Properly using the rec() statement
Hello,
I have been working on a piece code that I am stuck on. I taking actual data from the current time period and using it for plan data. I am stuck at the point where I am trying to set the time period as the future year. I am getting the error message as unknown dimension....TIME.YEAR = 2013. It takes the category dimension. I set the category dimension as Plan. When I take the time component, it takes the values that I inserted input form (actual) and puts it in the plan for that same year. Any suggestions on correct the issue or suggestions where to go to do research it?

round tripping to motion has always given me much better results. Being able to assign tracking points makes a big difference. After Effects will also do a great job.
What format are your source clips? If they're interlaced, you might get better results if you deinterlace using compressor first. If you try this, be sure and turn on frame controls and set the deinterlace quality to "best/"

How do I use the CASE statement in the where clause?

I have 2 queries that do what I need to do but I am trying to learn how to use the CASE statement.
I have tried to combine these 2 into one query using a case statement but don't get the results I need.

Using the Insert statement in a Java program without hardcoding the data
hello.
this is james mcfadden. i have developed a program called Demo.java, which is used with another program called QueryTableModel.java (a program that allows data to be viewed in a JTable). The Demo.java program displays a menu, connects to a database, allows the user to add data into the database and allows the user to view data that is already in the database. I have a problem with the Demo.java program. I have hardcoded the Insert statement in it. How do you use the Insert statement to put data into a database without hardcoding the data?

You need to upload font files ITALICI.TTF. Go to SE73 . Click on Install True type font and upload the italic file on to your system.

How do I use the button states in an action script?
In my Captivate 8 project I use smart shape as buttons. The buttons have different images presented dependent on the state of the button. I have also created a simple action script that shows what happens when the button is pressed. When the button has been pressed the normal state of the button appear. I, however, want the down state of the button to remain visible util the user presses another button. How do I accomplish this? Is there variables for the buttons different state or how can I create that?

MadeleineWhen you talk about 'actionscript' do you mean advanced or shared actions? You cannot write actionscript within Captivate, only Javascript. If you use advanced/shared actions they'll be converted on runtime to either Actionscript (for SWF output) or Javascript (for HTML5 output).
The states in shape buttons are the normal way buttons behave (not only in Flash). If you are indeed using shared/advanced actions, and you want the down state to remain until the next shape button is clicked, you'll have to go the way described by iFlashAppsToo. Create shapes that have the look of the down state, make them initially invisible and group all those shapes on one slide. Add two statements to the shared/advanced action (please do use shared actions, you'll save time):
Hide Group so that eventual down mimicked states on previously clicked buttons disappear
Show Im_Downx to show the down image for that button -

I'm working on a program that will, among other things, process inbound files. If the filename specified does not exist I thought I would use the MESSAGE command to generate a runtime error using a parameterized Text Symbol which would have the name of the errant file; something like this:

However, when I add the "WITH dobj" (where dobj is a string var w/ the name of the file) it won't compile saying that the "WITH dobj" statement is unexpected (regardless of where I put it).
But that got me thinking - is this the best approach? This program will be ran and the selection screen saved as a variant for each input file but it is entirely possible the file may not be around when this program fires off so I have to account for that possibility, along with processing errors.
Is there a recommended or "best" practice for handling errors in applications that will be ran in batch? If so, what are they?

Using the continue statement with an Iterator
Hi everyone, got a problem; I am trying to use a continue statement to return to the start of a for loop. I am using an iterator in the for loop, not a conventional incremental/decremental counter. What is happening is that I am getting a NullPointerException because i.hasNext() is returning false. I know however, that there are subsequent records in the hashmap. Has anyone encountered this problem before? or has anyone tried to use continue with iterators? any help would be greatly appreciated!
example of my code - This is important bit of loop:

How do I use the Session State to manage bind variables & download xml data
I have a Report Query with more than 30 queries; many have bind variables in them. I'd like to create sample xml so that I can develop my word templates. When I try to download the XML data Source for Layout, it doesn't ask for the bind variable values.
How can I download the XML data without replacing the bind variable values in each of the queries?

"AUTO RUN" (it is under General Settings when you select your Report Definition)
Next, you should define the parameters in the corresponding parameter Section.
Its simplest form is of "Text" type so you will have to enter values at runtime.
Then these parameters can be used in your query as bind variables.
When you run the report it will prompt for parameter values. Enter these values
and you would get a sample of your XML data.
This should work and you should not find any issues.

i have a HP OfficeJet J4580 all-in-one. I love the printer and it works great! my problem is i have been getting hundreds of print jobs that are called "Serial Number Job". i have installed all the latest driver and software and am still getting thes
