PT 8.46 / CRM 8.8 (ERMS) - Timeouts?

At my current client there are issues with emails having large attachments; those attachments are not stored on the server. We checked timeouts on app server / web server (profile) / process scheduler but this doesn't seem to be an issue, they should be large enough. The timeout configured in the Integration Broker also is set to an extremely large value.
Does someone know which timeout values Oracle uses internally in the java code for the actual email connection?
Thanks in advance.

We have PeopleTools 8.46, and we want to integrate it
to a customized application that we are building
using ADF, we are considering the option the above
option, of publishing the needed components
interfaces to web services and consuming them from
the ADF.
I did some research and I could find 8.48 materials
in OTN, but not 8.46.If you read the release notes for PT 8.46, 8.47 and 8.48 you might find some clues to that.
Afair the SOAPtoCI should be present since PT 8.47 at least, but I might be wrong.
ExceltoCI is there for a long time and that uses SOAPtoCI afaik.
So you might be on the wrong Tools for what you want, at least if it comes to OOTB WebServices using CIs.

  • CRM 6.0 ERMS OLTP Report set up

Has anyone used the CRM ERMS OLTP reports available?   Appreciate any comments or advice for set up based on our simple scenario for processing email.   We are on CRM 2007(s) Version 6.0 and at Support Pack Level 5
Our CRM ERMS system is configured to use the SAP SAPconnect Interface and store all emails in the tables of the SAP CRM System.  Every incoming email is routed to the 311 Agent Inbox,  where agents have access to all incoming emails.  Each OPEN incoming email in our system is processed by an agent and once interacted with are set to status COMPLETE.  We do not have any additional business rules defined for automated email processing based on content.
John Burtonu2019s book u201CMaximizing Your SAP CRM Interaction Centreu201D describes E-mail reports that can work with our configuration of ERMS using SAPconnect and Agent Inbox for email processing.
In Section 7.1.3 the Note on page 232, it is stated that for our current version (6.0), several CRM-based reports, known as CRM interactive reports, are available.  The reports are online transaction processing (OLTP) and the data is retrieved directly from the CRM system.
In Section 7.5.3 E-Mail Reports on page 258,  there is mention of a report called Average Handling Time (the actual amount of time where an agent was actively processing the email) that our Contact Centre would like to use.  We would like to start with the standard delivered report but when we (using IC Administrator access) click on the link there is no report available.  Any advice appreciated for set up or required authorization.
More Info:  Agent Processing of Email & Related BI Reporting we have available
All of our available BI reports are based on Service Ticket information.
Agents interact with the emails, processing replies by creating a correctly coded Service Ticket to wrap each e-mail.  The Service Ticket and associated contact account record act like a wrapper, containing both incoming and outgoing emails in the business context.  This allows the correct Organization ID and categorization to be associated to each email interaction via the Service Ticket.  Service tickets created when interacting with email are of interaction type u201CINTu201D.
This is consistent with the manner we drive out Organization and Categorization for our Service Tickets created by telephone calls which are of interaction type u201C202u201D.  These Service Ticket interaction types and statistical information is reportable via the SAP BI 311 reports.  We can tell the volume of Service Tickets created via interacting with email versus the volume created by telephone contact.  We do not have telephony integration with our CRM system at this time.  We do not have any email record data being transferred to BI at this time.

    Hi Donna,
How did you solve this issue? We would also like to report on emails but we are using Interactive Reporting and have no integration with BI. So I wonder if those reports are also possible to use via Interactive Reporting. I do not see any proper OLTP Data Source....
I would be very grateful for advise.
    Thanks and best regards,

  • CRM 5.0 ERMS - Setting Priority, Due Date etc of Incoming Email

    Hi Gurus
    We've moved our incoming e-mail processing from a Non-ERMS set-up to an ERMS set-up.
Previously we were able to assign the Priority & Due Date for Incoming Emails in Transaction.
SPRO -> IMG -> Customer Relationship Management -> Interaction Center Webclient -> Agent Inbox -> Settings for Asynchronous Inbound Processing ->
    Define Receiving E-mail/Fax Settings
Now with E-mails coming through via ERMS we have the following issues:
Priority is set to Medium when we require High
Due Date is set to 31/12/2099 when we require 24 hours from arrival into ERMS
Responsible Group is Blank when it should be the assigned Org Unit.
Is this something that is controlled throught the Rule Modeler, if so how?
Maximum points for the correct answer here.
    Many Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Yes you have to do settings in rule modeler, please go through the following link for ERMS and rule modeler and if you are still not able to solve let me know.

