Property code for Shared Member

Hi,
Could you please let me know what is the property code for Shared Member. I am trying to create a text file and trying to create some members as shared. Something like for Dynamic Calc we have "X" so I need similar kind of code for Shared Member.
Thanks

I am not sure some thing like that exists.
It is not required for building shared heirarchy.
You can use dupgen or duplev fileld properties in the dim build rules. By the way you can tell Essbase to tag them as shared.
Parent/Child reference build method automatically shares the second time encountered member under differant parent.

How do I obtain my original verification code for "Sharing" photos in PhotoShop Elements 8?  My e-mail address has changed.

In Organizer, go to preferences (Under Edit menu)
Then go to sharing under sharing you can change the email address to your latest email address, click ok and then send the email verification cod again.

  • Error codes for shared variables in Labview 8.5?

I am trying to use Shared Variables in Labview 8.5 to enable real-time loops (similar to some of the examples in "Using the LabVIEW Shared Variable", published Aug 28, 2007).  I created it to hold the result of a 16-channel A/D converter (so a 16-element I16 array).  To avoid losing samples, I used buffering, with a buffer of 5.  To test this, I made a pair of VIs, one a producer that stuffs a 16-element I16 array into the shared variable "every so often" (controlled by a timed loop), and a consumer loop that reads the shared variable and does something with the data.
If I think of the buffered shared variable as a Real Time FIFO (as the article suggests it is), I was curious how I would know (a) when the queue was empty, and (b) if the queue had overflowed.  Both are necessary if this is to be a practical means of exchanging data -- you want the producer and consumer to run more-or-less at the same rate, but only the producer is deterministic.  The consumer needs to be able to run "faster" if it falls behind (for example, because it is writing data to disk), but you don't want it to read data from the shared variable if there's nothing there.  [One can always read a shared variable, after all -- as the article states, it simply "holds" the last value written to it].
Snooping around, I discovered that there are "error codes" associated with the shared variable.  In particular, a code of -2220 (FFFFF754) seems to signify an empty queue (or a shared variable that has not yet been written to), while a code of -1950678981 (8BBB003B) appears to be "buffer overflow".
Is this documented anywhere?  Are there other "error codes" that would be helpful to know?  Is there some rationale to these seemingly-random numbers?  [It would help to develop code to utilize shared variables if there was a bit less "magic" and "mystery" involved].
For what it is worth, with a buffer of size 40, I could generate 16 I16 values at 1 KHz (simulating sampling from a 16-channel A/D at 1 KHz) and pass it to a consumer node that (a) read from the shared variable until it was empty, then (b) "went to sleep" for 20 msec (simulating "doing something else non-deterministically"), and not miss any data (because I could then empty the Shared Variable RT-FIFO, which should have been half full, before it overflowed on me).  Not bad throughput -- I bet I could push it even higher.

    Hey Bob,
The errors are documented in the LabVIEW help:
    Shared Variable Error Codes
    Real-Time Shared Variable Error Codes
There are several error messages for buffer underflow/overflow depending on the settings of the network or RT FIFO buffers. In particular the -2220 and -2221 are useful for the producer/consumer use case. For example (as you probably know) the consumer can flush a variable using the error code (see the attached image).

  • Consolidation Property on Shared Member

Can you set the consolidation property to a shared member different than its stored member? If I edit the outline I seem to have no problem setting a "-" on a shared member where its "+" on the stored member. When I try to do this via a load rule I am unable to do this.

Yes, this is possible. It sounds like your issue has to do with trying to do the build in one load rule.
If you want the same "member" to have different aggregation properties, it is all about location, location, location. You need to add your properties at the same time you are building the hierarchy so it knows that the property in the file belongs to the member under a given parent.
    My usual methodology is to...
    1) build the primary hierarchy in one build, with the properties for the stored lev0 in that load rule.
    2) Secondary build for the shared rollups. Set the properties for the shared member in this load rule.
If you just mention a lev0 member in a build and say it is a has a "+" property, Essbase won't know which one you are referring to, but it definitely won't result in the two members with different properties.
    Good Luck!!

