be uploaded, the max allowed is 750MB correct? (just wondering if when uploading its 250mb total or per file).
Guess i'll do something fake to make it appear its working with a loading graphic or something.
My web browser (chrome in this case) shows the % uploaded. I wonder if all web browsers do the same. I havent tested yet.
If only there were a way to have javascript or something grab that same #% from the web browser itself and just format it to appear where I want on the form along with the % uploading.
Anyone know if that's possible?

If I could grab that (uploading 19%) from the browser and format it into css/html i'd be gold.
Then find if similar browsers do the same and write some js for each browser specifically to grab it.