  • Email an invoice directly from SAP CRM 7 via ERMS

    Hi there,
Is there a way to email a customer invoice from SAP CRM7 using SAP ERMS?
With SAP CRM4, we are able to open up the invoice and click on the email icon. This will launch a new email from outlook with the bill attached.
I'm looking for a more integrated way to email an invoice using ERMS within SAP.
    Thanks,
    Catherine

    Hi Catherine,
What if you use the action profile for sending the email?.
    Thanks,

  • CRM 6.0 ERMS auto acknowledge rules for exception not working

I have set up a number of exceptions in our Send Auto Acknowledgement rule but the exceptions are never caught.
An auto acknowledge email is sent in response to emails containing the text defined in the rule for Subject or Sender
I have been unable to find anything regarding what text or format is acceptable - are spaces allowed.  Even my test for English failed and I received a auto acknowledgment to my Japanese email....
    Any ideas?
    If
E-Mail Subject Does Not Contain "undeliverable" or
E-Mail Subject Does Not Contain "E-mail past processing deadline" or
E-Mail Subject Does Not Contain "Out of Office" or
E-Mail Subject Does Not Contain "Delivery Status Notification" or
E-Mail Sender Does Not Contain "postmaster" or
E-Mail Sender Does Not Contain "mailer-daemon" or
E-Mail Sender Does Not Contain "microsoftexchange" or
E-Mail Sender Does Not Contain "ironport" or
E-Mail Sender Does Not Contain "311" or
E-Mail Language Is Not Equal To English or
E-Mail Subject Does Not Contain "Delivery failure notification" or
    Then
Send Auto Acknowledgement ( Mail Form = 311 Auto Reply; Outgoing E-Mail Address = "defined email address had to be removed"; Create Interaction Record = No; Create Service Order = No )

    Donna,
I really think the issue is the "or" operator should be "and".  When using DOES NOT CONTAIN you need "and" for all condition checks.
There is a select "All/Match Any"  on the Conditions Menu that is used to toggle the Match "and" or "or".
    Hope this solves your problem.

    Hi There,

    Regards,

Please check at the SQL Server end if there are any performance bottlenecks. It also depends upon your SQP Query/SP which is trying to update your records in CRM.
There are timeout properties in the BizTalk WCF SQL adapter. You can check
Working with BizTalk Adapter for SQL Server Binding Properties for more details.
    Hope this helps.

  • Timeout in ABAP Proxy

    Hi!
In my scenario messages on CRM are created by a BADI calling an ABAP proxy class on the local Integraton Engine which then forwards the messages to the XI Integration Server and vice versa.
We recently had the problem that the SAPSLDAPI SM59 destinations on XI and CRM ran into a timeout because the SAPSLDAPI service in the JCo RFC Provider Service of the J2EE Admin Tool was not working properly.
While we experienced the SAPSLDAPI timeout problem in the XI Integration Server all messages which XI was supposed to forward to CRM failed in the Call Adapter step in SXMB_MONI with error status 500 (timeout).
I would have assumed that the same happens also on the CRM side when the local Integration Engine was supposed to send messages to XI. However, there was a timeout when pressing the save button in the IC Web Client. The XML messages were not created at all and not visible in SXMB_MONI. Thus in production a call center agent would have not been able to update any customer or product information.
If such a problem arises in my opinion the messages should always be created and queued up by the Integration Engine so that they can be reprocessed once the problem is solved. Does anybody have any idea why this did not happen on the CRM side and do you have any feedback how this problem could be resolved?
    Regards, Tanja

    Hi!
    > Please can you check in the SXMB_MONI of the CRM
    > system if there are any messages stcuk there if you
    > cannot see the same in the XI SXMB_MONI.
There was a timeout when pressing the save button in the IC Web Client. Thus the XML messages were not created at all and not visible in SXMB_MONI on CRM.

  • ERMS: Issue with setting up charset

    Hi Experts,
We are using CRM 6.0 ERMS to send out emails to customers. Based on the Setting in transaction SCOT all the out going emails are sent with UTF-8 charset (Code Page: 4110). Today Japanu2019s internet mail standard is ISO-2022-JP, and most of mail applications have an option to encode outgoing message to JIS. However, all outgoing message from ERMS are UTF-8 (Unicode) without capability to encode other character code. This will result in Japanese mail message broken in most of webmail clients in Japan such as MSN Hotmail.
Has anyone faced this issue before. Can we achieve the funtionality wherein Japanese Code page gets selected based on the customers BP language?
    Regards,
    Namita

The language for the outgoing ERMS email is determined first by content analysis by TREX (some customers may choose not to set up TREX).   If this determination fails the language of the BP is taken into account . If the BP determination fails, the system language of the WF-BATCH user is taken .
From the logic above if the Content Analysis succeeds the Japanese language is set for the email.
We can check the Clasification/Trex setup to make sure that for an email received in Japanese for example the language is recognized.
As an example you can test/debug by following the steps below
1   Send an email in Japanese that will trigger auto acknowledge (need to create a mailform with Japanese text to use in auto acknowledge) .
2   In swi1 look for the background task id corresponding to the ERMS mail
3   Set a breakpoint in class CL_CRM_ERMS_ADD2FB_CA method
         IF_CRM_ERMS_SERVICE~EXECUTE line 77
        IF error_code <> 0.
        CONCATENATE 'TREX error:'(001) error_text '[' 'error code = ' msg
        ']' INTO msg.
        RAISE EXCEPTION TYPE cx_crm_erms_service_failed
If error returned is not 0 means that either there is a problem with TREX or it just could not decide based on the content. However normally it should recognize the language. (Watch variable xml_chunk - at the end
of the XML there is a language tag that should have some value 'DE'
    'EN' etc)
4  Run program CRM_ERMS_LOGGING. For workitem id enter the id of the
    background task from step 2
    5. The program stops at the breakpoint mentioned above.
    6. Also note that if the language is detected correctly you need also the mail form that is used to be translated in that language ( Japanese ).
The language of the email overwrites the SXCPSEND entry (language to codepage mapping)
    To sumarize:
    1. Check if clasification/bp detects the language
    2. Mailform is translated in Japanese
    3. Mapping for codepage is maintained in SapConnect (SXCPSEND language to codepage mapping)
I hope these steps will help the investigation.