  • Dimension Build File - Member Property Codes

I am building a Dimension Build File.
What is the code to create a Shared Member?
    I know the following codes:
    Code
    N Never Share
    O Label Only
    S Stored
    V Dynamic Calc and Store
    X Dynamic Calc
Or is there a different way to specify a member as a Shared Member in the dimension build file?
    Thanks,
    Dave

There is no property for a shared member. If you are using a parent/child build method it will automatically load shared members unless you specify don't share. To do a load as a level or generation build, you have to have the file in a particular order and use the dimension build tab of field properties. There is a section in the admin guide that shows you how to do it.
But for using level builds it would be something like
Lev 0, Product Lev 1, product Lev 2, Product Lev 1, product
    100-20 100 Products Diet Colas
Notice how the second lev1 defines the alternate rollup and it would cause a shared member to be created

  • Shared Member: Global Property Change

    Hi,
I am working in DRM( Web Version) 11.1.2.1. I have some issue with Shared Member Property change.
Is there any way to restrict/change the Shared member Global property value without changing its base member value? Is there any system preference for this?
If anybody know any other way to restrict it than please tell me, its urgent.
    Thanks in advance

I don't really understand your question, you are talking about BSO loading dimensions then extract then ASO, what actually is your question?
If it is there a property for shared members then no there is not, here are the list of valid member property codes - http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_dbag/dotrules.html#dotrules_2

  • LabVIEW could not generate code for the shared variable. You must open the VI in the project that contains the library where the shared variable resides

    HI
When I put a network shared variable with fifo RT activated on my diagram, the arrow is broken.and I' ve got this message:
""LabVIEW could not generate code for the shared variable. You must open the VI in the project that contains the library where the shared variable resides""
If I uncheck FIFO RT option for this variable the arrow isn't broken anymore.
I 've no idea how to correct this weird error?
Autodeploy is on, and I've check copy / delete in diagram in tool/options\diagram

    Hello,
    I don't reproduce this error.
    Could you send your VI?

  • Can't add Shared Member using API

I would like to create a lot of shared members.Using API I do it as following according to documentation: ESS_MBRINFO_T MbrInfo; memset(&MbrInfo, '\0', sizeof(MbrInfo)); strcpy(MbrInfo.szMember, (char*)mbrName); MbrInfo.usShare = ESS_SHARE_SHARE; sts = EssOtlAddMember(getOutline(), &MbrInfo, ESS_NULL, hMbr, &hNewMember); When I try to add shared member, then sts = 1060051.So I have to change names and after correct them manually.Using HAB API I can't add shared member too.Regards,Georgy

    JLundan,
I want to thank you for responding to the thread I started on the forum at java.sun.com. Your solution to my problem of needing to print the code of the html pages that the file I included generates was just what I was looking for. However, I have some further questions to ask, if you don't mind. To clarify my task I should say that your rephrasing of the problem is accurate: "You wan't to display the contents of the HTML file that the web server produces in response of client's request?"
Yes, this is what I need to do, but also it needs to display the source code of that html file that the server produces in response to the client's request. Also, in this case, I am the client requesting that the server return some html file, and I'm not sure where the server is. But the webserver.java file that I shared on the forum is on my local machine. I was wondering if I could modify this webserver.java file at my home so that any html file the server returns to me would automatically display the source code. This is a school project of mine and I am stuck on this one thing here.
Further, where would I put the "foo.html" file so it can be written to?
    FileOuputStream fos = new FileOutputStream("foo.html");
    fos.write(bytes);
    fos.close();
Thanks so much for your help. I look forward to your response, at your convenience.

  • Issue with User Variable Due Shared Member Security Access

       Hi All,
One of my client is using User variable in data form to define POV.
Now if user has access to 2 member in the Dimension, he should able to see 2 member when he try to assign the value to this "user variable"
but he can see some of the parent member name ,this parent name has only one child which is a shared member of the 2 base member for which he has access.
    For Example:
    Entity Dimension:
    E1 (user has access)
    E2
    E3(user has access)
    E4
    Alt_Entity
    Alt_Entity1E1 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity2E2 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity3E3 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity4E4 (sharedmember)
User is able to see below members, when he try to assign value
    E1 (user has access)
    E3(user has access)
    Alt_Entity1
    Alt_Entity3
Now if I add another member under this parent, than user are unable to see this parent member.
    For Example:
    Entity Dimension:
    E1 (user has access)
    E2
    E3(user has access)
    E4
    Alt_Entity
    Alt_Entity1
    E1 (sharedmember)
    E2 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity2E2 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity3
    E3 (sharedmember)
    E2 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity4E4 (sharedmember)
User is able to see below members, when he try to assign value
    E1 (user has access)
    E3(user has access)
    Any idea?

Sorry, but actually its the parent that needs tagging with "Never Share", not the level 0 member, so Alt_Entity1 and Alt_Entity2 etc, see Essbase DBA guide
    understanding Implied
    Sharing
The shared member property defines a shared data relationship explicitly. Some
members are shared even if you do not explicitly set them as shared. These
members are said to be implied shared members.
If you do not want a member to be shared implicitly, mark the parent as Never Share so
that the data is duplicated, and is not shared. See Understanding Shared Members for an
explanation of how shared members work.
    So in the example above
    Entity Dimension:
    E1 (user has access)
    E2
    E3(user has access)
    E4
    Alt_Entity
    Alt_Entity1 - Set to "Never Share"E1 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity2E2 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity3 - Set to "Never Share"E3 (sharedmember)
    Alt_Entity4E4 (sharedmember
    Thanks
    Anthony

  • Essbase Error log issue for Shared Members

I am loading Shared members for a custom dimension in Essbase.
Error log is getting created as below.
\\Record #1 - Warning: Account Only attributes cannot be set in non-Accounts dimensions
    PR0011,APP_PR,Shared Member,
But that specific member is getting loaded.
I am loading only shared member in this load and all records are shown as getting rejected even though most of them are getting loaded. This is causing issues in finding out real rejects.

  • Not Getting Key Code for ALT key

    Hi,
I am having some trouble in getting key code for alt key. Can Any one help in it.
I am sharing for source code the way I am trying to do it.
    import flash.events.KeyboardEvent;
    stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, function(e:KeyboardEvent){trace("Key== "+e.keyCode); txt.text=""+e.keyCode;});

    Hi Amanpreet,
The code i posted was a working example to detect Alt + click. You can try pasting it in the Actions panel of a blank AS3 file, Test Movie, press Alt and Click on the blank area of Stage and see that the trace statement appears in Output panel.
Flash does not return the keycode of Alt key directly but lets you detect if Alt was pressed or not using 'event.altKey'. This boolean property is available for both Keyboard and Mouse events.
You can try another sample: (This will only work when you Test Movie on Browser)
//Place a dynamic textbox named 'txtStatus' on stage to display the text.
    stage.addEventListener(KeyboardEvent.KEY_DOWN, keyHandler);
    function keyHandler(e:KeyboardEvent) {
           txtStatus.text = e.keyCode.toString();
           if(e.altKey)
                txtStatus.text = 'alt pressed';
When you Test Movie in browser, you'll need to click on the Stage area once to set it in focus. Also make sure to embed your fonts or set 'use device fonts' Anti-alias setting to display the text correctly.

  • (ESSBASE) How to move shared member into hyerachy

Hi, i've this question: How can I move a shared member into the Essbase Outline hyerarchy when I load metadata?
I've tried using the "Allow Move" option into "Dimension Builiding" session of the rule, but the system gives me an error...