  • Can we use ERMS functionality for creation of a Grantor Application ?

I would like to use external web form or Adobe form on the internet where potential Grantee applies for grants.
The information collected (upfront validation through Adobe forms) is transferred to CRM Grantor via ERMS which created a grant application in the CRM Grantor system.
How would the ERMS solution work ? is this a viable option as I am not confident of exposing CRM Web UI to internet (external users - public access).
Are there other potential viable solutions for Grant application process.
    Thanks in advance
    Hemant

    Hi,
The potential solution could be like, the grantee (external user - public) applies for grant by filling an online grant application form (web form or Adobe form). The information collected by the online form generates an email which is readable by ERMS (web form to email conversion)
This incoming email subjected to some workflow rules can lead to creation of a grants application in SAP CRM Grantor and the user receives communication (email) that his application has been received and the following if the application number (same number as created in SAP)
Let me know if this makes sense, I am looking for potential solutions to address this and one of the way is to use ERMS functionality.
    Thanks again

  • ERMS - Mail deletion

    Hi Forum
We are on CRM 2007 using ERMS module to receive mails and to create IRs and Service tickets.
In case any email is received and processed, whcih carries sensitive/confidential information then we have a legal requirement to delete such mails. Right now we are struggling with it as we dont have any standard process to achieve it.
All we have achieved so far is the archival of workitems, which removes the mail from Agent's inboxes. The mail still remains in the manager's workbench.
    So how can we
    a) remove the mail from manager's workbench
    b) If the mail has been processed and a service ticket or IR got created. How can we remove the mail from business context.
    Thanks & Regards
    VIM

Thanks Ashish for your time and reply !
Well, the solution you are suggested is for pro-active monitoring but that may not be the case everytime. And correct me if I am wrong, even the pro-active deletion will not delete tha mail from Manager's workbench. The process you describe will eliminate the dialog step of the workflow resulting in blocking the mail to reach agent's inbox.
There can many instances, where the mail has been processed and then during review we need to purge such mails. We need to remove them from not only from agent's inboxes (can be achieved from workflow archival) but also from manager's workbench and Service transaction's (IR, Service ticket) business context.
And that is the challenge we face. I will be glad to know if you or anyone else in the forum managed to achieve it.
    Thanks & Regards

  • IC WEBCLIENT - E-MAIL RESPONSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

    Hi,
I am in CRM Service.  I am new to IC WEB.  I want to develop automatic mail generation in service ticket screen ( CRMD_ORDER)  with respect to the delay time from SLA(Service Level Agreement).  It is 50% delay for 2 hours late customers and 100% delay for 4 hours late.  Can you tell me how to generate automatic mails step by step process and how to calculate percentage and where to insert the mathematical expression? Thank you very much for this.

  • Inbound EMail VS Interactions created

    Hi,
We are using CRM 7 and ERMS is setup and running without any issues. When an inbound email received to specific mail id, ERMS will create interaction record(Activity) in CRM.
Sometimes we are finding issues like customer send an email, received to outlook, received in CRM from outlook but Interaction record not created. We are checking number of interactions created in CRM with user WF-BATCH as it create through workflow.
Is there anyway otherway to see number of inbound emails received vs number of Interactions(Activity) created are created. Any standard Table or report available for this?
    Shaik.

    Hi Pramod,
the problem is related to the Inbound Processing Rule CL_RMPS_INCOMING_MAIL.
The reason for the workflow not getting created lies with your settings in SO50.
There you can find the following mailhandlers:
Comm.Type Recipient Doc.Class Exit Name Call seq.
    INT * * CL_MPA_HANDLE_ALERT_REPLY 2
    INT * ICS CL_APPOINTMENT_REPLY 3
The Exit CL_MPA_HANDLE_ALERT_REPLY will be called for all SMTPrecipients
    (Recipient = *, Comm.Type = INT)
This exit sets se_retcode = IF_INBOUND_EXIT_BCS=>gc_terminate and this
now will suppress the delivery to the Business Workplace as
well as Means, you need to ensure, that all exit handler, which you
use, have e_retcode = if_inbound_exit_bcs=>gc_continue at the end.
Therefore I would ask you to check again your settings in
    SO50.
    Regards
    Itty