I have a dimension called "clienti" structured in this way:
    Clienti
    - GER1
    -XXXXX 1
    -A
    -XXXXXX 2
    -GER2
    - YYYY1
    - YYYY2
    - A (shared)
    -GER3
    - ZZZZZ1
    - ZZZZZ2
    - A (shared)
Now, using a rule that reads form SQL source, I wanto to transofrm my hyerarchy in this way (the member "A" changes his parent in all hyerarchies [Ger1, 2 and 3]):
    Clienti
    - GER1
    -XXXXX 1
    -XXXXXX 2
    -A
    -GER2
    - YYYY1
    - A (shared)
    - YYYY2
    -GER3
    - ZZZZZ1
    - A (shared)
    - ZZZZZ2
    The way I follow it's:
    1) load ONLY GER1 members filtering by SQL statement (Select * form "TABLE" where "FILED_NAME" ="GER1") with "ALLOW MOVE" option checked into rule properties -> IT'S OK, the member "A" changes its partent correctly
    2) load GER2 in the same way, but the system gives me this error: Dimension build failed. Error code[1060053]. Check the server log and the dimension duild log for more information. Unexpected essbase error1007083
The log dont give me any info and the dimension build log is not created
The same when I try to load GER3 and if I try to load ALL (Ger1 + 2 +3)
My doubt is that is not possible to move shared members..
    Thaks!!

  • I want to writte C# code for 503 Service Unavailable error to web application page immediate close connection any page loaded

Here is a ticket regarding our current client web application (  Image data add, edit , delete in folder with form data in MSSQL Database) that using code c#, web form, ajax, VS2008, MSSQL Server2008 , it appears that there is an error where the HTTP
    503 error occurs.
. Below is a conversation with Host Server support assistant. Can you take a look at it?
    Ben (support) - Hi
Customer - We're having an issue with our windows host
Ben (support) - What's the issue?
    Customer - 503 errors
Ben (support) - I am not getting any 503 errors on your site, is there a specific url to duplicate the error?
Customer - no, it comes and goes without any change Customer - could you have access to any logs ?
Ben (support) - Error logs are only available on Linux shared hosting, however with this error it may be related to you reaching your concurrent connections
Ben (support) - You can review more about this at the link \
Customer - probably yes - how can we troubleshoot ?
    Ben (support) - http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/3206/how-many-visitors-can-view-my-site-at-once
Ben (support) - This is something you need to review your code and databases to make sure they are closing the connections in a timely manner
Customer - we're low traffic, this is an image DB to show our product details to our customers
Customer - ahhhh, so we could have straying sessions ?
Ben (support) - Correct Customer - any way you could check if it's the case ?
Customer - because it was working previously
Ben (support) - We already know that's the case as you stated the 503 errors don't happen all the time if it were issue on the server the the 503 would stay.
Customer - so our 2/3 max concurrent users can max out the 200 sessions
    Customer - correct ?
    Customer - is there a timeout ?
Ben (support) - no that's not a time out concurrent connections are a little different then sessions and or connections. Lets say for an example you have 5 images on your site and 5 7 users come to your site this is not 7 concurrent connections but 35. They
do close after awhile hence why the 503 error comes and goes. You can have these connections close sooner using code but this is something you have to research using your favorite search engine
Customer - thank you so much
Customer - I'm surprised that this just started a few weeks ago when we haven't changed anything for months
Customer - any changes from your side ? lowering of the value maybe ?
Customer - I'm trying to understand what I can report as a significant change
Ben (support) - We haven't touched that limit in years
Ben (support) - This could just be more users to your site than normal or even more images
Customer - I was thinking that could be it indeed
Customer - so I need to research how to quickly close connections when not needed
    Ben (support) - Correctly
    Ben (support) - correct
    Customer - thanks !!
    Ben (support) - Your welcome
     Analysis :
The link provided tells us : All Plesk accounts are limited to 200 simultaneous visitors.
From what Ben (support) says and a little extra research, if those aren't visitors but connections then it's quite easy to max out, especially if the connections aren't closed when finished using. I'd suggest forwarding this to Kasem to see what he thinks.
    Cheers,
    Customer

    Hi Md,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.

I want to writte C# code for 503 Service Unavailable error to web application page immediate close connection any page loaded.
    Since
Visual Studio General Forum which discuss VS IDE issue, I am afraid that you post the issue in an incorrect forum.
To help you find the correct forum, would you mind letting us know more information about this issue? Which kind of web app you develop using C# language? Is it an ASP.NET Web Application?
If yes, I suggest you could post the issue directly on
ASP.NET forum, it would better support your issue.
    Thanks for your understanding.
